-Kitty's POV-

Bursting through the hospital doors, I ignored all the surprised looks I received from near bystanders and searched for Toby. It wasn't long before I spotted him sitting in the waiting room with an amused smile on his face.

"Took you long enough. What, did you run here?" He joked, strolling up to me as I caught my breath back.

"Actually...Yeah." I reply, smiling a little at the disbelieving look the man sent my way. He raised the signature Wilde eyebrow before looking behind me with a questioning look on his face.

"I thought Marley was with you?" He asked more than stated and that's when realization hit that I hadn't seen (or more accurately, heard) Marley running behind me for quite a little while now.

Just when I was about to respond with worry, a sound identical to when I had entered the room burst into the room once more and just like moments ago, everyone around us jumped in sync with surprise. It was actually pretty funny...Well, they didn't seem to think so.

I suddenly felt a heavy weight on my shoulder and I don't mean hypothetically, there was literally a heavy weight on my left shoulder and I turned my head to the side to see a panting, red faced Marley leaning on me.

"How...How the hell can you run so fast?" She managed to breathe out whilst leaning more of her weight on me almost causing me to fall before I strengthened my stance. I chuckled a little but before I had the chance to answer, Toby beat me to it.

"Us Wilde's have great stamina, Marley." He informed her, causing me to blush wildly at where my mind went with that sentence. The others didn't seem to realise as Marley was still leaning heavily on my shoulder whilst Toby was just smiling her way.

"So, um, how is she?" I ask nervously, suddenly feeling a whole ton of nerves begin to wash over me. Toby turns his head back to me with a comforting smile on his face, which managed to calm me down slightly.

"She wants to see you." He answered softly and I sucked in a deep breath before looking to Marley, nervous and seeking the comfort she provides.

Luckily, she seems to notice and understand my silent pleading. Her breathing had calmed down now, however she was still leaning on me. Not like she was before, when she needed to, this time she was doing it because she wanted to. And already that thought alone managed to comfort me a little more.

"It's okay hon, you're gonna be fine." She smiled that dazzling Rose smile at me and I found myself now calmed completely. "But don't think you're off the hook for earlier, we're gonna talk about this guy who messed up your pretty face." She exclaimed with a glint in her eye as she used a single finger to gently stroke down the side of my face.

"Yeah," I drawled out, sheepishly offering the brunette an apologetic grin in return to the bringing up of my...coping. "I can explain that to you."

"Really?" Marley raises her eyebrow in question with a teasing look in her eye. I wait a few seconds until the serious look on my face breaks to form a playful one.

"No." I admit, causing a cute laugh to escape from the brunettes lips before they pressed softly against my cheek.

"Didn't think so," she spoke with affection, which brought me relief to think she wasn't mad. Her lips pressed themselves against my cheek once more and I pulled her in closer to keep her there, my eyes closing slowly due to the comfort she brings. "I love you," she whispers against my cheek, making me bury my head into her neck in return to her words, breathing as much of her in as I possibly could. Never finding myself able to get enough of her.

We stayed in our embrace for just a few seconds, but it felt like hours to me. She brought her hands to gently take hold of my face and lift it so that I was now looking into her eyes, once again finding myself getting lost in pools of blue.

Without another word, I felt her soft lips press onto mine softly. The touch was so light it was barely there but I could feel it more than I'd felt anything before. Releasing my lips of her hold, she touched her forehead with mine, her fingers gently stroking the back of my neck which caused light shivers to race through my body.

"What if she hates me?" I speak, so softly that it could pass as a whisper but I knew Marley heard me from the surprise that shone in her eyes. "The last time I saw her I said some...horrible things...unforgivable things...Marley, what if she hates me? What if she never wants to see me again? What if-"

"What if, what if, what if...Kitty, you're never gonna know what's going to happen unless you go and make it happen. Now, how about you stop guessing what your mom's feeling and go and see for yourself what she's actually feeling? If you keep thinking about all the bad, how can you ever start seeing the good? What if she hates you? What if she loves you? What if she wants you out of her life forever? What if she never wants you to leave? Life is full of endless 'what ifs' Kit...It's your choice which one you want to happen." Marley tells me gently with a soft smile and I swear to god, I fall in love with this girl more and more every single day.

"Really?" I whisper, the corner of my lips tugging up slightly to create a small smile.

"Really...Although, if it were me, I would definitely not want you to leave. She's your mom Kitty and she loves you, I know she does. Why else would she want to see you?" She asks and I nod my head in agreement with her, my nerves and hesitation slowly slipping away with each word she spoke.

"Did I tell you how much I love you?"

"Hmm...Once or twice, but it couldn't hurt to do it again, now could it?" She responds teasingly making me chuckle slightly, looking down before looking back up into her eyes with a soft and genuine smile.

"I. Love. You. Marley Rose." I tell her, making sure to speak each word with as much truth and love as I possibly could.

She smiles her beautiful smile at me and I'm struck speechless. Luckily I didn't need words, as my lips were needed for other things. Her lips stayed against mine for a few more seconds before she pulled away the smallest of inches to speak words.

"I love you, too." She exclaimed, pecking my lips once more before pulling away completely, ignoring my protests. "Now, you go get your cute butt in that hospital room. I think we've kept your mother waiting long enough."

"O-Okay," I agreed shakily and with one last, longing look at her encouraging smile, I turned away and slowly willed my legs to move towards the hospital room.

I sucked in another deep breath before finding the strength within me to turn the handle and walk inside.

I don't know whether it was luck or not, but it turns out mom must have been pretty tired since she was sleeping soundly in the hospital bed. Other than the bandage wrapped around her head for a reason unknown to me, she looked fine...Well, as fine as a person who just had a heart attack could look. Her blonde hair was splattered across the blue of the pillow and for the first time in a long time, she looked almost peaceful. With that calming thought in my mind, I try and get my feet to move those last couple steps toward her, except they chose this moment to stop working completely.

Come on, Kitty. You can do this.

Jesus Christ, are you actually being supportive? What the hell happened to you?

Oh, what so now you want me to go back to being a bitch and criticizing everything you do because you're an idiot?

