Chapter 9: Heroes part 2: For the people

Just want to let ya know that after this chapter, I'm going to not only start my Azure Rebellion side stories, but I'll also try and work on this MLP: FIM/Paper Mario 2 story I've been thinking about writing for some time now. And before anyone ask, yes. I'm a Brony. Ever since I've watched clips of the show(because I couldn't help but check the show out after I've seen a few Memes and fanart for said show)' I've started to become hooked to the show, but not in the way that I"m going to go and buy some merchandise for said show. Also, about that Gurren Lagann reference last chapter, let me make something clear people, it was just a small referance to the show! I apologize to those who noticed the reference and thought I was going to add the characters from Gurren Lagann into this story, but I"m not. Anyway...onto the disclaimer. I don't own anyone in this story, nor the Sonic the Hedgehog series, the Ben 10 series, and the Blazblue series. I do though own Haseo Yukimaru Sakurai the Hedgefox while Gammatron owns Roll Cyber Sakurai the Hedgefox.

"Any luck, Tails?" Sonic asked the twin tailed fox as he stood on the wing of the Tornado.

"Nope. I can't get a hold of anybody," Tails replied with a sigh, "I tried the Royal Military, Freedom HQ, Rotor, and Uncle Chuck. But like I said, I can't get a hold of anybody."

"Do you think maybe that female echidna from before sent out a EMP wave?" Rook asked as he piloted the Gale.

"Most likely, but I doubt that," Tails replied, "The force field set up around New Mobotropolis was designed to block all outside attacks, including EMP blast."

"I see...if that is true, then why can't you get a hold of anyone?" Rook asked the twin-tailed fox.

"I don't know...but we better hurry up before..." Tails began.

"Tails! Rook! Incoming EggSwats at 12 o'clock!" Amy yelled, pointing forwards from her seat in the Tornado.

"Huh?" Tails blinked as he looked forward before his eyes widened as he and Rook barely dodged the laser blast sent at them by a group of EggSwats with jets on their backs, "Woah!"

"Nani?-! Where'd they come from?-!" Makoto gasped.

"Don't know...but I bet that Lien-Da must've left these guys here to keep us from reaching the city," Ben guessed with a frown.

"If that's true, then we'd better hurry this up before both the Tornado and the Gale run out of fuel," Sonic stated as he glared at the EggSwats flying before the two planes.

Meanwhile, back at New Mobotropolis, the Death Egg 2 was still attacking the city. Or would be if it weren't for the force field keeping the EggSwats and Death Egg 2 from getting inside.

-Orders sir? This is a family reunion I'd prefer to avoid- Heavy asked Rotor as he looked up at the Death Egg 2.

"Stand by for now, Heavy," Rotor ordered as he entered a few commands on the device on his wrist, "If Nicole were still online, I wouldn't have to do this manually. But still..." he paused as he looked up at the farce field protecting the city, "I'm glad we still have the force field."

"Mistress Lien-Da, we're having trouble getting past the force field surrounding the city," a Dark Egg Legionnaire stated, "What course of action should we take?"

"We do nothing yet," the female echidna replied before a dark grin grew on her face, "If my guess is right, the gift Eggman left after our last attack on New Mobotropolis should be taking care of the force field...right about..."

Outside the Death Egg 2, the force field surrounding the city started to crack.

"Wh...what?" Rotor eyes widened in horror as the force field shattered into millions of pieces, "N...no way...h...how did...?"

-Sir! Incoming EggPods!- Heavy shouted as he pointed up towards the Death Egg 2, which was releasing dozens of EggPods filled with EggSwats, 3 of which landed right in front of Rotor's team.

"R...right. Team Freedom...Push them out of the city!" Rotor declared as he and his team took on the EggSwats that popped out of the EggPods.

Meanwhile, at the outskirts of the city, Leeta and Larry were leading Elias to a hidden groove.

"And to think we were worried about how to sneak into the city," Leeta joked a bit.

