Crosskit blinked, her fur fluffing up and with-drawling back against her body one after another. It had been a couple sunrises since her missed ceremony, and she wished for it to come soon. Even though it was, in two more sunrises. Her fur began to bristle, and she sprinted out of the den. Leaping over to Lionpaw, who was chatting carelessly with Leopardpaw. "Lionpaw! I don't know what to do. It's been too long," she blurted out.

Leopardpaw shifted his paws uncomfortably, feeling secluded from the other cats. He rose to his paws, and trotted off, heading over to Swiftpaw and Pinepaw.

"What's wrong Crosskit? What are you talking about?" Lionpaw blinked, his tail flicking in content. "I just... It has been so long since we've talked, played or I even have saw you." Crosskit murmured, her gaze falling to her paws. "I didn't mean to disturb you and your friend, I just, now that Rainstorm has allowed me to play outside; finally. I wanted to see you again."

Lionpaw shrugged. "I'm okay with that. Come on, then. Leopardpaw and I were about to go stalking in the bushes for some desperate prey." He grinned, and gestured to the fresh kill pile with his muzzle. "See that crow on the top? I caught that." Lionpaw puffed out his fur, eyes gleaming. Rainstorm had obviously heard, her paw-steps sounding beside Crosskit. "Nice job," she praised her son. Lionpaw flushed. "Thanks." He mumbled, meow muffled. "Crosskit and I are going a bit out to check out the Prey-Bushes." Lionpaw told Rainstorm, glancing at Crosskit. "You know, the place I was telling you about. I knew you wouldn't know of it, so I didn't tell you the name." He didn't show any sign of teasing, he only meant to be kind. But that didn't matter to Crosskit, she was still angered. Rainstorm shrugged. "Just stay safe Lionpaw." She smiled at her kit. "What about Crosskit?" Lionpaw asked, but Rainstorm had already turned away, ignoring what he had said. She flicked an ear and trotted off towards Robinsky, who looked glum.

"Hello, Robinsky." She purred. He was silent, before opening his jaws, "I cant find you." He frowned. "What? I'm right here, you blind-rabbit." She smirked. "No. I can't find the one I fell in love with from the start, it's just, you're different now..."

"What are you talking about? I'm the same old me." Rainstorm lashed her tail. "No. You're not. See, when Crosskit was born, you abandoned her, and turned enraged. I don't like that about you anymore. You judge on her looks." Robinsky growled softly. "What?! She was a sign from CloudClan, she was a curse for death!" she snapped at her mate. This time, Robinsky didn't flinch. Instead, he turned his solid gaze to Rainstorm. "You don't know that, she is a completely perfect kitten. So stop judging the poor kit who did nothing to deserve this!"

"No, I'm doing it all right, you'll see!" Rainstorm retorted. Robinsky's fur began to bristle. "Then you are no longer my mate," he snarled, fur bushing out before he whipped around, and stormed out of Camp.

Crosskit watched, traumatized at the sight. "Lionpaw, I-I'm so sorry..." her tail whipped down to the ground, and in between her legs. "It's not your fault." Lionpaw muttered, his orbs narrowed into a glare at Rainstorm, realizing what she had been doing all along. "Come on, let's go." Her litter mate, called over Leopardpaw, and the three of them left to search around inside Camp.

"Found something!" Crosskit called, leaping onto a tree root and burrowing inside to grasp a mouse and throw it up into the air. Lionpaw leaped over, his jaws parting and swooping towards the kill. He snapped it's spine in half and cracked its small neck. Crosskit wondered how that felt, is it a nice feeling? To feed the Clan, or to kill something.

Shut up, Crosskit. That's none of your business.

"Guys, help!" Leopardpaw yelped, his head stuck in a hole inside a trunk of a tree. Crosskit burst out laughing, leaping up to Leopardpaw and leaping onto his back. "Haha! You're a paw stool." She joked. "Get me out, Crosskit, I mean it!" Leopardpaw writhed around inside the hole, ears lacing back against his head. "Okay, okay... Calm down," Crosskit smirked, and began lightly nuzzling his neck fur that was stuck between the hole and the outer-world. He lashed around, paws flailing as he tried to escape the grip of the tree. But finally, the nuzzling worked, and Leopardpaw slipped out. Head shaking viciously. Leopardpaw dropped backwards, next to Crosskit, who squealed and leaped onto him in a flurry of fur, to escape being fallen on. She was the same size as him, just not as muscular, and tall. So it hurt him when she leaped up.

"What happened? I was only a couple fox-lengths away," he smirked, padding up to the two. Crosskit blushed, and leaped off of her new friend. "Um... I just slipped and fell onto Leopardpaw, that's all." She lied, her ear twitching. Lionpaw grinned, and nodded. "Okay... I'll go back to Camp, come on guys."

Rainstorm greeted Lionpaw in Camp with a bright smile, as if nothing had ever happened between her and Robinsky. "Nice catches, Lionpaw." She praised her son. "Actually, it was more Crosskit that caught it, I just killed it." Lionpaw replied, just as Rainstorm began meowing, "now, now. We all know Crosskit can't do anything, so stop lying to help raise her dignity. She lost it the moment I saw that scar." Rainstorm meowed sternly, her eyes scolding.

Lionpaw lowered his head, and padded towards the fresh kill pile, dropping his catch at the pile and heading towards the apprentice den, paws dragging on the ground. "Lionpaw?" Crosskit murmured. "It's okay, you know. I don't care." She lied, all over again. Her ears laced back against her head, and she glanced to Leopardpaw, eyes clouded with hurt. She was tearing apart her family. Leopardpaw, was frowning, tail lashing. He didn't seem to like Rainstorm, either. "Go on, Crosskit. You should rest, I'll go too."

"But it's cold in my nest, alone." Crosskit's head and tail drooped and she churned her paws into the ground. "Well... Then I'll stay with you. It wouldn't hurt." Leopardpaw's eyes glimmered with sympathy. "Really?" Crosskit asked, eyes wide. "Really." Leopardpaw stated with a slight smile. Crosskit brightened, and pelted towards her nest happily. "Come on!" She chirped, Leopardpaw at her tail. Once she crashed into her nest, she noticed a new scent inside the den. It was familiar, but not inside the nursery. She glanced around, her gaze catching on Creekfur. "Why are you in here?" Crosskit asked, settling down in her nest. Leopardpaw trotted in after her, padding to Crosskit's side.

"Well, I'm expecting Ripplepaw's kits." Creekfur beamed proudly. "That's awesome, more friends." Crosskit chirped enthusiastically, Leopardpaw now next to her. She could feel his warm fur brushing against hers, and glanced back to Leopardpaw. "Thanks for staying here to warm me up, it really helped." She smiled, fur flushing slightly. She didn't care though, and rested her head on her paws, falling into a lushes sleep, for once without the nightmares of her scar bothering her.
