For Mindless Guardian of the Avengers (Quotev)

"And here is your room!" Tony exclaimed happily as he finished the tour, waving his hand at the doorway of a rather large guest room. The largest guest room, presumably, since he loved to impress and he was your cousin.

You were just moving in with Tony at Stark Tower - you finally got away from your previous lodgings and Tony gladly took you in with open arms. You had spent a few days at your previous house, packing your things, and Tony insisted that you move in right away.

He had just finished giving you a tour of Stark Tower, the grand finale being your lightly furnished guest room. "Lightly furnished" here meant that a queen sized bed sat in the center of the room, adorned with a large feather comforter of your favorite color; a book/movie shelf to the right of the door, filled with your favorite books, magazines, movies, and TV shows; a recently polished dressed to the direct left of the doorway, standing a few feet away from the foot of the bed, empty and waiting to be filled with your belongings; and other miscellaneous knick-knacks and doo-dads placed on the nightstand or on the dressed, representing your favorite things.

You turned and smiled at Tony. "Thank you." Your cousin was more like your brother - you had grown up together, and you acted more like a brother and sister. Tony knew everything about you and always took care of you, and you were the only one that Tony would show weakness to.

"Anything for my little cuz (1)," Tony grinned. As you were about to open your bag, Tony grabbed your wrist gently to stop you. "You can unpack later. It's time to meet the Avengers!

Tony had told his fellow Avengers and SHIELD agents about your arrival, and though Fury was hesitant, they agreed that you would at least know about their adventures. Besides, there was no real point in trying to keep you out - you lived with Tony Stark, the worst secret secret-keeper any of them had ever known, and you'd probably see their shenanigans on TV, so it's not as if they could keep you completely in the dark.

Tony led you to the main entertainment/living room of the tower, the one that contained most of the electronic toys and had a snack kitchen a doorway away.

"Hey guys!" Tony greeted. "This is my cousin, Carrie." He looked at you with a grin. "Do you remember who everyone is?"

You smirked back. "Let me guess." You looked at Natasha, who raised a brow. "You're the only redhead, so you must be Natasha Romanoff."

Natasha gave you a respectful nod.

You looked at the brown-haired boy sitting next to her. "You're the closest one to Natasha, so you must be Clint Barton."

Clint smirked at you.

Your gaze found the short-haired blonde. "Your entire appearance screams 'proper.' You must be Steve Rogers."

Steve blushed and smiled, offering a polite "Hello."

You looked Bruce up and down. "You look like you could be the scientist. Bruce Banner?"

Bruce smiled and nodded.

Your eyes wandered to the largest man in the room, and the man with the longest hair. "You're definitely Thor."

Thor waved and gave you the biggest smile you had ever seen - you were fairly certain his face would split open.

"Do you remember the agents?" Tony questioned, still grinning.

You nibbled your lip, looking around. "Since there are only two agents, you must be Phil," Phil smiled and welcomed you to the team, "and you must be Maria." Maria smiled and was clearly glad to have another girl (who didn't have redheaded anger issues) on the team.

"And you," you concluded, turning towards Fury, "are Nick Fury."

"Director Fury," the big man corrected.

You shrugged. "Tony always calls you Nick. Or Pirate."

As Fury glared at Tony and a few others lauged, you took a seat on the couch beside Thor.

"So you're the Asgardian, huh?"

Thor smiled. "Yes, ma'am."

"What's that like?"

"Asgard? It is wonderful. It is very different from your world."

"How so?"

"We have much different technology." Thor gestured to Tony's completely packed entertainment system. "I have never seen any of those devices in my life."

You giggled. "Tony has gadgets that even a lot of humans have never seen."

Thor continued to smile. "Asgard is very... gold. There is a lot of gold."

You giggled again. "I like gold."

"Then you would like Asgard."

Tony walked over to the two of you and smirked. "Are you trying to steal my baby cousin, Meatswing?"

Thor looked confused. "I would never steal someone, Man of Iron."

You shot Tony a look. "Calm down, big bro. I can handle myself."

Thor turned his confusion to you. "'Bro?'"

You simply laughed.

Tony had opted for a party - of course. He found any excuse to throw a party. He decided throw you a "Welcome to Stark Tower" party.

The gang was still gathered in Tony's large entertainment living room several hours later. Tony had instructed JARVIS to cook several rounds of popcorn while Tony himself concocted several alcoholic beverages that almost no one wanted to test.

After a lot of music, dancing, booze, and half-naked girls (who you sent home around four a.m. because you didn't want Tony to do something stupid), you and the gang got comfortable on various pieces of furniture and got ready to watch a movie. You sat curled up beside Thor on the large leather couch. The movie had yet to be determined.

