Yay another update! Anyways I wanted to take this time to clarify a something that I should have said earlier. Before any scene or sequence of scenes I'll either put Leabella or Lelouch (Sometimes Isabella) and a number right after. The number indicates the age of the character in the scene that follows.

Feel free to tell me if you like the little flashbacks or if you like Isabella [your feedback will determine when her secret is revealed and how long she'stays'] I have seen a few complaints on her. Don't worry, she isn't a very permanent character. Just remember as much as I enjoy writing this fic, I am also writing this for you, Readers. And just so you know, you can ship as much as you like. But remember these's characters are teenagers.

Thank you to those who read that, and let's get back to the story.

I don't own Code Geass

Enjoy~

Ch. 15

Leabella 16 -arriving in Pendragon, Britannia-

Leabella smirked tossing down an Ace and a 10 of spades, "Royal Flush. My win." The men around the table with her groaned.

"So are we like illegal aliens or something when we step off this plane?" Kichiro asked, gathering the cards to deal them.

"Yes…and no," Leabella said, "You are legally a citizen since you're my guard. However, everyone here is going to discriminate against you guys no matter what since you're not Britannian, but we can lay low. We've done that before."

"You highness," Leabella turned when a sentry entered the lounge that the squad had commandeered. "We have arrived in the capital."

Leabella sighed flopping onto her new bed. She had just had dinner with Euphemia and a few of her other younger siblings. She picked up her phone from her bag that was put in the room by the staff of the palace. Quickly, she dialed Yuuto's number.

'Hello, Leabella?' Yuuto answered.

"Hey, how is everyone doing?" She asked walking over to the dresser across the room. There must be something for her to wear. The palace staff had been told before hand of the princess's arrival.

'Everyone is alright, It helped a ton that you came in with us to check in,' Yuuto said.

Leabella frowned. The hotel staff wouldn't have let her squad in the front door if it wasn't for her and the few military officers with her. "Nobody giving you guys trouble?"

'We're just staying in are rooms. Don't want to make too much of a disturbance. We've already ordered room service, so we'll be good for the night,' Yuuto said. Leabella simply hummed in reply as she found a suitable night gown. Seems twenty-four hours was just enough time to stock a dresser with clothes for a lost princess. Yuuto spoke up again, 'How are things on your end?'

Leabella attacked her phone to her ear, so she could start to change out of the ridiculous dress the palace staff insisted she wear for her audience with the noble court, "I spoke to my father."

'…the emperor?'

"Yes, His Majesty 98th Emperor to the imperial throne Charles zi Britannia," Leabella said sarcastically, "What other father do I have?" all she heard was Yuuto's huff, and she continued, "Anyways, he knows about Belarus's Wrath."

Yuuto sounded concerned now, 'Do I need to head a rescue mission for you?'

"No, I'm not going to be beheaded," Leabella said finally in the night gown plopping on the bed once again, "He looked over it."

'…and?'

Leabella smiled up at the canopy of the bed, "And, he is sending us to Japan."

Lelouch Leabella 17

Lelouch's hands were shaking as he rushed to exit of Clovis's consulate. The dazed soldiers outside would buy him some time though he still had to leave quickly. He cursed under his breath as he saw the elevator doors start to open without him pushing the button to call it. Had someone come to the prince's aid? Was he really going to be caught just after killing his brother? His life would end here. Lelouch choked on the sharp intake of breath he took when the doors revealed who was inside the elevator.

There, sprawled on the elevator floor in a dark green military jacket, laid Leabella. He frowned, concerned, at her before pressing the control panel to send him to the floor level. As the elevator began its snail like descend, Lelouch crouched down to his sister. He moved her long hair away from her face and checked her pulse. He sighed from he found a thump against his fingers and noticed her breathing.

The elevator doors opened, and she started to move slightly. Lelouch tensed grateful that she hadn't opened her eyes and seen the blood on the military uniform he stole. He quickly stood noticing her wincing in pain and clutching her head. Lelouch dashed out of the consulate thinking about what just happened with his sister.

She somehow knew something was wrong with Clovis. As to what happened to her in the elevator was a mystery to him. From seeing her in pain, one cause might have been her being knocked unconscious with force, but who would do that—possible one of the soldiers he put this spell on?—but why would they just dump her there?

Lelouch was a well distance away when he heard the shouting. No time to think about Leabella. He had to escape for now.

Leabella didn't feel pain anymore. Well pain wasn't the word for what she was feeling. Was she still in Clovis's mind? She could feel her body running cold and it was hard to breath. She tried to open her eyes to no avail. She heard the faint sound of shouting and felt someone one lift her body.