Okay, wow um first, hurtful. And second-

Ugh, you're already boring me...Just go talk to mom already! What the hell are you waiting for, a freaking medal?

Wha- No, I was just-

Just what?

I don't know, just-

Just what?

Well, maybe if you let me finish-

Finish what?

Ugh! I'm scared okay?!

Well...Don't be

Wow, conscience of the year everybody

I feel like you're patronizing me but I don't care, just gut up and go wake her so you can have your annual 'heart to heart' for the day

My...My annual what?

Your 'heart to heart'? Oh come on, you have to have some kind of meaningful conversation with someone everyday, otherwise you just...Well, honestly I don't know what you'd do because you always have one and have never gone without

What? I do not!

Uh-huh! It's usually with Marley but sometimes you do it with Jake, maybe Mrs. Rose, hell even Toby...And now we can add mom to the mix too!

I don't have 'heart to hearts' everyday! I am not that sappy!

Yes you are, you big sap you!

Shut up!

"Kitty, sweetie? Is that you?" The gentle voice of my mother snaps me out of my thoughts and I look over to her to see her eyes blinking slowly as she wakes up comfortably. Wasting no more time, I quickly rushed to the seat that sat beside her bed, immediately gripping onto her hand, not too tight to hurt her but tight enough so she got the message that I didn't plan on letting go any time soon.

"Hey mom, hey it's me, it's Kitty...How are you feeling? Are you okay? I love you, I am so so sorry about what I said before, I didn't mean it, I promise. I was just angry and I took it out on you but that wasn't fair of me and please, please say you forgive me cause I don't know what I'd do if-"

"Kitty, honey calm down! I'm not mad at you! I was actually hoping it would be you who could forgive me." She interrupts softly, squeezing my hand in hers as I stare at her in pure shock.

"Wha...Why?" I manage to stutter out in confusion, to which she only smiles at amusedly before replying in a soft, caring tone that I hadn't heard for years now.

"I know that I haven't been the best of mothers since your da-...since David passed." She starts and I go to deny it but she stops me by putting her hand up. "No, just...Let me say this." She states, but it comes off more as a plea to me. Realizing that this meant quite a lot to her, I nodded my head silently and began to listen intently.

"I know I haven't been the good mom that you deserve, and most of it was down to the grief and the guilt I was feeling, but that's no excuse and I know that. Kitty, I want you to know that I ever stopped loving you, not for one second. I only...lost sight of what was most important to me. When you lose someone you love...It can cause you to do the worst things, it changes you and clouds your judgement. I wish it didn't, and I could have continued to look after and care for you the way I did before but that's not the way life works, sweetie. It's not always fair to you...But I'm sure you know that." She speaks softly and I was hanging onto her every word that explained the past to me. Finally, I was getting the truth from her.

"I mean, love does the strangest things to us Wilde's doesn't it? Love ruins everyone but...We seem to get it a little worse than everyone else. Kitty, I want you to understand how I felt. Just imagine if you were in my place and it was Marley in that car." She spoke the comment so off handedly, it almost got past me. But not quite.

"Wait, w-what? Mom, y-you knew?" I ask her with wide eyes, to which she smiles and strokes my cheek lightly.

"You're my daughter, Kitty. Of course I knew. I admit you did hide it very well...It was your eyes that gave it away. They shone with a happiness that I hadn't seen in so long...too long. I guess I was a little reluctant at first in accepting it, but it didn't take long for me to see sense. She seems like a sweet girl, your Marley." She exclaims, my lips turning up into an involuntary smile at the mention of Marley being 'my girl'.

"Yeah...She's amazing, mom." I can't help but blurt out, cringing inside and hoping my mother doesn't mind me talking about my girlfriend with her. Fortunately, I feel a huge sense of relief wash over me when my mom only smiles warmly in my direction.

"Well, I should think so. Us Wilde's don't fall for just anyone." She winks playfully, making me chuckle a little, still a part of me contemplating whether all this was too good to be true and I'd wake up leaning against my tree in the rain.

"Kitty, I want you to know that I am so incredibly proud of what you have managed to achieve with the loss of David and, I guess in some ways, the temporary loss of me. Looking at the brave, honourable and kind person you've grown into...I couldn't be more proud of you, baby." She smiles a watery smile at me and I couldn't take it anymore.

I reached over and, careful not to hurt her, pulled her tight against me in a hug that I had longed for for five years. She gripped onto me just as tightly and we both sighed, happy to be back in each others arms after too long of a time.

"Sweetie?" I felt her mumble against my shoulder in question, to which I only hum in reply.

"What on earth happened to your face?"

I can't help but laugh softly into her shoulder, pulling her tighter against me and sighing out a small reply. "I'll tell you later, mom. Right now, I just wanna enjoy this."

"Okay, sweetheart." I hear the confusion in her voice, but also the love. And that thought alone made me smile wide into the smooth material of her hospital gown.

"I love you." I croaked out slightly, the tears I had been fighting back for years now releasing themselves. Although, it seems the cause had changed from an almost empty heart to a heart that was almost too full.

"I love you too, baby. More than you know." She whispers into my hair, her hand stroking the back of my head gently like a mothers does. Her steady heart beating against my chest like a mothers does. Her soothing presence surrounding me like a mothers does.

I had a mother again. Finally.

We talked for a while after that. About a lot of things. About Dad...or David. About Toby. About Marley. About our past. About our future. Hell, even about our present. Turns out my mom knew all about my 'special problem' for a while now. Apparently, the special teacher lady had told her since I needed parental permission to actually have those sessions that I did. Don't ask why cause I didn't which means I don't know.

I don't know whether I was relieved or confused at the fact that my mom knew about it for so long and actually sort of supported me since she gave me permission to have the sessions. Without me even knowing it, she'd actually been helping for a long time now.

"Okay, sweetie as much of a beautiful time I'm having, visiting hours are almost over." My mom tells me with regretful smile. I'm a little disappointed, and I can tell she is too, but we both knew that our little moment would have to end soon. "Plus, I'm sure you're just itching to get back to that amazing, beautiful, unbelievably kind hearted angel of a girlfriend you have." She teased with a playful wink that caused a small chuckle to escape my lips, partnered with a small blush.

