"Gon wake up!" She said softly "Come on!"

He had a reaction, his fingers began to twitch and his pupils shifted in their sockets, his eye lids strained and then promptly opened sluggishly his pupils gained the light it had lost.

"Gon are you awake?" "Uh - Scarlett what's wrong?" "How do you feel, does anything at all hurt, do you know where we are, who you are, what's your dog's name …?" She rushed. "Wait can't answer them all, and I don't have a dog." He chuckled lightly from the look moving his muscles around before sitting up.

She laughed loudly before hugging him tightly around his neck.

"Why are you laughing?" "It's nothing, nothing at all." She chuckled. "What happened to your accent, you're speaking normally?" He asked after she let him escape her mighty grasp. "My accent is only there when I don't feel secure around people or just a regular new person. Anyway, how do you feel?" She asked. "My head hurts, and I feel a bit dizzy and tired." He said grabbing onto his head. "Ah yes here, they brought us our food." She placed a tray on his lap, the tray had steamed vegetables, two small steaks, a carton of milk and a liquid like substance packed into a casket.

He quickly scarfed down the food, it was stale had no flavour, the meat was raw, the vegetables were soggy, the milk tasted weird, yet when you're starving anything tastes like it was on a million dollar menu. The tray was empty, all except the small tube of liquid left neglected in the corner of the tray.

"Hey eat that." She pointed at the small tube. "What is it?" Gon asked. "It's a medicine that makes you process the calories so you don't die from malnutrition," She replied.

He pulled his head back and poured it down into his mouth. He swallowed reluctantly avoiding his instinct to gag. The taste was foul vile revolting nothing could compared to taste of the fluid in his mouth, even after swallowing the substance, the taste had taken residence in his mouth. Grabbing the stale bread he stuffed it into his mouth, swallowing it whole.

"Almost every medicine here has a bad taste but you'll get used to it in about a month." She shrugged. "I'm sorry Scarlett but I don't think I will ever..." Gon said. "Believe it the taste is bad but you will." She said. "No that's not what I mean." He waved his hands in front of himself. " Huh?" She cocked her head to the side in curiosity. "I know my friends will come to rescue me and you can come with us we can go and adventurers and have fun." He said cheerfully, she cowered lightly. "Listen, even if you do save me from this place I won't have any idea what's outside look around you see these four walls these are where I was born raised and will probably will die what you will see outside in this room is what I'm used to I was born into this place with black white red blue and purple embedded into my skull by my retinas, for almost my whole life I lived off other people's suffering, I regret it. But I also want to go out and find out what's out there." She huffed. "Well then do there's nothing stopping you but these walls I'm sure you'll get out." He smiled. " Yeah." She at least hoped.

The days progressed in minutes and seconds, the snow build it up on the small window the temperature within the room plummeted they lean on each other's back rolling in the warmth from each other. The steel cuffs froze against their skin tearing their flesh at every movement, thick layers of clothes and blankets covered them. The food they were served was no better. He wrapped his arms inside his blood soiled dirty looking warm sweater. He didn't care if it was warm, it reminded him of home with high hopes in mind he turned his friend into the untouchable world of slumber. His eyes closed.

"Are you ready?" Cake closed her sacho locking it in place. "Yeah." He replied, he grabbed his backpack slinging it on his back, skateboard in hand. "Okay let's go Kurapika is waiting for us at the bus station." Cake said.

Locking the door they jumped on their skateboards speeding off down to the bus station. The street cleared of all snow for drivers layering it to the sides. With Kurapika at their side they reached the destination to a place, ready for what was in store for them.
