Part 2

With everything, Ranma Saotome—an extraordinary martial artist, adventurer, hero and so forth—saw himself as trying to anything LIKE his own father. To that end, one of the things Ranma has wanted to be was a good father to the many children he had sired over his long lifetime. For the most part, it has been a mixed blessing. Some of his kids proved to be extraordinary themselves, but, unfortunately, not in a positive way. In fact, a few of his own children have tried to kill him, never out of greed, purely out of a need to gain vengeance on him for some slight. Still, the positives outweigh the negatives of being a parent, although being a parent has never been easy…

On this day, a relative on Ranma's mother side had decided that it was time to see if Ranma was as virile as Ranma's mother, Nodoka, had boasted. Needless to say, Nodoka's father was not too happy upon learning this.

"Nodoka, you should not have done this," said Katsuhito, a local Shinto priest from Okayama Prefecture. "You do know how Seto is."

"Father, I wanted to make sure that my son is worthy to be a member of the House of Masaki," Nodoka said, as she accepted a cup of tea from her father. "That's why I went to Aunt Seto to gain the blessing of fertility from the goddess of Jurai."

"And it was a pleasure making it so," said Washu, aka the greatest scientific genius in the known Universe, as she walked by with a sandwich and soda in hand.

"I see," Katsuhito said. "I will say no more about this, but…I am surprised that you are willing to accept the idea that your son has many children."

"Genma didn't want more, so, I admit, I am living vicariously through my son's fruitfulness," Nodoka said with a shrug.

"And in that regard, is sounds like Ranma has succeeded," said Seto, as she walked into the room.

"Auntie, Good Morning," Nodoka said.

"Nodoka," Seto said with a nod. She then turned towards her step-grandson.

"Must you continue to wear that ridiculous 'shell'?" Seto said disapprovingly.

"Good Morning to you, too," Katsuhito replied. "I take it that your accommodations met with your approval?"

"They did not, but, for this mission, I am willing to compromise," Seto said, as she sits perpendicular to her relatives. She then turned towards Nodoka.

"So, when will Ranma show up with his children?" Seto asked.

"According to my son, he won't be showing up right away, but I believe that my granddaughters Natsume and Karumi will be the first to arrive," Nodoka replied. "And then, of course, Yugi is here already."

"So, she will be released from her slumber?" Seto asked with concerned.

"Actually, Yugi was released some time ago by her father, Ranma," Katsuhito said with a slight smile. "In fact, she will be going to college next year."

"Wait, so…Yugi is Masaki?"

"Yes."

"And…her mother?"

"My son is…closed, as to who the mother is," Nodoka said, as she sipped her tea. "All I know is that he is Yugi's father."

The truth of the matter was a lot more complex.

Back when Ranma was a full god, then known as Izanagi, he and other powerful beings across the Universe fought the menace known as Majin Buu. After the creature's defeat, Izanagi and a fellow warrior princess "hooked up" to celebrate the victory, before going their separate ways. Turned out that this "warrior woman" was the once and Hinase, who fought Buu for the honor of Jurai during this time of crisis. It was because of her political station on Jurai that Hinase's father forbade her from participating in the conflict. Sadly, it took the death of her father, and many of his best knights, that Hinase actively fought Majin Buu on the side of the Heroes of Light, in the name of her father. And it was during that time that Hinase met the legendary Izanagi, and was impressed by his skills and physical prowess.

Needless to say, a connection was made between Hinase and Izanagi...

Shortly after her return to Jurai, Hinase ceded her father as the newest ruler of Jurai. However, neither Izanagi nor Hinase knew that the other was Juraian. This resulted in the birth of a powerful child named Yugi, one so potentially powerful that she manifested her powers while still a child. In fact, Yugi would prove to be uncontrollable, frightening a populace that was still reeling from the Majin Buu affair. As a result, Hinase was forced to seal her daughter away, due to the fear that Yugi invoked. Shamed for what she had done by her family, Hinase covered up the truth with the lie that Yugi was an experiment intended to be used against Majin Buu, should he is released. Hinase would go on to rule Jurai for a long time, until she abdicated the throne herself for one of her sons, who was named Izanagi in honor of the man he once loved.

As for Yugi, it was only recently that Yugi was released from her confinement, and had her thoughts of revenge mollified thanks to the kindness of Ranma's cousin Tenchi.

"Nephew?" Seto asked.

"Ranma learned of Yugi's existence, and made it a point to see that the girl was allowed to have a full life," Katsuhito said. "And after learning what had happened to her, I agreed with his decision that Yugi were to be released, although 'limiters' were placed on her for the time being."

"Why was I not informed of this?" Seto asked Nodoka. "Did you do know any of this?"

"Not until recently, auntie," Nodoka replied.

"I do not know if I like the sound of that," Seto replied. "It is difficult as it is that I did not know that Ranma fathered children with a Kryptonian and a Tamaranian…"

"I would not worry about Yugi, Mother," Katsuhito replied. "And actually, Allura is still a toddler, and R'maind'r is a happily married woman who has settled down a bit."

"They are adorable," Nodoka replied.

