Chapter 19: Color attack!

SZ:*sitting in a meditative state, taking deep breaths*

GT: *walks in* Finished fixing the continent.

SZ:*opens eye*oh..hello GT.

GT: A lot happened last chapter, huh?

SZ: Indeed...Zen upgraded the Legionnaires and Badniks into Omniborgs, Lien-Da and Sally got an upgrade as well, and it seems Sally was about to slash Sonic in the back…

GT: ...And if Yacker was awake for that last thing, it is not gonna end well.

SZ: *nods* Anyway, if Sonic-tachi manages to escape, they'll most likely be going up against Zen or Zavok next...but how would they fare against one of them, especially Zavok since he easily beat Ben in the second chapter of this arc?

GT: True. And he's most likely only gotten even stronger since they started to absorb the world's life force.

SZ: Aye...but i guess enough talk for now..unless you have something you'd like to add, GT?

GT: Just that there's less than eight days till Christmas.

SZ: Ahh..that is indeed true..though once again for me, Christmas and my Birthday will have to be combined for one of my gifts...but enough of that. disclaimers. SZ: indeed.*snaps fingers, causing the screen to scroll down as the story started*

Sonic's eye widened when he heard the sound of metal slashing against something, the hedgehog separating the kiss with Sally as he looked behind him to see what caused the noise. Roll grunted as the blade dug into her hands, the hedgefox struggling to keep it from progressing towards the blue hedgehog.

Sally merely frowned as she moved Sonic out of the way before trying to free her blade from Roll's hands.

"Let go...now..." the controlled Mobian princess demanded with a dark frown.

"N-No…!" Roll grunted, "Y-You're sick...controlled...Sonikku-san...his actions with you now...and yet you do this…?"

"..What I do with my actions are none of your concern, hedgefox. Now let go, or I'll cut you down along with him."

"N...No!" Roll narrowed her eyes, unaware of Yacker trembling nearby, "I...I won't let you harm Soniku-san any longer."

"...fine," Sally frowned as she kicked Roll off her blade before raising it, "Then die…"

"UNLIMITED COLORS!" Yacker shouted as his body started to start shifting rapidly in colors and appearances, earning the attention of everyone.

"What's it doing?" Lien-Da scowled before Yacker split into multiple Wisps of different types.

"Yacker-chan?" Roll gasped.

"What's happening to Yacker?" Makoto gasped as she dodged a swipe from Lien-Da.

The multiple Yackers shot off, making Sally jump back to avoid Rocket Yacker and Spikes Yacker's attempts to ram into her. Roll slowly panted as Hover Yacker and Cube Yacker helped her up. Normal Yacker quickly handed Roll her Swiss Army Knife before the Wisps began to circle her.

"BOOST-DRILL-LASER-CUBE-HOVER-SPIKES-FRENZY-VOID-ROCKET-BURST-ASTEROID-EAGLE-RHYTHM-LIGHTNING-QUAKE-BOMB!" the Yackers declared rapidly as one before they glowed and slammed into Roll while calling out,"FINAL COLOR BLASTER!"

A rainbow aura of power engulfed Roll, leaving only her outline visible once more. Unlike with Frenzy, the energy immediately dispersed. Sally winced as she shielded herself from the resulting flash of light. When the light died down, she lowered her arms to see what had become of the hedgefox. In place of Roll's normal self, she was once more a foot taller. Her fur had turned the purest white in color while her right eye had turned a gentle blue. A white cape draped her shoulders while a white bodysuit covered her body. Silver armor with gems of multiple colors decorated her torso, shoulders, lower arms, and lower legs. Sixteen fox tails with the tips in different colors swayed behind her as her hair had been braided with multicolored plant vines. On her waist was a simple belt with a somewhat large buckle, the right side of it having a key shaped like normal Yacker in it. The front of the buckle sported a star made of sixteen different gems.

"Holy…" Makoto whispered as nearly everyone stared at the new form.

"R...R...Roll?" Sonic spoke up..

Roll glanced at him, her face void of any emotion. Sonic suppressed a shiver. It...It was like he was standing before a ruler of great power. She waved her hand at him and he blinked. Looking down, he saw his wounds were all gone. Roll looked back at Sally before taking the 'key' on her buckle and twisted it once.

=LASER RAPIER= Yacker's voice erupted from the belt as the cyan gem lit up.

Roll swung her arm out, the Laser Rapier held in it. She entered a basic fencing stance, looking directly at Sally.

"...No matter what form you take, it still doesn't..." Sally began with a frown before she barely blocked a thrust from Roll,the controlled Mobian princess struggling to hold it back.

Roll spun her rapier and forced Sally to form an opening, letting her deliver a stab that knocked Sally back a few kilometers, sparks racing off from where her attack had struck. Roll twisted the key once more.

=HOVER BOARD=

The XLR8 Omniborg slammed face-first into the declared weapon, Roll using it as a shield. She twisted the key once more.

=BOMB SPEAR=

Swing her shield and forcing the XLR8 Omniborg to have an opening, a solid-black sphere with the bottom resembling a wisp made of three spheres and a pink mouth impaled the Omniborg. The spear glowed before releasing an explosion, the parts of the XLR8 Omniborg scattering about. Roll lowered her new weapon before looking at Sally once more, dismissing both weapons.