"You forgot, 'has a voice a whole choir of angels would envy'," I tell her jokingly.

"Oh of course, how could I forget that?" She smiles back playfully and I let out another small laugh in return. "Hey, what do you think about bringing her along on your next visit?"

"Who? Marley?"

"No, the Queen of England." She dead-panned, before smiling amusedly. "Of course, Marley."

"You serious?" I ask, still a little hesitant and disbelieving that my mom is okay with everything that I've gone through so much trouble to keep from her.

"Yes, I'm serious. I want to meet this girl my daughter speaks so highly of." She speaks with honesty in reply, making me smile for the thousandth time that day.

"Yeah, okay...That uh, that'd be awesome!" I tell her happily, to which she only smiles warmly in return.

"Great, I can't wait..." She trails off, bringing her hand up to gently stroke my cheek. I bring my hand up to grip onto her wrist softly and affectionately. "Goodnight, sweetheart."

"Night, mom." I reply warmly before leaning up to press a gently kiss to the top of her head before pulling away and smiling softly. "Love you".

"I love you too, sweetie. Now go! Go hold your love and don't let her go." She urges me, but also whispers under her breath. "Not like I did."

I pretend not to hear her however, instead choosing to continue smiling and walk backwards in the doors direction. "I won't," I shake my head in a promise.

And with one last shared smile of warmth, I turned and walked out the door.

Strolling down the hallway, I couldn't wipe the smile off my face. Some doctors and nurses walking by stared at me strangely, whilst others seemed happy to see the grin on my face, some female nurses even blushed slightly...Which I found slightly confusing but ah well, who cares.

Once I reached the waiting room, I took a peek though the window to see Marley and Toby sitting and talking comfortably. Anyone who didn't know them would think they were both perfectly calm, but I wasn't one of those people.

From looking at the uncontrollable bounce of Marley's leg, I could almost feel her nerves myself. Even though I hadn't spent enough time with Toby yet to really say that I knew him, we seemed to share similar traits from being father and daughter. One of those traits being that we fiddle with our hands when we're nervous, or more accurately; we just can't seem to sit still. Looking closer however, I could see that not only was he fiddling with his fingers, but he was playing with something that was on his fingers; or finger to be more precise. I could see it was a ring, but decided to over-look it for now, as there was something that I really wanted to do right now.

Not wasting any more time, I slid through the doors and even though I thought I did it pretty silently, both a Rose and a Wilde head snapped around to look at me. Marley shot up from her seat and noticed the smile on my face that hadn't disappeared for a few hours now.

"Kitty, how did it go-" She starts but I'd already begun to stroll towards her with three large steps. Wrapping my arms around her thin waist, I waste no more time in pressing my lips firmly but softly against hers causing a squeak of surprise to escape the brunettes lips before she happily responds to my gesture.

Smiling against the silky softness of her lips, I decide to go the step further in dipping her causing Marley to wrap her long and slender arms around my neck and a few soft laughs to escape in the now happy waiting room, to which almost went completely unheard by me.

Choosing to stay in the lip-lock for a few more long seconds, I eventually break away. Only to then bury my head in her shoulder and lift her off her feet, quite literally, and swinging her around. All these actions coming out of me in a burst of happiness.

"Oh, could this day get any better?" I exclaim into the silkiness of my girlfriends hair, still spinning her around as the beautifully indescribable sound of her joyous laughter fills the air.

"So, I'm guessing it went well then? She's okay?" Marley asks, turning her head to look me in the eye as I halt the spinning but don't let her down. I almost forget that she asked me a question from taking the risk of looking deep into those sparkling blue pools of eyes and not only nearly loosing my concentration but also myself in the process.

"She's more than okay, y'know who else is more than okay? Me. Wanna know why? Because I have the most beautiful, most amazing girlfriend in the whole wide world who happens to have the voice of a thousand angels and a heart filled with more love than she should be able to carry." I inform her with a charming grin. She giggles a little before pressing her lips to mine, probably to try and distract me from the fact that her eyes were shining with tears. Of course, I noticed but I decided I wouldn't tell her that and save her some embarrassment. Just this once.

"Hey, love-birds? You ever heard the phrase 'get a room'?" Toby's amused voice breaks us out of our kiss, much to my annoyance and Marley's embarrassment. Turning my attention to him, I set Marley down on her feet but don't loosen my hold on her for a second.

"Well, we would but I don't really think the sick people would appreciate or enjoy it as much as I would." I fire back with a playful smirk, to which I get a chuckle from Toby and a smack on the arm from Marley. "Kidding," I mumble to the blue-eyed brunette, wincing slightly from the red mark that was sure to leave. Her glare didn't waver however, but with a quick kiss to her temple and a sheepish smile from me, that glare slowly dissapeared to be replaced with that familiar twinkling in her eyes.

"So, what do you say chief? Ready to get out of here?" Toby asked, but more like requested. I turned to him once more with a smile, which slowly faded when I realised I would be going home to an empty house.

"Yeah, but...I don't really feel like going back home though, after what happened there..." I trailed off, but Marley and Toby seemed to understand what I meant. I didn't want to be in the same place where my mom nearly died.

"Say no more, you're staying with me." Marley informed me immediately and of course, I shook my head slightly.

"No, I couldn't intrude like that on you and your mom."

"Kitty, you wouldn't be intruding. You know my mom loves you and how I feel goes without saying." She insists, her gentle fingers slowly stroking the place where my jaw meets my neck, causing an involuntarily sigh to be released from my lips.

"If you're sure?" I ask hesitantly.

"Of course, I'm sure."

"Well, in that case. Thank you, I love you." I smile, capturing a kiss before she could do anything else, causing a cute giggle from her as I pull away.

"I love you, too."

"I'm glad you have someone tonight, kid." Toby speaks up from beside us and it's then I realise how quiet he's been. I also recognise the fact that he wasn't too quick to offer me a place to stay; but I pushed that thought to the back of my mind.

"Not just tonight." I mumble back, looking deep into the blue sea of my girlfriends eyes.

"So...uh...How is your mom? R-Really?" Marley manages to get out as I place more kisses down her neck. We'd entered her house just under an hour ago and since then, we'd gotten changed into pyjamas (I borrowed some of Marley's) and almost settled into her bed. I say almost because I couldn't go another minute without kissing those sweet lips and soon enough...we were making out.

