Brush Blossom
Pairing: Charlie Swan/OC.
Setting: Twilight.
Complication: Triangle.
Villain(s): Tanya.
While his daughter is falling in love with a Vampire, with all of the drama that comes with it, Charlie is going through something close to the same thing; falling in love. Her name is Elea Pope (or whatever you want) and she is up to the authors choice; job, personality, background, how they meet, how they fall and so on. However, the drama is far from over. While Bella is being hunted by James, Elea isn't there, for some reason, to help Charlie deal with the parting words from his daughter, when she ran out that night. Instead, he has a run in with the superhumanly beautiful Tanya, of the Denali coven.
Now, Charlie is dealing with the same thing that Bella will soon have to deal with; a love triangle. Developing feelings for the Russian native, he now has to make a very difficult choice; Elea or Tanya. Whether or not he knows that he's choosing between a human and a Vampire, or not, is up to the future author. The fact that the story says it's set in Twilight, doesn't mean it has to end there, too. You can move it through all four books, if you will, letting this storyline perhaps even change what happens to Bella and the others, too.
Thanks to the pairing, Charlie is obviously going to pick Elea in the end, but whether or not they become Vampires or stay human is also up to you. Hell, you could even make Elea a Child of the Moon or a shapeshifter, your choice. There should just be some definite drama and angst, with Charlie having to choose between two, wonderful, beautiful and loving women, whom he both loves.
Everything surrounding this storyline is up to you.
I hope you take it and run with it :)