"Sherlock Holmes!" Tony suggested.

"You only want that because Sherlock looks like you," you countered. Tony grinned.

"Bourne!" Clint smirked. "The main guy looks like me!"

"The Hobbit!" you cheered.

"I second that," Bruce smiled.

"Is that the one with the..." Steve paused, looking uncomfortable, "dwarves?"

You giggled. "That's their official species. It's okay to call them that."

Thor's brows furrowed together. "Dwarves? What dwarves?"

Tony sighed in defeat. "The Hobbit, it is!"

You wiggled excitedly, subconsciously cuddling closer to Thor. Man, that guy was a furnace! About halfway through the movie, Thor had wrapped his arm around your shoulders, and your head was resting on his chest. The others kept glancing at the two of you (mostly Tony), smiling or "aww"ing before turning their attention back to the movie. You quoted your favorite scenes, mumbling the lines as the characters said them. Thor continued to smile at you, finding your love and knowledge of the movie to be particularly adorable. (2)

You stayed up for the whole movie, and by the time the credits rolled, only you and Thor were left awake.

"Do you wish to sleep?" Thor asked you quietly (well, as quiet as Thor could be, being Thor and all). You shook your head.

"I'm not really tired yet."

"Perhaps we could talk?"

You looked at the blonde and smiled. "Sure." You looked around at the sleeping bodies. "We should probably go to another room, though. I don't want to wake them."

Thor nodded and stood, offering you a hand. You smiled and accepted, and let the big man guide you around the people strewn about on the floor. The two of you made your way to the hall and decided where to go from there.

"My chambers are the furthest away from this one," Thor stated. "We would not awaken anyone up there."

You blushed at the thought of being alone with Thor in his room, but nodded anyway. He smiled and led you to the elevator, instructing JARVIS to take you to his room. Once there, he led you inside and sat on the bed, patting the space beside him, hoping you would join him. You smiled and sat beside the blonde.

"So why did you move in with the Man of Iron?" he asked.

You laughed at your cousin's nickname. "I just got tired of where I was living. It didn't feel like home." (3)

"And does this place feel like home?"

You paused. "I'm not sure yet. I do love being with Tony, though. We've always been close." And it could become home if you stay here... You smiled up at the blonde, keeping your thought to yourself.

The two of you talked until dawn, finding out that you shared a lot of interests. You both cared deeply for your families - Thor for Loki, and you for Tony. You decided that Loki and Tony were similar in a lot of ways as well, including the fact that neither of them would ever admit to such a claim.

You looked out Thor's window and your eyes widened. "It's daylight."

Thor glanced over and chuckled. "So it is. We stayed up all night."

"I really enjoyed it," you smiled.

"As did I," Thor smiled back. He paused, grabbing your seemingly tiny hands in his large ones. "Carrie... I must confess something."

"What is it?" you asked, tilting your head in confusion. You ignored the butterflies fluttering around in your stomach and the heat rushing to your face.

"I know that we have not known each other for very long, but I feel very attracted to you. I want to stay with you. I do not wish to be anywhere else than with you."

You stared at the blonde, unable to find words.

Said blonde then worried. "I apologize if I have made you uncomfortable." He let go of your hands. "I just thought that you should know."

You shook your head, reaching out to grab his large hands once more. "I'm attracted to you, too, Thor. I want to stay with you."

Thor grinned. "Wonderful!" He moved one hand to your face, cupping it gently. You subconsciously leaned into his touch. You nearly closed your eyes as he moved closer. His nose brushed against yours, his forehead resting against yours, his breath ghosting over your lips. You closed your eyes and tried to level your own breathing. His warm lips pressed against yours and you lost all coherent thought. You breathed a happy sigh and pressed back against him. His free hand moved to rest on your waist while your own arms wrapped around his neck, trying to pull him closer. He complied, wrapping both arms around your waist and pulling you into his lap. You let one hand tangle in his hair and he gently tugged on your bottom lip with his teeth.

You broke apart for air, your foreheads pressing together, heavy breaths falling over each other's faces. You blushed and smiled at the blonde, who smiled back at you.

"Will you be my maiden?" he asked quietly.

You giggled. "Your maiden? Is that the Asgardian term for 'girlfriend'?"

Thor smiled. "Is that a yes?"

You kissed him again, resting a hand on his face. "Yes."

(1) I'm not sure if it should be "cuz" or "cous" as a slang for "cousin"...

(2) Sorry if The Hobbit wouldn't have been your choice. I was watching it when I wrote this.

(3) I'm trying to be as vague as I can since you didn't say where you were living or who with before moving in with Tony.