I chuckle deeply against the warm soft skin beneath my lips, causing the beauty beneath me to shiver slightly. "You seriously gonna talk about my mom, right now?" I ask playfully, before kissing my way up to those lips, quickly halting whatever she was about to say back.

Our lips manage to stay moving against one another for a few more seconds until she pulls away slightly, far enough so that our lips were barely touching but not far enough for me not to feel her warm breathing against my mouth.

"Kitty, I'm serious, is she okay? I mean, she's not too hurt or anything?" She asks, looking quite concerned but I couldn't completely concentrate as when she talked, I felt the slightest touch of her lips against mine.

"No, she's fine, now can we get back to..." I speak hurriedly, trailing off as I press my lips against hers once more, causing a sound between pleasure and protest to be released from those sweet pink lips.

"Mhm...Kitty!" She whined against my lips and I pull away from her, laughing whilst doing so at how adorable she was.

"Alright, alright." I give in, reluctantly pulling away and lying beside her.

"Thank you," she smiles cheekily at me, planting a quick kiss on my cheek before resting hers on her palm and using her other hand to gently stroke the place over my heart, causing a satisfied sigh to escape my lips. "So...How is she?"

"Well, emotionally I'd say she's great. We patched things up, actually talked to each other for once instead of just speaking at each other...By the way she knows about us." I inform her, turning my gaze from the ceiling onto her bright blue eyes that didn't seem as surprised as I expected.

"Oh, um about that...I kinda already knew? Toby told me, when you were sleeping about a week ago." She told me sheepishly, her eyes flicking around the room, looking anywhere but at me. I only chuckle, bringing my hand up to link it with hers that rested over my heart.

"Well, she accepts us...Did you know that, too?" I ask curiously and from the small shrug and cute smile she sent my way, I'm guessing the answer to my question was a yes. "Of course, you did." I chuckle lovingly.

"Okay, so she's fine emotionally. What about physically?"

I only shrug my shoulders at that. "I mean, she looked fine...She had a bandage wrapped around her head, other than that though, she seemed fine. Didn't seem in pain or anything." I explained, to Marley's relief. "She does wanna meet you though." I add, causing the blue eyed brunette's expression to go from calm to panicked in a matter of seconds.

"What?!"

"Relax, Marls this is a good thing! Now you have the chance to show her how amazing you are, I mean she already knows it since I told her but you can just prove to her that everything I said is true." I say softly with a smile to match.

"What if she doesn't like me?" She asks hesitantly whilst chewing on her lip nervously. I smile gently with a small, disbelieving shake of my head.

"Are you kidding? She's gonna love you, trust me. It's impossible not to; I know that first hand." I reassure, earning a delicate kiss that lasted just a few seconds in real life but forever in my heart.

"So...What kinda things did you tell her about me?" Marley asks with a playful glint in her eye as she pulls her lips away from mine, her thumb gently stroking over my hand that was linked with hers on top of my chest.

"Well...I may have mentioned your beauty, kindness, love, humour, beyond amazing singing voice and your beauty."

"You said beauty twice." She pointed out with a raised eyebrow, her cheeks tinted with redness from her blush.

"That's just cause you're twice as beautiful to me than anyone else, too beautiful to describe with one word, I just had to use it twice to get my point across." I explain, causing a choked up giggle to escape her lips as her eyes begin to twinkle even more as they fill up with water.

"You're such a cheese-ball." She informs me, before leaning down slowly to rest her forehead against mine. "And I love it." She whispers before pressing her lips to mine for what must have been the thousandth time that night. And yet I still craved more.

...

"So, did they say when she's going to be released?" I ask Toby over the phone the next morning, whilst Marley was in the shower. I lie back on her bed as I wait for her and listen to Toby at the same time.

"No, not yet. They said they have to do a few more check ups before they can know for sure, but so far it's looking good, kid." He replied, causing a relieved and satisfied smile to grace my lips as I listened to the good news.

"Thank god, that's awesome." I say in return, earning a happy chuckle from the other end as he agreed with me.

"Yeah, chief it is."

"So...Have you talked to her yet?" I ask, curious to hear the answer.

"...Why do you ask?" Was his slow and almost hesitant reply. I smile a little, amused at the fact he was asking a question he already knew the answer to.

"You know exactly why I ask...Do you think you guys will ever, y'know...start things up again?" I ask, now hesitant myself. He takes a few seconds to reply, but when he does I can almost feel how uncomfortable he is over the phone.

"Kitty, I-I don't...You have to understand that what happened between your mother and I was a one time thing, a-a mistake even-"

"Wait, are you calling me a mistake?" I interrupt him, confused and hurt that he would say such a thing.

"No! Kitty, you know I didn't mean it like that, I just meant that-" He rushed to explain, but I didn't really feel like letting him.

"No, you know what, forget it." I hung up before he could say anything else, throwing my phone across the room in frustration and putting my arms over my face, sighing deeply.

"Everything okay?" I hear her Marley ask as she steps into the room, and it's amazing that just the sound of her voice can calm me down instantly.

"Yeah, I just um...It was just..." I trail off involuntarily as I look up and see my girlfriend with those bright blue eyes staring at me expectantly. The colour of them stood out even more in contrast to her dangling, wet hair which looked an even darker shade of brown after having been washed. It clung to her face in ways my hands and lips wished they could. Moving my eyes down further, I have to try my hardest to hold in a gasp at the sight of her soft, bare shoulders that fresh water droplets slid down to places I wouldn't let myself think about. Forcing my eyes to move past the chest area that was concealed by the thin material of damp towel she held close to her body, I looked even further down only to be struck even more speechless by the sight of long, slender legs that just seemed to go on forever. "W-Whoa..." Is all that my voice could whisper out.

"Kitty? Are you okay?" She asks again, her eyes flicking around the room in confusion before coming back to rest on me in question. I clear my throat as I feel my cheeks heating up in embarrassment, but thankfully I don't think Marley knew why exactly I was so speechless.

