Chapter 18: Malware Imminent
SZ:*puts in the last piece of wall*ahh..there! after the tornadoes that are Pinkie Pie and Warai, I've fixed this place back up.
Z0: Luckily this place is built to just be put back together and fix itself.
SZ: Yes it...wait what? It...fixes...itself?
Z0: Once you put the wall back up that is. You'd be surprised the number of things I steal from the world of Comic books.
GammaTron: *discreetly walks away from his finished work on fixing the 4th wall*
SZ: I..I see...ahem. Anyway..*turns to the reader*hey again minna, it's Seanzilla115.
Z0: and special co-writer Kamen Rider ZER0.
GT: And the guy who normally has to fix that dang 4th wall, GammaTron.
SZ: And if you all remember, a LOT of stuff went down last chapter.
Z0: Indeed.
GT: I forgot.
SZ: Yea. The Zeti managed to get a hold of Shard, Nicole, and even Ben while he was Upgrade!
Z0: Which when you think about it was a surprisingly smart move on their part.
SZ: Yea.. The people who made Sonic Lost World pretty much underused the Zeti's ability to control mechanical and electronic stuff.
Z0: And turning into Upgrade was sort of a universal bad move in a way. Way to go again Omnitrix. Wait. That's a piece of tech...does that mean…
SZ: oh...crapbaskets…
GT: Technically, the Omnitrix didn't do it. Ben did it because Azmuth made the new Omnitrix not do that, so it's Ben to blame.
Z0: Well lets just hope they don't figure out how to make it so they can keep Upgrade as their new personal super lackey.
SZ: Yea...but in any case, let's move onto the disclaimers.
Z0: Right, as with all stories you guys read, we don't have any claim in ownership of the franchises used in this story. So...you know don't sue us.
SZ:*grints teeth after hearing the word 'sue*Yes...GammaTron owns Roll Cyber Sakurai the Hedgefox while I own Haseo Yukimaru Sakurai.
Z0: Indeed he does, and I forgot the 'S' word is Sean's trigger word. But lets not rehash that anymore. On to the story.
SZ: Yes...but one more thing. the 'Instruct me Magister Tennyson omake will be put on hold until this whole mess is straightened out. So..without further delay...Z0?
Z0: Right lets pick things up where it left off last time and...action.
Tsubaki grunted as she struggled to free herself from newly dubbed Zen's grip, the formerly black and green colored creature continued to apply pressure via his oversized hands a noticeable 'grin' of sorts forming around where his face would be.
=Heh. This is too fun! But..I don't want to break my new t-gah!= Zen yelped as he let go of Tsubaki,who had her sword out as she dropped to the ground coughing =Freaking bitch!= he groaned as he held up his hand. =How the heck did that even hurt?!= he asked wondering how his malleable body was damaged.
He was about to try and grab Tsubaki once more before the crimson red head slammed her shield into his face, making him wince a bit as she ran.
"Hey! Get back ya…!" Zazz began before Zavok stop him.
"No..let her go," the red Zeti ordered as he glanced at the 'frowning' Zen as he rubbed his face a bit, "We got who we came for," he explained as Zazz growled in annoyance. "Zen, we are leaving."
=Right, boss= Zen nodded as he followed after the Zeti.
Back with Sonic and the others, the hedgehog was trying to get ahold of Amy once more with Tails's device, but received no luck still.
"Great. The worse time to not get service on this thing," he complained, about ready to snap the device over his knee with how annoyed he was with the lack of signal.
"It's no use, Sonic. With the Zeti having taken control of all my devices, it's impossible to get a signal," Eggman stated as he was busy working on attaching Cubot to something.
"Ah...I'm really hating these Zeti jerks." Sonic sighed as he put Tails's device away, "Alright. Well so I can feel better about this whole thing, is there some way to you know block their control?" Sonic asked.
"...Didn't Eggman already explain, Sonic? We have to beat them in order to knock their control on Eggman's devices, not to mention Nicole," Tails pointed out.
"...Oh yeah," Sonic recalled before frowning a bit, "Ah...man. Like I said, they're annoying. It pretty much makes it so no form of tech works on them. Even I have to admit that makes it a bit tough for several things." he added.
"Hai," Roll nodded in agreement before her eyes widened a bit in realization, "Wait. Since they can control tech, would that mean tha-?"
"Please tell me we didn't all just come to the same realization?" Sonic asked as his face paled slightly.
"I think we did…" Tails replied with a slight pale.
"...Hoo man...we'd better…" Makoto began before a wall of 'ice' suddenly formed in front of the group before a screen popped up, showing Zavok and Zazz.
"You!" Eggman growled.
-Heh...Your efforts are slightly impressive, little hedgehog...sadly...they mean nothing at this point- Zavok stated smugly.
"What's that suppose to mean?" Sonic asked with a glare.
-You see, we've gained a new ally...one you knew quite well- Zavok replied, -Zen, mind coming out a..?-
=Hey kids! Want to see a dead body?!= Zen cackled as half his body rose from the ground, scaring both Cubot and Orbot as the two bots screamed.
"..STOP YOUR SCREAMING!" Eggman ordered, making the two robots whimper.
"No...way." Sonic whispered as he saw Zen.
"B...Ben?" Makoto whispered.
=Nope. it's Zen now, toots= Zen chuckled in a near insane manner as he got the rest of his body out the ground.