She wanted to react, but everything went dark again.

"Leabella!" Yuuto shook Leabella in his arms. Behind him was the rest of the squad and R.R. They all frowned grimly when he didn't get a response except her breathing.

"Her highness needs to rest!" the nurse that treated Leabella snapped at him. "Moving her around like that isn't going to help any!"

Yuuto sighed laying the princess down. After that he and the squad apologized to the medic. The nurse shook her head. She really wanted to kick them out, but being that they were her royal guard she had no jurisdiction over them. She looking over at the princess in the cot the soldier had placed her on. She was perfectly fine,

just not waking up.

The nurse jumped when she felt a movement near her. R.R. walked over to Leabella's head placing a hand on it. After a moment of silence he spoke, "She alright. Just give her time." Before the nurse could chide R.R., the young looking boy looked over at Yuuto then deliberately walked out of the med truck.

"Okay what's wrong?" Yuuto said as Masanori and Katsu joined him to question the immortal.

"Let's just say she did something stupid," R.R. said looking over at the consulate. It was now dark out and if one wasn't looking for it, they wouldn't have noticed a group of people walking out of the exit of the consulate holding a body bag. The three soldier's followed his gaze.

-Later on that Night-

Leabella had been taken to her room when they returned to the settlement. A doctor had been assigned to check on her in the morning. Yuuto looked at her sleeping form from his chair next to her bed. He would stay here till she woke up. Exhaustion be damned.

-Next Morning-

"Ugh," Rivalz said throwing his arms across the table in the student council room, "Where is Isabella and Suzaku!? They could be helping with this mess of a budget!"

"One of their reps called earlier saying they were going to be absent for a while," Milly said, "But, that doesn't excuse anything! When they return, they're going to have to do all the paper work that they're missing."

"What if they return after we have to get this done!?" Rivalz asked, "That means, we still have to do they're work."

"You know," Shirley said looking up from the paper she was working on, "I wonder what's got them away." Lelouch looked over at her from the corner of his eye.

"It has to do something with the sub-viceroy if Isabella isn't here," Rivalz said just before the bell for homeroom rung.

Milly groaned, "We'll continue with the budget after school."

Yuuto frowned looking out of the window in Leabella's bedroom. In the distance to the right was the direction of Ashford Academy. He knew Leabella would want to check on Lelouch when—if—she woke up. "Do you really think whatever it is that you want to go will help?" Yuuto said looking incredulously at R.R.

The immortal boy looked over at him dully, "It will possibly be the only thing that will wake her up. The doctor will be here soon, and she needs to be awake because they will check her vitals and her eyes."

Yuuto looked from R.R. to Leabella asleep on her bed and back. He sighed rubbing his eyes exhaustively and walked over to the boy and princess, "Fine." R.R. nodded and started removing his shirt. "What are you doing?" Yuutoo snapped. A glare from the icy blue orbs quickly shut him up. Yuuto's eyes widened when he saw the stark tattoo on the boy's upper back. "So…what do I do?" the Japanese man asked.

R.R. sighed, 'Could have done this on my own…' "Just have her hand touch the mark."

Yuuto shrugged. Easy enough. He reached over to the princess picking up her hand that was dwarfed by his larger one. Slowly he placed the tips to a few of her fingers on the mark. Yuuto gasped seeing the mark glow from the contact, and Leabella's hand was snatched back. Yuuto looked over shocked at how quickly the princess had reacted.

Yuuto panic when he saw Leabella clutching her head grimacing. He looked over at the immortal growling, "You didn't say it would hurt her."

"Only way . To wake. Her up," R.R. said in his face before crawling on the bed to the princess.

Finally Leabella sat up slowly rubbing her temples. After a moment, she sighed, "What happened to Clovis?"

Yuuto raised an eyebrow, and R.R. replied, "I think you know the answer."

Leabella groaned covering her face in her hands. Yuuto asked concerned, "What happened to the prince?"

Leabella's voice was soft, "He's dead."

Kallen Lelouch 17

Kallen sighed crouching in a bush. She silently thanked the bee for chasing away those girls before swiping at it. The half Japanese girl took out her phone from her jacket.

"Nothing," she said frowning. Isabella had yet to call her at all. Kallen had tried to call, but she would go straight to voice mail. It had only been a day, but anything could have happened. Isabella could have gotten hurt somehow….or the military found out she was a traitor…and she was arrested….or worse: executed. "She would find a way to tell us if something went wrong right?" she asked herself. Yuuto would tell her if anything happened. If only she could stay with Kaname and see what he had found out.

