Jiraiya raised his brow as he looked at the freshly dried words. He looked up, and gaze the vampire leader. "An-chan," he raised his doubt. "that's it?"
An withdrew his sight from the remaining two, who were talking about gardening, which was a topic really out of a blue moon, but then, they have the luxury to kill time in such strange way. "Turn your page, Jiraiya. Never write to the last line of a book. Always start fresh when the end is near."
Jiraiya turned as he was told and there, he found his answer. "Another endless journey," he grumbled, barely audible.
"Life is an endless journey, especially for us," An pet the silver haired man's shoulder gently. "There's hardly anyone who can solve Pein's pain. As his ex-mentor, I hope you can give the boy the aid that he is looking for, even without knowing it. He is one of the main puzzle piece in this world. We need to keep track of everything if it's possible."
"Right," Jiraiya closed his notebook. It has been awhile since he left the boys and girl behind. It is a good time to pay a visit to them. He stood up, patting his shirt flower petal free, and turned to the vampire for the last time. "When I will see you again, An chan?"
"The full moon after next," An replied crisply. "There's another story I want to tell you."
"Righty-ho," Jiraiya countered. "Senpai and Tsuki-san, off I go."
"See you later, Jiraiya-kun," Kazuhiko waved softly, as he sent off his kohai. Now, the issue is down with the Namikaze and the Sasaki.
An took out his pocket watch and opened the lit. "Shall we give them around half an hour or so?"
Kazuhiko looked at the falling sun to the West. "I suppose so, just pick them up around dinner. I think they would be hungry after a long day."
Tsuki raised his arms and stretched his torso. "I am off then, see you at dinner."
An sat on the tatami mat, crossed legged as he controlled his breathing pattern, as it was a small practice that he always takes time to complete everyday. Kazuhiko was out to the shops, getting the essentials that they need to make their way to the Kitsune. Now they only need to wait for the food to be deliver and the pair to wake up. Hormone were still strong in the air as he tried to push his thoughts aside, sorting the memories in an organised way.
Kakashi has woken up when the vampire leader began his exercise, as he leaked his presence, even though it was only a spilt second. He rolled in the futon as it was so nice and warm, especially when his lover lied next to him. "Naru," he murmured softly as he grasped the said man's hand. It's time to go, he knew. It's not the first time that he hoped the sun would not rise from the East; and it won't be the last time that he would make such hope. "Naru", he called again, moved even closer, with the man's arm touching his chest, wrapping his lover with one of his arms and legs. His chin rested softly on the man's soft blond hair.
"Kakashi," Naruto opened his eyes dreamy, looking at the pale arm on his chest. "You awake already?"
The vampire placed a soft perk on the man's forehead. "Nii-san is waiting. We need to make our way soon. Just that... I am not sure when I can see you again."
Naruto twisted his body as he asked, "can I come with you? I am not sure what Kurama has made with ji-san, but I don't think I will have a lot to do since I haven't heard anything since."
"Well..." Kakashi concluded, "let's have dinner first and I'll see whether we can convince them."
By the time they have cleaned and got dress, the vampire assistant and the Kyuubi have made their way back to the room.
"You sure you want to do that?" Kurama questioned when the silver haired vampire slid the door opened. The fox noticed and glad that he caught his lips. Instead of shouting, he murmured, "I am not sure that is the right risk to take. The old foxes may not provide the aid that you need, An."
"Let's go over this later when we have stuffed ourselves with the delicious food that the lodge provides, Kurama."
They didn't eat in silence, though the atmosphere wasn't cheerful. The food was nice and certainly, lightened their mood up. Kazuhiko usually didn't say much during meals, but as Naruto sat next to him, he told him the stories of their family that were forgotten as the time flows. The silver haired vampires' sights met, as they smiled warmly, looking at the men, feeling the eccentric relationship the men have carried in their blood.
"I know what you want to ask, Kashi-kun," An verbalised as he put down his soup bowl elegantly. "We are brining Naruto along, don't you worry, as Kurama is coming with us too."
"Hai," the fox countered. "There is an old friend near by, and it's a good chance to see him again. After master's death, I rarely see him around."
"A friend?" the younger vampire wondered what kind of friend the fox wants to visit, as there aren't many residence near the mountain that the kitsune live. It snows half of the time and barely got any vegetation. Except the vampires, even the priests and hunters go to the mountains seldom.
"Yamato will go directly to the mountain," An ignored his protege's question. "The story is ending, Kurama. We have to complete our tasks that are assigned to us without our acknowledgment. No matter how we dislike the assignments, the wheel of fortune is moving once again... It reminds me of the fall of the Babylon tower."
"You sounded like master more and more these years," Kurama sighed as he pour a large amount of sake into his mouth. "I kind of miss him."