"Yes, yeah I uh...I'm sorry, I'm fine I just uh..." I chuckle slightly shaking my head and pulling myself up into a sitting position to smile at her directly. "I'm sorry, how can you expect me to concentrate when you're dripping wet and in nothing but a towel?" I finally ask her with a raised eyebrow, smiling a little when she started to splutter, pulling her towel tighter around her.

"W-What?! Kitty, what do you..." She stutters nervously and I bite my lip, raising both eyebrows playfully to which she raised one of hers in return, a small blush still coating her cheeks. "Were you staring?"

"Well, in my defence, it's kind of hard not to." I inform her with a grin, to which she shakes her head at and attempts to fight the smile that tugged at her lips. "Now, could you please come over here, you're driving me crazy."

Marley giggles before hesitantly taking a slow step forwards. Too slow for my taste in fact as I jump up and wrap my arms around her, lifting her off her feet quite literally once more. The blue eyed brunette in my arms squeals loudly, using one arm to wrap around my shoulders and the other to keep hold of her towel.

"Oh, I love you so, so, so much, Marley!" I mumble into her hair playfully, causing her to let out the most joyous and beautiful laugh as I sway with her in my arms, feeling content and warmth holding her.

"I love you, too...Ah, Kitty my towels falling, put me down!" She orders and I pull away from her neck to grin at her with an eyebrow raised.

"Now, why would I do that when your towels falling?" I ask teasingly, with a small wink. She gaps at me for a few seconds before slapping my shoulder, me letting out a small chuckle as I let her down and put my hands up in surrender. "Okay, okay I was joking! Sort of," I smile, laughing as she slaps my arm once more in return.

"Hush you," she smiles despite trying to act annoyed. Turning away from me, she walks over to her closet and begins to rummage through it with her eyebrows furrowed as she silently wonders to herself what to wear today. Nothing had ever looked more adorable.

I walk over to her slowly and quietly so that she didn't hear me coming when I wrapped my arms around her from behind, tight enough so that I could feel the wet warmth of her shower through my shirt. I breathe in the sweet scent of Marley Rose, burying my head deep into her damp shoulder, wanting to feel as close to her as possible, wanting to smell as much of that sweet and comforting scent as possible.

"As much as I love your arms around me, I need to change and as much as I love you, I'm gonna need you to leave the room while I do that." Marley explains to me, making the mistake of turning her smiling face to me to which I can't resist pressing my lips to hers for the few seconds that I could.

"Alright, I'm gone. Don't spend too much time up here thinking your pretty little head too hard on what you're gonna wear, okay? You look beautiful in anything." I tell her, fingering the small pink rose necklace that still hung around her neck from when I gave it to her for Christmas. Giving her a quick peck on the cheek, I grin at her as I step back the few steps to her door and finally turn away from her intense gaze to leave her to her thoughts.

"Sup dude," Jakes voice breaks my concentration of trying to organize all my books for today's lessons and I turn my head to the left to see him come to stand and lean on the locker beside mine.

I nod my head once in greeting before turning back to my rummaging.

"So, I have a proposition for you," He grins, almost bouncing in excitement which makes me turn to him in curiosity, thoughts of arranging my locker going out of my head.

"I'm listening," I answer with a small smile and a raised eyebrow, encouraging him to explain further. He goes to open his mouth but a tall Asian guy and a slightly large, chocolate skinned girl walking up to us interrupt him. I raise my eyebrows at them in question, they couldn't be much older than us, but looked old enough to have finished High School.

"So, mini-Puck you asked her yet?" The girl asks Jake, she looked familiar and so did the guy, but I just couldn't place their faces.

"Asked me what?" I ask before anyone else could say anything, seriously confused as to what was going on but growing more curious by the second. The three of them turned their heads to me at the sound of my voice, each one had a grin of their own...To be honest, it was starting to creep me out.

"Well, I've had my eye on you two from the beginning and don't think I haven't noticed your little 'hidden talents'," She smirks at me and I flick my eyes around the hallway before looking back at her in even more confusion.

"My-My hidden talents?"

"Mhmm, not only do you two have voices like vanilla, but you can dance like all the Step-up movies in one," She exclaims, her smirk still standing as she looks me up and down, "Not to mention you're both fine as hell."

"Yeah, um thanks? I'm sorry, what's going on? Who are you guys?"

"Well, I have to say, I'm pretty insulted you don't remember me. I worked with you guys in Grease?" The girl explains and I give her a bewildered look in return, to which she sighs at exasperatedly. To be honest, all I remember about Grease is Marley throwing up...Yeah, I try not to think about it. "Born to Hand Jive? You aren't messin' with me, you seriously don't remember? Damn...Anyway, I guess some re-introductions are in order...I am Mercedes Jones, soon to be R&B legend." She announces, smiling an almost dazzling smile at me to which I manage to return with a small one of my own, this whole thing still confusing me immensely.

"And I'm Mike Chang, soon to be dancer for soon to be R&B legend" The Asian boy speaks up from beside Mercedes, a kind smile directed at me.

I nod to him and shrug my shoulders, "I'm Kitty, soon to be taking a Math test so could we hurry this up?"

"Ooh, she's witty. Don't worry, that makes you even sexier," Mercedes reassures me with a quick wink and I turn my gaze to Jake, exasperated and pleading with him to explain what is going on.

He just grins at me with a reassuring look in his eyes, "Just listen to what they have to say, I promise you're gonna love it."

I sigh and turn my attention back to the 'up and coming music legends' with a raised eyebrow, waiting for the eventual question they were apparently going to ask me at some point today.

"Okay, okay we'll get to the point now," Mike tells me, looking at Mercedes with a raised eyebrow and she clears her throat, most likely for dramatic effect. Jesus Christ, this girl was probably just a big a diva as Tina.

"Alright, so what we're here for is to give you and mini-Puck here a once in a lifetime chance at Stardom," Mercedes begins to finally explain and thus, quickly grabs my attention, "See Kitty, we believe that you and Jake are New Direction's secret weapons, you just haven't been unleashed yet. So, how about we 'unleash' you guys in my next music video?" She proposes with a large grin and I gap, looking between each of their smiling faces in excitement just to check if they were joking.

