Hello my peeps! i know i know it has been a very long time and i'm sorry. but i am back with a new chapter! hopefully you guys like this! and i would like to say welcome to my new followers. i am glad you guys like the story enough to follow (,: brings a tears to my eyes to see people like my story. and to those of you who have stayed and waited with me to post a new chapter i want to thank you for your patence. you guys are too kind. (: now then on with the story. i will try to not take as long as i have to update.

*Sess p.o.v.*
He was flicking the blood off of his claws. The spider demon was no match for him. Though he did manage to scratch Sesshomaru's left arm.
"You know killing demons and punching trees will solve nothing" came a voice from behind. It was his father Inutasho. "This doesn't concern you father" Sesshomaru said in an emotionless voice. "It does when something is bothering my own son. Or have you forgotten? Now tell me something son, what is she to you exactly? And do not lie to me."
The next thing that came out of Sesshomaru's mouth was no shock to hi m. "I think she may be the one." Sesshomaru said to Inutasho defeated.
"You know sometimes you are such pup." Inutasho laughed earning him a glare from Sesshomaru. "It's not as simple as you may think father." Sesshomaru said never letting up on his glare. "I know that son. I know everything. I'm not that oblivious to what is going on with both of my sons lives you know. I know it won't be easy. She has barriers that you will have to work hard to bring down as well as the other way around. But with time and patience I see you guys being very happy down the line. You both deserve it. She adores you son."
Sesshomaru decided to end the conversation and walked passed him without a word. He put the muzzle back on Ah-Un and got on him once again and told Ah-Un to head back home.
After they made it back to the barn and Ah-Un was safely back I the barn Sesshomaru headed inside the mansion to take a shower and get ready for their date.
But as he walked inside Inuyasha was saw him. "Dude! What happened? Why do you have blood on you?" he asked a little shocked to say the least. It not every day that his clean freak brother walk through the door covered in blood.
Sesshomaru simply ignored him and walked straight to his room. He then went to the bathroom and turned on the water. As the water warmed up he shed his clothes and then checked the water. When it was warm enough he walked under the stream of water and stood there for a while letting the water run down his chest and hair (oh yummy!). He was thinking about what he told his father. He truly believed that Rin was his mate. She made him feel things he had never felt before and he couldn't help but smile every time he thought about her.
After a few minutes he decided to just get ready for his date with Rin and just enjoy the moments he has coming with her.
After finishing his shower he wrapped a towel around his waist and walked out the bathroom to his room and to his closet. He decided on a pair of dark slacks and a white button up shirt with a dark h=jacket to match his pants. When he was ready he checked the time and the clock read 6:45. Knowing Kagome she was going to keep Rin until the last second. So he decided to go to the garage and play a song or two to pass the time. He felt the need to relieve some stress and music was his was of releasing some stress. It was times like this that he was glad they made the garage sound proof so none could hear him while he let himself go. He played a small note and his fingers knew exactly what his mind wanted to play.

After finishing the song he heard someone clapping at the door way. He looked up and it was Rin.
"Wow you know, I don't think I'll ever get use to your singing voice." At this comment the Great Lord Sesshomaru blushed. He tried to will it down but he couldn't stop it. He heard Rin giggle and he turned away from her in embarrassment and he ended up blushing even darker.
He slipped off his guitar and set it down. He then turned to look at Rin. He saw the top of her dress was heart shaped and the bottom flowed down to her knees. The dress was a baby blue color while she wore dark blue flats to match. She didn't have much make-up on except for eyeliner which made her amber brown eyes pop out. Her hair was in a bun in the back and she had two curls framing her face which went well with her bangs. And to top it off she had on clear lip gloss which made her full lips look absolutely inviting.
He then walked up to her and put an arm around her waist bringing her closer to him. "You look beautiful" he whispered in her ear resulting in her blushing.
"You know, you say you played at your old home and yet I've never seen you pick up the guitar or sing by the way. I think it's only fair I get to hear your gorgeous voice sing." Sesshomaru said innocently. Rin then stood on her tip toes and kissed him. "I'm not that great a singer, I wouldn't want you going deaf."
"With how beautiful you voice if normally I'm willing to beat your singing voice will be just as beautiful."
Rin blushed and looked down trying to hide her face.
"Well alright you asked for it. I'll sing a song I wrote." Rin let him go and picked up his guitar and strapped it on while Sesshomaru went to lean on the wall in front of her so he could watch her face. and she began to sing.
*Rin p.o.v.*