"No way. They mind controlled Ben as Upgrade!" Tails gasped, "Got to say, that's scary."
-Yeah! Fun aint it?!- Zazz cackled till Zavok stopped him, the red Zeti turning his attention to Eggman.
-I must admit doctor, while some of your inventions are stupidly named, they are a bit impressive. If I'm being generous that is. But with our newest recruit, even the most idiotic of your toys is now the deadliest of weapons-
"Grr….!" Eggman growled as he glared at the Zeti.
-And as for your invention...we're putting it to good use. With it, we get stronger and stronger as we leech the life from your dying world- Zavok grinned darkly -So in a way, I feel I should thank you doctor, while your idiocy was annoying, all that time gritting my teeth has payed off. So feel honored that at least one of your toys has been put to good use-
-Hahahaha! Yeah! ...oh wait…- Zazz 'gasped'- Where are you guys gonna live once your worlds dead? ...oh right! You'll be dead too! GAHAHAHAHA! TOO BAD FOR YOU! HEHEHEHEHEHEHEEHEH!- the mad Zeti cackled as he fell to the ground in his fit of hysteria.
"Grr...I'll burn your worlds, you rebellious scum!" Eggman snapped as he walked up to the screen, "i'll destroy everything you love and make you watch! I'll..I'll...I'll...Gh! GRAAAHHH!" he roared as he punched the wall of 'ice', shattering it. The Wall and the video feed now gone with that.
"Feeling better?" Sonic asked.
"Y...yes…" Eggman panted as he gripped the hand he punched with.
"Boss...your hand," Orbot gasped, seeing Eggman's hand bruised.
"I'm ok. As long as I can still strangle a Zeti, I'll be fine," Eggman frowned.
"Right…" Tails noted before he put a hand to his chin, "Alright, so they have complete control of all the machines on this place and our friend. While I'm sure the saving Ben part is a problem, I feel like that can be solved a little easier."
"How? W…" Makoto began before her eyes widened in realization, "Wait...Tsubaki was with Ben when we got separated. You don't think that…"
"No...I get the feeling that red jerk would have taunted us with something like that. She probably got away." Sonic spoke up. "But that also means she's on her own at the moment...we better get going."
"Good idea. I can't wait to get out of this stupid cold," Eggman shivered a bit as the group began to leave.
Meanwhile, back at the Zeti's unknown hideout, Zavok was busy looking at a screen showing some of Sonic's past battles. He carefully took notice of all his moves and his tactics. He was searching for a weak point in his abilities to take advantage of. At the moment he needn't worry about other threats save for Sonic, especially with his new right hand man Zen as his personal lackey.
"...still...Sonic is more formidable than I anticipated," Zavok noted.
"Yes…" a voice spoke up as Zik walked out of the shadows, "Much like young Tennyson, he would make a powerful slave. The fat one and his former lackey, Lien-da taught us how to make Robots with that machine of his..."
"...So we'll make the hedgehog a robot," Zavok grinned darkly, "Excellent plan master." he admitted with respect evident in his voice.
"I'm sure you would've thought of it yourself. Given time that is," Zik replied.
"Time...Something Sonic the Hedgehog…" Zavok began as he turned back to the screen of sonic, "Is running out of." he grinned. "Now...how to go about capturing him?" he pondered allowed.
"Perhaps Lien-Da would know of a way. She has fought the hedgehog several times before," Zik stated
"...Bring her here then."
Back with Tsubaki, the crimson red head panted heavily as she was far from the snowy area, and was now in a sort of deep, dense forest and the weather was much more bearable as well. Today was definitely not good..after what happened with Jin and Ben getting controlled by the Zeti, she was at a lost. She didn't know where the others were, and she didn't know what area she was in. Well at least no one said things can't get any worse.
(SZ A.N:….you realize you just jinxed, Z0. right?)
(Z0 A.N:I did, and I'm not sorry about it.)
"Freeze!" a voice shouted, making tsubaki look up to see a Dark Legionnaire aiming her blaster at her, "Don't move..you're coming wi-"
Tsubaki didn't let the Legionnaire finish in time as she quickly shot up and knocked the Legionnaire's blaster out of her arms before pinning her to a nearby tree, the crimson red head aiming her blade at the Legionnaire's neck.
"Tell me where the Zeti are hiding..now," Tsubaki ordered with a dangerous frown as she held her blade steadily close.
"N...never!" the Legionnaire shouted before the tip of Tsubaki's blade nearly touched her neck, "Ok ok! I'll tell! They're hiding in Eggman's base located on the other side of the mountains! You can find the mountains at the end of this forest!"
"Sometimes I wish interrogating bad guys was always this easy," Tsubaki sighed as she glared at the Legionnaire, "Alright, I'll be pulling my sword away and heading in that direction. Let's just go our separate ways and be done with it."
"Y..yes but…" the Legionnaire began as Tsubaki let go, "Are you sure you want to go up against those things?! They're scarier than anything I've ever seen, almost scarier than Enerjak!"
"Well they have a friend of mine and put a lot of my other friends in danger. That's all I need to go after them." Tsubaki stated as she put her weapons away.
"...F-fine! Don't say I didn't warn you," the Legionnaire said as she ran the other direction.
"Like I've never heard that one," she sighed as she began making her way to the end of the forest.
