532 Dougies POV

Tom and Danny spent another month in the house, basically refusing to go anywhere, just wanting to cuddle up on the sofa. "guys, I think we should take a day trip out, neither of you have left the house in weeks." Harry sighed, sitting on the arm of the sofa. "what? No way, we're not going anywhere! We're not leaving the house!" Danny shook his head straight away, stroking Toms hair gently as the little one slept once again, all tired out from...something. "Danny, come on, when was the last time Tom left the house? He's going to get restless soon." Harry asked. "yesterday. We went out yesterday to the garden. You know that, you were with us." Danny answered, still stroking Toms hair, like it would keep him asleep.

"Danny, that doesn't count. I mean, like we actually went outside, outside of the house boarders, that wasn't any of our houses or a hospital?" Harry stumped Danny completely, he had to take a few minutes to think of something. "we went out for our last performance." Danny mumbled, knowing he didn't have a leg to stand on. "and that was about 4 months ago now. Danny, come on, it will keep him happy, we want to give him a few good days out before he goes, right?" Harry used the most convincing voice I had ever heard. "yeah, but... we can't take him out, can we? We can't take Tommy outside, he could run off and get lost. Or get scared, we haven't had him in a large crowd in months, we don't know what could happen." Danny tightened his grip on Tom, he whimpered a little in sleep, earning a kiss to his head.

"it wont be too bad, I'm sure. As long as we keep hold of Tom and go somewhere thats still quiet and not very crowded, we'll be fine." I smiled a little, trying to seem reassuring. "but where could we go? And what would we do? We can't do much, cause its Tom, and he doesn't understand things. And not much can hold his attention, and all he mostly wants to do is cuddle and sleep." Danny worried, running his fingers over Toms side. "well how about if we ask Tom what he wants to do when he wakes up? He'll probably have an idea of what he wants to do." I suggested, who else better to ask than Tom? "yeah, he might have an idea. Or will give us an idea." Danny agreed. "so you're agreeing to going out for a while?" Harry asked, looking hopeful. We were a bid bored of being inside all day every day, going out somewhere, hell even going food shopping was being seen as a day out at the moment!

"maybe, it depends on what Tommy wants. If he wants to go out, and wants to go to wherever we decide, and its safe, then maybe. If not, hell no, we're staying in." Danny answered, ordering Toms hair on his head with gentle fingers. Luckily, Tom woke up soon after, whimpering quietly to himself. "hey Tommy. Welcome back from sleepy land." Danny smiled, unhooking Toms glasses from his tshirt and putting them on his lovers face again, "Tommy, I've got something to ask you. We were thinking we could go out somewhere together, would you like to go out somewhere?" he carried on, hugging Tom close, rubbing his side. The tired blonde nodded a little, leaning more and more on Dannys shoulder, like he was falling asleep again.

"ah good. So, is there anywhere you would like to go?" I asked, reaching out to hold his hand. "pretty place." Tom mumbled, squeezing my hand back. "alright, a pretty place, what kind of pretty place?" Harry asked, Tom didn't answer. "do you mean like a beach or something?" Danny tried, Tom nodded a little. "alright, we'll look into going to a beach then." Danny smiled, kissing Toms cheek gently.

533 Dannys POV

I spent days searching for good beaches that were quiet, that didn't have much happening around them. We needed a quiet beach, that not many people went to on a weekday (it would be packed on a weekend) that had some sort of shelter (in case it rained, or got too much for Tom to handle) and was easy to get to. I didn't want Tom cramped up in a car all day, I wanted him to have fun, to be able to run around and play a bit. Hopefully, the beach I found would be alright. It was only an hour away from where we lived, and had a few small huts running along the side that could provide us with the privacy we could need. So, in my mind, it would be perfect.

We decided to go in the middle of the week, so it hopefully wouldn't be crowded by too many people, so Tom did have the room to run around and do what he wanted. I spent every day beforehand checking everything was going to be okay, running around madly to make sure we had food, Toms pills, spare clothes in case we got wet, towels for the same reason, everything. It was more stressful than when I left Tom and Dougie home alone, at least then I knew all the doors could be locked so there was nowhere Tom could run to if he got himself into a state! Now, he could get lost, or wander off, or get very scared because of whatever thing triggered him off. I was almost tempted to say that no, we weren't going out, but Tom needed to go out and have some fun before he went away to the psych ward. And, he was so looking forward to this, right now, Tom was bouncing round on the bed, looking so excited.

Tom was practically using the bed as a trampoline, how could I say that we were not going to the beach now? He had been kept inside the house for far too long, he had to go outside and be an excited kid for a while, and have some fun before he got sent away and ended up so scared and upset and lonely. I still hated myself for agreeing to it, the least I could do was give him a few good days out, even if it stressed me out so much I almost had a heart attack. "ready Tommy?" I held out my hand for him. "yeah!" Tom grinned, jumping off the bed and into my arms. "are you excited by any chance?" I smiled, hugging my boyfriend, checking he had his socks on, ready for his shoes.

"yeah!" Tom repeated, his smile so wide and so cute I just wanted to squeeze him tight and never let him go. "by how much?" I teased. "this much!" Tom held his hands out as far as he could. "haha I'm glad. Go get your shoes for me I'll make sure we have everything." I playfully kissed Toms cheek, letting him run off to get his shoes. I did a final check of my bag, making sure that I had everything, I did, thank god. Tom came running back a few seconds later, carrying his Converse with him.

I helped him put them on and made sure he was dressed well for the beach. Three quarter length trousers, long sleeved white shirt with a few bracelets around his abused wrist, just in case he wanted to roll up his sleeves, and his black trilby hat. Yep, he was ready for a day out. "now do you remember what I said about going out today?" I wanted to make sure that Tom was going to be safe. "yeah." Tom nodded, smiling proudly. "what did I say then?" I asked him, adjusting his hair when it fell into his eyes. "hold your hand and don't go away from you, no matter what happens...oh and don't talk to people that you and me don't know." Tom answered, the perfect answer.

"good boy." I gave him a hug and a kiss, taking him downstairs, finding Harry and Dougies car outside. "hey guys! Ready then?" Harry smiled, pushing his sunglasses on his head, his muscled arms on show from his sleeveless tshirt. "well dur!" I laughed chucking my bag into the back of the car. "get in b*tches we're going to the beach!" Dougie grinned, giggling a little. And so we all piled into the car, driving off to the beach, ready for one of our last days out before Tom went away.
