Chapter 72: An End Once and For all Pt. 2
Authors Note: Okay everyone…yeah I got nothing, enjoy! Oh, Light Seeker is working on a Crosssover with the Shadow Warriors and Predators it is pretty awesome.

Eden was just as biblical as Adrian could make it. The grass was green, flowers and trees covered the landscape and there was even a water fall and river built in.
"Damn, this guy has some sick interior decorating." Gauntlet joked.
"I wouldn't mind taking this place for our headquarters." Surge chuckled.
"Hey, keep what you kill." Dusk chipped in. "I say when were done here we just take this place for our own."
"Okay guys, we'll discuss hostile take overs later." Gauntlet reassured. "Now usually we are supposed to be quiet and as careful as possible on these missions. But since it is now our job to be a decoy we can be as loud and destructive as we want so…Take them down!"
Gauntlet rose from the spot where he was hiding and fired a beam of fire at the doorway. An explosion helped create a noise so loud that it shook the Earth beneath them.
"Well that's one way to get attention." Phoenix chuckled.
"Make it loud baby!" Artemis cheered as she readied her bow.
The team leaped out of their hiding spots and started to take down as many of Adrian's troops as possible. Surge blasted his electricity at the troops before they could fire their guns at them while Dusk and Artemis fought them off with their hand to hand training.
When a few heavy gunmen ran out armed with mini-guns, Artemis quickly readied her bow and fired three exploding arrows at them. They went up in flames as Phoenix fired his fire bolts at any enemy vehicles that came their way.
Gauntlet noticed that there were a lot more troops coming in and took his cue to call Jayden.
"Jayden, they're coming after us now." He informed. "If you're going to do your thing you better do it now."
"Roger that." Jayden said on his end. "Everyone move in."
Up above the fighting The Raven zeroed in on the skyscraper and fired a rocket into the side of it. When the smoke cleared a large hole was made and allowed everyone to enter safely.
"Okay Reaper, the JLA are down that hall." Jayden said pointing at the opposite end of their direction. "And Adrian is down this way. When you free them make sure they are secured before regrouping."
"You got it." Reaper nodded. "Okay, let's go."
While the two teams up high were making their way to their destinations Gauntlet's team were preparing to move out as well. They fought back against the group of guards as best they could until another guard showed up.
He crashed down into the ground sending shockwaves throughout the area. When the smoke cleared Gauntlet's eyes widened in horror to see Black Beetle, standing in the center of the crater he had just created.
"So, you found your way off the hell planet." Beetle said with a menacing grin.
"Yeah, your friends say hi by the way." Gauntlet grinned sheepishly. Beetle merely shrugged it off.
"The ambassador embarrassed himself and our race with his pathetic planning." Beetle grunted. "I am here to finish what he started."
"You're a fool." Surge grunted. "You're a means to an end. Adrian will cast you aside when he doesn't need you any longer."
"Enough, time to end your pitiful lives." Beetle grunted as his hands turned into his duel swords.
Beetle flew straight towards Gauntlet and brought his blades down on him. The demigod was quick enough to draw his sword, but he wasn't strong enough to hold him back. The impact sent Gauntlet flying back and into a nearby wall.
Beetle grinned viciously until Dusk send a right hook to the side of his face, but Beetle merely shrugged it off.
"Was that supposed to hurt?" Beetle grunted. Dusk was shocked, he had his Adonis charged at full power and he didn't even move him from his standing position. Beetle raised his fist and sent it towards Dusk who pulled out his tonfas at the last second and deflected the hit.
Surge and Phoenix fired their attacks at Beetle. Surge stunned him temporarily with his electricity before Phoenix blasted him with a few fire bolts. Beetle went flying back while Artemis fired multiple arrows into his armor. Before Beetle landed on the ground the arrows exploded engulfing the Reach Warrior in a fiery explosion.
Everyone looked on in anticipation hoping they destroyed him. When the smoke cleared Beetle was lying face down in a smoking crater with chunks and pieces of his armor gone, exposing some of his pale green flesh.