In truth, she knew the Zeti were powerful, especially Zavok. But, she had her own personal mission to complete, get Ben back, even if she had to go through all six Zeti. But a part of her hoped it didn't have to come to that. Tsubaki shook those thoughts out of her head as she picked up the pace a little.
Back with Sonic and the others, the group was in a different part of the forest, keeping a close eye out for anything suspicious.
"So far no big bad surprises jumping out at us," Sonic noted as they walked through the woods.
"Yeah...not yet at least," Tails stated before the group came across one of Eggman's capture pods, "Nice. Very nice Eggman." Tails shot at Eggman.
"What do you mean? I didn't put one out here!" Eggman argued.
"Wait...you didn't?" Tails blinked as all sorts of red flags raised in his mind, 'Something's not right here.'
"Heh...still, wouldn't hurt to check it out," Sonic spoke as he was about to walk up to the machine.
"Wait Sonic! It's a trap!" Tails shouted as he ran in front of Sonic, the hedgehog not stopping in time as he accidentally bumped into the twin-tailed fox, sending him crashing into the machine, which opened up and 'swallowed' him.
"Tails!" Sonic shouted, running towards the machine to free his friend before said machine disappeared in a flash of light. Sonic came to a stop where the Machine use to stand, the hedgehog looking around in confusion and shock. He then began to clench hsi hands into fist, knowing who might've set that trap, "Those dirty, rotten, sneaky...!" he growled.
"Tails acted for the greater good. Let's make sure his sacrifice won't be in vain…" Eggman spoke solemnly before Makoto whacked him on the head with her tail, "OW! What was that for?!"
"He could still be alive, you fat jerk!" the Squirrel Beastkin snapped.
"Where he's going, I doubt it!" Eggman added only to get smacked again, this time harder. "Gah! That hurts!"
"...S...Sonniku," Roll spoke up, seeing the Hedgehog fall to his knees as he looked at his hands.
"I..I'm supposed to be the fastest...but...I was too slow to save my buddy…" Sonic whispered to himself.
"Sonic, now's not the best time to feel down, we should focus on getting to Tails before anything bad can happen," Eggman spoke, rubbing the spot Makoto smacked him in.
"...You…!" Sonic growled as he blurred up to Eggman and slugged him in the face, "THIS IS ALL YOUR FUCKING FAULT!"
"M..My fault?!" Eggman shouted back, "Oh yes! It's my fault the Zeti are out of control. If only we had something that stopped them...oh wait. I did." he growled. "This is not just my fault here! It's..."
"SHUT UP!" Sonic snapped, making Eggman flinch, "IF YOU HADN'T FOUND THOSE DAMN ZETI, WE WOULDN'T BE DEALING WITH THIS! IN FACT, IT'S ALSO YOUR FAULT WHAT HAPPENED AFTER YOU PULLED THAT DAMN GENESIS WAVE!"
"Which I would've succeeded with if you and your precious princess hadn't interfered!" Eggman snapped as the two just glared at one another.
But before anymore could be said, the two were smacked hard upside the heads shutting them both up.
"Enough you two!" Makoto snapped, "Now's not the time to be blaming each other! In case you have forgotten, Tails was abducted, and you want to stand here shouting at eachother!"
"He started it!" Sonic and Eggman yelled as they pointed at each other.
"I don't care! WE need to focus on the task at hand right now!" Makoto snapped before sending a glare to Eggman, "And you...you better keep your mouth shut or else."
The two grumbled under their breath in compliance as they turned away from each other.
"Alright, so if things weren't important enough now they have Tails so we might as well double our efforts to get to the Zeti's base of operations."
"...Right," Sonic grumbled, "I'm going on ahead...you girls keep an eye on ol' fatso here."
"F...fatso?! Why I...!" Eggman began before Sonic blurred off, "...Fine! Good riddance, you blue menace!"
"Shut up Eggman-teme," Makoto and Roll frowned in unison.
"Stupid fucking egg…" Sonic grumbled as he ran through the forest, a lot of things going through his head right now.
It was happening all over again...he was losing his friends. First Ben, and now Tails. These Zeti were really starting to get on his nerves; his last nerves. They attack his friends, they take his friends. Even now it felt like they were just trying to spite and anger him. After a few more moments of running, he stopped when he spotted something not too far away...a Zeti. This Zeti seemed more...scrawny compared to the others was probably the best way Sonic could describe it. His body was a mix of white and black with his arms and torso white, and his legs black in color. His hands were covered in black fingerless gloves and he had noticeable blue colored nails. He had bright purple hair that was combed over one of his eyes while he had two horns sticking out of the back of his head that where an alternating blue and black pattern. The Zeti seem to be slightly hunched over as he plucked a petal off a blue rose, said petal falling to the ground.
"...Everything seems so pointless," the Zeti sighed in a very depressed tone, maybe too depressed.
"...You!" Sonic yelled as he ran up to the Zeti, "What did you do with Tails?!"
"Hmm?" the Zeti blinked as he looked up ot see a frowning sonic, making his eyes slowly widen, "What? Seriously? B...but we captured you."
"Yeah, you captured me. You idiot, I'm right here." Sonic complained sarcastically, "I swear you Zeti get less threatening and more annoying with each new one. Now..." Sonic began as he stomped towards the Zeti, "You captured my friend, and I want him back!"
