A/N: Alright, I figured, since it's my birthday, I'll go ahead and write something instead of doing homework.

I apologize for my lack of updates, I went to camp, then school started, the usual.

In Which Nico Gets a Girlfriend

Sumary: a new girl comes to camp and starts dating a special someone what will happen

AN: lol im so exited for this story ive been working on it for awhile, but obviously not long enough to spel check it or ask about a beta so good luck trying to decifer what im saying without punching the screan lol

Percy was walking along the beach, because apparently that's the only place he actually spends any of his life, when he casually bumped into Nico and a girl he was with.

"Hey"

"Hi this is the love of my life Mary" Nico replied, in a very unrealistic and stiff dialog sequence.

"Oh nice to meet you Mary" Percy replied.

Mary was a punk goth chick who was actually really nice but misunderstood and she likes really cool music and wears ripped tights and plays the guitar and her parent is dead and she's a daughter of *insert favorite god/goddess here* but she doesn't like her parent very much and she doesn't have many friends but that's okay because she's kind of a loner and she has long black hair that goes down to her butt and violet eyes and sometimes wears too much eyeliner but nico kind of likes that about her and he reached out to her when she had no one else and that's a special bond that they have that no one can break.

Which I think is pretty dang special, if you ask me. Very unique. No one has ever made up a girl like that for Nico before. Wow. Isn't the character just a special little snowflake?

She even had a weapon she carried around everywhere, and it was a super cool and rare sword that got really tiny sometimes and everyone was jealous of it, and she was a super good fighter too and had never lost against an opponent either.

They were perfect for each other and stuff.

"Thanks" she replied.

Nothing of actual substance happens next, because the main purpose of Percy's walk down the beach that he never leaves was to introduce this character that no one cares about to the readers.

Annabeth walks up to Percy from behind and slaps him.

"I HATE YOU CHEATER."

"WHAT?"

"I SAW YOU LOOKING AT HER!"

"I WASN'T LOOKING AT HER"

"HOW COULD YOU NOT LOOK AT HER SHE'S PERFECT." Annabeth screeched, because no story with an OC can go by without Annabeth becoming severely jealous of this perfect character.

"BECAUSE YOU'RE THE ONLY ONE I LOOK AT." He said, and annabeth stared into his eyes longingly. Because no story can go by without a cute percabeth moment, or a long fight.

"So no more yelling?"

"No more yelling."

Which was a surprise, because every chapter in this story has yelling.

"Later, my love." Nico said to his dream girl, as she stared off into the sunset. Tragedies later, the couple commited a double suicide after saving the world because no one can actually leave the poor kid alone.

How it should have happened:

"Look, Percy." Nico said, after he finally got a chance alone. "There's this girl named Mary, and she won't leave me alone. I think she has some creepy idea that we're made for each other or something…"

A worried look came across Percy's face. "Oh no, not her again. She's so annoying… and unrealistic."

Annabeth scrunched her nose. "I instinctively hate her because of her false perfection and belief that she is better than herself. Besides, if I were self-aware of my part in this story, I would point out that she's totally a Mary-Sue. But, you know, considering the fact that the author used a self-insert, I might as well break the fourth wall of writing."

"So what do I do?" Nico asked, fear in his eyes. "She might be here at any second!"

"We sit… and we wait." This was Percy's only reply.

"Wait for what?" Nico wondered aloud.

"The flamers."