"God, I hate this," she exclaimed rising to stand straight and bringing her sandwich to her mouth, "I'm sick of acting like a freaking invalid." Kallen bit harshly into her lunch, then noticed a dark haired boy approach her. 'Crap. He saw me…' Kallen raised an eyebrow. If she remembered correctly the kid was in the student council, and on the rare occasions that she would attend school, she would sometimes see Isabella with him. She remembered her friend saying something or other about the boy briefly.

"C-can I help you with something?" Kallen asked him.

Lelouch looked straight into her eye activating his geass, "I want answers."

Kallen stood at attention then, "Of course."

"Were you the one piloting the Glasgow in Shinjiku?"

"Yes," Kallen replied like a stone, "The red one."

Lelouch raised his eyebrow, "Who was piloting the green one?" Though he had only briefly conversed with whoever it was in the green knightmare it still sparked his interest.

"We call her Isa," Kallen said, "But her name is Isabella Lamperouge." Lelouch's eyes widened at that. What the hell? Isabella? The adviser to the Sub-viceroy and head of the military was working with terrorist? She was betraying his sister? Lelouch narrowed his eyes.

"Why terrorism?" Lelouch asked moving on, but still very bothered.

"Because I'm Japanese though, technically, I'm half Britannian."

Lelouch's eyes widened again though not as wide as before, "Half blood?" He frowned. These girls… He had seen Kallen and Isabella together a few times. He would have never imagined the two in associated with terrorism. "But why go so far?"

Kallen's expression didn't change at all, "My brother was killed by a Britannia." Then, Kallen's eye's lost their red ring and dullness. "Uh, did you want something?"

"No," Lelouch said turning away, "I got what I wanted here."

"Um," Kallen said blinking, "Can I ask you something?"

Lelouch raised an eyebrow apprehensively, "What is it?"

Kallen forwarded her eyebrows, "Have you spoken to Isabella?" Lelouch blinked at that, surprised. "You're like her boyfriend or something?"

"U-uh," Lelouch choked cursing himself for losing his composure, "No, I'm her brother."

"Oh," Kallen said. That made sense. She always saw them walking together to the clubhouse, "U-um. Well, have you heard from her?" Lelouch blinked. "I've tried calling her, but the call won't go through. And she's not in school today."

Lelouch frowned, "The military called the school earlier today. Apparently, she's doing something with the military, so I haven't seen her today."

"The military?" Kallen questioned in surprise, "But, aren't you living with her?"

"Well, due to her position, she needs to be with her commanding office all the time," Lelouch said looking down at the red head, "She is the adviser to the Sub-viceroy." Lelouch saw the shock in Kallen's eyes as she tried to process the information, "Oh, and another thing. Don't tell anyone about Shinjiku."

Kallen snapped out of her racing mind forwarding her brows, "What do you mean about Shinjiku? Why would you say that?"

"Go back to class," Lelouch said firmly.

"As soon as a get an answer to my question, I will," Kallen snapped. Suddenly Kallen's phone started ringing. Mentally cursing whoever it was that was calling her, Kallen grabbed her phone seeing who was calling: Isa. Kallen looked up to see Lelouch already gone.

"Dammit," Kallen said answering the phone, "Isa, your brother is weird."

"What?" Kallen heard Isabella reply amused. "I just called to say, I'm okay. And, how do you know my brother? He's always weird."

"He just came up to me, and starting talking crazy. He mentioned something about Shinjiku. And by the way, why the hell doesn't the group know that you're the adviser to the Sub-freaking-viceroy?"

"Okay," Isabella said slowly over the phone. "My brother was in Shinjiku. I haven't asked him how he got there, but he probably saw you. Don't worry, he's not going to report you."

"How would you know that?" Kallen snapped.

Isabella sighed, "Because he'd only report it to me, and I'm not going to do anything, so stop freaking out."

"And, about you being Princess high horse's lackey?"

Isabella made a disgruntled sound over the phone, "High Horse?" Isabella scoffed, "Whatever, that's a conversation I would need to have with the entire group."

Kallen blinked, "So, you really are her adviser?"

"Yes."

"Well it seems you're as healthy as can be," the royal doctor said after checking over Leabella. Yuuto sighed in relief. "I couldn't find any physical causes as to why you were unconscious; it may be you just fainted from the stress of the battlefield." Leabella wanted to snort at that, but she let it go.

"I recommend plenty of fluids and a good meal," the doctor said cheerily as he was led to the exit of Leabella's office.

"Of course, Doctor," Leabella replied shutting the door to the entrance of her squad's division.

