Alice: I lied. I'm sorry!

Emily: This is the last chapter. I took out some things in the original part of this chapter and realized it was too short, so I combined them.

Alice: So last chapter! Wow, it feels so strange.

Emily: Thank you all for reading and enjoying this story. It means so much to me.

Alice: The poll for which story to put up next will be open for two more days. It's Friday today, so it will close on Sunday night.

Emily: Remember to vote for the next story.

Alice: Without further ado, the next chapter.

Therapeutic Weekend

Part 2

Logan hated thinking he was going to a shrink to help him with his problems, but Kendall put up those damn eyes that clearly stated "you had two mental breakdowns, so you aren't getting out of this one even if you begged". James and Carlos insisted on going with him (Kendall going was almost a given at this point). So that's how he found himself and his three best friends in a waiting room for a therapist: Doctor Sue. Mama Knight persuaded them into arriving early just in case. The four boys had yet to speak as they waited, alone in that room. "So do you want us to come in with you or do you want to go alone?" Carlos broke the silence effortlessly. "Because we'll go in with you if you want us there."

Logan paused. He didn't think making them wait outside while he poured out his heart to some stranger. He just figured they would go in with him. "I guess if you guys want to."

"Okay," Kendall beamed, practically forcing an identical smile on Logan's face. He's always had that effect on him. Suddenly a tall woman gracefully walked out to the waiting room in tall heels. With blonde hair and a professional smile, her eyes landed on each member of Big Time Rush. Without using words, she gestured them to come in, probably guessing they would stick together. The boys followed her into an office where a big couch faced a comfy looking chair.

"Sit," her voice was pleasant. The boys obeyed her command and sat down with Logan in the middle and Kendall sitting right next to him. She smiled brightly at all of them. "Hello boys. Which one of you is Logan?"

"Hi," Logan replied shyly with a small wave. So she wasn't a fan or a parent of one. That would make things easier.

"I'm Dr. Sue," she reached out her own hand, shaking his. "I'll be helping you out for a few weeks. Kelly called me and informed me about the details of what you've been through. You don't have to talk about it right away if you don't want to, but it might be easier if you do. I'm sure you already realize you have the support of everyone you love."

Except his parents, Carlos thought silently. Judging by the expressions on James and Kendall, the question of where Logan's parents were definitely crossed their minds. Logan just looked neutral towards it, as though he didn't need them. As though he never thought about informing them of what happened. "I do," Logan nodded, quickly stealing a look at Kendall. Sue noticed but said nothing about it.

"Would you like to talk about it or start out with something simple?"

"I came here to talk about it," Logan answered. "Alex was my ex-boyfriend in a way. I never wanted to be with him, but I was scared of him and what he could do, so I went along with it. After we broke up, I thought I could handle the stress on my own, but I ended up taking it out on my friends and even a stranger.

"A stranger?" Carlos interrupted with James appearing just as shocked.

"Remember that girl Sarah?" Kendall reminded them. "From the video on YouTube? They met up and apparently didn't get along."

That made sense to the two boys. The comments, whether from online or friends, on that particular video and that girl were all about how Kendall should date her. No wonder Logan took an instant dislike towards her. "Anyway," Logan went back on topic. "It just feels like half the time I'm angry and the other half I'm depressed. And when they started mixing, I just lash out on everything and everyone. I want to learn how to control that."

"No, Logan." Sue shook her head. "You're here to learn how to get rid of those emotions. Yes, you're going to have to cope with them because they won't instantly go away. But with work and progress, you won't feel like this anymore."

"I won't?"

"That's what we're here for," Sue smiled. "But you're going to need help. That help can be in the form of your friends, family, or me. Just don't be afraid to ask for it."

Kendall smiled at the utter relief on Logan's expression. He must have thought that all of that anger and resentment would always be in him. As Sue continued to talk to Logan, Kendall felt a hand grasp his own. Looking down, his heart pounded when he saw it was Logan's. It would take a while for them to go back to the way things were, but this was a start.

