I don't own Code Geass
Ch. 9
Leabella 12
"So, when I activated my geass that's what my eye looks like?" Leabella asked eyeing the stark red mark tattooed on Richards chest.
"Yes, along with your iris turning red," Richard said as he put on a button up shirt.
"What is it?" Leabella asked looking at a mirror to see her violet iris turn a fiery red.
"It's a simple mark for geass," Richard said pulling his contractor away from the mirror. Leabella snapped out the trance her geass caused and he continued, "Anyone associated with geass, has the mark. Geass users will have it in their eyes, and geass contractors will have it somewhere on their body."
Leabella 13
Leabella looked dully at the military man with the royal blue European uniform as he asked, "What has Marko said about annexing Belarus into the European Union?"
Leabella shrugged looking around the French man's office stolidly. Can't believe Marko shipped me over here and made Rihard stay in Belarus… "Considering the fact that he didn't come over personally, and that he sent a thirteen year old representative, wouldn't you already have an answer, Commander Bouchard?" Leabella asked
The man frowned, "Well, Marko could have just told us through a letter. Why did he go through the trouble of sending his little assistant, eh?"
Leabella smiled when she spotted the Eiffel Tower outside the window, "Because I told him to."
"You?" Bouchard commented chuckling, "Marko takes orders from you?"
"For good reason," Leabella said twirling a lock of hair around one of her fingers, "I am the one that has been holding up against Brittania, and I'm usually the one that finds all of your spies. "
"You?" Bouchard exclaimed.
"Yes," Leabella said meeting the man's eyes, "So, there is a reason as to why I wanted to meet you in person."
"What is it?" Bouchard asked cautiously.
"What is it that you want from Belarus?" Leabella asked as she activated her geass and started to search the man's mind.
"What is this place?" Masanori asked, and Leabella looked around at the cave opening.
"Looks like a dirty old crave to me," Yuuto said flatly. Leabella looked over her shoulder to look at him displeased.
"This was what the EU wanted?" Katsu asked as the small group moved inside the cave. Leabella and Richard were in front and the three adults in back.
"It was something inside here," Leabella said looking around with her flashlight. "In his memories, Bouchard called it a thought elevator. Apparently all the world's super powers have at least one. And, if that leads to anything, it means that's the reason why Britannia and the EU want Belarus."
"So, what are you going to do with it once you find it?" Yuuto asked.
Before Leabella could reply, Richard spoke up, "Found it."
Leabella trotted over to him. He gestured to the wall where he was shining his flashlight. From what she could see there was a straight crack like door opening down the middle of the wall. Coming from the crack were smaller cracks that made up a design.
Leabella along with everyone else shinned their light on the wall revealing more of it. "It's the geass insignia," Leabellaa said looking over Richard. She didn't say anything as he approached the wall and placed his hand on the door. The moment his skin touched the hard surface, the insignia and cracks started to grow with a bright red light.
Leabella yelped grabbing her head. She didn't know, but it was like her mind was expanding, and it was causing excruciating pain in her head from the pressure.
"Bella!" The three men behind the two children yelled when they saw Leabella start to collapse. Richard was the one to catch her before he and Leabella disappeared.
"What?" Masanori questioned in shock as the light of the wall cracks darkened.
"Where'd they go?!" Yuuto said running up to the wall.
"Vanished," Katsu said astounded.
"C'mon, Leabella," Leabella scrunched up her nose, "Open your eyes," she didn't comply. Richard sighed peering around C's world. "Well at least now, I know what your geass is." He looked down at Leabella as her head rested on his lap.
"So," a voice erupted in his mind, "this is your contractor?"
"Felix," Richard whispered frowning.
"My dear little brother is all grown up," Feliciano said, "I never once saw you make a contract in all the time I was live; I'm a little jealous."
"That was along time ago," Richard replied.
"How long has it been?" the voice asked, "There isn't a sense of time here."
"60 years, brother," Richard uttered.
"Wow that's not that long."
"Long enough," Richard snapped.