Everyone let out a sigh of relief, but they were quickly stunned to see the brute rising to his feet. His armor was morphing back to normal and all the damage they had done was repaired. He stood there smirking as he readied his sonic cannons.
"Pathetic meat." Beetle chuckled.
Before he could fire, a blast of fire struck his right shoulder and knocked him back a bit. When he turned to fire at the assailant his cannon was shot off by Gauntlet who dove in and sent his right fist to Beetles face.
His magic was stronger than Beetles tech and he was able to deal lethal damage to Beetle. He sent another fist to his face, but Beetle caught it before throwing him over his shoulder and slamming him on the ground.
The wind was knocked out of Gauntlet as he laid on the ground with Beetle standing over him. Phoenix quickly activated his overload power engulfing his body in fire. He spread his arms out and flew towards Beetle, blasting a strong fire blast at Beetle.
Beetle quickly activated his jets and flew out of the way avoiding his fiery death. He aimed his cannons at Phoenix and fired them at the boy knocking him down and out.
Artemis and Dusk were next as he flew towards the two with murder in his eyes. The two fired at him but were having no affect and were quickly knocked down. Surge's face flared up in electricity and his hands gave off multiple sparks as he charged up.
He thrust his hands out and blasted strong bolts of electricity at Beetle. The warrior let out a scream as Surge continued pouring his energy into him, but in a matter of seconds he was tapped out and exhausted.
Beetle was still in pain while Surge fell to the ground unconscious. Beetle readied his blade and stomped towards the fallen soldier but was once again shot in the back. He let out a feral snarl and turned towards the assailant Gauntlet.
"You and I aren't even close to being done yet." Gauntlet grunted with a fire ball held in his hand.
"You pathetic meat sack." Beetle snarled as he stomped towards the boy. "I've read your profile. You draw your power from those Gauntlets. Without them you are nothing."
"And without that scarab you would have been dead ten minutes ago." Gauntlet shot back as he stomped towards Beetle. "And you're wrong my power is my own. Vulcan just helped me unlock it. While you on the other hand are helpless without your scarab, you wouldn't be talking so tough if you were in your true form."
"Lies, you are using power that you stole, power that doesn't even belong to you."
"This is my power, but Vulcan helps me wield it." Just then an orange fiery hue covered Gauntlet. "Vulcan was just a smithy at one point until one day the love of his life broke his heart. When he screamed, volcanoes started breaking through the ground and fire rained from the skies. That was Vulcan's power and this is my power."
Beetle brought his blade down on Gauntlet ready to finish him, but Gauntlet melted the blade with a mere swat of his hand. Beetle was alarmed for a moment and went to shoot him with his cannon until he realized that his armor was slowly melting.
"No" Beetle panicked as he was brought to his knees by the heats intensity. Gauntlet was now joined with Vulcan and circled around Beetle and blasted a small heat wave at his back. His armor melted down to the point where his scarab was exposed and reached down and grabbed it.
With one swift pull Gauntlet ripped the scarab off of Beetle's neck and turned the small bug to ash. It let out a dying shriek as Beetle's armor turned to ash revealing the buff Reach warrior beneath.
Black Beetle was no more.
Gauntlet readied his fist ready to finish him off but stayed his hand. This man wasn't going to be of any more trouble to anyone.
"Why do you not strike Sam?" Vulcan asked.
"He's not worth it, besides we're needed elsewhere." Gauntlet assured as his friends started to regroup. "You guys okay?"
"Yeah, but looks like you took care of this asshole." Phoenix grunted.
"Good job, but we still have more of Adrian's men coming for us." Surge grunted while absorbing his energy packs. Gauntlet radioed the Raven.
"Red Hood, we need help down here." Gauntlet informed.
"Don't worry I've already made a call back home." Damian's voice came through.
"What do you mean?" Artemis asked.
"He means us."
Everyone turned to the top of the main doorway to see Talia Al Ghul and her assassins armed and ready for a fight.
"What the hell are you doing here?" Dusk snapped.