"..Man...This day is beginning to be such a drag," the Zeti sighed as he began to walk away, "Whatever. I gotta go tell the others the bad news...heh..giving bad news is actually the one thing I enjoy."
"Thats….that's just sad." Sonic said honestly.
"Whatever..I'll deal with you later," the Zeti waved off, "Oh..and it's Zor by the way...not that you care."
"Are you sure it's not bore?"
"...that was dull...loser," Zor sighed as he leapt away.
"Hey! you get back here!" Sonic snapped as he chased after the Zeti. "Next time, just hit first ask questions later," he told himself.
Zor didn't seem to mind as he jumped from branch to branch, Sonic still running after him.
"This has to be one of the weirdest chases I've been on," Sonic complained, "Normally the bad guy is suppose to be mocking me while he gets away," he added as he jumped over a fallen tree.
"That stuff just sounds boring…"
"...You...didn't get out much as a kid, haven't you?" Sonic added as he suddenly jumped and bound off a tree to catch up with Zor.
Zor didn't mind as he looked up at the sky, which now began to darken.
"Night...the only time of day I can tolerate I guess…"
"Yeesh. I've heard of Goth and Emo, but this guy just seem like a cliche of both," Sonic sweatdropped as he kept up with Zor until the two stopped at a clearing, "ok g...er...emo-goth boy, I got ya where I want ya."
"...Sigh...this is starting to get even more boring...I might as well call my 'pet' to deal with you," Zor sighed before he let out a small whistle.
"Oh come on. You're one of those bad guys? Sonic groaned before blinking as a shadow loomed over him. He slowly looked up before giving a yelp as he rolled out of the way of a large, robotic owl, "Seriously? An owl? What, they run out of crows?"
"Owls are better than crows...they don't try to peck your eyes out and attempt to eat your brains from your eye socket."
"Okay; first of all gross. Second of all; instead you go with the flying bird that eats rats and then spits em out. Yeah way more deep," Sonic deadpanned.
"You just don't see them the way i do…" Zor stated in his still depressed tone as he looked up at the robotic owl, "Get him."
the Owl then swooped down at Sonic again, but the hedgehog leaped over it before he jumped off its head and landed down on the ground in a crouch.
"Heh..nice tr-" Sonic began before he barely dodged a cascade of metal quills, "Well at least if you feel like writing a senseless depressing poem you got plenty of pens," Sonic quipped as he blurred out of the path of another swoop. He then jumped over the next barrage of quills.
"...I'm outta here..." Zor sighed as he leapt away once more.
"Hey! G-" Sonic began before wincing when a few metallic quills managed to scratch him in the arm, "Right...the oversized predator bird that's still looming over me." he complained with a click of his tongue.
He turned his attention to the bird he zoomed out of it's way again before he jumped up and landed on it's back. The Mechanical owl tried to shake him off but Sonic held on for dear life before he steered it to the left and let it crash into a tree.
"Heh. Well so much for Owls having great depth perception." he said as he landed on a branch as the bird got itself free. The Owl screeched as it flew at him again but Sonic ran up the side of the tree making the bird follow him up before Sonic suddenly stopped on the tip of the tree as the bird flew past him. "Wait for it." he said as the Owl turned down and dove at him. "Not yet….not yet." he said looking at his wrist as if he had a watch. "And now." he said as he jumped to the left letting the owl miss him and dive straight into the ground. "Guess that also proved the whole wisdom thing false as well." he chuckled as the owl crashed into the ground.
He soon looked up at the night sky, the moon looming overhead. It was starting to get a bit late, so he better get back to the girls and Eggman before anything else happens. He then jumped off the branch and slid down the side of the tree before he jumped and landed on the robotic head of the owl and crushed it for good measure. He then ran back to meet up with the girls.
Back with the other Zeti, the five were waiting for the machine to open up as Lien-da entered the access code for it.
"There..he's all yours," Lien-da spoke as she pressed the last button, causing the machine to open up.
"Excellent. Now Sonic, it's time for…" Zavok began before he stopped mid sentence as he looked inside. The reason for his sudden hitch in his sentence was because laying there on his side with his head in his hand was Tails, who had a very smug and upset look on his face.
"Uh...how come he's not blue?" Zommom asked stupidly.
"Because this isn't Sonic!" Zavok shouted in outrage, "You incompetent fools! I cannot trust you with the simplest of task!"
"Even I could have told you that," Tails deadpanned as he turned to his other side.
"...Actually Zavok...you could still work this to your advantage," Lien-da suggested..
"Well at least one of you has a brain," Tails added. "Albeit a smallish one."
Lien-da was about to bring her whip out when Zor entered the room.
"Somebody messed up royally, because we don't have sonic," the emo-goth Zeti panted a bit.
Everyone looked at him as even Tails turned around as they all gave him a 'No duh' look.
"...Ugh...I cannot take this right now...Zen!"
=Wh...What do you mean you forgot the song?= Zen's voice echoed from one of the hidden doors in the room, =No it's good! It's good! Just...hit random or something! Ok three...two…=
"I knew stupid was contagious," Zavok sighed, pinching where the bridge of his nose would be as the doors were kicked open.
