A/N: Okay... so here is the next chapter of this story. The feedback about Sarah and Ryleigh were good so far, so I'm gonna keep going with that. I wanted to try and lighten things up by making this chapter funny and including Claudia. Bering and Wells will appear a little later and we will soon learn about a few of our favorite peoples connection with the warehouse.

WARNING! Not heavy on the Bering-Wells. I know but please don't skip this chapter or the next one will make ZERO sense. lol.

No beta so all mistakes are mine. Enjoy. The chapter I mean... not the mistakes. :)

Sarah sat in Artie's office, spinning around in his chair with her phone in her hand. She was grounded for two weeks, but it was all for show. People needed to see that her parents were 'punishing' her, but why would they when they supported her one hundred percent? So her being grounded simply meant hiding away with the greatest people she knew; her family.

"Hey, since you're just sitting there waiting for your girlfriend to text you back will you be okay alone for like thirty minutes?" Claudia addressed the teenager, hands relaxed at her side as she arched an eyebrow waiting for an answer.

"Um... yeah. Where are you going?"

"Just gonna get my other laptop at the B&B and I'll probably pick us up some lunch."

Sarah nodded and spun in the chair again staring at her phone. Claudia quickly stopped the chair, causing Sarah to jerk in response. "Woah!"

"You don't touch anything..."

"I don't touch anything, I don't move from this spot, I don't do this... don't do that... I know the rules Claude. I've known them since I was seven."

"Okay. I'll be right back." Claudia turned to leave. Sarah just sat there, her foot tapping the concrete floor when her phone buzzed and beeped. "Tell Ryleigh I said hi." Claudia left with a smirk on her face.

Sarah shook her head and opened her texts.

'Can you believe his parents are pressing charges!?'

'I know. They were upset I kicked him. I guess they wanted grandkids.' Sarah sighed and hit send, then continued to spin.

'How are your parents taking it?'

'They're fine. Money isn't an issue with this so my mum is hiring a great lawyer but... I don't think they'll be able to get this taken off my record.' Sarah hated that this incident would haunt her. She just wished there was something she could do.

'I'm so sorry love.' Sarah smiled for a second at the term of endearment. She and Ryleigh had gotten more comfortable with each other in that way; and in her opinion, it was the best thing that came from that night at the dance.

Sarah was lost in her thoughts, bothered by the sudden urge to venture into the warehouse. She didn't understand it, but something was pulling at her. Her phone buzzing and beeping in her hand shook her from her thoughts.

'You still here?'

'Yeah. I have to do something. can I text you back in a minute?'

'Sure. I'll be here.'

':)'

Sarah stood up and before she knew it, she was on the warehouse floor, staring into the vast, open and enless pit of wonder. She had never seen it this way before; normally towering over all of it in Artie's office but now it towered over her in miles and miles of a chaotic mess of shelves. She walked and didn't know how she couldn't see it coming; but about five turns in, she was lost. She sat down and pulled out her phone, ready to text her parents when something caught her eye. The energy that she felt radiating off the object was incredibly alluring. Her good senses screamed at her to get up and walk away, but it failed to overcome her need to just touch it, and when she did, she knew exactly what it was for.

...

"Hey kid I'm back..." Claudia dropped lunch all over the office floor and ran down the spiral staircase. "Sarah!?" She had been feeling her connection to the warehouse more and more each day, but it was strongest when she was actually in the warehouse. "Kid where are you? Your parents are gonna kill me." Claudia yelled, mumbling the last part to herself.

"Claudia!" The redhead heard the young girls and found her quickly, backed into a corner surrounded by ferrets. "I'm so sorry! Help." Sarah squeaked.

Claudia didn't mean to laugh, in fact she meant to be stern and caretaker-like; but she couldn't help it. This has happened to all of them at least once, some of them twice; Pete. "Put down the pot and slowly walk over here to me."

Sarah took a breath, nodded her head and did as she was told. "Ferrets!?" She whispered loudly.

"Yeah. It happens sometimes and... well it's happened."