"Who are you talking to?" Richard whipped around to look down at Leabella. His eyes widened a fraction when he saw that one eye stayed a bright crimson. "Heh I guess coming in here triggered that."
"Triggered what?" Leabella asked.
"You geass is permanent now," Richard said helping the girl up. Once she stood, he brought them back to crave. Leabella looked around.
"Bella!" the two jumped when three grown men tackled them to the hard cave ground.
"What's up?" Leabella groaned as she sat up.
"You've been gone for hours!" Yuuto shouted, checking over the girl for injuries.
"Hours?" Leabella questioned snatching her arms from the inspecting man.
"Yes," Katsu said looking down at the watch he had on his wrist, "It's been three and a half hours."
"Weird," Leabella said, stretching her arms up behind her head.
"Hey," Masanori said eyeing Leabella's features, "What's wrong with your eye?"
"Oh," Leabella said touched just under her left eye, "My geass is permanent now."
"Huh," Yuuto grunted keeping his sight on anything but the glowing geass.
"So," Richard said dusting himself off, but making no move to get up off the ground, "What do you plan to do, now that you've found what Britannia and the EU want with Belarus?"
Leabella smirked, "Destroy it. That's why be brought those bombs for."
Isabella 17
"Hi, I'm Isabella Lanperouge, I'm part of the student council," Isabella greeted Suzaku during class break.
"Oh, hi," he replied.
"If you have any trouble around school just tell me, k?" she said eyeing Lelouch from the corner of her eye. He still looked very much in shock.
"Okay," Suzaku smiled.
Isabella tensed when she felt a lean arm wind around her shoulders. She then heard a chipper voice, "Hi, I'm Shirley. I'm also part of the student council."
"It's nice to meet you," Suzaku replied.
Suddenly, they heard movement to the side. Isabella knowingly didn't look as Lelouch rose from his seat and left the class room. She looked at Suzaku as he watched Lelouch. Isabella kept watching, seeing shock slowly envelope him.
"Something wrong?" Isabella asked getting him out of his trance.
Suzaku jumped at her voice turning to her, "Oh, it's nothing."
Shirley looked at the door saying, "I wonder what wrong with Lulu."
"I think he said something about having a stomach ache," Isabella lied simply. She briefly looked at Suzaku who was trying to compose himself and said, "I'll go check on him."
Lelouch glared at the clouds in the distance. He leaned against the stone rail that kept him in his muse.
"There you are," Lelouch frowned when he heard the female voice.
"You knew didn't you?" Lelouch said agitated.
"About you knowing Suzaku? Or him coming to this school?"
"The first," Lelouch said turning to her, "I very well now that those forms you were working on last week were for him and someone else."
"You can figure it out," Isabella said nonchalantly.
"I'm not in the mood for games, Isabella," Lelouch seethed.
Isabella frowned not liking Lelouch's attitude. "Leabella and I already knew you were sent here. It didn't take that long to figure where you could have gone after the war, hens how we found you to begin with," Isabella said, "Suzaku just happened to be in the military, and Leabella requested that all Japanese soldiers be transferred to her squad."
They both turned when they heard the door leading to the roof opening. Suzaku emerged smiling. "Still using old codes I see," Suzaku commented.
Isabella raised an eyebrow."Only way to communicate," Lelouch said pulling on his collar with his finger. Isabella frowned.
"So, Shirley said you too were siblings," Suzaku said confused.
"She's not really my sister," Lelouch said then raised an eyebrow. "I'd thought you two knew each other."
"Huh?" Suzaku raised an eyebrow at Isabella. Sure, he suspected her of not being any where related to Lelouch, but he was sure he never saw before in his life.
"He doesn't," Isabella sighed.
"But, both of you are in the military, and in Leabella's squad," Lelouch countered.
"Oh!" Suzaku started, "You're the subordinate I'm supposed to guard."
"Guard?" Lelouch questioned.
Isabella groaned, "Yes, guard. Sort of. You see, only a few members of Leabella's squad knows about me. Because of that, they insisted on me having a guard," she motioned to Suzaku, "Suzaku needed to be in school, so it was only logical to put him and someone else as my guards." Isabella turned to Suzaku, "Lelouch went into hiding after the war."