"Thank the Walkers for small favors," Elias sighed in relief as he looked around the area, "Where's Secret HQ?"

"We've set up a network of hidden entrances throughout the city," Leeta replied as she stopped in front of a large tree with a hole in it, "Follow me."

With that, Leeta slid right into the hole with Elias and Larry following behind. They slid through a series of connecting tunnels underneath the city before they appeared before a large, metal door.

"...I take it this is the place?" Elias asked the female wolf.

"Yes," Leeta nodded as she and Larry pushed open the metal door, revealing Director Harvey Who, who was standing not too far from the doorway leading inside, "Escort complete, Director Who."

"Excellent work," Harevy nodded as he looked over at Elias, "Good to see you made it here in one piece, Sire."

"I left Feral Forest to a Badnik invasion," Elias stated as Leeta and Larry walked over to the side, "Please tell me you've got some good news, Harvey."

"The best possible news, Sire. You're team is assembled," Harvey answered as he motioned to Leeta and her sister, the latter wearing a black and blue version of her outfit, "Leeta and Lyco. Twin agents of the Wolf Pack Nation, and two of the finest, young warriors on Mobius," he then motioned to a saluting Larry, "Larry Lynx. And Ex-Freedom Fighter with a luck bending aura. His Super Jynx can turn any situation against our enemies," he then motioned to the gold and black Metal Sonic from chapter 5, the robotic hedgehog leaning against a chair, "Shard, the original Metal Sonic repurposed for our cause. Needless to say, his power bolsters our power ten-fold."

-Yo- the robotic hedgehog smirked a bit at Elias.

"And Silver, out time-traveling, psychic power house," Hervey finished as he motioned to a familiar silver hedgehog, who was wearing a resized black and cyan version of Larry's outfit, "What Shard can't handle, Silver most certainly can."

"..." Elias looked at the 5 assembled before him before he turned towards Harvey Who, "Are you crazy?"

"Hmm?" Harvey raised an eyebrow at the squirrel/chipmunk's remark.

"Larry aside, none of these have any vested interest in the republic. What gives Harvey?" Elias asked.

-This doesn't bode well- Shard noted to him as Silver and Larry had a worried look on their faces while Leeta and Lyco seemed offended by the remark.

"..." Harvey sighed a bit before giving Elias a frown, "Now you listen to me. Sonic and his team are currently far away, and Rotor and his team can't fight Naugus legally. These young heroes came from all over to stop his evil before it spreads. They're willing to leave their normal lives adn fight the fight nobody else can or will. The only question left is...are you?"

"..." Elias stayed quiet for a few moments, taking in the words Harvey told him. What the Owl Mobian was true. If Naugus were left unchecked, he could easily throw Mobius into chaos and could cause a World War between the countries on said planet. With a deep breath, Elias gained a determined look on his face as he turned towards his team, "Alright team. I'm late to the party, and the city's under attack. Give me the crash course, because we've got EggSwats to fight!"

"That is good to hear, Sire. But before you and your team leave, I have anannouncment to make," Harvey stated, catching everyone's attention, "You see...I was able to get three more members for the team."

"Huh?" Elias and the others blinked at that.

"Hold on...I thought you said my team was complete," Elias said to the owl.

"True, but let me explain, Sire," Harvey replied, "You see, while Leeta and young Larry were out escorting you to the city, I had received a rather interesting signal on the lab's computer and decided to find out who was sending it. When I did, I had a rather...intresting individual with a rather..." he paused as he cleared his throat, "Colorful mouth. Anyway, after a few explanations, she's agreed to send three people to assist us. But in exchange...you and your team will have to help her out with a few things once Naugus has been dealt with."

"...What kind of things? And who's this individual?" Elias asked with a frown.

"That Sire, is something I'm not allowed to reveal yet. But I assure you, the three people she's sending will be a great asset in the battle against Naugus," Harvey replied as he took out a pocket watch and opened it, "And as for those three I mentioned, they should be arriving right about...now."