Cue: Kamen Rider Kiva OST - Supernova

Sally merely frowned as she summoned forth two blades and charged at Roll. The hedgefox, her face still void of emotion, batted the blades like they were flies and grabbed Sally by her face all with one hand. She lifted her up before casually throwing Sally to the side, causing the tree Sally hit to turn into a pile of splinters and sawdust. Sally let out a few coughs before she heard…

=BURST BUSTERSWORD=

The controlled Mobian princess summoned a blade just in time as she blocked another strike from Roll, the blade releasing intense flames that vaporized all the snow around them in a five meter radius. Roll dismissed the blade and delivered a series of kicks right into Sally's side, sending sparks with each kick. She performed a spin kick and knocked Sally into Lien-Da. Roll removed the key and inserted it into the top of the buckle before twisting it. The gems on her buckle lit up before the light spun around like a spinner, settling on the red gem.

=BURST - MAXIMUM DRIVE=

The strange emblem from before appeared behind Roll for a brief instant as she crossed her arms before her, her hands open towards them. The area around her body began to heat up as a red aura blazed around her. She spread her arms out as she knelt down. She tapped the ground once with her right foot before jumping into the air, directly at Sally and Lien-Da. Her feet erupted in flames that took on the shape of buster-swords connected to the lower half of her legs. The Rath Omniborg jumped into front of the attack, letting it slam into it. He smirked as he barely moved back an inch before his eyes widened as the flaming swords before the stab him rapidly, the force of each blow actually sending him backwards five meters. The Omniborg slammed into a tree with his back facing it. Roll jumped back and landed gracefully, her back facing the Rath Omniborg. Ominously, her emblem appeared and overshadowed Rath Omniborg. It groaned and collapsed before releasing a series of explosions.

"..s...Sugei…" Makoto gawked after she and Sonic saw what Roll just did.

Roll turned towards Lien-Da and Sally, her face still stoic.

'D...Damn it...What is she?' Lien-Da grunted mentally as she struggled to get up, "Tch. Retreat."

Sally gave a small, yet weak, irritated growl as she barely managed to stand up, giving one last glare to Sonic and Roll before she, Lein-Da, and whatever Omniborgs were left retreated from the area. Roll gazed at where Sally had been before she coughed up a bit of blood. Her form flashed before she collapsed, back to her normal form and out cold. Yacker laid on the ground beside her, his eye now a swirl. Sonic quickly shook his head as he and Makoto ran up to check and see if Roll was alright. Cubot and Orbot peeked out from under a mound of snow that hadn't been melted by the Burst Bustersword.

"I...Is it over?" Orbot nervously asked.

"Yeah...It...It's over," Makoto replied.

"Dude, what the fuck was that?" Cubot demanded, his yellow replaced with teal and his optics gold.

"I...I'm not sure," Sonic replied, looking down at the unconscious hedgefox.

Back with the Zeti, Zavok frowned heavily after hearing the latest report. All five of the other Zeti had been defeated, and Zen's Omniborgs (along with the upgraded Lien-Da and Sally) had been defeated easily...by a Wisp. A Wisp, of all things. Sure, it had been focused through a Mobian, but still a Wisp.

=Hey boss, I'm back= Zen said as he came into the room, seeing Zavok hunched over =...Uh...boss? You ok?=

"I'm getting very vexed with that little group," Zavok informed, "Your creations and upgrades to what we have did little to stop them. In fact, it only made one of them stronger than ever before."

=Seriously? Even after I've given Lien-Da and her Legionnaires small bits of data on the aliens stored in the Omnitrix to give them a boost?=

"You never scanned the Wisp, did you?"

=No...Why?=

"Because what we Zeti consider a delicacy is what beat them," Zavok informed as he stood up and glared down at Zen, "Think about it. Food defeated something that should have been considered advanced and unstoppable. Do you want to know what I am thinking about you right now? For making something that Food could beat?"

=...I'm dead, aren't I?=

"Zavok," the red Zeti turned to see his master standing on the nearby table, "Remember your breathing exercises. Otherwise, you'll do that again."

Zavok stayed quiet for a few moments before taking a few deep breaths. He turned to another table in the room and flipped it. Zen winced as he watched the flip table shoot out of the base and into the distance.

"..If you want something done right…" the red Zeti frowned as he began to walk out of the room.

=O...Oi. Where are you..=

"To take care of that blue pest once and for all."

=...Then let me come. I'd like to face that Beastkin personally. Ya know? Make sure she doesn't interfere with your fight, boss=

"I'll come along as well. If you want to face the blue one alone, I'll keep the hedgefox and her strange Wisp at bay," Zix informed.

"...Very well," Zavok nodded in response as the three Zeti...er, two Zeti and controlled Galvanic Mechamorph walked out.

Meanwhile, Tsubaki panted a bit as she climbed up the mountain located at the far end of the dense forest sonic and the others were in. She was about to climb up further when she heard a low, rumbling sound, making her turn to see storm clouds heading towards the mountain.

"Damn…" she cursed to herself before nearly losing her grip.

She had been climbing up this mountain for a few hours now without rest. And now a storm was coming. She had to find shelter quick. She quickly looked around her surroundings before she spotted what looked like a small cave not too far up. She then climbed up with what little strength she had left before she managed to climb into the cave, the crimson red head heavily panting as she rested on the cave wall. As she rested, she thought about what happened back at that battle with Jin...and what had happened to Ben when the Zeti took control of him while he was still Upgrade.