"That's small comfort given their heritage," Seto said. "I remember the conflicts Jurai once had with the Kryptonians, from years before. And now, there is a new Krypton, right in this very star system. And you know how I feel about the Tamaranians, vis-à-vis the Citadel Empire."

"Well, you should be happy to know that my son and his 'Green Lantern' associates were able to mollify the people of the Vega Star System, after Ranma and their patron goddess X'Hal came to an…understanding," Nodoka said knowingly, as she sipped her tea.

"Which is an understatement," Seto said. "While I do not mind men wanting to sew their 'oats', Ranma is of the House of Masaki. I do not want to have our bloodline diluted, or have our power manifest in other species. I mean, can you imagine a Kryptonian or a Tamaranian manifesting 'Light Hawk Wings'? That power is the reason why Jurai has lasted this long."

"Well, for the record, none of my grandchildren have manifested Light Hawk Wings," Nodoka said. "As far as I know, only through a Juraian mother can the offspring manifest their own set."

"And speaking of which, what is Ranma's rating?" Katsuhito asked out of curiosity. "I know that you never manifested more than three wings."

"Well, as far as I know, Ranma can manifest six wings," Nodoka said proudly.

"SIX?" Seto asked. "That is how many Tenchi has manifested at one point."

"Hmmmm," Katsuhito said thoughtfully. "Perhaps both Tenchi and Ranma are able to do so due to their connection to the Chaosin? I do know that Tokimi chose Ranma as her heir, while Tsuanmi chose Tenchi as hers, while Washu chose Ryoko to be hers."

"As replacements, should the need to do so arise," Seto said with a nod. "It is unfortunate that the criminal 'Z' was merely used as a catalyst to awaken Tenchi's potential."

"That was never the case with my Ranma," Nodoka replied. "If there is one thing that I am proud of Genma doing, it is instilling my son with the ability to train in the martial arts on his own, and with great determination."

"Humph," Katsuhito replied. "I am still wondering how you managed to fall for such a…person."

"Father, we've been over this," Nodoka said tired.

"Just saying, my daughter…"

Meanwhile, two sisters are walking up the long stretch of road, which ran through Okayama Prefecture.

"Natsume, we should have more road trips like this," said the younger sister Karumi. She and her older sister were Ranma's kids by way of Akane, Ranma's first wife. The weird part was that the girls were born in a future timeline, but were forced to live in the past in order to avoid being murdered by one of their father's enemies, in the same manner that their mother Akane had been murdered. And it was only by chance that they had learned the family art from their perverted great-grandfather Happosai, and it was only by chance that the girls would meet younger versions of their real parents, even though it would be a while longer before the girls and their parents would reunite as a family again.

"I'll say," Natsume replied. "Between you and your culinary career, and me teaching martial arts, Women's Anything Goes, we hardly get to go out like this."

"What do you think great-grandfather's step-mother is like?" Karumi asked thoughtfully.

"No sure, but the way Father went on, Lady Seto sounds quite the character," Natsume said. "But I guess it's a family thing and all…"

As the girls walked along the walk way by the side of the road, an American muscle car, a Dodge charger, drives up. It was red, but had a blue back end with a series of white stars spread liberally on the blue.

"Natsume?" Karumi said with hesitance.

The person on the passenger side sticks out her head.

"Hey, you two," said Drusilla, as she spoke in an accented Japanese.

"Dru-chan?" Karumi said with a look of both surprise and happiness.

"Drusilla," Natsume said, as she and Karumi step forth and lean forward. "Diana."

"Natsume," Diana said with a nod. She wore a red tank top with a golden eagle pattern on it. She also wore blue daisy-duke cut-off jeans, as well as standard cowgirl boots.

"So, Dad invited you and Drusilla up, too?" Karumi asked.

"Yeah," Drusilla said. "Since Diana and I are here on business, Dad figured that we should meet his mother and her family."

"How many of us do you think are coming?" Natsume asked.

"Well, I do know that Father is making a special trip to North Korea to get Jang-Geum, as well as to Atlantis and Arcadia to get Mera and Moria respectively," Diana said. "So…who knows?"

"I wonder how many of us are there," Karumi said thoughtfully.

"Too many, if you ask me," Natsume said with a scoff.

"Natsume-!"

"What? I'm not the only one concerned that Father has had a lot of girlfriends over the years. I'm just saying."

"We can discuss this once we arrived at the Masaki Estate," Diana said. "You two want a lift?"

"Well…why not?" Karumi said.

"Alright," Natsume said, as Drusilla lets her half-sisters into Diana's car. "By the way, don't you fly or something? Especially with your invisible jet?"

"Jet's at the airport," Diana said, as she goes back onto the road. "Besides, I want to try out my new 'invisible car' on this trip…"

With a push of a button, the car turns completely invisible, save for the occupants.

"Wah!" Karumi said, as she clutched her sister Natsume.

"I had the same reaction when I first got into Diana's new car," Drusilla said jokingly.

"What I do not understand is…why are WE the only ones not invisible?" Natsume said.

"Not sure," Diana replied. "I could never figure THAT out when I had just the plane…"

And, with that, Diana and her sisters sped off down the road towards their destination, ocassionally creeping-out the locals.