When she finished she was out of breath 'wow it's been a while since I've sang a song like that.' She thought as she tried to gain her breath back.
She had ended up closing her eyes sometime during the song let the words and rhythm flow out of her. When she opened her eyes Sesshomaru's expression was pure and total shock. "Um… Sess… are you ok?"
Rin then started to feel a bit self-conscious. 'Was I really that bad?' she thought to herself as she unstrapped the guitar to check on Sesshomaru. She honestly though she had never sounded better, but then again she wasn't the one with the super hearing.
Sesshomaru then blinked out of his stupor and wrapped an arm around her. "Oh my Kami Rin! I knew your voice would be good, but damn! I've never heard such an amazing voice!" Sesshomaru praised her and bent down to give her a whisper of a kiss.
"That was amazing Rin!" Kagome and Sango said at the same time while Miroku and Inuyasha clapped. Embarrassment wasn't enough to describe how she felt. They had both got so sucked into the music and each other that they didn't notice that everyone else had come and watched from the doorway. Then Rin remembered, she never closed the door when she came in. CRAP!
Just then Miroku came up to her, "You know, we could use a female singer in the band. We could have duets and, oh my gosh, it would be so much fun! What do you say?"
Rin didn't know what to say. She never thought in a million years she would be offered to join a band. But it shouldn't be so bad; it would just be to pass the time.
"Well? Why not? We can see if we can get a gig or two a month for starters. When we played the other day I realized how much we all drifted apart. I really want to relive the glory days. What you say?" Inuyasha interrupted with excitement written all over his face. Everyone then turned and looked at Rin all with bright eyes and huge smiles.
"Well why not. I would be fun." Rin finally came to the decision. Everyone cheered and hugged Rin. Rin felt so happy she was in tears. Sango then looked at Rin with a serious face. "Good. Maybe you have some better songs than what Inuyasha and Miroku have come up with. They made one called Gloryhole" she said as she glared daggers at the two guys responsible.
"Well I think it's a damn good song. Don't you think Miroku?" Inuyasha asked Miroku with crossed arms. "Hell yeah it is! Want to hear it Rin?" Miroku asked his eyes sparkling.
"We can show her later, I believe these two have a date. Right Rin Sesshomaru?" Kagome said clearly annoyed with Inuyasha and Miroku.
"Oh that's right! Come on Sesshomaru." Rin said as she pulled him out of the room. She was really looking forward to hearing the song, but she was more excited to go on her very first date more.
Sesshomaru then intertwined their fingers and lead Rin to the car. Sesshomaru opened the door for Rin where she blushed. When she got in he closed the door and headed to the driver's side and got in. he started the car, put it in drive and grabbed Rin's hand.
As they were headed to the restaurant they talked about music and what they could play at any future gigs and maybe sing together.
Just as they stopped at a red light Rin turned her head to relax in the seat, but what her eyes met with made her blood run cold. There was a man in a mask pointing a gun directly at her. After that everything felt as if it went in slow motion. She felt strong arm embrace her and she was pulled down just as there was a bang and the glass from the window shattered. After so many years of having things thrown at her and glass breaking from the impact of her being thrown through glass she went into autopilot and shut her mouth. She didn't scream back then because she didn't want to give her step-father the satisfaction of hearing her scream and yell in pain. After a few seconds, they felt like hours to Rin, she felt Sesshomaru let her go and saw him leave the car. She looked out the broken window and saw the man trying to run, but he was human so naturally Sesshomaru caught him. She saw Sesshomaru grab him by the neck and hold him in the air. His marks on his cheeks were jagged ad his eyes were red. His hair was also floating and his claws began to extend more threatening to pierce his throat. The fact that Sesshomaru was like this didn't upset or scare her. The thing was she didn't want him to hurt the man for fear of what they would do to him if he killed this man, even if he had tried to kill them just now.
So without a second thought Rin ran out of the car and ran straight into his back wrapping her arms around his waist. "Please Sesshomaru don't hurt him. I'm fine really. Nothing happened to me I'm ok. Look at me." At this point she was in tears. She really didn't want him to do anything rash.
She then noticed his markings go back to normal as well as his eyes. His hair had flowed down on top of her as well almost fully covering her but his claws remained long. His grip on the guys neck loosened but he didn't let go.
"Who sent you?" Sesshomaru asked the man. But he refused to answer. So Sesshomaru tightened his grip resulting in one of his claws breaking the skin on this neck. "I asked you a question." He all but growled at the man.
""Wheeze… it was …wheeze…" the man struggle to breathe. "Sess, atleast let him breathe to answer." She said as she looked around him still not willing to let go of his waist. She felt safe holding him and more so when she was covered by his hair.
Sesshomaru let his neck go but he held on to his shirt. "You better be glad she is so sympathetic. I would've killed you within the first 3 seconds. Now answer the damn question.
"It was my boss, Naraku. He was hired to do the dirty deed of killing that girl." He said as he pointed to Rin. "He sent me because it should be easy enough for me to do."
Rin could feel her heart threatening to pound right out of her chest. 'So now he wants me dead'
