Hey guys!
First of all, I sorry that I took too long on this one! I'm at the end of college and have a lot of tests to take! Also, I kind of have a writes block... I have all those great ideas for new chapters but I don't know how to finish any of them... :C
But don't worry! I'm already working at the next 2 chapters, so I think I won't take too long!
Now, thank you guys for the reviews! You are the ones that makes me keep on going! :)
And now the story ;D
Chapter 7
Nihren was walking around Whiterun, trying to sell all the loot from her last adventure, and so far, she hadn't been very successfully. She had already taken all the gold from most of the merchants but she still had a full bag, and if she didn't get rid of all that, she would have trouble back home. Farkas had been very insistent at telling her not to pick every " junk", as he called it, that she found, but she had guaranteed him she could sell all that, and so, now she had to.
She signed. There were only two options left, or she gave her precious loot as a present to others, or she went to Belethor.
After Nihren had turned down Belethor's offer so she could stay with Farkas, her relationship with him had become quite awkward. The way he looked at her made her feel uncomfortable, and the things he says always made her think they had other meanings. Besides that, there was all the gossip people would start, not even caring if it was true or not. And the last thing she wanted was to taint her's or her husband's honor because of false rumors.
She walked back to the market, looking around carefully, trying to see if the worst of the city gossipers were somewhere close. Seeing none, she walked inside the shop quickly.
Belethor looked up from the book he was reading and gave her one of his smiles that she didn't know how to take.
" Good evening, Nihren. What do I own the pleasure of your visit?"
"Came to sell somethings." she said courtly, moving closer to where he was. She put on top of the counter her bag and started to remove some of the things she wanted to sell, and Belethor started to go through those items while she looked around the shop for anything interesting.
As soon she turned her back to him, she could feel his eyes on her body. She immediately cursed herself for her clothes. She was wearing a simple dress, but she had picked specifically to lure Farkas' eyes earlier, and she knew what that dress did to her curves.
She signed, keeping her back turned to him, and resumed her search for anything worth. Picking up some pelts she turned back to him, catching his lustful eyes on the lower part of her body, and the bastard didn't even tried to hide it. She glared at him, but moved forward, so she could finish her business as soon as possible. She throwed the pelts in the counter and waited for him, crossing her arms in front of her chest.
The breton smirked but didn't say anything. He looked some of the items, picking those he thought were worth it. When he finished, he set the thighs he wanted to the side and they began discussing the price. The bastard made sure to make their discussion as long as possible, and by the end, as she was leaving the store, she heard him say, in the most disgusting voice, " Do come back..."
Nihren didn't turned, she didn't even answered. Suppressing a disgusted shivers, she left the store. That man could make her feel dirty with only his eyes.
She quickly went back to Jovaskr, finding the others Companions sitting in the hall, drinking and talking happily. Without even stopping, she went down stairs to her and Farkas' room, and as soon she closed the door she let the shiver go through her body.
Disgusting.
She signed again, and started to change her clothes for something more comfortable and less showing of her body. As soon she was finished she sat down on the bed to comb her hair. She was finishing tying it up when Farkas entered.
" Are you alright?"
She should have known he would notice something was wrong, he always did.
Nihren didn't know if she should to tell him. There was a chance that he wouldn't do anything, but there was always the chance that the beast inside him, and the men per se, wouldn't like it and he could end up doing something stupid. She couldn't lie, knowing him, and his wolf, the second option probably was the one going to happen, but she had to tell.
She got up and got closer to him, wrapping her arms around his bigger body. His own arms went around her without hesitation, and he pulled her close. She always felt secure in his arms.
" What is it, love?"
"Today I went to Belethor's shop" she said buring her face in his chest. "And he makes me feel ... disgusted"
She had told him once about what Belethor had said, but he never thought it bothered her so much. But now, seeing her that disturbed, it made him think twice about the man and his reputation around the city.
Farkas had to give it to him, he had some courage. Once, when they were both younger, they had had gotten into a fight, and Farkas was the one leaving victorious. Back then, they had been the same height, and now Farkas was at least two head taller than the breton and many inches larger too. Besides that, Farkas was a Companion and a wolf too ( not that anyone knew tha) and that should make his woman untouchable for other men.
Nihren looked up, trying to predict his reaction, but he wasn't giving anything away. She bit her lower lip and asked " Are you mad?"
He let out a huff, pulling away from her a little and looking away, as if he could see the other man. "He should know better than messing with you..."
Oh he is mad... " Look, I don't think he meant anything... maybe it's only in my head..." Dammit, I shouldn't have said anything...