-I'm a bitch! I'm a lover! I'm a child! I'm a mother! I'm a sinner…!-
=Ok ok! Turn it off! Turn it off= Zen stated to a nearby Legionnaire, the Galvanic Mechomorph wearing a black jacket and a pair of shades before he took said shades off =It didn't work. It did not work=
"Zen!" Zavok shouted, making Zen stumble the sun glasses around in his hands before dropping them.
=Yes boss?=
"Please take our 'guest' to his 'room' until it is time to Roboticize him," Zavok ordered as Zen saluted and stretched his arm and grabbed Tails in it before he brought him up close to his eye.
=Huh. You know this guy looks a lot more adorable then they give him credit for. So can I smash him once or twice?=
"No...we need him alive," Zavok frowned.
"Nuts/Nuts!= Zazz and Zen snapped in annoyance.
"Now go lock him up before he starts thinking up some escape plan. He is the smart one after all."
Zen just gave a two finger salute as he carried Tails off.
"And as for you…" Zavok began as he turned back towards Zor, "Go back out there and find the hedgehog."
"Ugh...do I have too?"
"Yes. Unless you want me to make it so if you sigh ever again, you'll be hacking up your lungs," Zavok threatened.
"...yes sir…" Zor nodded, a small bit of fear in his eyes as he slowly walked out the door..at least until Zeena kicked him out, "Ow!"
"Good we're becoming productive." Zavok said sarcastically as he turned around while scratching the top of his head. He needed to reorganize his plans to fit with these...complications.
The next morning, Sonic and the group were still within the dense forest before coming up to what seemed to be ruins of sorts.
Nearby, a certain, depressed Zeti stared a bit blankly at the group as the walked by, the Zeti hidden within the shadows.
"Tch...look at him. all 'I'm so fast' and stuff," Zor sighed a bit as he messed with one of his banes while looking at the group(mainly Sonic), "Ugh...makes me sick. Might as well knock him down a peg or two."
With that, the Zeti seemingly 'melted' into the shadows as Sonic's group came across an entrance of sorts.
"Huh...well my gut says kick it open. But my brain says maybe not to," Sonic said, scratching his head as he looked at the entrance, "Man I wish Tails was here."
"Don't worry Sonikku…" rol began as she placed her hand on the hedgehog's shoulder, "We'll get him back."
"I know," he sighed, "It's just a lot easier when we have someone smart to tell us if it's a bad idea or not."
"Ahem!"
"...someone who isn't Eggman," Sonic frowned, making Eggman growl a bit in annoyance, "Well we might as well get this done with and get past whatever crazy traps are waiting for us."
"Hai...which means we'll have to travel down this hole a.." Makoto began.
"Oh my~" Cubot spoke in a George Takei like voice.
"Damn it, Takei! I...I mean Cubot! I didn't mean it like that a...ugh! Can someone knock him on the head and change his voice chip?!" Makoto snapped a bit.
"I got a way to fix that. Punt!" Sonic shouted as he kicked Cubot, sending him flying away.
"Oh my!" Cbot yelped as he bounced up and down on the 'cave' floor, the only thing being seen inside was his optics due to how dark it was.
"Well it didn't work but we learned two things. First; it's very dark. And second; seems no random tomb traps like in the movies," Sonic noted as he poked his head in, "..still..best not risk all of us going in at once. Makoto, Roll, you two and Eggbutt stay out here and keep an eye out for anything suspicious." he said as he began walking into the cave.
"Right." the girls nodded as Eggman grumbled in annoyance. Sonic then ran deeper into the cave/entrance, grabbing Cubot's head along the way as he used said robot as a flashlight of sorts.
Sonic made his way around the cave till he came to a main section that seemed to branch out to all the other ruins they saw on the way here. "Well, this is starting to feel like something out of a movie." Sonic noted as he looked around.
"Yeah...all we need is a giant boulder chasing us," Cubot added, his head red and black.
Sonic's eyes twitched a bit as he looked at Cubot. "I swear to god if you in anyway jinxed me, I will punt you off this crazy place."
"I'd like to see ya try, little boy blue! a-oh look. A boulder heading towards us." Cubot said as Sonic turned around and...there was a giant boulder coming at them.
"Son of a…!" Sonic growled as he began running at full speed before he went in one of the many tunnels.
"Doh it missed! oh well...at least ya gots some bats keeping ya company."
"Huh? What b..?" Sonic began before a series of singular, slitted red eyes opened up around him, "Oh come on!" Sonic cried as he began running trying to avoid the swarm of Bats that flew after him, the bats seemingly made of shadows.
"Run bitch, run!" Cubot laughed as Sonic ran away from the shadow bats.
"I swear I will break you!" Sonic shouted as he skidded to a stop before he ran down another hall. The swarm of bats flying right past the turn he made.
"..We-" Cubot began before Sonic shut his mouth, "Hmph!"
"Not….a...word," Sonic hissed through gritted teeth. He then slowly walked out to see if the cost was clear. "Okay. there gone for now, so I can do this." he said as he grabbed Cubot and smashed him into a wall once, "That fix ya!?"
"...Nope. But ya just screwed yourself royally by activating a trap."
"Wh.." Sonic began before he blinked, feeling as if the ground was missing, "I hate you so much right now." he growled as he and Cubot fell down the now missing section of floor.
Sonic screamed as he fell through the trap before landing face first into the floor below, Cubot soon landing ontop of him.