'I need to get Ben to change forms,' Tsubaki thought, 'But how…?'

It was there she had recalled something. She recalled Ben once tapping on the Omnitrix to change to a different alien when he was still one.

'But...what if there's a key place to touch? If there wasn't something like that, then anytime he was hit on the symbol, he'd change,' Tsubaki frowned, 'Plus, I need to figure out a way to get in close enough...but how…?'

"Oh thank goodness we were able to locate shelter before this storm hit," Orbot noted as he looked out at the blizzard from the cave they had entered before he looked over at where Roll was lying, Makoto looking her and Yacker over with Cubot, his yellow replaced with purple, "How is she?"

"Still knocked out," Cubot replied.

"Isn't this voice chip a doctor's voice chip?" Makoto asked.

"I'm not a doctor, I'm a medic."

"What's the difference?" Eggman asked as he poked at their fire.

"Well, a doctor cures people. A medic just makes them more comfortable...while they die."

"...Well that was just dark," Makoto sweatdropped a bit at that last part.

"Well...yeah, I guess," Cubot replied.

Sonic didn't pay much attention as he laid against the cave wall, looking outside. He still blamed himself for what happened to Tails, and what had happened with Sally not too long ago didn't help either.

"...Excuse me," Orbot spoke up, making Sonic look at him, "I have been meaning to ask but...if we do not rescue your friend in time...may I be your sidekick?" Sonic gave him a small glare, "...Never mind. Terrible way to break the proverbial ice. Plus...well, I just thought it might be better to work for you than Eggman."

"I'm right here, ya know," Eggman frowned.

"Big whoop dee do for you," Sonic scoffed at him before looking back at Orbot, "And I'm not giving up. I'm gonna save Tails and snap Ben back to his senses."

"See? It is stuff like that that makes me want to be your sidekick," Orbot pointed out, "Your friend is lucky."

"Seriously, I'm right here. I can still hear you," Eggman growled in annoyance.

"Shut up, you fool! Can you not see we are checking up on this foolish patient?" Cubot demanded, his voice deep yet his purple still there, "Sorry about that. Split personality for this voice chip, I suppose. Oh shut up, you fool! Now that's just mean. I said shut up!"

Makoto sweatdropped nervously at that before she heard Roll beginning to stir. The Beastkin looked down to see the hedgefox starting to regain consciousness.

"She's waking up," Makoto informed.

"Easy now, Roll, I don't have any orange juice," Cubot advised, "Oh hush up, you imbecile. Well, it's true. We don't have any orange juice and everyone knows that-SILENCE!"

"Ite…" Roll mumbled, her throat a bit hoarse as her eyes slowly began to open, "Wh...what happened?"

"Eh? You don't remember?" Makoto blinked.

Roll shook head before hissing, "Ite...everything...hurts…"

"Your body went through a lot of strain earlier," Cubot informed, "I'll go and get some ice to make a sno-cone for you. Your only flavor choices are plain and DOOM! Mwahahahaha! What about yellow? Oh dear god, will you shut up?!"

"..."

"New voice chip gave him a split personality," Makoto informed.

"I...see…" Roll noted before wincing a bit as she managed to turn her gaze to Sonic.

"Hey…" Sonic greeted, trying to keep a small smile on his face as he looked at the hedgefox, "Glad to see you awake, Roll."

Roll managed a small smile.

"...Looks like the storm's let up," sonic noted as he turned his head to see the Blizzard outside die down, "...I'm gonna go on ahead and check the mountain out real quick," he then turned his head to the girls, "You rest until I get back, ok?"

"Hai…" Roll replied as Yacker managed to wake up, "Go...with Soni...kku...Yacker-chan."

Yacker saluted and floated into Sonic's quills. Everyone but Sonic blinked at the blue hedgehog as they saw his top quill was now sporting a snot bubble. Sonic didn't pay attention as he ran out of the cave, leaving the girls, the two bots, and Eggman by themselves.

Back with Tsubaki, the crimson haired girl yawned as she began to wake up. She didn't realize she had fallen asleep when she was thinking on how to snape Ben back to normal. She soon turned her head to see that the storm had subsided, but she didn't know if it was temporary or not.

"...I need to hurry before it starts back up again," Tsubaki said to herself as she stood up. She was about to leave the cave before she noticed a shadowed figure a bit far to the right, the figure climbing up the mountain side a bit, "What?"

She didn't know if this figure was Sonic, or one of the Zeti. But she had no time to waste as she quietly climbed back up the mountain, secretly following the figure along the way.

Back with Sonic, the hedgehog was taking a quick survey of the area before stopping in front of a cliff. He looked over it before giving a small gulp, seeing various clouds down below. If he wasn't paying attention, he could've fallen off and landed who knows where...that is if he survived, that is.

"...I better head back to the others before.." Sonic began before he heard Yacker let out a scream, causing him to turn before he barely dodged a Mobian sized fireball sent straight at him, "Gah! Please tell me Eggman didn't make a Burn Bot and the Zeti have it now..."

"#$QGDS! ZETI!" Yacker shouted as he pointed behind Sonic.

"Of course…" Sonic sighed before turning around, "I swear, if it's the fat one again, this won't end well. In fact, f..." he paused before frowning upon seeing which Zeti it was, "..."

"Hello...Sonic," a certain red Zeti greeted.

