For all you writers out there, who might be suffering from idea-block, here are a whole bunch of challenges regarding Twilight stories. I have too many to write myself and have decided to lend you all some help, should you need it. There's everything from Slash, to unconventional pairings, from time travel to odd villains. 4. Emerald Valley

Emerald Valley

Pairing: James/Kim.
Setting: New Moon.
Complication: Alternate Dimension.
Villain(s): Amazon Coven.

Kim is going to school on the reservation, secretly crushing on Jared, and not having much of a life. She has a few friends, is somewhat obsessed with the tribe's Legends and unaware that they are real; most of them, anyway. Then, one day, in the beginning of 2006, she should somehow stumble across a portal of some kind; a way into another dimension. The world is the one she grew up in, just different thanks to one small detail.

Whatever this detail is, however the dimension is different, is up to the author, except for one, very obvious thing; James has to still be alive and a Vampire. He's the same guy as in Twilight, don't make it easier by suddenly making him human, or a vegetarian, or even nice; he's still him. Evil beings can still fall in love and redeem themselves, after all. (Spike, anyone?)

Anyway, while Kim is trying to find her way around this new strange, world, in which she is not the imprint of Jared Cameron btw, she comes across either James first, the Amazon villains, or something third. But she should soon be introduced into the world she only heard of in the Legends growing up. What transpires from there on is all the author's choice; why the three Amazon women are suddenly bad guys, what the Volturi's role in all this is, how James and Kim fall in love, where Victoria is and what part the Cullens may or may not play in all of this.
