472 Dannys POV
I groaned when I woke up in the morning, not wanting to wake up with a grumpy Tom, because Tom always woke up grumpy after crying the night before. And seeing as he had been crying a lot yesterday, he was going to be in a terrible mood. Oh well, might as well have a hug with him before he woke up, so I wriggled closer, going in for a cuddle. "ugh, Danny, what are you doing?" someone mumbled, pushing on me. "cause I wanna cuddle Tom." I smiled, cuddling closer. "I'm not Tom! I'm Dougie, go away, your breath smells!" Dougie whined, pushing me away. "so wheres Tom then?" I sat up, realising that Tom couldn't have been in bed, he had been between me and Dougie, and if I could cuddle Dougie...he couldn't be in here too.
"I don't know, he might be with Carrie downstairs." Dougie mumbled, seemingly not really bothered about this. "yeah, I heard her moving around earlier, he's probably with her." Harry added, wriggling closer to Dougie, holding him as close as he could, tangling his hands in his blonde hair. "fine, I'll have a look." I clambered out of bed, wandering down the corridor to Carries room, hoping Tom was there. "Tom? You in there?" I knocked on the door, opening it slowly, in case it was just Carrie in there. The only sign of someone being in the room was a lump of tangled duvet on the bed, straight blonde hair just sticking out it, that was clearly Toms. I smiled, crawling onto the bed, getting in under the covers, wrapping my arms around Toms sleeping form. Right now, I didn't really mind he had gotten out of our bed and gone to Carrie without telling me, I guessed after scaring him with the biting thing, he hadn't really wanted to spend the night with us, even though he had said he had. At least he didn't end up out of the house somewhere on his own, or on the floor again. That was all that mattered really.
"morning, I see you found him then?" Carrie made me jump. "yeah. What time did he get here then?" I asked, sitting up again, smiling to myself as Tom cuddled up to my leg in sleep. "around one in the morning I think. He was in the corridor, looking like he was about to have a panic attack, talking about the monsters in the dark and being trapped or something." Carrie made me feel really guilty. "ah, that would have been us." I sighed, remembering our biting and how it scared him. "how so?" Carrie asked, so I explained what happened, a look of realisation covering her face. "oh, that explains a lot. Ah well, wanna take him back to bed?" she nodded her head towards her brother, who shuffled a little closer, my leg now being used as a pillow.
"no, I think its best to leave him, before we confuse him when he wakes up." I shook my head, stroking Toms hair. "good point. Shouldn't be too long before Tom wakes up I don't think. He can't sleep for more than 10 hours usually, and its been 9 so far." Carrie smiled, and as if she was psychic, Tom started to shuffle and making little cute whimpering noises. They weren't like the distressed ones from yesterday, these were the 'I'm waking up and don't want to' whimpers, that made my heart melt. "aw, morning Tommy." I whispered as Tom yawned, his head dropping onto my leg again, clearly the signal for 'I'm not waking up yet'.
"no. Tired!" Tom whined, confirming my thoughts. "aw okay, go back to sleep then...wait, lets get you back to our bed first, so we can leave Carrie in peace instead of taking up her bed." I carefully managed to get out of bed and pick Tom up, like you would do with a child who had had a nightmare. "no! Don't want to go there!" Tom whimpered, writhing to look at me, looking so scared. "why not Tom? Whats wrong with our room? Its not dark anymore, there isn't any monsters anymore." I hoped to god that Tom wasn't developing a fear of our room, it would make living here hell if I couldn't get him to go to bed.
"don't want to go in there! Too trapped!" Tom shook his head wildly, eyes wide and full of fear. "alright, alright, we'll go somewhere else. We'll go downstairs then, is that less trapped for you?" I suggested, Tom nodded and relaxed a little. "downstairs it is then." I sighed, hoping that by 'trapped' Tom meant that there were too many people in bed.
473 Harrys POV
"we should probably go and find out if Danny has found Tom." I mumbled, bringing Dougie close, feeling so tired that I couldn't be asked to get up. "if he hadn't found him, we would have been told by now." Dougie reasoned, his voice muffled by my chest, where his head was pressed. "good point." I shrugged, tangling my hands in Dougies long hair. "exactly, now shhh." Dougie wriggled so he had his back to my chest, holding onto my arms, keeping them around his tiny waist. But I couldn't relax again, I could only think about why Tom had decided to get out of bed, I couldn't come up with any ideas over why he would get out of bed. Unless it was because he had been scared after we had bitten him. But, he wouldn't have gotten out of bed because of that would he?
"Harry, I can hear you thinking, shhh." Dougie giggled slightly, turning his head to awkwardly look at me. "sorry, I can't help it. I want to make sure Toms okay and that he did actually sleep last night." I sighed, stroking Dougies hip gently. "same really... fine, we'll get up and see them." Dougie sat up and crawled out of bed, stumbling downstairs. I followed him and found Tom and Danny sitting in the kitchen. Danny was sat on his chair, eating breakfast around Toms body, who was leaning on the freckled brunette, hugging his shoulders and leaning into his neck, practically hiding there. "morning guys. I found him." Danny mumbled around a mouthful of cereal, rubbing Toms back gently. "is he okay?" I asked, "we didn't freak him out too much, did we?" Dougie joined in.
"no, we didn't. I think that maybe next time we should sleep in a bigger bed, because we kinda made Tom feel like we were trapping him in." Danny explained, hugging Toms body close, though the blonde made no movement. "ah, that would explain why he got out of bed. Whats up with him at the moment?" I went over to the boys, a bit worried over Toms lack of moment. "sleeping. I gave him his stuff to calm him down and we started cuddling, and yeah, I got a sleepy Tommy." Danny sighed, kissing Toms shoulder gently, almost unconsciously. "ah well, at least he's calm and safe." I smiled encouragingly. "yeah, I guess... I better take Tom somewhere else thats comfier than the kitchen." Danny got up, carefully picking Tom up, managing to not jog him much.
"well, outside is nice. Maybe going out there will help give him a bit of colour, after a while in the sun." I suggested, noting just how pale Tom looked next to Dannys black tshirt. "hmm, thats a good idea. The fresh air could do him good." Danny agreed, taking Tom outside, managing to keep the sleeping boy asleep. Carefully he managed to lay Tom on top of him, the blondes back to his chest, resting his head against his freckle covered neck. In the distance, the phone rang inside the house, Carries shout of 'I'll get it' floated out the door, so I took it as a queue to sit down on a chair and pull Dougie down too, sitting him on my lap.
"guys, we have a problem." Carrie came out a few minutes later, holding the phone, looking panicked. "what?" Danny asked, his arms tightening around Toms waist, like he knew it was about him. "its the hospital, they want to give Tom a check up, because we took him home early." Carrie explained, we all tensed.