"Safe!" Cubot laughed before Sonic shot up grabbed his head and punted him further down, "I regret nothing!"
"Damn robots. After this whole thing I need a long vacation in the woods away from any form of technology." he grumbled as he ran down where he tossed Cubot. He still needed a light after all.
As soon as he picked Cubot up, he noticed he was in an arena of sorts, a waterfall of sorts in the background with a few ruins above said waterfall. the arena itself seemed to be made of cracked dark purple stones, which looked like would give away any moment now. However, what caught Sonic's attention most was also in the background was the same robotic owl he fought last night, hanging onto a few pieces of rope as it sparked a bit.
"Oh...well this can't be good." Sonic said as he looked around.
"Ugh...why'd you have to get here so fast..I really don't like conflict," Zor's voice echoed through the area.
"Yeah well I don't like being stuck with such a depressing downer," Sonic shot back. "Heck, at least the other guys were entertaining to fight."
"...man, that was really depressing..ugh..guess I'll have to fight you now," Zor's voice sighed as the whole area suddenly got darker.
"Heh you fight me. Now I know you have a sense of humor." Sonic said, shaking his head in amusement before grunting when he felt something strike him from behind, making him stumble forward before something struck him in the face, causing him to stagger back.
"Ouch that's gonna leave a mark." Cubot's voice winced.
"Seriously? This is how you fight?" Sonic complained as he closed his eyes while rubbing his face.
"Hey..you forced me to do this...so I want to finish this as fast as possible," Zor's voice stated as Sonic barely dodged a strike, the spot where he stood cracked a bit.
"Oh for the love of, this is what I hate about those goth or emo guys, they make it seem like they're the victim." he complained as his ears perked up and he dodged another strike. "Then they talk down to everyone like they have the right." he added as he dodged another strike by jumping back making him skid across the floor. "So if you're going to be dark at least be a creepy villain like that Zazz dude!" he finished as he punched his fist forward hitting something sending it stumbling back, "Ha! got…"
However, the hedgehog's moment of celebration was cut when the 'Zor' he hit seemingly dissipated into a swarm of shadow bats.
"I knew it wouldn't be that easy," Sonic grumbled as he jumped over another strike from behind. As he landed he ducked under another strike that was aimed at his head as he ducked down he then pushed with his leg before shooting himself forward crashing into whatever was in front of him, which was revealed to be another 'Zor' that burst into a swarm of shadow bats.
"It's no use, you know. No matter how many times you attack 'me' you'll never find me…"
"You just love hearing your on creepy voice don't you?" Sonic quipped. "I mean trust me, I know about bragging villains but you're the one whos the hardest to listen to. At least Eggman is comedic and your boss has a good speaking voice."
"...seriously...you're saying that loser doctor is better than me?"
"..really? Your t…" sonic began before he ducked under a swipe from a shadow Zor. "Hey now. No interrupting when the hero is bantering," he joked as he kicked the shadow Zor dissipating him, 'Still..this is getting very annoying. I gotta try and find the original fast..but that's going to be hard with how dark it is in here.' he thought as he jumped over another swipe from a shadow Zor before he smashed his fists down on its head making it dissipate into bats as well. 'Wait a minute...these shadow things don't talk only the real one can.' he thought once more as he blocked a strike from another shadow Zor before he kicked it in the stomach and then kicked it across the head his leg moving at full force sending it flying away, 'But..how am I gonna..?'
"Hey blue boy! Ya done yet?! I want to get out of here before the mole people come tunneling in!" Cubot shouted.
"Ugh! Will you just sh...wait…" Sonic began as his eyes widened in realization. 'Ding-ding I think I just found my answer,' he mentally grinned, "Hey Cubot, tell me what do you think of this Emo-goth guy I'm fighting, you know just to get your opinion on him."
"Aside from looking like he cuts himself with a rusty razor and reads stuff like..ugh, Twilight? No...oh and BTW, why don't you try turning some light on in here?! Seriously, it's darker than Eggman's butt when I was trapped under it for weeks!" Cubot ranted. "and seriously what's he got to complain about, before his boss started destroying the world it wasn't so bad, and they're technically winning! I mean who's he got to rebel against being likeable!"
"I know...just..turn your optics on high so it can get brighter in here!"
"Huh..how's th..oh yeah! Hey emo boy!" Cubot shouted. "In lieu of curtains I will be blinding you with this!" he stated as his eyes flashed brighter than before filling the area with light once again. "Haha suck it!" he cheered as the Shadow Zor's all faded away.
"Aw man…there goes my plan," Zor sighed in even more depression as he stood in the middle of the arena
"Yeah sorry to break it to you mister gloom, but the plan never really works in real life, trust me." Sonic said as he appeared behind Zor and tapping him on the shoulder. "Now, I suggest you brace yourself." he added with a grin before he ran to one end of the arena and then ran back at full speed before he jumped in the air and slammed a flying sidekick into Zor sending him flying and then tumbling across the ground.
"GOAL!" Cubot randomly shouted.
"Ah that was very fulfilling." Sonic grinned as he began to walk to the Zeti, who rubbed the spot Sonic kicked him in.
"Ow..that really hurt," Zor grumbled a bit before Sonic picked him up by his arms, "Hey..not so rough."