Elias and the others were confused by that statement before an empty part of the lab began to ripple, almost as if something was going to appear as electricity crackled around the empty area. After a few more moments of silence, a portal appeared, azure colored electricity crackling around it before it dropped off 3 figures and dissapeared.

"Wh...what?-!" Elias gasped as he quickly turned to face Harvey, "Harvey! Why...?"

"I'll explain later Sire. You better suit up and go help protect the city," Harvey stated as he looked at the three figures, "After I talk with these three, they'll be joining you all shortly."

"...O...okay," Elias nodded as he ran into one of the empty rooms to suit up before he came back out, wearing a black and red version of Silver's outift, "Alright...let's go team," he stated as he ran off and left through the metal door with Leeta, Lyco, Shard, Larry, and Silver following behind, the former king of New Mobotropolis looking back at Harvey real quick while thinking, 'I hope you know what you're doing, Harvey.'

"Now then, I'm going to ask you a quick question before you head out and help the former King and his team. Is that okay?" he asked the three figures, who nodded in response, "Excellent. Now then...I take it Kokonoe explained the situation before she sent you here, right?" he asked the figures again earning another nod in response, "Excellent. Now..let's get you three suited up and prepared for battle. Shall we?"

"Eek!" Cream yelped as she and Cheese quickly ducked under a barrage of lasers fired by a couple of EggSwats.

"That's not very nice!" Big yelled as he ran up and delivered a hard punch to the EggSwats, destroying them.

"Thank you, mister Big," Cream thanked the large, purple cat.

"You're welcome," Big replied as Rotor few over to the two and landed right next to them.

"Cream, this is is getting to be too much for you," the walrus stated to the young rabbit.

"I'm sorry for being scared, mister Rotor, but I still want to help," Cream replied.

"And you can. I want you to start guiding citizens to the center of the city where teh military's setting up defences," Rotor ordered.

"Yes sir! You can count on me!" Cream saluted as she started to flap her ears and began to fly to anotehr part of the city, "Come on, Cheese!"

"Chao, chao!" Cheese saluted as he followed after her.

'Be careful, Cream,' Rotor thought before he noticed a certain, power hungry wizard/king walk up to him, causing the walrus to frown "Can I help you, Sire?"

"Quite the opposite. I'm here to save you," Naugus replied as he pushed Rotor out of the way and fired a huge blast of energy from the Chaos Emerald on his staff, turning most of the EggSwats in the area into crystals, "Behold the magical might of your wizard-king! Bow before the power of Ixis Naugus! HHHHHHHA-HA-HA-HA!-!-!"

'How pathetic...'a voice mocked in Naugus' head, causing the wizard/king to stop his maniacle laughter and frown, 'You waste your power, braggart!'

'Such needless grandstanding!' a second voice scoffed inside Naugus' head.

'No showmanship! No finesse!' a third voice added.

'Peh! Your petty taunts cannot distract me from my moment of victory!' Naugus mentally snapped at the voices in his head.

'No? Then how about now?' the third voice asked.

"Wh...ARG!" Naugus grunted in pain as demonic, lobster claws started to grow out the sides of his torso, 'H...how are you doing this?-!'

'Us? We're just spirits trapped inside your mutating shell,' the second voiced stated darkly.

'Did you think our return was the only change you'd experiance after the doctor's attack while playing with Chaos Energy?' the first voice pointed out as two more, demonic lobster claws started to grow out the sides of Naugus'...well, claw, causing the wizard-king to collapse on the ground, holding his limb in pain as he dropped his staff.

"Naugus!" Rotor gasped as ran up to him, "Are you okay?"

"Hhnnnng..." Naugus grunted in response.

"Look, you made your point. You're good against the Badniks. If you're waiting for me to say it...fine. We could use your help," Rotor stated to Naugus as the wizard-king managed to pull his head up.

"It's...It's...the doctor! He must be...sending a wave to...vex me!" Naugus grunted, his voice switching between his regular voice to a distorted, demonic one for a few second.

