Chapter 11:The Other Person

My head's still spinning. I still can hear that damn voice, or perhaps it's just my own imagination.

'Proceed…'

Proceed? What's that mean?

'Pro...ceed…'

I can hear you, but what do you mean by that? And who are you? I try to speak with that voice, but that voice is ignoring me. I stand up from my bed and go outside. There's nobody outside.

"Toya? Chitose?"

No one answers. Man, where did they go? Didn't they leave any note for me? Or maybe they are taking a nap? I should take a try and so I knock Toya's door.

"Toya? Are you sleeping?"

Still… no answer. Suddenly, I feel that someone is standing behind my back. I look behind and for my surprise, a man I've never seen, came from nowhere. He doesn't look at me, maybe because he's too tall to realize there's a little man standing beside the corner of the door. He then enters Toya's room; he doesn't close back the door so I can see what exactly there.

The room doesn't has any 'Toya's style', but it does has a 'nerd's style'. The man opens his desk drawer, I can't see clearly enough what's inside, but I'm sure that is something shining on his hand. He then turns around, makes me startled and says,"Chitose, look! I save this for our new home."

I turn around my head to see a woman who looks exactly like Chitose. Her face is younger than the one I know. Her hair is shorter and looks chubbier. Although there are so many differences, but I know she's Chitose.

"Ah, Prim Rose's core!" she says. Her smile as beautiful as usual, but somehow it looks more cheerful.

"Let's take it to the lab." says the man while he walks to young Chitose.

Chitose giggles with happily and grabs the man's left arm. What on earth is happening now? Even, Chitose didn't realize that I'm standing beside her? Who's that man? And where's Toya?

I follow Chitose to a room which the man called it lab. They move really fast, I see them entered a room and it's just the room that I've never entered and I always try to enter. It's time! The secret room, I finally can see what inside. What I need to do is just open the door, enter it and open the other door inside. It sounds simple, but it's more difficult other than that. I must open the door really carefully, I don't want to make any distractive noises for them to turn around and see me sneaking around.

I'm trying so hard not to make any noise, as I know the door's knob will make irritating noises every time someone tries to open it rashly. I open it slowly and quietly and finally a bit of light. The light gives me courage to open the door wider. As I open it wider, there are standing Chitose and that man.

I'm surprise, but I don't make any move. Chitose who looks very happy and says, "Seiji, this home will make a perfect place for our research."

"Yes, it will be a nice and perfect house for our new days."

Chitose is dancing happily and she almost hit me. I close my eyes, ready to be hit by Chitose's slim body. After 5 seconds of waiting, I open my eyes and follow her giggling sounds right on behind me. It surprises me of course. When did she walk away? I didn't feel anything when she moved away, though I'm standing just exactly in front of the door. She couldn't pass through me like a ghost, right? Or perhaps, she is indeed a ghost?

Chitose and that man sit on the sofa at the living room. The living room is the same as I ever seen, nothing change, except there's no Toya and me play around.

"Seiji, do you think it is the best choice to live in here?" Chitose asks while she's on the man's arms.

"Yeah… It is…" The man hugs Chitose tightly, like he doesn't want Chitose to feel upset with his answer.

"Maybe… you're right…." Chitose closes her both green glowing eyes.

I approach Chitose and intend to rub her face to get her attention, but something different when I touch her pink cheek. My hand passes through her cheek and suddenly everything becomes transparent. My body feels very light, I'm flying! I yell Chitose's name but my voice can't come out. I fly and fly and I feel my body sweating a lot and there's no air to breath.

"GASP!" I open my eyes and I'm on my own bed now. Toya run and bumps into me, he is sweating a lot and his face looks panic.

"Are you alright?!" he asks me urgently.

"Yeah… I'm 'kay…" although my head still spinning, but I'd rather shut my mouth. I don't want Toya panicking even more than this.

I can hear a soft breath comes from his mouth, he relieves to hear that, and so do I, relieve to choose to keep quite. Even though, in fact, I want to scream and complain how hurt my head is.

"How about your wound? Does is still hurt? Man, you're scaring me. Your blood won't stop. Fortunately, I found a book about healing and read it at once. Fuh, it's good that I have my enchantment power. I just can stop the blood, but the wound is still need time to healing itself. My power now isn't enough for healing such a big wound of yours. I bet you want some drink. How about hot chocolate milk for you? You have lost so much of your blood; milk is the best choice for you now. Get rest after drink it, Okay?" Finished with his talk, he then goes outside. His 'speeches' are way too long for my spinning head. My head throbs several times, following his speaking rhythm.

Though, the throbs make me remember now, I was unconscious when trying to study enchantment. I got wounded back then. But I didn't feel hurt, up until now. I try to move my right arm; indeed it doesn't feel hurt at all. Maybe in fact, it should be very very hurt, but thanks for someone's genius brain that helped me with this wound. Just read the book once and immediately practice it on me, maybe he thought that I was his Guinea pig. Fortunately and of course, it's succeeded. Perhaps, he learnt enchantment from one of Chitose's books too. Is every ancient race supposed to be like him? Genius, handsome, perfect on everything except for his character.

"TARAA! One big glass of hot chocolate milk ready to serve."

"Oh, thanks, Pal.."

I drink it, it's very sweet. I bet he put about 6-7 tablespoons on this chocolate milk. But it's still makes me warm. Thank you, buddy.

"I've already repaired the broken box and the warehouse is all clean." Toya scratches his head, feeling uneasy.

"Woah, I thought you are afraid going alone there."

"I do. But I'm afraid Chitose found us and lock the warehouse." He must feel uneasy to recall the feeling of being haunted by his own imaginations. Hehe… ghost… It can't be such a thing… ….yeah, it can't be such a thing…

"Now, we must find a good reason to tell Chitose about your wound…", Toya tells me.

Now, that does remind me! It's not an ordinary wound if we tell her that I fell from bed. Silence fills my room, we think a perfect reason for my wound. But suddenly we hear a door open, it's from outside. Chitose's coming back!