Leabella didn't have enough time to turn around when she was overcome by multiple bodies all yelling her name in joy. Leabella wheezed from being squeezed in all directions, but she didn't care. She knew from what Yuuto told her that she gave everyone quite a scare. The princess laughed at the squad's antics of the group hug. With her geass relatively activated she was sensing how relieved they all were, and how worried she had left them.

Finally, when the group loosened up, still staying pretty close she saw the faces closest to her. Kichiro was patting her head. Masanori and Isao were smiling. Yuuto was making sure no one crushed her. Katsu was laughing along with her. Eiji was wiping his eyes like he'd been crying before while he was dogged on. However, the closest to her was a wide green eyed boy with messy brown hair.

Lebella looked down at the bandages that were still around his torso. She didn't know why she did it, but just sensing his individual worry of her, made her act without thought. Her milky hands reached out for his rough course ones. Leabella looked up to look Suzaku in the face and was met with sparkling eyes. She squeezed lightly, reassuringly, and he squeezed in return.

And they were met with a horde of wolf whistles and cat calls.

"So, you're going to rely on them?" Richard asked raising an eyebrow as Leabella changed into a dress suited for a princess-in her standards. Euphemia would probably say she needed a longer skirt and a petticoat.

"Right now, right here, they are the most powerful and power hungry officers in the military other than me," Leabella said fixing her hair, "If I want them to work with me, I need to get them on my side before they start pushing this purist crap."

Richard looked at her as a sprawled more into the comforter on her bed, "Clovis's death really plays in their favor."

Leabella smirked, "It plays into every one's favor."

"So, you're not going to mourn?" Richard asked. He knew how close the siblings were.

Leabella sighed looking sadly out the window, "I'm not allowed to."

"Your Highness," Margrave Jeremiah Gottwald and Villetta Nu stood, bowing their heads, when the Princess entered his office.

Leabella narrowed her eyes at the two. Always together. Always scheming. She walked over to the two, "My, there's no reason to be so stiff," Leabella started looking from Jeremiah to Villetta, "Sub-viceroy is just a title."

Jeremiah looked ready to speak, but stopped himself.

Leabella frowned, "So, I take it you've heard the news."

"Your Highness," Villetta started, "We're so sor—"

"There is no need," Leabella cut her off. "You see, you two and I are very much the same. With Clovis's death, we have been granted some opportunities."

"Princess," Jeremiah started cautiously, "Are you saying that you…"

"No, I didn't kill my brother," Leabella frowned at him, "The killer is still at large. Which is what I wanted to task you with."

"Anything, my lord," Villetta replied.

"General Bartley has partial blame for my brother's death," Leabella said. "He and his men were not with Clovis as they should have been at the time of death. As I'm sure you and half of the military already know that, you may also be well aware that he is planning on fleeing." Leabella looked over to Jeremiah, "You are to apprehend him and bring him to me. Then, you are to search for the killer."

"Yes, Your Highness," Jeremiah and Villetta replied.

"Good," Leabella said, "And, if all goes well, I may spare you a treat." Jeremiah and Villetta looked at each other from the corner of their eyes. A promotion.

"However," Leabella's voice was suddenly cold and threatening, "Don't let yourselves think that I am going to tolerate your pureblood faction for very long." Jeremiah looking at the princess as his eyes widened. "If you or anybody in your circle steps out of line, I will strip you of your title completely."

"Yes," Jeremiah said slowly, "Princess. Whatever you say."

Creamy fingers traced over the photographed face of the blond boy, as said boy stared back at Leabella. It was the last photo that Clovis had taken with the vi Britannia twins. The three were on one of their monthly picnics at the Aries Villa in the garden. Leabella smiled lightly remembering that Clovis loved that garden. She was sure that, by now, whoever was in charge of the Villa had changed it.

"Maybe I can make a garden for his memorial," Leabella said quietly to herself walking about of older brother's empty office. Soon to be hers.

Leabella turned her head to the door when she heard it open. In a young woman's head peaked through the double doors. Leabella recognized her as Clovis's secretary. "Your Highness," the woman started, "I'm taking my leave."

"Alright," Leabella replied lightly, "The sentries are posted outside correct?"

"Yes, Princess." Leabella nodded. "Goodnight, your highness. I suggest you go to bed, Princess. It's quarter till midnight."

The woman left the room, closing the door softly. Leabella grumbled lying on the couch, "Not even tired. Was in a stupid coma for too long." The princess bent her head back over the armrest to glance out the window that showed the city. The settlement was bright with the thousands of lights illuminating Tokyo at night.