"A-Are you serious?!" I ask her, laughing slightly in excitement as they all nod their heads at me furiously.

"You bet I am, little Wilde! Both you and mini-Puck here are gonna be dancing your fine asses off in the next hit R&B music video," She exclaims and I gap wildly with the stupidest, biggest smile on my face as I bounce on the spot in excitement before high-fiving Jake.

"This is awesome!" I shout, laughing with the three of them as I process the fact that I'm gonna be an actual back-up dancer for an actual music video!

Before I knew it, Jake and I were being dragged down to the auditorium for Mercedes to order an emergency glee meeting...which I didn't really see the point of since we still had glee club later today but whatever, I'm curious.

"Alright New Directions, listen up y'all! Regionals is getting closer and closer and you guys are not prepared, so Kurt, Mike and myself have taken it upon ourselves to come down here and help y'all out!" She announces and as she does, I walk over to Marley and smile as I stand next to her, Jake beside me as the whole glee club stands in a circle with Mercedes in the middle.

'What's this?' Marley mouths at me in slight confusion and I just shrug in response, not being able to wipe the smile off my face from the news I received just a few moments ago. 'No idea' I mouth back, Marley smiling back at me slightly as we both turn back to Mercedes when she mentions Marley's name.

"Get over here, girl!" She orders with a smile as she grabs Marley's hand and drags her into the middle. Marley looks back at me in question and alarm and all I can do is shrug and smile at her encouragingly. "Now, I've seen you perform and I can tell you're a soul sister like myself, but you gotta let that soul free, girl!" Mercedes exclaims and Marley can't help the smile that spreads across her face from the praise she was currently receiving.

I smile adoringly at the blue eyed brunette, I couldn't help it from how excited she looked from finally getting recognition for that voice of hers, and from a good of a singer as Mercedes no less. "Okay band, why don't you give us a bit of that spooky, Stevie Wonder bass line to get us goin' huh?" Mercedes requests the band as she walks Marley back to my side, my girlfriend's smile fighting to stay hidden still as I slowly watch her begin to loosen up when the band starts playing the familiar beats of 'Superstition'.

Man, I loved this song, it was amazing to dance to and from taking a shared glance with Jake, I could tell he was thinking the same thing.

"Now, all of y'all need to shake out your nerves and stop being so scared!" She announces loudly as we all playfully shake our arms and legs and bodies to her command, a few of us bouncing on the spot in excitement as we begin to get into the music.

"And Marley," Mercedes points at my girl who freezes for a second before smiling and nodding her head, "I wanna hear those high notes, girl don't you dare hold back that soul power!" She orders, Marley getting even more pumped up at Mercedes' encouragement.

She then turns to Jake and I and wiggles her fingers, gesturing for us to come forward as she begins to belt out that powerful voice of hers.

Very superstitious,

Writing on the wall.

Me and Jake share a grin before moving into the centre and start busting out pops and locks and other 'improv' dance moves to the beat, all along with the whoops and whistles of our surprised glee mates.

"Whoo, that's my Wilde-cat!"

"Go, Jake and Kitty! Yeah!"

"Kitty! Haha!"

The last one was from Marley and I managed to send her a cheeky grin as I spun around on my heel a few times, Jake and I still dancing around a happy looking Mercedes as we began to pop and lock together as others began to join us.

As Mercedes keeps singing, I go over to dance with Unique, laughing as she wiggles her eyebrows at me and attempts to keep up.

Don't understand!

He-y-y, yeah!

That was a soul voice alright, but it wasn't Mercedes. Turning my head I see Marley laughing as Mercedes points at her with wide eyes.

No way...That was my Marley?!

I laugh in surprise as Blaine begins to take over the next verse and Marley dances with Mercedes. I'm snapped out of my surprise when I feel a sharp tap on my shoulder from Jake and I realised I had stopped dancing. Snapping out of it, I slowly and sneakily manage to dance my way over to my blue eyed brunette, smiling as she notices me and beams with excitement.

I'm caught by even more surprise when her smile turns into a smirk as she places a hand against my chest, preventing me from getting any closer and begins to sing with her new soul voice whilst looking right at me.

Ho-woah-oh-oh,

Whe-en you believe in things you don't understand,

and you-oooo-oo-oo su-uffer.

My eyebrows reach up to my hairline as my grin grows wider at the sight of her loosening up fully and her voice getting even more powerful as she playfully (and may I say, sexily) pushes me backwards with the hand on my chest as I move my feet forwards and backwards to the beat. Her hips sway slightly as her hands raise when she belts out the last note, to mine and everyone else's ecstatic astonishment.

Superstition ain't the way!

The sound of everyone's joyous laughter fills the room as we all look at each other, shocked that Mercedes had managed to bring it all out of us. I turn to Marley and wrap my arms around her tightly as we laugh along with everyone else.

"That was amazing!" I exclaim loudly and happily into her hair, twirling her around. Not too afraid if anyone sees us since everyone was hugging each other anyway.

For the first time in months, we actually believed we had a chance at winning Regionals.

"Hey, my little dancing Wilde-cat," Unique greets me with a smirk as I shut my locker, getting ready to walk to glee. It still felt weird that I was going since we had that whole 'Superstition' thing only a few hours ago but ah well, I wasn't really complaining. Glee was probably the best part of my day.

"Hey, ready for glee?" I ask her as we begin to walk down the slowly emptying hallways.

"Surprisingly yes, man I've been excited for it ever since you went all 'step-up' and Marley went all Beyonce on our asses," She jokes as we enter the choir room, me heading straight to the seat next to Marley as she smiled brightly at me when I walked in the room.

"Well, there's my little soul girl," I smile teasingly at the brunette as she blushes slightly before slapping my shoulder with a raised eyebrow.

"What about you, street-dancer?" She throws back with a smile and I shrug my shoulders slightly.

"What? You knew I could dance."

"Yeah, but not like that! And besides, you knew I could sing."

"Yeah, but not like that!" I respond playfully to her amusement. "Seriously, Marley your voice is even more amazing than I thought, which I didn't think was possible."

"Yeah, well your dance moves are even more awesome than I thought!"

"You're amazing!" We both speak at the same time, causing us to laugh lightly, not noticing Unique's frustrated gaze beside us.