"It has?" Sarah was still side stepping her way toward her friend, careful to avoid startling one of the creatures.

"You were still little when we had him but you remember Pete the ferret?"

"Yes, he died when I was... wait he was..." Sarah pointed to the animals still surrounding her.

"Yup! Your mom's impossible wish. Impossible wishes equal ferrets. At least SHE only made one."

"I didn't mean to make this many! I just kept trying to reword my wish or change my wish to get the same result."

"Unfortunately that's not how this artifact works. Wait... how did you know what it did?"

"I... I don't know I just felt it I guess."

Claudia decided to store that bit of information for later. "What the heck were you wishing for anyway?" She reached across the sea of ferrets and took Sarah's hand, pulling her over the rest of the way.

"Nothing. It's not a big deal."

"Kid, if it resulted in this many ferrets, it must have been a huge deal."

"To be fair, about fifty of them were me wishing for them to disappear."

Claudia slammed her forehead into her palm. "You couldn't stop wishing that when you realized it wasn't working?"

"I'm sorry! I was desperate! Please help me."

"Luckily this has happened so many times that there is a protocol. Just don't know if it'll work with this many of them so let's clean up before anyone else finds out."

"Too late Ms. Donovan."

Both Claudia and Sarah shrank into themselves at the caretakers voice.

"Mrs. Fredric!" Sarah didn't know why she squeaked so much today, but nothing was going right.

"Sarah, Claudia."

"Irene." Claudia crossed her arms in front of her.

"Claudia." The wise sage warned.

"Mrs. Fredric." Claudia huffed.

"Better. Let's go up to the office shall we?" She turned and walked toward the stairs. "I've already called your parents young lady. They're on their way."

"Oh no." Sarah whispered, dropping her head and walking solemnly behind the current and future caretakers, preparing for her punishment.

...

"Sarah Josephine Bering-Wells!" The Brit's voice was the first to be heard. She knew better than anyone what breaking the rules would lead to which is why she often changed them. That didn't mean she approved of her daughter venturing into the warehouse, in fact she hated it. "You know the rules." Helena was stern, like Claudia meant to be but wasn't. She knelt in front of her daughter and scolded her like a child. "It's dangerous down there Sarah! Those rules are in place for a reason and now..."

"Helena." Myka put her hand on her wife's shoulder. "It's okay just, give her a minute." Helena stood and walked back to the wall opposite of every one else, leaning back against it with her arms wrapped around her midsection. "Sarah are you okay?"

"I'm fine. We have ferrets."

"I heard." Myka smiled softly, pulling her daughter into a warm hug. "Your mum is just worried okay? There might be consequences and we don't know if we'll be able to do anything about them." Sarah's eyes widened as she pulled away to look at everyone. "She's right sweetie, the rules are in place for a reason."

"I know." Sarah looked at Mrs. Fredric. "What now?"

"Well, a few of the regents are coming to the warehouse but perhaps you and I could have a little talk alone?" The woman turned and walked into a private room toward the back of the office. Sarah looked around the room at everyone; a mixture of shrugging shoulders, eyebrow raises and nods eventually leading her to follow the caretaker. She gulped loudly before going.

"Mrs. Fredric? How much trouble am I in because I really didn't mean to go down there I just... I couldn't help it... I mean... I guess I could have but I didn't so I understand that there are consequences but please please please if there's a list of how to get rid of me floating around out there, just don't disolve my body in acid."

The caretaker waited for Sarah to take a breath before she said anything. "Miss Bering-Wells are you finished?"

"Yes?"

"You know why we put that rule about you being at least 18 before going down there correct?"

"Because having a kid running around a warehouse full of supernatural mystical juju is... well bad juju?"

"Because your parents would destroy us if anything horrible happened to you. It's their rule Sarah. They know how dangerous this place really is and they put their lives on the line every single day and they wanted to share all of this with you but they are afraid that it will tear everything apart."

"Because of Christina?"