They pulled away, and Farkas let the matter drop, quickly changing the topic to the latest companion's story.
-
The main room of the Bannered Mare was full that night.
It was already deep in the night when he arrived the inn. A wall of sounds an smell welcomed him when he opened the door. He moved throu the room, dodging the dunk and the people dancing. Farkas walked in, taking in the sound and smells of the room. No one turned to his side, all too drunk to notice him.
He stayed in the corner of the room, watching and searching for his prey, keeping a low profile. He found him at the side, on a table full of empty tankards and a few women keeping him company.
Farkas got near, with one look he cleared a nearby table and sat down. Reclining in his chair in order to hear what the merchant was saying.
" Ha! My darling, whatever you want I can give you! Just say the word and I will get it for you!"
Farkas hold back a snort. There was a reason the city guards liked to refer to his as " sleazy little man". Never in his life Belethor had gone outside the city walls to get anything for anyone. Even most of the things he sells at his shop were gotten from adventures or the Khajiit caravans.
The night went on, and the more Belethor drank, more lies were told. He would grope and flirt with the women around him, bragging about his shop and money. And that only made Farkas angrier.
-
Eventually, people started to go home. Belethor had to admit he had drank a little too much, but he wouldn't complain, after all his house was just across the market, the only difficulty he would meet would be the stairs from the inn.
Happily, he gave bye to Hulda and went outside. The cold wind hit his face, making him cringe, only nords would dare to say the weather was pleasantly.
Of course, I wouldn't mind the weather if I could have one of those bodies to warm my bed... He though, imagining one of the many nords women of the city in his bed.
He didn't want to get married, but it seemed that would be the only way to get one of them to his bed. Nihren had been his latest investment, the woman had a great body, with wide hips and slim waist that drives him crazy, but she had preferred that meat head instead of him, and now he was left with no other option.
He crossed the empty market, going for his house. Oh, what he wouldn't give for just one night with Nihren. He would show her that he was much better than Farkas, and after that, she wouldn't lose time to bend herself for him. A smile played at his lips ate the image of the great dragonborn, laying on his counter, begging him to take her.
He picked his key, and was going to open the door when he noticed a large form in the shadows beside his door. Before he could do anything, the shadow moved forward, taking the shape of Farkas, and slammed him against the wall.
Farkas took hold of the front of his clothes and pushed him up, so they could be at the same eye level. Unfortunately, that meant that Belethors' feet didn't reach the floor.
Belethor had never seem Farkas that threatening, and at that moment he understood why so many citizens of Whiterun feared him. His eyes were glowing with anger and he was snarling, showing his teeth.
" Hello Belethor " Farkas growled, and Belethor felt a shiver run through his body.
"Wha-what do you want with me?!"
Belethor was trying to put up a front, but he knew it was useless. Farkas was a warrior, a fearless companion, there was no way he would be intimidated by a drunk merchant. He watched as smile appeared on Farkas face, making him strangely look like a wolf. He also knew Belethor was no threat to him.
" You know very well what I want... I want you to stop saying disrespectful things to my wife. I want you to stop looking at her, or even imagining things about her. And if I ever even suspect you are being rude to her, you will discover why the Companions are so feared around Skyrim." Farkas snarled in a low voice, hitting him against the wall at the end to prove his point.
Belethor's mouth moved, his brain working as fast as it could to make a excuse, to find him a way out, but fear had made his mind go bank.
" Did you understand?!" Farkas growled, inching his face closer, not giving him another way out.
Dammit, where were the guards when we need them?!
He chocked, trying to make his mouth and brain work together, but eventually he answered " y-yes! I got it!"
"Good!" Farkas let go of him, and Belethor fell to the ground, his legs were shaking too much to hold him up.
" Good night Belethor. It was great doing business with you!"
And with that, Farkas turned away, going back at Jorvask without even looking back.
Farkas opened the door and entered the room silently. Giving Nihren's back a quick look to make sure she was still sleeping, he undressed and laid down at the bed, pulling her to his chest.
" I hope you didn't scare him much."
He jumped at the sound of his wife voice. She turned in his arms so she could look at his face, and leaned close, taking a sniff at him.
" Uhm, he left quite the smell on you... Did he peed on himself?"
At that Farkas chuckled, " No, but he sure was close to it." He smiled, and pulled her even closer, nuzzling her hair.
Nihren snorted, she couldn't get mad at him and he knew that.
" Well, I just hope he didn't get too scared... Hey, do you think you can make him pay me extra?"