"Shut up." Sonic said as he raised him up to his feet. "Now here's how this works you talk, and I don't play keep up while dragging you at full speed comprende?"
"..whatever."
"Ooh. Not what Sonic wanted to hear," Sonic said in mock disappointment, "Now..tell me where my buddy, Tails is." he asked seriously.
"I don't know man...Zen took him away...they send me right back out since you didn't fall for our trap, which was pretty lame of ya."
"Hm…" Sonic nodded in understanding before smacking him across the head. "Alright question number two, where are you guys living?"
"Wherever Zavok wants us to live."
"Hey hey no lip." Sonic scolded, smacking him again, "Now let me rephrase that for one as dumb as yourself, where are you and your boss doing everything from? You know kidnapping people, making machines to kill me."
"The fact you think i'm more scared of you then Zavok is pitiful even for me."
"Well I'm not trying to scare you first of all, I'm just interrogating you. There's a big difference." Sonic replied. "And that's two strikes. One more and I'll use you as a battering ram to get out of this place."
"Okay okay i'll answer you...but first can you answer this? Has it been 10 minutes since we started fighting?"
"Cubot, time." Sonic ordered.
"About 10 minutes 5 after beating him...and five trying to get him to talk wh…" at that a blur that wasn't Sonic ran by and next thing they knew, Zor was gone.
"Oh come on!" Sonic shouted.
"Aaaaaand he's gone..way to g-woah!" Cuot yelped when Sonic grabbed him and ran down the nearest path, leaving the arena.
"Zavok, I thought of an interesting trick," Master Zik spoke as he, Zavok, adn Zen stood within the main room of their hideout, "Focus your power on Zen but try to enforce your will on him."
"Of course master." Zavok nodded as he did so.
Zen winced for a few moments before his galvanic body morph into a shape similar to Zavok.
=Ahh...I feel...smarter sinister...ughh but I still like that silly sumo slammers= Zen spoke in a robotic version of Zavok's voice. =Master Zik, Lord Zavok, it maybe because at the moment I'm thinking along the same lines as you two...but I recently considered a few elements that could lead to our failure=

"ZAVOK!" Lien-da's voice roared as she stomped in, the echidna not noticing the 'floor, "What the hell is going on?!"
"...Zen, upgrade her as well," Zavok scoffed.
"Huh?" Lien-da blinked before her arms were grabbed by two 'tentacles' as the floor started to 'eat' her up, "Wh..what's going on?!"

"Master Zik perhaps once we're done here we'll pay a visit to the Glavan homeworld," Zavok grinned.

"Sorry but see all Metal Sonics shared this awesome feature Eggman put in..we learn we adapt...we evolve...and right now i just got in all the experience and memories of Ben Tennyson and his aliens," FourArms-Shard explained, "Such as this one memory where he thought you two were crushed underneath a falling warehouse after an attack from..oh what was his name? Malware was it?"
"Shut up."
"You know what? Maybe this isn't emotionally enough...how about i show you how Ben truly sees Kevin Levin. His so called 'Best friends'," Fourarms smirked as he assumed the first mutated form Kevin had when he was 11. "Yeah! I have all of his powers, plus my own! I'm Kevin Eleven!" he said in a complete imitation of Kevin as he fired Diamondhead shards at the group...which were more powerful then when Kevin had them in that form.
Silver quickly used his powers to grab a few before he winced when a few cut his left arm up bad, making him drop to his knees.
"Oh man, is it hot in here…" Kevin-Shard started as he gripped his heatblast arm, "or is it just me?" he then punched the ground, sending a wave of lava due to the ground being melted by the strength of his punch.
"Damn it..where's Noel or Tager when you need them?" Kevin frowned as the group barely dodged the wave of lava.
"Stupid Eggman...who makes a machine that evolves without its creator?" Kokonoe demanded, coughing up blood as she held her hands over the hole in her stomach.
"...You're still kicking?!" Kevin-Shard snarled, "I'll deal with you guys in a sec...i'm gonna play..skin the cat!"
Just as Shard-kevin took a few steps towards Kokonoe, a few energy bullets pelted him in the face, making him wince.
"Don't...move…" Noel's voice frowned, making Kevin-Shard turn his head to see the frowning blond as she aimed Bolverk at him.
"...Oh you are gonna be so easy," Shard smirked as in an instant, he spun and was replaced by Makoto. "Are you really gonna hurt me noel?"
Noel just frowned in response.
"..Really? This isn't affecting you?..oh right. You saw your two best friends 'killed' by that snake, Hazama or...did you?" "she" said making Noel blink, "At least that's what Kokonoe told you."

Back with Sonic, the hedgehog had came out the entrance to see the others in a defensive stance.

The gang stared in horror of the new grunts...more at their similarities...a majority of them looked like Ben's aliens.
"Eggman...please tell me you made cool looking copies of Ben's aliens," Sonic gulped.
"I didn't...I never even thought of the idea.." Eggman gulped.
=Fourarms smash!= the Fourarms look alike shouted.
=Let me tell you something Team Sonic!= the Rath look alike began =We the Omniborgs are gonna mess you up all for Master Zen! Then we're gonna takes your skulls and make them beer cups!=
"Ah mou...We have to deal with these guys now?" Makoto frowned while thinking, 'I'm seriously going to kick those Zeti's butts when we find their hideout.'