"Where's Tails?" Sonic scowled.

"He is fine...for now," Zavok explained before giving a small, dark smirk, "Soon, he'll be better...as a machine."

"?!" Sonic's eyes widened, "You found an actual working Roboticizer?"

"...If you're talking about the machine Eggman uses to transform your kind into machines, then yes."

"...You harm one hair on his head..!" Sonic began with a growl.

"Oh don't worry. Once he's a machine, he'll be much happier," Zavok chuckled darkly as he leapt back.

"Hey! Get back here!" Sonic shouted as he chased after him, Yacker clinging tightly to his top quill.

Back at the cave, Roll was resting on the cave wall, her body still sore, as Orbot and Cubot kept a close eye on her. Makoto had left not too long ago to find anything to possibly eat or drink.

"...Orbot, Cubot," Eggman spoke up, making the two robots turn before their creator grabbed them by the head, "Come with me. I need to do a quick repair."

'But...I am…"Orbot began.

"I meant for Cubot," Eggman frowned.

"Did I do something?" Cubot asked, "You foolish oaf of a fat fool! I will strangle the life out of you and use your skull as a sports cup! I'm really sorry about that. No we aren't! I am at least."

Eggman's eye twitched a bit at that as he smashed Cubot's head against the cave wall, making him switch 'personalities' once more.

"Doh...Cubot hazzzz a mazzzive headache…" Eggman smashed his head once more, "Tsk. Oh you are so~ terrible." three smashes on the wall, "How dare you smash my head, you fat imbecile?!" Eggman smash, "Greetings. I am Cubot, your personal health robot."

"..." Orbot and Eggman shared glances at each other before the latter shook his head a bit as he put the two bots down and took his tools out.

"J...Just be quiet so I can fix you, Cubot," the fat doctor stated as he got to work.

Roll didn't seem to be paying attention as she looked at the entrance to the cave, a worried look on her face.

'I hope they're okay...' Roll thought before she noticed something blur by the cave entrance, '?!' "O...Orbot-san…"

"Yes?" Orbot asked, poking his head from behind Eggman before the fat doctor pushed him back.

"I...I thought I...saw something...just now."

"You may have trouble with your vision due to the stress your body has gone under," Cubot noted.

"Quiet, you," Eggman frowned.

"N...no. I'm serious. I s…" roll began.

"You be quiet! I'm trying to…!" Eggman began before he felt something strike him in the back of the head, "...Buttermilk...biscuits…" he dizzily said before falling face first on top of Orbot and Cubot.

Roll let out a small squeak of fright at that.

"Apologies, but I couldn't bare to hear another word from that fat fool," a voice spoke up.

"Wh-Who's...there…?" Roll asked, her eyes looking around.

A blur soon dashed by her before landing on top of the knocked out Eggman, the blur revealing itself as Zik.

"Oh my...An elder Zeti?" Roll blinked, 'Not good. Not good. Not good at all. Mou...Why did my body have to be useless right now?'

"I was originally going to stall you while my pupil and the boy dealt with your friends, but…" Zik began as he sat down, "With the current condition you are in, it seems I might not need to lift a finger afterall."

"Pu...pil?" Roll repeated.

"It is Zavok, in case you were wondering," Zik answered, making Roll's eyes widen, "Shall we play a game until my pupil comes here? If you have any questions, I will answer them but you may not know if they are half-truths, lies, or honest. Each time you ask one, I will ask one in return, your answer much like mine will be."

"Wh...Why?"

"I have lived for many years, so I like to find amusement in things that seem trivial," Zik replied.

"I...see…" Roll noted, "...Why?"

'"Hmm?"

"Why..are you and..the other...Zeti..doing this? Controlling Ben-san...draining..the life..from our home...why?"

"Ah...It is because of a simple thing; the Zeti have always believed in the saying 'The Strong Command All,'" Zik informed, "Zavok does this because he believes that he is the strongest of anyone." he looked out at the snow outside the cave, "Now tell me, where did you find a Wisp? It has been many a year since I last gazed upon one."

"I...had found him..when I was held..captive...by these Mobians called..the Battle Bird...Armada," Roll answered.

"Held captive? Interesting…" Zik noted.

"Hai...for wh..what..I'm..not sure..." Roll added before asking, "Ano...who..is this...'boy' you mentioned before?"

"Was it not obvious? Ben Tennyson."

"Wh..what?"

"Yes..he had tagged along so he could face the Beastkin personally."

"Oh no...Makoto-chan."

"Now then, did you know that Wisps cannot do what your Wisp can? Alter their appearances at will or inhabit inanimate objects?"

"N...no I didn't…"

"Indeed. Perhaps it is some sort of evolution or an experimentation," Zik noted, "But whatever it is, the ability to willingly alter a Wisp's form like that is unheard of."

"I...I see...I..I have one last question...w...where is..T..Tsubaki-chan?"

"Tsubaki? Ah, the red-haired one. I do apologize, but I have no clue where she is," Zik informed, "After she escaped from Benjamin's grip, she has, as you young ones these days say, disappeared under the radar...if you will."

"I...I see…"

"And now for my last question...How was it that you were able to channel over sixteen different Wisps all at once? Anyone else who has tried it has exploded mere seconds after they tried to use more than one," Zik noted.

"I...I did...what?" Roll asked, looking at the elder Zeti with wide eyes.