"...I guess not saving you would be treason," Rotor muttered to himself as he blasted a pair of EggSwats that were attempting to sneak up from behind, "Team! Fall back to me!"

'Tch! Saved by the fat walrus...'the second voice in Naugus' head scoffed.

'And such a pathetic lie too...' the first voice added with a frown.

'The three of us combined to make you? Disgraceful,' the third voice added.

"Big, get Naugus to the military's perimeter, then come back here," Rotor ordered Big as he, Heavy, and Bomb ran over to the walrus.

"Okay!" Big nodded as he picked up Naugus and carried him off.

-Should we not fall back as well?- Heavy asked the walrus -Our numbers dwindle while teh enemies' do not-

"No. I want Eggman to fight for every inch he gains in my city," Rotor replied, "Besides, you and Bomb were in the Chaotix once. Where's that 'take-all-challengers-' attitude?"

-...my apologies...but...- Heavy began with a sigh -After facing total destruction twice, I fear that...as the expression goes, the third times the charm-

"Not on my watch," Rotor stated as he blasted a couple of incoming EggSwats with the blasters on the wrist of his suit, "I got your back!"

-Illogically..that platitude is reassuring...- Heavy noted as he grabbed Bomb and leapt into the air -Very well. Once into the fray then!-

-Ping!- Bomb nodded as Heavy tossed him into an EggSwats, destroying it upon impact while Heavy crushed the other EggSwat with his weight.

"This way everyone! Please follow me!" Cream called out as she lead most of New Mobotropolis' citizens behind a barricade set up by the cities military, "Right in here, please."

-Rotor, and advisement...we're being surrounded Heavy stated as he and Bomb destroyed more EggSwats.

"That's what they think!" Rotor declared as he fired a barrage of lasers at a group of EggSwats, destroying a few of them in the process, "Big should be back any minute now!"

just as the walrus stated, Big came rushing back in, plowing through the EggSwats.

"Sorry. That was a long way to run," the cat stated as he rejoing Rotor, Heavy, and Bomb, "Long way to run back too."

"Big! You, Heavy and Bomb take the EggSwats on the left! I'll take the ones on the right!" Rotor ordered as he fired more lasers at the EggSwats.

"Okay!" Big nodded as he, Heavy, and Bomb charged at the EggSwats.

"What the hell's going on?!" Lien-Da demanded as she turned to one of the Dark Egg Legionnaires, "You! What's the Damage report?-!

"Uh...n..none, mistress. Most of the invasion force is being pushed back by those 4," the Legionnaire replied as he pointed to a screen showing Rotor, Big, Heavy, and Bomb fighting the EggSwats.

"What?! Son of a bitch!" Lien-Da growled as she slammed her fist down on the arm rest of her chair, "I can't belive this is happening.

"Uh...Mistress Lien-Da?" a Dark Egg Legionnaire spoke.

"What?!"

"Um...we're about to receive a signal from Master Eggman," the Legionnaire replied with a whimper.

"...Damn it...patch him through," Lien-Da sighed in annoyence, 'Damn it...I was hoping we could do this before that fatass found out.'

"Y..y...yes mistress..." the Legionnaire nodded as he entered a few commands on one of the ship's computers, causing one of the screens to change to show a certain, egg-shaped doctor.

-Greetings Lien-Da. I just wanted to say that I'll be arriving shortly...but I noticed something- Eggman stated with a nuetral look, yet Lien-Da could tell that he looked like he was ready to explode in anger any moment now.

"...And that is, sir?" the female echidna asked.

-I noticed you have the DeathEgg2 attacking New Mobotropolis right now. I would've told you that you're doing a great job...but I happen to ntice a little something. Do you know what that is...Lien-Da?- Eggman asked the female echidna.

"...No sir...what is it?" Lien-Da asked as she grabbed onto the nearest console.