=Oh but the women namely the hot beastkin is for Master Zen to deal with you guys can eat a dick!= the Rathborg added.
"Oh god, you're more annoying than the real Rath." Sonic sighed.
"Hey! Cubot-Rath takes offe-" Cubot began before Sonic bonked him on the head, making him switch personalities once more, "Duh…."
=Now Rathborg reveals how mess up your situation is now ten hut!= Rathborg shouted as the omniborgs step aside as a semi-familiar figure walked in.
"Ahh the traitor!" Eggman snarled at the new Lien-Da.
"Traitor? Oh that sounds like such a harsh word..I just switched to the better side..the winning side," she said as everyone looked at her.
For the mobians...well, for Sonic, he thought she had equal sizes to Makoto Nanaya, even her outfit looked a little similar. He also noted she had an omnitrix symbol on her shirt in the center of it acting like a button
"What did they do to you?" Sonic asked her.
"What this?" Lien-da asked as she motioned to her new body, "It was a little something I was against at first..but now I love it..and you.." she paused as she sent a dark smirk at the group, "Will soon hate it." she then touched the omnitrix and a hologram of xlr8 appeared before returning to her, "Bam."
0.005 seconds in that instant Lien-Da had kicked Sonic into Eggman.
"oof!" Eggman coughed as he was sent crashing into a tree.
"What the heck was…?" Sonic began before he was suddenly kicked to the side.
"So-!" Roll began before she was punched hard in the stomach, knocking the air out of her as she fell to her knees.
"Hmm. The Beastkin level of strength works wonders," Lien-Da noted as she flexed her arm, "Boys, let's play. XLR-8borgs, take Sonic. The Beastkin….you can leave to me and the Rathborgs."
"Oh yeah? What you got that makes you think you can…" Makoto started till Lien-Da used a humongosaur symbol and grew to Humongosaur size, "...oh…"
"Scared?"
"Cubot Deadpool." Cubot gulped.
'Yeah?'
"Its gonna be one of those days ain't it?" Cubot whined.

"RUN AWAY!"Cubot shouted as he ran..er..hopped since he was still a head, away as fast as he could.
"Wait up!" Orbot shouted as he ran after his fellow machine.

'..reat…" sonic grumbled as he and Eggman were surrounded by Omniborgs, "Can this..no no. Not gonna jinx it."
"Actually Hedgehog...after some convincing, we've got something special for you," Lien-da spoke up, "Yo Princess!"
"What?" Sonic's eyes widened when a blur shot by him and Eggman before said blur landed in front of the XLR-8borgs.
"..." soon enough Sally appeared, only now adorned in an outfit similar to Izayoi from that one adventure in the other zone.
"Zen called this Izayoi mark 2."
"M..my creation...you butchered my creation!" Eggman snapped in anger.
"Butchered? tch...this is far better. She's techno organic now."
"Wait. Techno organic? Does that means she now has…?" Sonic started.
"Yes a baby maker. a womb." Lien-Da sighed, rolling her eyes a bit.
"...I don't think he was asking that," Cubot looked towards us (GT Note: Dang it, Deadpool! *starts fixing the 4th wall yet again*).
"Went from a 0 to a 10." Sonic said a bit outloud.
"..Ugh...Izayoi Mk2, deal with that blue pest. I gotta get back to capturing that Beastkin for Zen," Lien-Da ordered.
"Do not give me orders, echidna," Sally spoked in her normal voice.
"Tch. Your personality being mostly restore is annoying," Lien-da scoffed a bit as she resumed going after Makoto. she then blinked as she was shot at well to her they were pebbles as she turn to see Eggman with a gun. "...Did you just shoot at me?"
"Yes I did," Eggman said in response.
"So you just shot at me when I have the squirrel chick's level of strength magnify by me being in Humongosaur mode."
"And we're sure you're a Doctor?" Sonic asked.
'..Sh..shut up!" Eggman argued.
"I'm gonna enjoy some scrambled eggs," Lien-Da frowned as she took out her whips emitting green electricity.
Eggman soon realized his mistake as he let out a small 'eep' before high tailing it out of there.
Sonic would, (keyword would) have helped but he dodged more of Sally slashes.
"You haven't changed a bit during my absence." Sally spoke to Sonic. "So you enjoying being Nagus's lapdog?"
"...Sal..if that was a joke, it ain't funny," Sonic frowned.
"It wasn't. you could've fought," she stated with a frown, "The sonic i knew was a lot tougher." she said, slashing at him again, "The Sonic i knew breaks the rules, not follow them. The Sonic I knew would''ve looked out for my family, but now look My dad a shell of his former self and my brother and his family are who knows where."
"I know..they had to go into hiding after you tried to kill them," Sonic stated, still frowning as he dodged another slash.
"You know that wasn't of my own will...or have you given up on me?"
"No I haven't. I promised myself I'd get you back at any cost."
"..." Sally then put her weapons away as she hugged him suddenly, "...Can it really be like it was...even after what i am now?"
"...I still hope…"
"...Do you still love me?" Sally asked in a pleading tone.
"I do…"
"...kiss me then." She begged.
"..." Sonic then cupped her chin and looked into her eyes and smile as he did so even in the middle of the war going on around them he felt like he got a little something back...however he was unaware of Sally taking out a long blade and swinging it to impale Sonic from behind.