Gustavo continuously called Jenifer, asking if the boys returned and how they handled the therapy. She tried to tell him they haven't returned yet, but she only received another call fifteen minutes later. Kelly texted her, apologizing on his behalf and saying Gustavo was only nervous. Especially since Big Time Rush rehearsals were going to start up soon. Now that the bruises were mostly gone and Logan's mental health was progressing, Big Time Rush could start singing and dancing again. But Gustavo, and Kelly, were both very cautious and wanted to be completely sure that Logan could handle it.

"They need to stop calling," Katie grumbled. "It's really annoying."

"Then get out of the apartment if you don't want to hear it," Mama Knight argued teasingly only to receive yet another call. Katie groaned and hopped off her chair. She signaled to the door, implying she was going out, and Jenifer nodded, answering the phone. Katie smirked as she walked down the hallway. The boys would be arriving home soon, and she wanted to wait for them when they came back.

"Katie!" Lucy called out when she entered the lobby. "Want to sit with us?"

Lucy, Jo, and Camille all sat on the tiny couch smiling at her. They must be waiting for the boys too, Katie thought to herself. Shrugging, she jogged over to them and sat between Jo and Camille. "They need to get back soon," Lucy replied with a pout. "I'm worried about those guys."

"You're telling me!" Camille exclaimed with a smile.

"Be patient," Jo lectured. "Whining about them won't make them get here faster."

"You sure?" Katie snickered. The girls' head whipped to the front entrance where Big Time Rush walked in, laughing and looking happier than ever. The girls rushed over to them, all asking questions at once. Katie's eyes met with Kendall's bright green ones. A look between the siblings passed on, and Katie grinned. The therapy session must have gone really well.

"Hey guys?" Logan interrupted all of their questions. The teen girls went silent, all prepared to listen. "I never said thank you for forcing me to tell the guys about Alex so… thanks."

"You're welcome!" Camille beamed, flinging her arms around her friend. Jo and Lucy gave him softer hugs and smiled at him gratefully. "How about we all head out to the pool? Just laze around and get some tans, right James?"

The boys all looked at Logan to see if he wanted to. At his smile, they all grinned and headed out to the pool. Katie asked Carlos about the session, and he replied with vague, but good enough, answers. Kendall lingered behind, keeping an eye out on Logan. James and Carlos sat on a chair, eagerly talking with the girls as Katie went to play poker with the Palm Woods employees. "You okay?" Kendall asked Logan once their friends were distracted enough.

"I am actually," Logan smiled. "I know it's not going to be easy, and I know I'm going to have a lot more breakdowns, but I'm hopeful for once. Things will actually get better."

"So you're not mad at me for making you go to see Dr. Sue?" Kendall teased.

Logan smirked. "Eh… I'll get my revenge later for that."

"Logie!" Kendall mock gasped. Both boys laughed, relaxing at the pool side. There was silence between them but the air was filled with the happy chatter of the people around them.

"I still love you," Logan admitted with a blush.

"I still love you too," Kendall smiled softly. "Always will."

"But it's too soon?" Logan guessed, thinking about the past couple of weeks in greater detail. Yes, it was too soon to be in a committed, healthy relationship again. Too soon to think about love and Kendall. Right now he needed to focus on himself and furthering his stability. Judging by the smile Kendall gave him, he was thinking the same thing. "Can we still sleep together at night?"

"Course," Kendall beamed.

Smiling back, Logan pressed his lips against Kendall's cheek before joining the others in their silly games and antics. His mind wandered to the future, to when he could be with Kendall again. They would probably start afresh, going all the way back to nervous first dates and small kisses. It would develop into something more, into something deeper than what they had before. Alex may have affected his mind temporarily but, like the bruises, that would all become a distant memory.

And, coincidentally, Kendall was thinking the same thing.