"There are so many reasons. They've seen the best of this warehouse and the worst. Your sister and the bronze being two of the many." Mrs. Fredric sat down, gesturing for Sarah to join her, which she did. "If this place took you from them, no one knows what would happen, but it wouldn't be good. The regents need to know that you understand why what you did was wrong."

"I understand."

"You'll have somewhat of a trial... a meeting. Nothing too big, it's just protocol."

"I've been hearing that word a lot today." Sarah huffed leaning back with her arms crossed.

"Your wish didn't come true." Irene observed.

"No. The kettle called to me Mrs. Fredric, why didn't it work?"

"Maybe the kettle could hear your wishes and wanted to teach you something. Often times, the warehouse knows our deepest desires, what we want but most importantly, what we need."

"I wanted to have a different life. The kettle was telling me that this is the life I need. It's too hard though. I'm scared." Sarah hardly looked at the older woman so openly and in such a vulnerable state. She wasn't as close to Mrs. Fredric as Claudia or Artie was; but her eyes watered as she opened up and shared her fear. "I wanted a normal life."

"I think there's a purpose for everything and everyone. I know you have a connection to the warehouse Sarah, just like your parents. If I know it, the warehouse knows it. It isn't going to be easy, but you can be apart of it someday. It can get lonely and frightening, but it's worth it to know that you're helping people."

Sarah nodded. She heard the regents arrive and looked back to see Mrs. Fredric was gone, then she heard the woman's voice in the other room. "How did she do that?" Sarah sighed and got up, walking toward the conversation taking place without her.

...

"Is my mom coming?" Pete asked one of the regents.

"She was in the car behind us, she should be in shortly."

When everyone arrived, they all sat around the office, Sarah perched comfortably and safely between her parents. A lot of discussion took place in the small room. People debated and the conversation was surprisingly pleasant. The regents weren't as scary as Sarah had imagined; the only one she knew was her Aunt Jane. Her punishment was simply a grounding. This time for real. She could go out for school but when she was home, she would only be allowed to go from her house to the B&B and into the garden where she would help Leena. She had to do chores and homework and that was it.

"That's it?"

"Is there something else you'd like to do?" Jane asked, eyebrows raised, sending Sarah a message to just take what she got.

"No. It's just very normal. I'm grounded."

"You're grounded." Helena confirmed. "This also means, no computers except for school work and... no phone."

"What!? But... Ryleigh she'll..."

"Darling." Helena put her hand on Sarah's leg. "You can call Ryleigh to tell her that you're grounded and won't be able to text this week, possibly next week but you'll see her and talk to her at school. If she wants to come over to do school work, we will figure something out."

"Okay."

Everyone got up and started to leave; the regents shaking hands with the agents, Jane hugging them since her relationship with them was so much more than just boss and employees.

The warehouse started shaking and Janes wrist ached as she pulled away from everyone, clutching her arm into her body.

"Mom!" Pete was by her side instantly, his arm over her shoulder. "What's happening? Are you okay!?"

"The shackle." She held up her hand and everyone looked on in awe as the Remati shackle glowed around her wrist. "I don't know what's happening."

"Is it the warehouse?" Mrs. Fredric asked. "Is there a threat?"

Claudia went on her computer and started typing away, checking the perimeter. "No! There's nothing wrong." She checked activity in the warehouse, no artifacts were going off. "Everything looks fine!"

"Irene." Jane said softly, calmer now. "Look." The shackle stopped glowing, they all heard a faint click and it fell, clattering to the ground. "What does this mean? The warehouse doesn't have a guardian unless someone is wearing that."

"Claudia are you one hundred percent sure that the warehouse is safe?"

"It is I swear! I don't know what's going on but if there is a threat it's right here in this room. But I don't feel any threats do you?"

Irene was silent, looking around and shook her head. "No. Everything feels fine. Arthur pull up everything you can about the shackle. Something's happening and we need to figure it out quickly before something does threaten the warehouse. Without a guardian, the warehouse is vulnerable."

Okay... so not much Bering and Wells, but I swear the next chapter is gonna be Bering and Wells! It will be Bering and Wells and warehouse stuff. YAY!