"Ah...Memory loss," Zik frowned as he reached into his robes, "Fortunately, the young boy extracted this 'video file' as he put it for further study." he pulled out a small cube and pressed the top, "What you will see is a first-person view of yourself when you used all those Wisps at once."

Roll didn't say a word as she watched the holographic screen that formed, showing her transformed self as she easily defeated Lien-Da, Sally, and the Omniborgs. She never even knew there were that many types Yacker could change into.

"As you can see, the power of all 16 different Wisp at once is truly powerful," Zik explained as the screen shut off and returned to the cube, "And yet, here you are; still alive despite having all sixteen types of Wisp at once inside of you."

"I...I really...did all..that?" Roll whispered, her eyes still widened in shock.

"Indeed. From what I could tell, if you assume that form again, you could take on all of us at once...and slaughter us all," Zik informed, "But doing so may injure your body beyond any chance of repair."

Roll's eyes further widened upon hearing that. If she transformed into that form again, she might not be able to move ever again...or worse.

"Now then, it would not do at all to have someone with such potential to stay injured such as this," Zik noted before taking out a small satchel.

"Wh...What?"

"Like I said; I have lived for a long time," Zik informed before removing a single bean from the satchel, "As such, I have learned much and seen more than I have learned." he approached her, "This is a Senzu bean, once a thriving plant on a planet long lost. Eat this and you need not worry about your injuries nor any hunger." he put it into her hand, "Then again, I could be lying and it is actually a venomous plant designed to destroy your mind slowly and painfully until you are nothing but a mere vegetable. It is a risk you may have to take if you want any chance against my kind, especially my pupil."

Roll looked at the elder Zeti for a few more moments before looking down at the bean in her hand. She looked up again to see Zik was gone, not a single sign of his presence aside from Eggman's unconscious form and the bean.

Meanwhile with Makoto, the Squirrel Beastkin was finishing up gathering as much fruit as she could after filling up a small canteen with water. She really hoped that Roll was doing better now. Just as she was leaving the area, she didn't notice a black, vine like 'tendrel' slowly slithering towards her.

"Okay, I think this is enough for everyone," Makoto noted as she looked in her leaf-made backpack, "I hope Roll isn't allergic to any of these fruits. Ben w..." she soon stopped herself when she mentioned his name, "...Ben-kun…"

Before she could say or think anything, she felt something wrapped around her leg before it dragged her onto the ground, making her drop all the food.

=Hello=

Makoto's eyes widened when she looked up to see a black 'puddle' of sorts oozing out of the shadows, the tendril originating from said 'puddle.' It began to rise up and form, revealing it was Zen.

"Ben…"

=First off; it's Zen. And second; happy to see me, sexy?= the fist that knocked him through a tree and release Makoto was his response =...Guess not=

Makoto glared at the controlled Galvanic Mechamorph as she got into a fighting stance just as Zen reformed.

=Oh come now. Surely you're a bit happy to see m...=

"Comet Cannon: Break shot!" Makoto shouted as she summoned an energy sphere and punched it at him.

=Yipe!= Zen yelped as he quickly made a hole in his body to let the sphere go through it =Is that anyway to treat your friends?!=

"Urusei…" Makoto frowned as she glared at him, "You're not my friend. Or rather...you're not the one I know…"

Zen raised an non-existent eyebrow at that.

"You're not yourself...your mind is twisted...which is why…" Makoto began as she slightly cracked her neck a bit, "I'm going to snap you back to your senses, by any means necessary."

=...Fine. Let me just change into something more..fitting= Zen answered as his form began to change, incorporating some of the junk he had discreetly taken from the base into it.

Makoto readied herself...until Zen's shadow covered her. Slowly looking up, she let out a small squeak. Before her was now a forty-foot-tall tyrannosaurus rex in Upgrade's coloring. Zen tilted his head back and roared, the air heating up around his mouth area.

'Aw crap. He remembered Grimlock,' Makoto thought.

Zen(Grimlock form) Vs Makoto=Nanaya.

Stage: Silent Forest - It's said the most fearsome warrior is not the savage one, but the one who directs the savage one.

"Hoo boy. This is going to be hard," Makoto gulped a bit as she prepared herself for battle.

=RAAAAHHHH!= Zen roared as he slammed his makeshift tail into the ground.

THE WHEEL OF FATE IS TURNING! REBEL-2! ACTION!

(Cue: Power to Tearer (Instrumental version))

Makoto was quick to dodge the green laser Zen fired from his jaws. Rolling a bit, she used it to charge at him.

"Corona Upper!" Makoto declared as she delivered an uppercut to Zen's jaw, causing him to stagger back a bit before correcting himself almost instantly and spun, his tail slamming Makoto into the ground, "Gah!"

Dark green flames started to form in Zen's mouth as he fired an dark green fireball at the Beastkin, who quickly rolled out of the way before she was slammed into a tree by the explosion. Makoto coughed up a bit of blood before wiping some off her lip as she got into a stance, her symbol briefly appearing behind her as she reeled her arm back.

"Big Bang Smash!" Makoto shouted as she punched forward, sending a giant energy fist at Zen.

Zen crouched down and quickly jumped over the strike before his body shifted. His tail folded and unfolded into a pair of strong feet and legs as his legs changed into arms and hands. His head folded back to reveal a more humanoid head that was primarily black with a green visor. The transformed Zen swung a fist down and Makoto barely dodged the impact.