-MY EGGSWATS BEING PUSHED BACK!-!-! I DEMAND YOU TELL ME WHAT'S GOING ON DOWN THERE THIS INSTANT!- Eggman roared in pure anger, causing most of the Dark Egg Legionnaires in the room to be blown back by the loud noise -AND WHERE'S MECHA-SALLY?-! DON'T TELL ME YOU ALREADY LOST HER TO THAT BLUE PEST ALREADY?-! HAVE YOU?-

"No sir," Lien-Da replied, starting to get a little angry herself, "I had sent her on a mission to have her kill her brother, which pretty much distracted Sonic and his team long enough for us to attack New Mobotropolis. I even sent Silver Sonic to keep that blue rat busy while Mecha-Sally did her job, but we lost contact with it a few hours ago."

-...Do you have any of the data Silver Sonic collected before you lost contact?- Eggman demanded with a frown.

"Luckily yes. I"ll show you the video right now," Lien-Da replied as she entered a few commands on the console in front of her before a large holographic video showing Silver Sonic's battle (from the robotic hedgehog's point of view) appeared before the screen showing Eggman.

-Grr...That darn hedge...- Eggman began before he noticed Roll and Yacker, the Wisp turning into his Drill Wisp form and went into her Swiss Army Knife, transforming it, -N...no way...-

"Hmm? What is it s..." Lien-Da began.

-A...A WISP! I...I thought those were a myth!- Eggman gawked with his jaw dropped -Lien-Da! After you've sent out Team Metal to deal with those pest down there, I want you to inform every chapter of the Dark Egg Legion to keep their eyes out for that Wisp, and capture it at all cost!-

"O...Okay sir. But...what about that?" Lien-Da asked as she pointed to the video, which showed Bloxx and Makoto blindsiding Silver Sonic.

-...Just for...- Eggman began before he noticed Bloxx' ablilties -Hmm...regeneration and the ability to morph into anything...intresting...but it's no Wisp.-

"Sir...that creature is obviously Ben Tennyson . I mean, he's got the same symbol on his chest like those other creatures I've showed you before. We have to do something about him before..."

-No. We Don't have to talk about anything aside from the Wisp- Eggman stated, "While that boy is almost as annoying as Sonic, he's not a big threat to me-

"What?-! But sir! We...!" Lien-Da began.

-End of discussion...- Eggman stated as he cut communications.

"..." Lien-Da stood thier, her fist starting to clench and shake in anger.

"Uh...Mistress..." a Legionnaire spoke as he approached the livid echidna, "Are you o...?"

"Go and send out Team Metal..." Lien-Da stated quietly before snapping in anger as she held her hand out, summoning a electric, energy whip and cracked it at the Legionnaire, "NOW!"

"Y...Yes Mistress!" the Legionnaire yelped as he ran out, yelping as Lien-Da cracked her whip at him.

"The rest of you...LEAVE NOW!" Lien-Da roared, causing the other Legionnaires to run out of the room, scared of the livid echidna right now, "That god damn, fucking idiot! Doesn't he know a threat when he sees one?-! This is why he always, fucking loses! He always underestimates his opponents, especially that blue rat, Sonic! Every fucking time he's close to beating him, that fucking idiot Eggman let's him live! I really wish I could beat some sense into that moron! But thanks to that bomb inside me, I can't! As soon as me and my Legionnaires have our own chapter set up...I'm done with him...I'M FUCKING DONE WITH THAT IDIOT!" She then heard a small whimper as she looked over at a Legionnaire,. who was doing a poor job hiding behind a chair, "YOU! Bring me something to drink, some headache powder, and a ice pack this instant!"

"Y...yes Mistress!" The Legionnaire yelped as he ran out of the room.

"Good...because I need something to deal with this huge, fucking headache," Lien-Da groaned as she sat down, rubbing her throbbing head.

-Sir! New enemy contacts inbound!- Heavy stated as he and Bomb pointed up to four figures coming out from below the DeathEgg2.

-Ping!-

"...Oh boy..." Rotor paled when he saw Metal Sonic, Metal Tails, Metal Knuckles, and a robotic version of Amy flying towards them, "Those are from the Metal Series," He then called out to his team as he prepared himself for battle, "Rotor to team. We have to focus on the Metal Series. They're the biggest threat right now."

