Hello! Sooo, once again I disappeared and came back! Yey! I'm sorry about that… Well, I have a good news! This will be the last chapter of this fanfiction. I finally reached the happy ending I wanted for those two, and, although I wanted to write more and more about them, I don't think it would fit in the time line here, so I might end up writing some one-shots that fill in here. So, thank you all for the patience, all the amazing reviews and love. You guys are great! I hope this pleases you :D

Chapter 20

Farkas had never felt so at peace before in his life. Even though the world seemed to be coming to an end outside in the biggest storm he had ever seen, all that matters to him was the small warm room he was into.

There was a loud thunder and the small bundle of cloth on his arms moved, and he immediately started to swing it lightly, saying calming words in a low voice. He couldn't risk anything waking up Nihren now, the poor woman was exhausted and she deserved her rest. It was probably the first time in 5 months that she slept comfortably. Letting out a low chuckle, he looked down to his arms, moving quietly the cloth so he could look at his son's face.

For now, Farkas could say that the boy had taken only his size after him, and that all else was Nihren. He could see her on the trace of his brown, his nose and his oh-so-small ears. His cheeks were round, soft and pink, just like velvet, and his small mouth was always in a pout, as if always read y to attach itself to his mother's breast. Heh, that's my boy.

Another loud thunder made the roof shake, and the boy's peaceful face changed to a frown. Immediately he made the world know of his disapproval by screaming as loud as possible. Well, at least we knows he have good lungs. Farkas sighed at the broken peace, seeing his wife jumping on the bed and leaving the protection of the furs that covered her.

"where -?"

"calm down, I have him."

Looking over to him, Nihren tried to sit up, but winced at the movement and pushed herself up just enough so she could lean against the headboard of the bed. Moving carefully, Farkas went closer to her, sitting beside her and giving her their precious bundle.

At the sight of her holding their son on her arms, he felt his heart swell at his chest. They were finally a full family. After all the pain, the war, dragons and gods knows how many enemies, they were finally able to settle down and build a family as they always wanted. Leaning forward, he pressed a kiss to Nihren's forehead, and then his son's, thanking her for giving him this, and thanking the gods for letting his son to be here.

Quietly, he watched as Nihren calmed down the furious boy on her arms in mere seconds. The warm of her body, and her smell, already known by their son, giving him a sense of protection, of safeness. Of home.

She looked up at him and motioned to his side of the bed, inviting him to lay down with her. Nodding, he got up, removing his shirt and boots and laid down on the warm bed. Carefully, he took the sleeping boy from her arms, putting him to the middle of the bed to sleep, while Nihren carefully slip down again. She turned to him, looking to his eyes over the sleeping form of their son and mouthed words he knew well and weren't enough to express the strong feeling that had took hold of his chest in the moment she had told him she was carrying his son.

I love you.

A big smile broke Farkas' always serious face. They had a family now, and he couldn't be happier.
