The next couple of days, Soul had spent more time with Rizu than he had with Maka and She was steadily growing hateful to Rizu as a result of it. "Soul, when are you going to hang out with me instead of that girl?" Maka asked him one morning while they were eating their breakfast. "When are you going to trust me more?" He simply asked in response before finishing his orange juice and put his dishes in the sink. "Besides, I'm suppose to show her around the school today. She's joining the academy." He told her before walking to his room to get dressed. 'She's WHAT?!' Maka shouted in her head as she stared down at her plate.

Once they got to school, Soul walked up to Rizu who was looking around awkwardly. "Hey Rizu," He greeted. "Oh, hi Soul." She smiled. "Ready to start the tour?" He asked her. "Mind if I tag along?" Maka quickly asked. "Oh sure Maka." Rizu told her before Soul began leading her around the school. "This place is sooo big! I hope I don't get lost on my way to my classes." Rizu smiled as she looked around. "I'm pretty sure Lord Death's son designed the building." Soul shrugged as they kept walking.

"Hello Maka, hello Soul." Kid greeted them as he walked up, "And you must be the professor's daughter. Pleased to meet you, I am Death the Kid." He smiled as he suddly nodded his head to her. "It's nice to meet you, I'm Rizu stein." She smiled back. "Ah, that's Japanese for Liz isn't it?" He asked her. "Yes it is," She smiled to him. "One of my weapons name's Liz." He explained. "Huh, I guess it's a good thing mine's the Japanese version." Rizu laughed slightly. "Hey Kid, I was just giving Rizu a tour of the school and she was admiring the building." Soul told him. "Ahh yes, this school is perfectly symmetrical." Kid smiled as he thought about it. "Wow, that's so cool! I love things that are symmetrical." Rizu told him. "So does Kid, except he's not exactly symmetrical himself." Maka commented. "I know! I'm absolute garbage!" Kid cried before throwing himself to the ground in the fetile position. "Kid, I thought you were getting over this..." Soul said as he crouched beside the young shinigami, who continued to say he was garbage."Umm... Is he ok?" Rizu asked Soul cautiously. "He'll be fine, he's just having a little bit of an episode..." Soul explained. "How can I take over from my father if I'm garbage!" Kid continued to cry. "Hey Kid, why you on the floor?" A Short blonde girl asked. "Maka said he wasn't symmetrical..." Rizu whispered to the girl. "Ohhhhh, hahahahahaha! Hey sis! Kid is sad again!" The girl laughed as she looked over a taller blonde girl that was slowly walking up to them. "Aww man, Patty, why don't you talk to him. You know, that special way you do." She told Patty. "Okaaay!" Patty laughed before crouching beside Kid. "Get up before I kick your ass!" She threatened. "Patty! You're soo mean!" Kid cried as he slowly got up.

"Alright everyone, get to class..." Stein said lazily as him and Marie walked up to them. "Sweetheart, are you sure you want to go to school here? You don't have a weapon and it can get pretty dangerous here..." Marie said as she put her arm around Rizu's shoulders. "Mom, I'm sure! I wanna be an awesome miester like dad!" She smiled up at her mother. "Marie, she'll be fine." Stein smiled. "She has already made lots of friends, ones that will help her and protect her." He smiled more. "Alright," Marie sighed. "Come on Rizu, you're in my class this morning." Stein told her as the large group made their way to the class room. "See you all later," Marie smiled before walking towards her own classroom.

Once in the room, "Class, we have a very special new student joining our class today. Everyone, please meet Rizu, my daughter." There was an audible gasp of shock from the class as everyone turned from Stein to look at Rizu. "Now, she doesn't have a weapon yet. But I'm sure that'll change soon." He said before looking at his clipboard to take roll. "Hey Rizu, if you want I can help you train. I mean, I'm Maka's weapon, but I can still help you learn basics of being a miester." Soul offered. "Sure, Soul. I'd actually like that a lot." Rizu smiled at him. "Huh? Wait a minute Soul, you're my weapon. Not hers..." Maka whispered. "Maka, she needs someone to practice with, at least until she gets her own weapon." He quickly explained to her before looking down at his text book. "Are you mad at me or something?" Maka asked quietly. "Actually, yeah... I feel like you don't trust me. I feel like you've already decided I was gonna cheat on you." Soul said to her. "What? No! I know you wouldn't, but who's to say she won't try something?" Maka said desperatly. "And that feels like you don't trust me around her!" Soul glared. "...I'm sorry..." Maka said as tears welled in her eyes. "It's whatever. All I'm doing is helping her." Soul said before he leaned back in his chair and fell asleep.

After class Soul walked Rizu to her next class, "Soul... I feel like Maka hates me..." Rizu said sadly as they walked together. "Nah, she's just worried I'll be like her father." Soul commented. "Her father?" Rizu questioned. "Ahh, yeah... you know, your dad's former weapon, Spirit. He's Maka's father, and well... he cheated on Maka's mother. So now Maka doesn't trust guys." Soul told her. "That's horrible! But I don't think it's right for her to hate all guys for that..." She commented. "Yeah, thats exactly what I think too." Soul nodded. "Oh well, here's you next class... I'll see you at lunch." Soul smiled before walking away. "Bye, Soul." Rizu waved before going to class. The rest of the day Rizu couldn't help but let her mind wonder back to Soul. 'I can't possibly like Soul! He has a girlfriend. And I would never want to get in the middle of that... besides... I doubt he'd ever like me like that...' She sighed as she sketched in her notebook.
