"Kits! How could she be having kits!" Shinningflower yelped.
Nightpaw shook his head. "I don't know, but we need to find out how this happened."
Blackpaw lay on a nest , her belly heaving in horror and in pain. How could she be having kits! She didn't even know who the father was, so how could this be? If only her father hadn't gone on a patrol for the entire day with Goldenstar and Cloudfang. She wanted to be with him so badly right now...
Spiderpaw rushed in and came to her side. "I heard what happened. It's going to be alright, I'm here with you." His words calmed her, and she finally relaxed and fell alseep.
"Blackpaw is going to have kits, Silvercloud," A voice came from the other side of the bushes that lay in front of Blackpaw.
Blackpaw pushed her head slightly through the bushes. She was an old silver tabby she-cat sitting in the middle of a clearing in front of an old ragged blue-gray she-cat. The silver tabby she-cat flicked her tail.
"This is wrong, very wrong," She said in a soft voice. "Who is the father of these kits?"
Blackpaw tried to move forward to see a little better, and in the process broke a twig under her twisted paw. She winced, then tried to back away. Another twig broke under her left hindpaw. She winced again and stopped moving, ears pricking to see if the old cats heard.
"Blackpaw, come out of the bushes please," The blue cat said. "We know you're there."
Blackpaw slowly entered the clearing and sat at the edge near the bushes. "Who is the father of these kits," She asked in a worried voice, afraid of who it might be.
The blue cat stood up and walked over to the black apprentice and put her tail on her shoulder blade. "Young Blackpaw, I had wished that I would not have been the one to tell you this, but, I guess I must." She compressed a shaky sigh. "The father is... Spiderpaw."
Sorry for such a short ending, but I wanted to leave it like it is. I almost wanted to drop this chapter because of all my homework, but I finally did it. The next chapter will hopefully be done by new years. If not, I am very sorry.