"Comet Cannon: Break Shot!" Makoto shouted as she summoned another energy sphere and punched it straight at Zen's face, the transformed Galvanic Mechamorph wincing as he held his 'face' in pain, staggering back a few inches before shaking the pain off.

His arms rippled before the hands sunk into them. His lower arms began to spin before he released a volley of green laser blasts. Makoto cried out as the blasts obscured her from sight.

FINISH!

The smoke cleared and Zen growled. Makoto wasn't there anymore. A few kilometers away, Makoto panted as she jumped tree from tree to where the others were, hoping they were okay. Neither was unaware of Zik, sitting on a tree branch above them, having watched the fight.

"Hmm...while the Beastkin is powerful, she should fix that fighting style of hers if she wants to stand a chance next time," the elder Zeti noted before looking off into the sky, "Now...let us see how the hedgehog is faring against my pupil."

Back with Sonic, the hedgehog skidded to a halt when he noticed he was in a more mountainous area with pieces of ruins scattered about. He was about to look around before he felt Tails' device go off in his quills, causing him to pull it out and answered it.

=S...s...nic..sorry..but i..late for us= Amy's voice spoke, static interrupting her as muffled explosions occurred in the background.

"Amy? Amy, what's going on?" Sonic asked as Yacker peeked out from Sonic's quills.

-S...ave...world...kick..utt..for all of us...I..orry..i never g..- Amy tried to say before teh connection was lost.

"Amy?! Haseo! ?!"

"It seems one by one, your friends are falling," a voice noted, making sonic turn to see Zavok standing on a piece of the ruin not too far from him, "Soon...you'll be all alone." Sonic started trembling as he fell to his knees, "As we speak, Zen is most likely dealing with that Beastkin."

'Makoto...' Sonic thought.

"Perhaps my teacher has already handled the hedgefox as well."

'Roll...'

"And, soon, your little two-tailed friend will be a mindless machine working for just we Zeti while your little Wisp will be my main course," Zavok continued.

'Tails...'

"Now...to end this," Zavok informed.

Cue: Now you've Really Crossed the Line

Sonic's eyes snapped open, revealing they had become a solid white, as his blue quills turned pitch black. Zavok raised a brow.

"You bastard," Sonic spat out as a dark aura covered him, his peach fur turning pitch black as well, his mouth seeming to be silent.

"What's this?" Zavok raised a brow as Sonic stood up and faced him, the hedgehog's quills pointing straight up, "Hm?" looking behind him, he saw the Wisp trembling behind one of the still-standing pillars of the ruins around them, "Strange. Why would that Wisp stay there?"

Before he could ponder this further, Zavok let out a cry of pain when he felt Sonic's foot against his stomach, the Zeti soon rocketing back a few feet from the force of the kick before he crashed into a set of ruins, shattering them into pieces of rubble and dust. He erupted out them with a cold glare, charging right at Sonic. He swung a fist at the hedgehog, but Sonic merely held up a lone hand. The fist collided with the open palm and a shockwave occurred, making Yacker hide behind another ruin due to his pillar falling over. Zavok pulled his fist back...only to realize it wasn't budging from the hedgehog's palm as he clenched down on it. A burst of dark energy pulsed from Sonic's grip before he reeled back his fist and swung it at Zavok. Zavok grunted as the fist slammed into the side of his face before he was sent rocketing away from the hedgehog, destroying more of the ruins behind the red Zeti.

'Damn it...' Zavok cursed as he bursted from the rubble once more, blood dripping from his mouth a bit as he glared at teh hedgehog, 'Just..what is this hedgehog?'

Sonic held his hand out before a blade made of dark flames formed in his hand. He slashed down with it, sending a cutting wave of dark flames at Zavok. Zavok readied himself before a blur dispersed the flames. Zik landed on top of his staff, looking solely at the hedgehog.

"Ah. Master," Zavok noted, "It seems you finished y…"

"The Satsui no Hado," Zik interrupted.

"What?"

"To think that I would see someone outside of those who know the Assassin's Fist able to tap into this," Zik continued before taking out a small satchel, "Best to calm him down before he kills you, Zavok."

With that, he opened the satchel and threw it at Sonic. Sonic swung his blade and cut through it, releasing a flurry of cherry blossoms on the hedgehog. Zik pulled out a small gong and lightly tapped it.

"Ease your mind," Zik ordered, taping his small gong each time he finished a sentence, "Release your anger, your hatred, your murderous intent. Let your sadness ebb away. Free the light held within." slowly, with each ta of Zik's gong, the aura of darkness began to fade away, "Worry not for those threatened. They are safe. Slightly injured, but safe."

"Cap…?"

"No. Escaped," Zik corrected before Zavok could finish, "Yes...Yes…! That is it. Do not let your evil consume you."

"Ugh…" Sonic groaned as he collapsed to his knees, back to normal.

"I do not fear you, hedgehog, I fear for you," Zik informed, "You allowed your darkness to rise up, overwhelm you. Now, it will continue to threaten you until you can achieve balance. Each time you reach a certain level of negativity, you will enter that state. You will have no qualms with killing, even slaughtering those you have sworn to protect will be an intense desire for you in that state. So long as you can battle, to shed blood from yourself and others, you will not stop fighting in that state." Zik turned away from the hedgehog, his eyes closed, "Keep your 'light' strong, your friends and loved ones close, while you try to attain inner peace. Otherwise, the Satsui no Hado-the Surge of Murderous Intent-will consume you and you will no longer be Sonic the Hedgehog...but a demon." he hopped off his staff, picked it up, and walked past Zavok, "Zavok, we are retreating for now. You appear to be in need of a few more lessons."