"No, you're amazing."

"Oh come on, there is no way you're winning this argument cause you are so much more amazing than me."

"No, you are."

"No, you are-"

"Oh my God, you're both amazing now would you two please be quiet?! I am amazed these people haven't noticed you two are dating, seriously it astounds me, how have they not noticed?!" Unique exclaims wildly, but me and Marley just grin at her in amusement.

"How have who not noticed what?" Jakes voice interrupts our little stare as he sits in the seat next to mine. We all look to him in alarm as I begin to splutter whatever nonsense excuse comes to mind first.

"Uh...We were just talking about how um...How people haven't noticed the sexual tension between Sam and Mercedes..." I tell him, adding a quick smile at the end and hoping to God that he buys it. To be honest, I didn't really make it up either since those two haven't looked each other in the eye the whole time Mercedes had been here. Now I think about it, it was kinda the same with Mike and Tina too. Man, did these guys have a thing for diva's or what.

"Dude, I was thinking the exact same thing! I thought I was the only one, y'know I think there's a thing between Mike and Tina too," He adds and I smile widely, clapping my hands together before pointing one at him in agreement.

"Exactly! Dude, it's like they can't decide whether they want to fight or make out!" I laugh along with him as he nods his head in agreement to my statement. I could vaguely see Marley and Unique shaking their heads in slight annoyance at us both.

"Okay, guys listen up! I absolutely loved the glee meeting earlier today and I'm pretty sure you did too, and yes I'm looking at you Marley, Jake and Kitty." Mr Schue smiled and his statement received whoops, whistles and a few high-fives and slaps on the back for the three of us mentioned. "Now, without further ado; I give you Mike Chang."

We all cheer as Mike gets up from his seat from the introduction and takes Mr. Schue's place at the front of the room. He gives me and Jake a wink before he starts talking, to which causes me to share a knowing look with the tanned boy next to me.

"Alright guys, today I wanna celebrate two wonderful talents," He begins and everyone looks around the room, wondering if he was talking about them and trying to figure out who else it could be. I could see Tina's cocky smile from here, "Now they're both new to glee club this year," At this statement, I smile a little when I see Tina's face drop before continuing to listen to Mike's introduction, "And I think with a little bit of confidence, they could take us all the way to Nationals."

I purse my lips together to keep from smiling as I turn to Jake to see he had an expression equal to mine, both of us shrugging our shoulders simultaneously in fake wonder as the music to 'I Wish' starts. I see Sam get up out of his seat hesitantly as Mike laughs and shoos him away slightly as he gestures to Jake and I who were still sitting in the risers.

"Stop being so damn modest and get your butts up here, Kitty and Jake!" Mike smiles, gesturing the floor is ours as a few people shout words of encouragement, Marley probably the loudest as she shakes my shoulders.

Jake and I share one last look before hopping out of our seats, each of us giving Mike a low high-five before beginning the improvise some synchronised dance moves, much to everyone's surprised pleasure...Well, most of everyone's surprised pleasure (I'm looking at you Tina).

Jake, Mike and I had managed to make some time to put together some choreography for Stevie Wonder at lunch. Mike said he wanted us to gain confidence in ourselves and the first step to that was to performing in front of glee club.

Of course, this was glee club so some singing was definitely expected. No problem for Jake and I, of course.

(Kitty,Jake, Both)

Looking back on when I,

Was a little nappy headed boy.

Jake begins singing and I couldn't deny his voice was good. We keep dancing, throwing out pops and locks and spins and slides, most of it all synchronised...I say most because come on, we only had like an hour to put this together and practice.

And my only worry,

Was for Christmas what would be my toy.

I take a turn at singing next, not being able to contain my grin at the amount of fun this was. I'd never felt more comfortable than when I was dancing since I'd been doing it practically since I was in diapers, and doing it now with two guys who shared my passion was pretty awesome. I direct my grin at Marley who was bobbing along in her seat with Unique and clapping her hands to the beat.

Tryin' your best to bring the water to your eyes,

Thinkin' it might stop us from whippin' your behind!

I wish those days, could,

Come back once more.

Why did those days, end,

But I have to go.

I wish those days, could,

Come back once more.

Why did those days, end,

But I have to go.

Cause I love them so.

We sing the chorus together, our voices blending nicely before I take the last line, wiggling my hand a little bit as everyone begins to harmonize and/or clap their hands. The three of us clap our hands along with them as the music plays on, encouraging them all to join in. I smile at Marley as we aim our claps at each other before breaking into the spin with the boys as I start the next verse.

Smokin' cigarettes and,

Writing somethin' nasty on the wall.

"You nasty girl!" Marley sings, grinning whilst pointing a finger at me as everyone's mouths drop in half shock and half excitement at the brunette's new found confidence. Me, I just send a cheeky grin her way as I spread my arm out before spinning and continuing the dance as Jake takes over vocals once more.

Teacher sends you to the,

Principals office down the hall.

You grow up and learn that,

Kinda thing ain't right.

But while you were doin' it,

It shoved 'em outta sight!

I get a few whistles from the slightly stronger note I managed to hold before continuing to dance while simultaneously snapping my fingers and clapping from time to time and going back to singing along side the tanned boy.

I wish those days, could,

Come back once more.

Why did those days, end,

But I have to go.

I wish those days, could,

Come back once more.

Why did those days, end,

But I have to go.

Cause I love them so.

I feel a small amount of pride in myself from the shocked smile Mr. Schue was watching is with whilst shaking his head in almost disbelief. As the music plays on, everyone continues to harmonize for us as, belting out "Bah! Bahs!" whilst we bust out the hardest and most fun parts of the routine.

Shaking our hips and sliding along floors, we were really getting into the music and atmosphere of the room.

Oh! Hoh! Oh!

We continue to sing together as I dance my way up the risers to a clapping and bopping Marley and kneel before her to which she grins at.

Yeah-eh-eh

I sing this part as smoothly as I could, hoping to cause a slight swoon in the blue-eyed beauty by adding a slight dip in my stature to the rhythm of the tone of my voice when it dropped, her eyes following mine as they were only a few inches from hers before I spun away, grinning as I did so as I watched a singing and dancing Marley's eyes follow me down the risers.

