Author's Note

IF you don't fancy sad stories at the moment, maybe you should consider skipping this chapter as this relates to the death of Naruto during his second life, and that in some respect, it is quite out of character?! I suppose... so IF OOC is something that you seriously dislike, then maybe also considering to skip this chapter.

Nonetheless, as always, reviews are welcome! Doumo!

Prescripto13: just because he is still young and that it's like getting caught by his older relatives and I guess it would be a quite embarrassing moment.

Dreamer1984: WWWWWWW that's Jiraiya.

p.s. this chapter... well.. the concept was taken from Gackt-san's relatively new song, as well as the english verison that was sung by Yohio. The concept here mainly taken from the latter. Nonetheless, really should listen both and I am still fan girl after all those years of listening Gackt-san's music *blush*

"Dear me," Tsuki appeared and sat himself lightly on the tip of the tree branch. "I thought I would able to find some proper company to kill my time. The pair of lovebird is far too distressing for my taste. I thought you two are too old for that."

"It's never too old for anything, Tsu," An replied, as he removed himself from Kazuhiko's embrace. "So is Jiraiya been enjoying his observation?"

"Clearly, without doubt." Tsuki chuckled softly. He reached out his hand, with his palm facing the sky. "The sakura here is the purest after all. The hue of white showing the holiness of this place."

"Hai," the vampire replied gently.

"It reminded me the blood sakura that we used to have, back in the days when you are only an alchemist." Tsuki said as he dropped the flower, letting it fall in a zig-zag motion.

"That's the gravestone of our specimens," An whispered darkly.

"Specimens or not," Tsuki collected another hand full of flowers, rubbing them in his palm. "They have agreed for that."

An did not continue the topic but took out a small crystal ball from his front pocket. He raised it up in the air, letting the afternoon sun ray shine through the transparent structure. "I got this in Medusa's room, Tsu, as well as Kazuhiko, I think you should look at it."

OoooO

Naruto looked out, through the bar window that was up, almost at the ceiling. After days of interrogation, he was already exhausted. He remembered the blue haired assistant's warning. But he refused to take it into his heart, as he believed in his fellow villagers.

Kakashi is coming soon, as he was only away for his own kinsmen. There have been various hunting around the areas. The vampire leader has to uplift his promise, withdrawing his best protégé to assist. He never meet nor even seen the vampire leader before, but somehow he believed in the immortal. Even though he only encountered the said vampire's paper crane, he already placed his trust.

Even his own people beat him, he still felt ashamed by having doubts. He familiared with the Chruch's teaching, nonetheless, he did not see the problem of having peace with the immortals.

The scent of the sakura relief his already strained senses. The taste of iron filled his mouth and nose. No matter how he persuaded his fellow men, all he received was their heartless punches.

He understood their concern. He would also feel afraid and fragile. However, it was different. There's occasions of uncontrollable vampires. However, he knew that Kakashi and his kinsman have been doing a great job, hunting the traitors down on their own, even without the aid from the Senju.

An orange fox squeezed his head between the bars and peeked. He looked down, at Naruto, who was laying on the cold ground bonelessly. "You smell like one of the Sasaki. Why aren't you finding ways to escape? They would definitely hang you by the end of this week."

Naruto smirked painfully, as blood clotted on his cheeks. "My body is beyond repairment. I cannot convert to a Sasaki like this. As a Kitune like you should able to tell."

"Obviously I can tell," the fox replied in annoyance. He knew that the boy was on the last drop of his life. However, out of his rationale, he wanted to help the boy. "Since I pass by, if you want, I can get you out now." He listened carefully as he heard footsteps approaching. "Make up your decision, boy."

The men opened the door swiftly, almost smashed the door; and at that split second, the fox was summoned by his master. "Damn," he thought as the boy evaporated from his sight. By the time he was able to come back, the whole village was already wiped out.

Naruto looked at the men who tied him up, hands at the back, wrapped around the wood pole, which was standing on top of a pile of wood chunk. Sakura flowers were falling as the wind blew. It was his last chance to struggle for his survive, but he legs were weak. He could not even stand. All he could thought of was Kakashi and the time that they have spent together. "Kakashi… sensei…" he murmured, tearing his lips, as they were dried up.

Fire burnt rapidly. He could not see anything but grey smoke and the sakura petals, getting burnt into ashes as they left the tree chunk. Every image of his sensei, his lover swept across his mind. Everything, even the poems that he was forced to read.

If I fade away

Would you search for me?

If "someday" does not actually exist

Then would you still wait for me?

This time I'll hold you tightly

So we won't have to separate again

In your eyes I saw your heart reached out for me

Smoke was getting thicker and oxygen was getting thin. He felt tired and sleepy. It was the sign of the end. Once he slept, he would not be awake by his sensei again.

"Naruto!" the silver haired vampire screamed, in a way that was so out of his character.

Naruto smiled as he saw his love, even if it was just in his brain. The touch of his lover's skin was something that he would never forget. "Kashi…" he murmured, barely auditable. They were away from the fire; he never appreciated the freshness of the air. He held his lover's hand tight. "We'll always be together."

The vampire did not speak, but tightened his grasps. He was too late. He felt wrong for the whole day but did not know why. He tried to take care of his enemies as fast as he could, but the numbers of vampire hunters were more than they expected. He cursed the priests as he cleared his path. He wanted to curse the villagers surrounded him. He crumbled as he felt the last breathe left his lover.

Medusa's voice screamed and echoed. Kakashi's blood was boiling as his anger bubbled. "Kill," the woman shrieked in an unusual high pitch. "For his revenge. Kill. Them. All."

The absent of the Tsuki made him thought of his aniki and his mentor. But that did not shield him from his anger, as well as Medusa's. He drew out his remaining katana, and looked around dangerously, as the villagers surrounded him with their weapons.

"Lonely nights won't last forever, Naruto," he whispered, as he closed the blond's eyes. "Until we meet again and we'll always be together."

OoooO

The images were shaken and fade out as Medusa's scream echoed in their ear ducts. None of them spoke as they were recovering, settling their feelings down. The crystal ball turned into ashes as An summoned the hottest flame from hell, burning it down on his palm. "Not even I could bear this memory anymore…" the vampire leader whispered, "doesn't matter how much I try to forget, those moments where like flowers to me."