"Yeah I heard," Suzaku said smiling.
Isabella raised an eyebrow hearing faint memories from Suzaku's mind, "Eavesdropping is quite rude."
Suzaku chuckled sheepishly and strode over next to Lelouch. They didn't speak anymore they all just lounged on the roof.
"So, have you seen the articles about Leabella's 'mystery man'?" Lelouch suddenly said begrudged.
Isabella groaned, "Yes." She noticed Suzaku frown at that. "But, she has to deal with it to hide you."
"Wait," Suzaku started, "Lelouch that was you?"
"Yes," Lelouch said frowning, "Who else would be dancing with my sister?"
"U-uh," Suzaku started, "Well…"
Isabella smiled, "She's not accepting any marriage proposals, so there's no need to worry."
Lelouch frowned, "She's not going to get tied to one, is she?"
Isabella sweat dropped, "No, she's fine."
They were silent again before Suzaku spoke turning to Lelouch, "Um, so are we supposed to be friends? I mean, I'm an eleven. It'll look odd. What do I even call you? I heard the girls calling you Lelouch, but…"
"I'm still Lelouch, but my surname is now Lamperouge," Lelouch started.
"Mine is too," Isabella said, "As, for the friend thing." Isabella frowned, "I'm sure I-Leabella has already told you not to call yourself an eleven." Lelouch raised an eyebrow at Isabella as she continued, "We're both in the military, so there should be no problem. And I already approached you, so too late."
Lelouch frowned, "It's going to attract attention."
"And singling him out isn't?" Isabella countered.
"It may be cruel but it's what everyone else would do," Lelouch responded.
"I for one don't do what everyone else does," Isabella retorted.
Suzaku looked between the two. He was vaguely reminded of Leabella and Yuuto. He smiled as the two continued.
"Lelouch! Isabella!" the two twins jumped looking over at the door that led inside. There standing by the open door was a very disapproving Shirley, "You're late! And you made Suzaku late too!"
"Eh," Isabella sweat dropped, moving towards the door, "Sorry, officer. It won't happen again."
"Ugh," Shirley said going inside, "It's always fun and games with you!"
Isabella stopped at the door turning towards Lelouch and Suzaku, "C'mon boys."
"Right," Suzaku said grinning.
Lelouch smirked as he moved behind Suzaku. 'Wonder what it would be like with Bella here…'
Isabella paused at the bottom of the stairs of their class floor. She looked up the stair way in Lelouch's direction, and she let a smile slip onto her lips.
One day later
Naoto's group watched on a small television at the presentation.
"This has got to be a joke!" Tamaki yelled. Naoto frowned at the image.
"I present," Leabella announced to the court, "my royal guard."
Nobody spoke. Most of the present nobles looked away or perplexed at the almost two dozen men lined up in Leabella's imperial military uniform. The first one to clap was Schneizel-in Japan for his last day. Then, Lloyd and Cecile. Though they were the only ones. After a while of awkward clapping, a few nobles joined in.
"It's not a joke?" Tamaki said looking at the screen in shock.
"Hey," Kaname started, "Look," he pointed to the center of the screen. Standing right below Leabella a few steps under her was a familiar someone with more accents on their uniform than the others in line, "It's Yuuto."
"No way," Nagato said, "He's in her royal guard. He looks like he's second in command."
"If he's there, where's Isa?" Naoto muttered narrowing his eyes at the screen. What was this? The new princess turned military officer had her entire guard composed of just Japanese men. Not one Britannian.
"How can this happen?" Jeremiah growled, "She made those mutts her guard?"
"We already knew this, Jeremiah, " Villeta said, "It was about time she made it official."
"Now how are we going to move around with the faction?" Kewwll muttered.
"We can still move around," Jeremiah said looking at his hands as if having a epiphany.
"But, princess Leabella out-ranks us," Villeta countered.
"Yes," Jeremiah answered, "but, her guard doesn't."
Leabella muttered to her computer to Yuuto's amusement. When she caught his snickers, he turned away to look around her new office. It was bigger and much more—if possible—elegant than the last one. Her entire guard had been transferred to the new military base—along with their own secluded section.