-Affirmative. But what of the EggSwats?- Heavy asked.

"We held them back as long as we could. It's up to the military now..." Rotor stated.

"Fire at will! Don't let them get any closer!" a Mobian bear wearing a military uniform ordered as he and a few more Mobian bears dressed up like him fired their blasters at the EggSwats from behind the barricade they've set up.

"Yes sir!" the soldiers saluted as they continued to fire at the EggSwats before a black and gold blur shot right through and destroyed all the attacking EggSwats before anyone could blink.

"...Uh...nice shot?" one of the soldiers blinked in confusion as he looked at his comrade.

"Thank?" the other soldier blinked in confusion.

"Agh!" Rotor grunted in pain as he was punched in the face by Metal Tails while Metal Sonic, Metal Amy, and Metal Knuckles flew by them, "guys! Three are headed your way!"

On the ground, a lone EggSwat was about to fire at Rotor before a certain, female wolf snuck up from behind and tripped it while her sister destroyed the head.

"Come on...blow a fuse. Trip, random battery failure...something," Larry whispered to himself, hiding behind a set of bushes as two EggSwats walked by before the 2nd one shot the first one in the back, "Yes! Mis-fire!" He then peeked out and saw the EggSwat's gun explode, along with robot itself, "And then a gun jam! Yes! Two for the Super Jynx!"

"I stopped one!" Big yelled as he held Metal Amy back, only to be sent back by the female hedgehog as her hands turned into hammers, "Ow! That hurt! You're mean!"

-Prepare to engage Metal Sonic- Heavy said as the robotic hedgehog flew towards him and Bomb -Just like old times-

-Ping!- Ping nodded in agreement.

Metal Sonic was about to attack them before he was intercepted by a gold and black blur, sending him flying in another direction as the blur followed.

-...Well...that was intresting. Something intercepted our target- Heavy noted as he looked at direction the blur went off in -My sensors could not register it fast enough. Who was that exactly?-

-Ping ping!- Bomb shook a fist at the sky.

-Watch your language while we're on the job- Heavy scolded the smaller robot.

-Hey there junior! Let me show you what a real Metal Sonic can do- the black and gold blue, which turned out to be Shard, grinned as he jammed his blaster into Metal Sonic's face and fired, destroying most of Metal Sonic's face as he was sent crashing into the ground -Yeah...accept no imitations-

Metal Amy was about to strike at Big again before she was covered an a strange energy that locked her in place before she sent flying into the air. The pink, robotic hedgehog tried to regain control before a arrow was shot into her chest, causing her to explode.

"...Huh?" Big blinked in confusion, not noticing Elias and Silver standing on the roof top a few feet from him before they ran off in another direction.

Metal Tails was about to strike Rotor, the walrus shielding himself from the metal fox' attack, before a flurry of energy bullets and spheres of magenta colored energy hit him multiple times before the robotic fox exploded.

Rotor blinked in confusion a bit, unaware of the two, female figures hidden in the trees before they disappeared.

Metal Knuckles looked around, trying to find anyone he could get his claws on before someone tapped him on the shoulder, causing the metal echidna to turn around. Big mistake on his part as a fist that was covered in the same metal as Metal Knuckles, smashed hard into the metal echidna's face, destroying him.

The owner of the fist smirked at his work a bit before he ran off in another direction just as a few of the city's military came rushing in from the side.

"Um...M...mistress?" a Legionnaire spoke, catching Lien-Da's attention as she held a ice pack on her head, "Um...I...I got some bad news."

"Ugh...great. What is it now?" the female echidna asked with a sigh.

"W...well...Team Metal is offline," the Legionnaire whimpered, "Amd...and we just received a report from Mecha-Sally, stating that she had failed her mission and is returning home."