"Damian called me and informed me that you would need help." Talia stated. "If you are planning on going on ahead you will need us to prevent additional forces from following you."
"Sam we need to get going now!" Artemis grunted.
"Dammit, fine but if you screw us over in any way." Gauntlet started but was quickly cut off by Talia.
"I would never do anything to harm my son's." She snapped as she drew her sword. "Now go!"
She and her forces engaged Adrian's men while Gauntlet led his team to regroup with the rest of the Warriors.

Hitgirl and Whisper have just gunned down another troop as they moved closer to the stasis pods where the Justice League was being held.
They had just made it to the holding cells door and Reaper quickly hacked the console opening the door with a gun turret aiming at them from the ceiling. Everyone quickly ducked behind the doorway as bullets rapidly whipped past them.
"Okay, anyone have any ideas?" Whisper grunted. "Apollo can you hack into it?"
"I'm a medic not a technician, the robot suit is just for show." She grunted.
"Anyone have any nukes?" Ronin asked.
"I have some C-4." Hitgirl informed as she pulled out the explosive.
"Give it here." Zoom said. "I can get to it fast enough stick it on and blow it to scarp."
Hitgirl nodded and handed him the explosive device. Zoom took a deep breath and fastened his goggles before running down the long hallway. The turret followed his every step leaving bullet holes with every step Zoom took. He eventually got close enough to stick the C-4 to the bottom of the turret and blew it up after Zoom got away safely. When the smoke cleared Zoom waved down at his friends.
"Whew, hairy situation." Zoom chuckled.
"Pretty low security though." Apollo stated. "This is the Justice League why wouldn't Adrian have any more security?"
"Who says he didn't?" Ronin said.
When they turned the corner they have encountered Blackfire, Sinestro, killer Frost and Captain Cold along with a Joker and his goons.
"Well isn't this a funny situation aye Reaper?" Joker chuckled.
"I've had funnier than this." Reaper grunted a he readied his scythe.
"Yes, we had some good laughs." Joker sighed. "But now it's time to say goodbye to this dull world."
"Dull, you are talking about genocide you sick bastard!" Whisper snapped.
"Oh don't be such a downer." Joker grunted. "Fire cleanses after all, but I would like to know where my beloved daughter is."
"Right here."
Joker turned and was quickly kicked in the face by Batgirl. Blackfire charged up her star bolts, but was shot down by Starfire.
"Always good to see you sister." Starfire grinned, her eyes glowing green.
"Sister, come to burn with the rest of the world?" Blackfire sneered, her eyes glowing black.
"Not while we're standing."
Starfire quickly dived towards her sister and tackled her through the wall while Leonae and Sinestro fought it out. Leonae fired a dark matter ball at Sinestro but he blocked with his shield. Sinestro then fired a beam at Leonae but he dodged out of the way before he could hit.
"You are good, but you are nothing compared to me or the power of fear." Sinestro said as his ring glowed yellow.
"Eh, I'm not such a nice guy myself." Leonae chuckled.
Zoom quickly tackled Sinestro to the ground and wrestled for his ring. Sinestro charged up a chainsaw above Zoom until Leonae blocked off his energy with his dark matter and crushed it.
Sinestro's yellow suit disappeared and he was now cladded in his blue jumpsuit. Zoom raised his fist and sent them down into his face knocking him out.
"Not bad whelp." Leonae chuckled.
"Whatever, old man." Zoom grunted.
Killer Frost and Whisper were fighting each other with their blades. Whisper had her knife and Frost had her ice daggers. They parried for a moment before Whisper swept her feet and pinned her to the ground.
"You're done snow flake!" Whisper grunted, pressing the knife against her throat.
Frost responded by blowing wind in her eyes filled with ice shards. Whisper was blinded from the pain and tripped on the ground. She couldn't open her eyes from the pain and she couldn't see Frost aiming her hands at her.
She readied to fire, but Ronin quickly pulled Whisper out of the way and threw a flash bang at her. It went off blinding Frost allowing Apollo to take her down from behind with a stun shot. She restrained Frost and gave her team the thumbs up.