"What's wrong?" he asked smirking.
"I thought that I could go through the wall after becoming general," Leabella said looking at the code block leading to squad R00.
"That thing with Bartley? It's just a simply science division," Richard said upon his now favorite chair in Leabella's new office. It was a large single cushioned couch that was stuffed heavily and made of leather.
"No," Leabella said glaring at the screen, "That's he's only division that'll block someone at the rank of general. It's something important."
"Richard."
"Yes?" the immortal boy looked over at his contractor as she lounged on her ornate couch.
"Are there others like you?" Leabella questioned.
"Yes," Leabella whipped around to give him a perplexed look, "What?"
Leabella was taken aback, "Sorry, I just didn't expect-"
"For there to be immortals like me?" Richard question, "Yes, to my knowledge there is only two others. C.C. and V.V."
"Do I know them?" Leabella asked adjusting back to her lax posture.
"You've met them, I'm sure, but if you remember them is beyond me," Richard commented remembering his contractor as a little girl playing with C.C.
"I have?" Leabella inquired, "Hm, I must have been too young." Leabella looked up at the ceiling thoughtfully, "Richard, how were you related to Britannia?"
Richard paused, a cookie half way to his mouth. He brought the cookie to arms length to look at it, "Hm, It was when I was still human." Richard put down the cookie, letting it lay on his stomach to stare at, "I was a child, and my older brother got a contract with geass."
"You have a brother?" Leabella asked incredulously.
"Had," Richard corrected, "And, yes. We wound up in Britannia mingling with the royal family, and then I got a contract with geass." Richard brought up the cookie and took a bite, "And then, I became a contractor."
"Why'd you stay?"
Richard sighed, "I didn't. I went around the world, making contracts with people. Their side of the contract would always be to find me a new contractor, so with that, I just moved from one contractor to another," Richard finished off his cookie, "I think it was 40 years-maybe 30 years-ago when I left. Either way, I think it was about twenty years before you were born when I returned to Britannia. "
"Hm," Leabella thought of the Britannian history. "You left when my father was probably ten."
"Hey, Yuuto!" Tamaki yelled, "Why didn't you tell us you were in a half pint Brit princess's guard?"
"Uh…" Yuuto started, and Isabella frowned, insulted.
"Leave him alone, Tamaki," Kaname ordered. He turned to Yuuto, "So you're in this Leabella's guard."
"Yes," Isabella said sternly.
"And what about you?" Naoto said walking up to them, "We didn't see you at the presentation."
"I'm a sergeant. Nothing special," Isabella lied.
Naoto grunted taking it. "Alright," he turned to Yuuto, "Now, you tell us. What's up with this princess having an all Japanese guard."
Yuuto sighed looking for a chair. Once he sat, he told them everything. About Belarus. How he met Leabella—though not about her geass. How the squad grew as a military fighting machine. How they went back to Britannia.
"It's only luck that we ended up here," Yuuto finished. Isabella looked around.
"How the hell do you expect us to believe you?" Tamaki burst out.
"Tamaki," Naoto silence him. He looked Yuuto in the eyes for a minute before speaking, "Fine, but we want to know her activity."
"As of right now all she's doing is cracking on Britannian mafia members," Yuuto said.
"No resistance groups?" Naoto questioned.
"Not for right now."
"So, who are we raiding next?" Kaname asked looking at a map of the Tokyo settlement and Shinjiku ghetto.
Naoto studied the map carefully, "We still have Big Gun, Panther, and Blue John," he turned to Yuuto, "Which one did you say that the princess was going to be at next week?"
"Blue John," he replied, "He has connections to the Chinese federation. He's been trafficking Japanese to be the wealth's slaves. Along with that he's been shipping off Britannian fugitives to escape prosecution. The only difficulty with this operation is John knows that Leabella is after him."
"Alright," Naoto said circling a couple of warehouses that bordered the ghetto and settlement. "John's expecting Britannian soldiers, not a resistance group. That way we'll see what the princess's guard is made of."
