Chapter 32:The Warehouse
Chitose and her Golems come home before dinner. Primrose and Sebastian are now replacing Chitose doing the house chores. Toya was busy all day with the video and I was his assistant. Every time, he heard Seiji's voice, Toya wanted to cry. But he knew, that he shouldn't feel sad anymore. Because it's a new chapter for his live.
Chitose brings us new jacket that he bought from Grave Keeper's Village. Mine is red, and Toya's blue. Our favorite colors. After Chitose takes a bath, we are ready for the dinner.
"Chitose…" Toya says with gloomy voice. "I'm sorry we couldn't find anything from the video. But…" He clenches his fist firmly. "I know my brother wasn't dying in vain."
Chitose's lips tremble, she will burst to tears with no time. But she's doing her best to reply Toya with her hug. Chitose must really thinking the same as Toya too. Although I'm not a part of this, but I know that Seiji wasn't dying in vain.
Actually, Toya doesn't tell Chitose what exactly he saw and heard on the video is. It's really terrible. Seiji recorded all of what he saw until the very last of his breath, except the killer's face. When he walked down to the chamber just to prepare to burn something, apparently he still put his camera in front of his eyes. Suddenly, there's a person stabbed him from his back. The camera fell, and the lens covered with snow. It didn't record what happened next, but it recorded the sounds. Seiji was screaming for help and tried to run several times, probably the killer dragged him to the ground, and stabbed him again. We can heard the killer walked away from Seiji, leaved him alone. Perhaps Seiji was lying down next to his camera, because we can heard his breath until the last one. I want to stop to imagine the murder scene, but Seiji last breath keeps repeating inside my mind.
We end up in the warehouse after dinner. Chitose wants to rebuild the box that was destroyed by herself in that night. Apparently, Chitose snuck to the warehouse the other night to take some of the documents, but since we disturbed her, she was surprised and without thinking, left the scene with secret passage which is located inside here.
"Just push the switch here, you can hear a click sound and the secret passage will open. We built it just in case. Of course it thanks to our Golems too for the help." She explains.
Ah, that explains the click sounds I heard when I pressed the wrong switch. It's good to know that at last.
"These are Seiji and my things back in the Yokohama. After we moved in, the things were too much, so we keep it inside Enchant Item Box. I use these boxes to create one line labyrinth in here. So when enemies come to attack us, they'll think this was only a warehouse, just like you two." She continues.
"That's amazing!" Shouts Toya. "So where does the secret passage lead to?"
"Everywhere." Chitose cheerfully says. "We will go to London City next week using this secret passage. Or maybe you want to go to Kyoto City? Or Yokohama City? Or just wandering around this snow field? It's up to you now."
"It's so incredible. How come you made all these?" Toya seems impressed.
"It was hard time. We used so many Golems." She's reminiscing. "After we decided to move here, we fought so many Golems and reset the core so we will become their master and have they worked for us. About three months, the house was ready, but not the secret passage. We waited for a year and a half month until it was fully built. After that, we moved in. the secret passage makes everything so easy. Whenever I want to go to shopping at Yokohama, I just use the secret passage. And when I don't want to fight any Golem, I use it too to go to Grave Keeper's Village. Lately, I go to Grave Keeper's Village, but I didn't use the secret passage because I need to fight Golems to earn money for our vacation that I've already planned long time ago. "
We are astonished by this house after learning the truth. It isn't just a crappy little house, it's an amazing incredible little house! We help Chitose tidy up the boxes. We're also discussing where we should go. Toya insists that we should go to Yokohama City but it is the longest route to bear with. It takes one day to travel to Yokohama. I suggest we go to London City as Chitose has planned. It nearer than Yokohama, it only takes half day. And it's the most modern city in the world. Toya rubs his chin several times and says, "You're right. We will move to Yokohama after the research tough."
So our final decision is London. London City wait for us!