"Great work guys." Apollo grinned under her helmet.
"Yeah, real fine and dandy." Whisper grunted as she tried to pry her frozen eyes opened.
"Hang in there I got you." Apollo said as she tended to her friend.
Arsenal and Hitgirl fired at Captain Cold who shot at them with his ice pistols.
"So tell me why were you and Jayden kicked out of the League?" She asked while loading her gun. Arsenal fired a laser bolt at Cold who ducked away from the attack.
"We were too vicious for the JLA apparently." Arsenal grunted. "When we were fired Jayden stuck around to finish off the Reach and I haven't seen him since then. Give him credit though he along with Cheshire and my clone found me. You're lucky have him as your leader."
"Yeah, he brought us together." She and Arsenal rose up from their cover and took down Cold shooting him in both his arms. "Now it's our turn to help him."
Reaper had ducked Joker's knife and quickly landed an uppercut to his chin. Batgirl quickly jumped over him and landed a kick to his chest knocking him on his back. She let out a scream and started beating down her father pummeling her fist into his face.
"Ugh, you really have solid fists my dear." Joker chuckled. "Bird boy and his crowbar have got nothing on you."
"Ahhh!" She screamed as she pulled out a batarang and held it against his throat. "I hate you so much."
"Good, now finish me off." He snickered.
"Sarina." Reaper grunted. "Don't do it, he isn't worth it."
"He is worth it, I can do it!" She shouted while pressing the blade against his throat.
"Sure you can and then you can trade in that black suit for this nice purple one." Joker chuckled as he played with his collar.
"Sarina, this isn't you." Reaper said with sincerity. "You're Batgirl, he crippled the last one and now his daughter is the new Batgirl. Face it as long as you wear that mask he will always lose."
Sarina was frozen for a moment before she slowly lowered her blade. Joker started to chuckle as she stood to her feet.
"You know I will just escape." He groaned.
"Yeah, and like the old Batgirl you can do it from your chair."
She raised her foot and brought it down on his knee breaking his leg and then his next one. Joker let out a scream as he rolled on the ground in pain. She breathed heavily as she walked over to the stasis pods.
She disabled the locks along with the rest of the team. The Titans and Justice League fell out of stasis and were soon helped to their feet.
"Easy there leader." Arsenal said to Nightwing who merely chuckled at the remark.
"Very funny Speedy." Nightwing joked.
"What's the situation?" Black Canary asked.
"Shit is about to go down bad." Hitgirl grunted. "That's the situation."
"Jayden is on his way to stop the ritual." Robin informed as he ran inside. "Raven is on her way to help them."
"We need to help them Trigon cannot be allowed to escape." Superman said before grunting in pain.
"Hold on champ you aren't in any condition to fight." Whisper said. "Apollo can you help?"
"Sure." The medic said as she tended to the League.
While Apollo aided everyone Batgirl looked away from everyone. Batman staggered over to her and placed his hand on her shoulder only for her to shake him off.
"Sarina…" Batman whispered.
"Don't, I blew it big time." She whimpered.
"Sarina, did you know that me and the rest of the League were taken hostage by Vandal Savage and were framed for a galactic crime." Batman explained which slowly lifted her mood. "In the end we were all saved by the Titans and proven innocent. They could have been mad but they weren't they were just happy we were alive."
"But…"
"No, you're alright and that is all I care about." Batman smiled. Sarina started to whimper before embracing Batman an sobbing in his chest.
As Batman comforted his apprentice he couldn't help but wonder how his son was doing.

Jayden and his team were close to Adrian's lair and were close to the end before encountering a familiar face.
"Well, long time no see Saber." Jayden said as he drew his blade. "How are you?"
His question was answered when the soul eaters in the form of his fallen enemies appeared before him. Saber took his goggles off and drew his crimson red sword.
"Pissed off and ready for round two." Saber grinned, his fangs grew long and his pupils turned into red crosshairs.
"Likewise."