"We aren't going after Blue John after all," Leabella said to her squad.
"What?" Yuuto shot in surprise.
"We've been going at it for a while now," Kichiro started, "Why stop?"
"Blue John knows that we're after him, so he'll be prepared for our attack," Leabella said, "In the mean time we're going to start going to resistance groups."
"What are you doing?!" Yuuto said frustrated when he entered Leabella's office.
Leabella frowned, "Yuuto, calm down and think. I'm simply hitting two birds with one stone."
Yuuto took a deep but didn't calm down, "No you're using two stone at the same time, and something is bound to go wrong."
"Look," Leabella started, "We'll just lead Naoto's group to think that I'm going to be somewhere, and they'll go there. I know Naoto is too interested in the squad to pass up the chance of meeting me."
"And what if he starts figuring out that the squad is always somewhere else?" Yuuto countered.
"Well, that just won't happen," Leabella said. "I don't mind meeting them as Leabella, but not right away."
Yuuto sat on Leabella's couch, "So, now what?"
"C'mon now," Leabella said encouraging, "You're my second in command, you need to figure it out."
Yuuto frowned and stayed silent for a bit, "You want me to wait to tell Naoto," Leabella nodded, "You want to be there as Isabella for Blue John," another nod, "And I take it there's a reason why you don't want to go after him as yourself." He received another nod, "Why?"
Leabella frowned, "Blue John is in good standing with the imperial family because he's of noble decent. I need to better my reputation as princess to get more leverage on people, so I can't go after someone who is in favor of the crown."
Yuuto sighed, "I don't envy you. Your life is so complicated."
Leabella cracked a smile but faltered when there was a stark knock on her door. "Come in."
A imperial soldier made his way into the room before saluting Leabella and announcing, "Your highness has a call from the crown. If your highness would follow me to the meeting room."
"The crown?" Leabella questioned.
"Yes, it is your majesty," the soldier said.
Leabella sighed getting up, "Fine fine." She looked over at Yuuto, "Tell the squad that when I return, we're going after the first target resistance."
"Leabella," Charles zi Britannia addressed his daughter as she bowed before the screen.
"Your majesty," Leabella said as she rose to look at her father through the large screen. 'Clovis just loves extravagant things…'
Charles started, "What are you planning?"
"I beg your pardon?" Leabella asked.
"You were Belarus's Wrath," Charles said, Leabella's heart froze, "Why are you dawdling with mundane criminals? I did not grant you a rank so you can play with children."
Leabella blinked, "I'm sorry, father."
"Don't apologize," Charles boomed, "You did well in Belarus." Leabella blinked looking up at the screen. "You gained the trust of the country, and then tore it down for the world to see." Leabella forwarded her brows. He thought that she became 'Belarus's Wrath' for the soul purpose of destroying the country? Really? Leabella smiled inwardly. The fool! Charles voice interrupted her thoughts, "Show me, Leabella, that you are my child. That the blood of a ruler runs through you're veins."
The line cut, and Leabella stood there stunned. She stared at the screen before growling out, "What the hell?"
Yuuto swallowed harshly. He was going to give Leabella a lot of shit for making him go through all this. He gave her-in her disguise-a side ways glare then looked over at the red head in front of him.
Naoto frowned deeply at Isabella and Yuuto, "What do you mean she's not going to be here?"
"Well," Yuuto started, "Leabella stopped her pursuit on Blue John since he has close ties with the royal family."
Naoto sighed, "Stupid reputations." Naoto forwarded his brows thinking of what to do, "We should still go after him. If anything, we can get any weapons that he has. We'll meet with the princess some other day."
"Alright," Yuuto said, and Isabella nodded.
"He almost wasn't going to take it," Yuuto said troubled starting his car.
"But he did," Leabella said taking off her wig. "He still has something to gain from Blue John."
"You're relying too much on luck," Yuuto said warningly
"And, you are not open minded enough," she replied simply.
Yay new chapter! I am so sorry how long this update took. I fault college and choir for taking up all my time, and the fact that I can't work on this website at school.
okay wells, bye bye