"...What of Zen, master?"

"Let him vent himself," Zik replied, "He fell for a simple trick and is right now on a small rampage. Strangely, the Beastkin seemed to have experience with the form Zen decided to take for the fight."

"...I see…" Zavok noted as he shot one last look at sonic, "Do not think this is over, hedgehog."

With that said, the two Zeti left the area, leaving Sonic by himself. Yacker slowly peeked out of the jug he had hidden in and saw Sonic was back. Thankful the black hedgehog was gone, he zipped back over to him. Sonic wasn't paying much attention to Yacker as he looked at the ground. That dark power… He never felt anything like it before. If it came back, who knows w...he soon quickly shook his head of the thought, remembering Zik's words.

"I don't get it," Sonic frowned, not even noticing his petting Yacker's head, "Why would a Zeti tell me that?" his eyes widened, "The others! Yacker, we've gotta get back!"

Yacker saluted, "LASER!"

Quicky changing into his cyan Wisp form, he shot into Sonic. The hedgehog glowed before shooting off as a cyan laser, bouncing off the various flat surfaces towards the cave.

Back at said cave, Roll was still in deep thought as she stared at the bean in her hand. Closing her eyes, she hissed as she made her arm rise up. Through her pain, she managed to get the bean into her mouth and swallowed. Her eyes snapped wide open before she hopped up and zipped around the inside of the cave.

"Wh-Whoa!" Roll exclaimed, "I...I don't feel the pain anymore. And...I don't feel hungry either." she stretched a bit before frowning, "But...Why did he give me it? And why did it feel like he was more interested in me than in Yacker-chan?" Eggman's groaned earned her attention, "Oh! Are you okay?"

"Ugh…" Eggman groaned.

"Ow...that hurt.." Orbot winced as he and Cubot stood up.

"Ow...this hurts more than the time Sonic tricked us into running into that trash compactor," Cubot winced.

"...Eggman-san, did you turn them into a hydra?" Roll tilted her head.

"What?" Orbot blinked when he noticed Cubot was attached to him, "...oh no…"

"Ah sweet! Th.." Cubot began before Eggman bonked him on the head, causing a small bump to appear on it, "This is unacceptable!-!-!" Roll bonked his head quickly with her tail, making the yellow turn blue, "...Hello."

"...Nothing seems to be wrong so far with this one," Eggman noted.

"Oh my God! Orbot is attached to my body!"

"...And I just jinxed it," Eggman sighed.

"Quick! Someone g..." Cubot began in his panicked state before a blur shot into the cave before skidding to a halt.

"Sonniku!" Roll gasped before Yacker flew over to her, "Oh! Are you okay, Yacker-chan? You look like you just watched another scary movie." she looked over at Sonic, "Daijobu?"

"Yeah...I am," Sonic nodded before he blinked, "...uh first; that was a quick recovery Roll. And second; where's Makoto?"

"W-Well...Cubot-chan and Orbot-san were good helpers," Roll replied, "As for Makoto-chan, she went out to get some food and water, but I haven't…"

"Minna!" Makoto's voice shouted as the Beastkin wan to the cave, panting heavily as she stopped, "W...we need to move..now." she noticed Roll, "Okay...How are you on your feet now? It hasn't even been a full day since you woke up."

"We are the bestest nurses ever!" Cubot cheered.

"..."

"..." Eggman facepalmed, "I tried slapping him five times already, but I think he's stuck on that for a while."

"Why must we flee?" Orbot asked.

"Zen's mostly nearby, and he took on a form similar to Grimlock!" Makoto exclaimed, causing both Sonic and Roll to pale.

"Huh? What the heck is a Grimlock?"

"GRIMLOCK?!" Sonic and Roll exclaimed as Yacker squeaked before fainting.

"Seriously! What is a Grim…?!" Eggman began before a metallic roar reverberated in the air, "...I agree. Let's flee now."

"No need to tell me twice," Sonic said as he and Roll grabbed Makoto, Orbot and Cubot, and Eggman with ease before dashing out of the cave and running straight up the mountain.

Back with Tsubaki, she had managed to climb to the top of the mountain, the crimson haired girl heavily panting as she collapsed. She lost track of that figure, but something else caught her attention..the area suddenly began to feel warmer..almost hot. She slowly looked up before her eyes widened, seeing a few rivers and lakes of lava and magma with various pipes coming out of them. In the distance was a large metal building of sorts with a familiar logo on it...then she noticed that it was painted over by a tagger to make it look like a clown's face. Tsubaki couldn't help but sweatdrop at that before she shook her head.

"I can't get distracted...I need to focus," Tsubaki told herself as she soon made her way towards the base, her mission still in her mind.

Back with the Zeti, Zavok frowned as he and Zommom finished strapping Tails down to a metal table...well, mostly Zavok as Zommom was busy munching down on a sandwich.

"Your friend has embarrassed me for the last time," the red Zeti frowned as he turned and began to enter a few commands into a console that was next to the table Tails was strapped down on.

"What friend?" Zommom asked.

"The blue one," Zavok frowned.