"...God...fucking...DAMN IT!" Lien-Da roared in anger as she slammed a fist down on her chair, "I can't fucking believe this! Everything was going okay after what happened to the Princess, but that fucking blue rat had to screw everything up! And to make matters worse..." she groaned as she leaned back into her chair, holding the ice pack on her head, "I'm going to have to hear Eggman complain again..."

"Um...M-Mistress? Wh...what should we do now?" the Legionnaire asked, flinching as he was afraid of the livid, female echidna right now.

"Call back any remaining EggSwats. We're going to have to retreat..." the Female echidna ordered with a sigh.

"At...at once, Mistress Lien-Da," the Legionnaire nodded.

"Look!" Cream spoke as she pointed towards the DeathEgg 2, which started to fly off in another direction while the few, remaining EggSwats began to fly towards it, "The DeathEgg and EggSwats are leaving! We won! Hooray!"

"We did it! Way to go team," Rotor said with a sigh of relief, "But still...something..."

-Hello? Rotor, do you come in? Over- a certain, twin-tailed fox called from the walrus' communicator.

"Huh?" Rotor blinked as he activated the communicator in his helmet, "Tails? Is that you?"

-Finally! I got a hold of you! Is everything alright on your end?- Tails asked.

"Yes. The DeathEgg 2 is retreating, and most of the EggSwats have been taken out," Rotor replied.

-Awsome! Never had any doubt you could do it, Roter- Sonic commented in the background.

"Thanks. But...to tell you the truth, we weren't the ones who chased away the EggSwats and DeathEgg," Rotor admitted.

-Huh? What do you mean by that, Rotor?- Tails asked.

"Well...I don't know how...but someone, or something took out both the ground forces, and Team Metal," Rotor explained, "Did Sonic happen to leave another team here? One that we don't know about?"

-Um...I didn't leave another team there, Rotor,- Sonic replied as he took over the communicator for a bit -We'll probably look into this once we're back at HQ. We need to refuel before we can catch up to the DeathEgg-

"Right. See ya when ya guys get back," Rotor said.

-Same here, Rotor- Sonic replied as communications went off.

'Still...something doesn't seem right...and Tails said he finally got a hold of me...what did he mean by that?' Rotor thought to himself, unaware of a certain, stuffed fox looking from the bushes behind him and his team, the doll's eyes and antennae glowing a sinister red for a bit.

"Welcome back, your Majesty," Harvey stated as Elias and his team came into the room, "I take it the mission was a success?"

"Yes it was," Elias nodded as he looked at the owl Mobian, "It looks like I owe you an apology, Harvey."

"It's okay, your Majesty," Harvey nodded in response.

"..." Elias nodded as he turned towards his team, "And to the rest of you...I was wrong. You have the makings of a great team, and I'm proud to be among you."

-Same here, dude- Shard grinned before he and the others noticed a few people missing -Hey...where'd those three new comers go?-

"I'm a bit curious as well..." Elias added as he looked at Harvey, "I was hoping to say something to them."

"They went to report to the Professor and tell her that the 1st mission was a success," Harvey replied before Shard could finish.

"I se...wait. Who's the Professor?" Elias couldn't help but ask.

"...That my Majesty...is something I'll explain another time," Harvey stated as he began to walked away, "But for now...get some rest."

Elias was now a bit curious. Just who was this 'Professor' Harvey mentioned, and why does he want to keep her a secret? perhaps when he got the chance, Elias could talk to Harvey about this subject. But for now, he decided to go to one of the spare rooms to take a quick rest before the next mission.

"HISSSSS...My thoughts betray me...my body betrays me...the council defies me..." Naugus stated to himself as he rested in a dark room, his voice switching between his normal voice and a distorted, demonic one with each passing second as he face started to become more demonic, "Something drastic must be done...soon!"

Seanzilla115: Oh dear...looks like Naugus is up to something...something dark by the looks of it. But what's wierd is that he's mutating. But into what exactly? Will Elias and his team be able to stop Naugus? Who're the mysterious new comers to Elias' team? And who exactly is this Professor Harvey Who's talking about? well...all that will be revealed in the first 4 chapters of Azure Side Stories!
