Nico Commits Suicide Because His Life Sucks: A Fanfiction
summary: nico commits suicide because his life sucks
an. hi guys this is my first fanfiction, so I'm going to tell you right now not to flame but what I really mean is don't say anything that could ever be a connotation to anything negative or else I will personally attack you and spam all of my stories because I can't take critizesim at all and I can't spell it either.
Nico stared outside of the window of his totally goth and super cool cabin of doom with skulls all over the place and black and red everywhere because metal. His life was so, so sad. His love Thalia wouldn't look at him. Percy and Annabeth had no time for him anymore. His stepmother beats him, which is odd considering she's basically the goddess of flowers and happiness. His dad is depressing to be around, which shouldn't be surprising because he's the god of the dead, not Mickey Mouse. The people at McDonalds keep getting his order wrong, and giving him a Big Mac, instead of his favorite McDouble…
It's a hard life.
A single tear rolls down his cheek as he stares off into the distance.
It's about time he said his goodbyes.
He threw a quarter in the fountain and called for the rainbow goddess, because for some reason completely unknown to anyone, the author forgot that they're demigods and don't even use modern money. "Show me Percy." He said, a tear strolling down his cheek. Yes. Strolling. As in, taking a nice walk through a garden, not as in gently falling from his gorgeous eyes.
I don't even know.
"Yeah Nico? What's up! I'm just hanging out here with Annabeth. What is it? Make this quick, we're about to go down to the beach." Annabeth giggled in the background.
"Goodbye, Percy. I'm leaving. I won't bother you again." Another tear strolled, not rolled, down his cheek. He swated at the mist, ending the connection.
He wandered over, and locked the door. He stared out the window for a few more minutes. He glanced at the clock. He sent a silent prayer to his dad, to let him know he'd be there shortly. Then he fell on his own blade, in a tragic show of solitude.
No one found him for three days, because no one cared at all.
And this was the tragedy of Nico DiAngelo. The poor son of Hades whom no one cared about, whose body rotted in silence as the fire in the hearth blazed on… his eyes were still open, forever staring into the distance.
How dramatic.

How It Should Have Happened
Nico stared out the window, thinking about all the things that had happened over the past day. Needless to say, it hadn't been a very good one. It was one of those days where anything that could go wrong, did go wrong. They messed up his order at McDonalds, but when he told them what was wrong all the cashier said was, "Don't kill yourself over it."
Then there was that monster he'd ran into on the way out. Don't even get him started on that. Sure, it's soul was black as hell whereto it goes and all that, but he always felt a bit bad about killing things. Must be all that time he spends around the dead. Either that, or the dust it gets all over his clothes. Probably the latter.
As he looked out the window of his new cabin, he saw Percy and Annabeth running off towards the beach together. They were pretty cute together.
He looked at the clock, and sighed. I guess it's time to go. Sure, he was sad. Was the emotion overwhelming? Not really. But he had to do what he had to do. He sent a silent prayer to his father, letting him no he would be there soon.
Time to say his goodbyes.
He threw the coin into the fountain he had set up for Iris messaging, and told it to call up Percy for him.
"Hey Nico! What's up? Can you make this quick? I'm a bit busy." He heard Annabeth's booming laughter in the background.
"I just wanted to say… goodbye…"
"What?!"
"I said, goodbye. I really appreciate how much of a brother you've been to me Percy."
"Nico? What do you mean?"
Nico took a deep breath. "I'm going where you can't, or at least shouldn't, follow me… goodbye Percy." And with that he waved his hand through the Iris message.
He let out a huge sigh, looked at the clock again, and began preparing himself for what must be done.
Soon enough, there was a knock on the door. "Nico! Nico let me in!" The door busted open, and standing in the doorway were Percy and Annabeth. "Don't do it Nico!" Percy yelled, lunging at Nico.
"Things will get better. I promise you." Annabeth said, putting a comforting arm around Nico.
He looked at them both, confusion spreading across his face. "What are you two talking about?"
"I know you may think it's the easy way out but—" Understanding dawned on Nico's face. So that's what they thought! He began to laugh.
"Nico?" Annabeth said. "It's not funny!"
"I'm just going to visit my dad for a few days in the underworld! I'm not going to kill myself. Geez, I'm not that fragile."
Annabeth and Percy looked at each other, then at Nico, before Percy said, "Well… this is really, really awkward for me, so I'm just going to go."
Nico rolled his eyes. Odd as they could be sometimes, it was nice having friends who cared so much.
The end?
A/N: Well, there you have it! A little longer than usual, but I have a feeling you guys won't complain. Send me a review or two! It's always much appreciated, even if I only have the time to reply to a few of you. Besides, would you rather have replies, or new chapters? :)
Much love!