"Lelouch," she murmured, getting her phone that was lying on the coffee table.

After a few rings there was an answer, "Isabella?"

"U-uh," Leabella started contemplating something. For this one moment, she didn't want to put up a façade just to communicate with her brother. She wanted to be herself with him for once.

"Lea?" Lelouch asked quietly over the line.

Leabella took a deep breath, "It's me, Lelouch."

Lelouch was quiet for some time, "It's been a while."

"Yeah," Leabella smiled softly, "that can happen."

"So, how did you get Isabella's phone?"

Leabella chuckled, "She's my adviser. I can borrow her phone."

"Oh? You never did that before," Lelouch said.

"I could have, couldn't I?" she mused, "But there is a reason for my calling."

"Hmm? Go ahead."

Leabella frowned, "I saw you in Shinjiku."

"Right," Lelouch said slowly.

"How did you manage to end up there?" Leabella asked, "When I saw you, I nearly had a heart attack."

"Oh, there was this accident on the road," Leabella raised an eyebrow, "I went to see if the driver was alright, but before I could do anything they drove off with me in it."

"You were in that truck?" Leabella asked incredulously, recalling the crashing sound when she was on call with Kallen and they were escaping with the 'gas'.

"Yes," Lelouch replied, "And then…Suzaku."

"Oh," Leabella perked up, "Suzaku is doing fine."

"That's great," Lelouch said relieved, "I was worried he had died with that shot."

"Me too," Leabella said playing with the ends of her hair, "That woman…"

"The one from the capsule? She died," Lelouch said. "The royal guard found us and they shot her."

Leabella's eyes widened, "What did they do to you?"

"Oh," Lelouch said, "T-they didn't see me, I was hiding." Lebella sighed. She couldn't place his tone, but something was definitely off. However, now her concern was that woman.

Leabella frowned, "I have something to tell you."

"What is it?"

"Clovis," she started, "was murdered yesterday, in cold blood, right in his consulate."

Lelouch was quiet for a moment, "Does this make you the Viceroy?"

"Yes," Leabella sighed, "Now I have completely power of Japan's politics and military. And I'm going to find whoever killed Clovis."

"Things are going to be getting dangerous for you," Lelouch commented.

"As long as it keeps you and Nunnally safe, I don't care," Leabella replied.

"Lea—"

"Lelouch," she stopped him, "Mom is gone. It's my job to make sure you're safe. That's what older siblings do."

"You're older by ten minutes," Lelouch berated.

"Still counts," Leabella giggled.

"Say Leabella," Lelouch started.

"Hmm."

"What do you think of Isabella?"

Leabella raised her eyebrow at the question, "She's great. She's does the things I can't do with my position. Like go to school and make sure you're okay. Monitor the levels of the military. Go buy pizza. Why do you ask?"

"It's nothing." Lelouch said after a pause.

-Next Morning-

Isabella Lelouch 17

"I need to talk to you about your brother," Kallen said the moment she saw Isabella enter their homeroom class.

"What about?" Isabella rose an eyebrow looking around for said boy.

Kallen looked around at the entering students, "It's about him being at you-know-where while you-know-what was happening."

Isabella frowned, "He was there by accident."

"And we had some mystery guy talking to us," Kallen said.

Isabella looked at her surprised, "There is no way; I'd recognize my brother's voice."

"Oh c'mon," Kallen said.

"Kallen," Isabella firmly, "We'll talk about it later." The red head huffed.

Suzaku sighed in the quite training room. The squad had gone to run on the military's track. He, still recovering, would have had to sit out. So, Suzaku chose just to stay in the division and bum around for once. There wasn't much he could do. He had already had breakfast. He could only do light workouts which wasn't appealing. The squad had a computer, but he wasn't one for technology. He wished he was able to go to school with Isabella. He wanted to know is Lelouch was okay. Isabella told him in the morning that he was fine, but still.

Suddenly he heard a knock come from the entrance of the division.

"Hmm?" No one ever knocked on the door. Quickly he made his way to the door and opened it.

There he saw an officer—a tall man with orange straight hair, Suzaku briefly remembered him: Kewell—and two other soldiers flanking him. When the visitors saw who he was, Kewell questioned, "Private Suzaku Kururugi?"

"Yes?" he asked raising an eyebrow. Before he could resist, the two soldiers apprehended him.

Kewell looked down at him as the soldiers brought Suzaku out into the hall by force. Suzaku grunted, "What is this? What's going on?"

Kewell closed the door saying, "You're under arrest for treason."

So, there you go.

Hope you enjoyed.