"You mean the one Zik says has that Tatooine thingy?"

Zavok facepalmed, "Satsui no Hado. And I still doubt that to be what it is. The fighting style linked to that technique died out centuries ago."

"You realize that I have no idea what you're talking about," Tails deadpanned.

"Zik thinks your blue friend has this really dangerous ability that woke up because Zavok had to say some taunting stuff and that the thingy the blue guy used is one that causes senseless killing of both enemies and allies since the guy who uses it sees everyone as an enemy and…" Zommom informed, making Tails's eyes widen and his face pale with each word.

"Zommom!"

"..." Zommom quickly took a bite of his sandwich, keeping his eyes focused on Zavok's glaring ones, while also aiming a strange grey and pink device at Tails.

"There are times one speaks...and times one doesn't..." Zavok frowned before glaring at Tails and snapping him out of his fright,"And you, young fox, will be the instrument of my revenge. So enjoy your last moments of free will, for when we return…" he paused as he entered one last command on the console, turning the machine on, "You will be our slave."

"It'll be fun to have your little buddy scramble you like an omelet!" Zommom beamed before drooling and putting his sandwich on the table near Tails's left foot, "Omelet...mmmmm."

Zavok just sighed at Zommom's stupidity as the two Zeti's left the room, leaving Tails by himself as the machine's start up time began to countdown.

Tails struggled for a few moments before he noticed something: Zommom had forgotten his sandwich. It was then he got an idea as he used one of his tails to grab the single toothpick that stuck out of the sandwich. If he could make a TV out of paperclips and reprogram a supercomputer using only dishwashing detergent and a toothpick, then this should be easy.

'Best of all...' Tails thought with a sly smile on his face, '...I won't even need the detergent for this.'

Unaware to him, a pair of eyes was observing what he was doing. Minutes later, Zik walked along a metal bridge over one of the machines of the structure.

"Ah, there you are, Lien-Da," Zik noted, "I'm pleased to see you arrived as I hoped you would."

Lien-da gave a slight nod in response as she stood next to the elder Zeti, the female Echidna having bandages over her waist while her right arm was in a cast. The two looked out at the sights before them for a few quiet moments.

"In the field of battle, plans will never go as they are supposed to," Zik informed, "But I am quite pleased that you were able to return. Alter your species and gender and I would say that you are much like Zavok when he was beginning his lessons under my tutelage."

Lien-Da remained quiet for a few more moments before she looked down at the elder Zeti.

"What is it you need to see me about, Master Zik?"

"Tell me, with your experience involving the blue hedgehog, even with the boost the energy we've drained from your world has given us...would we be able to beat him?" Zik asked.

"...Knowing him…" Lien-Da paused as she looked back out into the distance, "...he'll figure out a way to beat you all…" she frowned, "...He always does."

Zik nodded, "Lien-Da, you are the one who is in charge of ordering that technorganic we have here-Sally, was it?-, yes?"

"Yes, but..with most of her original personality restored, it's impossible to give her orders."

"I have an order for you, then; should Zazz, Zommom, and Zor be taken down by them and they make it in here, take her and leave the area," Zik ordered, "I would rather you not be taken down with us and there are still uses for the girl that you can use against the blue one. But avoid harming her in front of the blue hedgehog. Zavok has caused a foolish mistake; he's awoken a forbidden skill within the hedgehog; one that kills discriminately and without reason."

"...and the hedgefox?"

"She is a mystery, wrapped within a realm of the unknown," Zik informed after a moment of thought, "By all rights, she should have died in the first five seconds of using so many Wisps at once, all focused through her very body. And yet, when I saw her, she was merely in pain from the strain it had upon her body." he looked up at her, "Examine her, learn her techniques, make sure to not be noticed. Do as much as you can to try to understand how she is able to do what she did then. And when you do, I hope you can show her up."

"...of course..Master Zik," Lien-Da nodded in response, "Is that all you wish to tell me?"

Master Zik nodded, "That is all I wish to say, but the rest…" he reached into his sleeve and pulled out a scroll, "...is in here. I would like for you to pass on the fighting style the Zeti originally used years ago, long before we became what we have now. Even Zavok is unaware of this scroll's existence for it can only be used by certain fighters and I believe you fit the requirements for it." before she could say anything, he put it into her hand, "Never let the other Zeti see this scroll, never speak of its existence to them and deny its existence should they question. Make sure to go through each stance and never move on until you are able to perform the previous stance blindfolded in a room with a low breathable atmosphere."

Lien-Da remained quiet as she stared at the scroll in her hand. She was about to ask Zik why he would entrust it to her, but..the moment she looked down, he was already gone.

SZ;...Hoo boy. Things are about to go down next chapter.

GT: Yep-yep-yep. And for once, no one broke the 4th wall. Good thing I Pinkie and Warai-proofed it. *looks over at said wall, where Pinkie and Warai were trying to break it down but to no avail*

SZ: Good..cause I am getting a bit tired repairing that damn thing whenever you're not around. seriously, it was like the 15th, maybe 20th time they broke it. But now..i'd to see them break it this time!

GT: ...Dammit, I forgot to Murphy's Law-proof it.

Deadpool: *drives right through it in a tricycle with rockets strapped to it* Booyah!

GT: ...I demand a raise!

SZ;...*eye twitches*DAMN IT WADE!

Deadpool: Whatevah! I do what I want!