Knowing the song wasn't far from finishing now, I jumped down and joined Jake for the final steps as Mike stepped out of the way, letting us have our moment together. We begin to dance our very best as we wanted to show our true potential before the song ends, our legs sliding across the floor and our bodies having almost defied gravity and logic by how smoothly they were moving with the beat.

Doo-doo-doo-doo,

Do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do.

Doo-doo-doo-doo,

Do-do-do-do-do-do!

We finished with a few spins and a split in the air before landing and bending our backs slightly to let out the last note.

"Whoo!" Came the roar from the whole club as Jake and I clasped hands and brought each other in to clap the other ones back. Panting and smiling wide, I welcomed a running Marley into my arms and everyone else who came down to pat mine and Jakes backs.

"Guys! That was absolutely insane! With talent like that, there's no way we're not getting to Nationals now!" Mr. Schue announced, an excited beaming smile gracing his face to which we all whooped and cheered at, Jake and I giving each other another grin and high-five as Mercedes and Mike stepped into our little circle of excitement and praise.

"Alright, peeps we got another announcement for y'all, so listen up!" Mercedes beamed at Jake and I as she stood between us and grabbed onto our shoulders as we continued to pant slightly. "Now you've all seen what these fine pieces of dancin', singin' asses these two are...And so have I, cause you guys are looking at the next super talented, super sexy back-up dancers of my next music video!" She announced with a strong shake of mine and Jakes shoulders as we sent smiles of excitement to everyone around us.

After a second of shocked silence, everyone began to cheer and shout even louder than before, the slaps on the back me and Jake received even stronger than before as people congratulated us with excitement.

"Kitty! Baby, that's amazing!" Marley shouts in excitement, wrapping her arms around my shoulders and kissing my cheek, seemingly having forgotten that we were in the presence of others...A lot of others, in fact.

"Did you just call her...Baby?" A confused Blaine spoke up as everyone slowly began to quiet down, sending us looks of equal question and confusion.

"And kiss her cheek?" An equally confused Artie speaks up also, everyone giving looks of confused agreement right at Marley and me.

Haha, 'Marley and me'...You know, like the movie?

Conscience, really not the time!

Oh come on, you really expected me to ignore that pun?!

I took one look at Marley's 'dear caught in headlights' look as she slowly unwrapped her arms from my shoulders as I cleared my throat and smiled at all of their questioning looks.

"Uh, yeah! Come on, everyone's doing it these days, calling each other 'baby' and kissing the cheek is the new sign of friendship...It's like a trend now, you guys didn't hear?" I ask, giving them a confused smile of my own and hoping they buy this whole act. Seems I had to step up this whole act as I shrug my shoulders and move over to Unique.

"Unique, baby!" I grin, grabbing hold of her arms gently and planting a big kiss on her cheek, pulling back to look at her amused face and then moving along to whoever I saw next, which happened to be Mercedes.

"Mercedes, baby come 'ere you!" I send a wide grin her way and plant my lips onto her cheek, pulling away to see her with a smirk and a raised eyebrow, sending a quick wink my way.

"I for one am liking this new trend," She grins and I let out a small, awkward laugh before turning my gaze onto the next random person...who happened to be Jake who was staring at me with wide, amused eyes and had his arms crossed over his chest with an eyebrow raised.

"Oh, what the hell," I mumble to myself before spreading a wide grin on my face and spreading my arms out, to which Jakes eyes widen even more in response to what he realised I was planning on doing. "Jake, my bro, come here baby!"

"N-No, dude, dude don't you dare!" He warned, backing up a bit as I began to stroll towards him with the same grin on my face, furrowing my eyebrows in mock confusion.

"What? Come on, this is a compliment! It means you're my friend, now come here and smush your cheek against my lips, bro!" I joke, my steps bouncing forwards quicker as he begins to back up faster, getting closer to the door as he spreads his arms out in front of him whilst shaking his head furiously in my direction as I faintly hear everyone begin to laugh behind me.

"No, Kitty I'm serious! There's a code, bro's don't do this to other bro's! Kitty!" He yells as he turns around and begins sprinting down the hall as I laugh loudly, sprinting right after him.

I faintly hear Mercedes yell behind us, "I don't know why he's refusing, that Wilde girl is fuh-ine and so are those sweet lips of hers!"

Looks like everyone's long forgotten about Marley's little hiccup a few minutes ago. That's how improvising a lie is done, people!

"I can't believe my girlfriend is going to be a professional dancer! My girlfriend!"

"Mar, I'm not exactly a professional dancer, I mean I'm only back up...I'm pretty sure there's gonna be a ton of other people there too and-"

"Oh, shut up, can't I just pretend I'm dating a professional dancer right now, please?" Marley pouts at me as we stand in the Janitors closet together...Cliché, I know but what are you gonna do, Marley was the one who dragged me in here after my lesson with the special lady was over.

"Alright, fine I am a professional dancer in music videos and I'm gonna be the lead in the next Step-up movie with Channing Tatum," I joke, wrapping my arms tighter around her waist as Marley gives me a bemused look before grinning with a glint in her eye.

"Channing Tatum, huh?"

"Oh no, don't tell me you're leaving me for my co-star!"

"What can I say, we just have a connection...plus, his abs are amazing." She winks playfully and a gap a few seconds before shaking my head at her with a small grin pulling at my lips.

"Oh really, you-you like his abs, huh? Well, are they better than this?" I ask her before lifting the hem of my shirt up to reveal a six-pack I have dancing and Cheerio's to thank for. I smirk as I see Marley's baby blue eyes widen as her mouth drops slightly. "Yeah, didn't think so." I add playfully as Marley manages to rip her gaze away from my toned stomach to raise an eyebrow with that glint reappearing in her eye.

"How 'bout you be his co-star in Magic Mike instead?"

"Magic Mike? Oh, that's real funny baby, that's hilarious, seriously." I reply causing the cutest giggle to escape the brunette's mouth before she places it on mine, to which of course I eagerly respond to.

The sound of my phone receiving a text brakes us out of our little heaven and I regrettably pull away to whip out my phone, much to Marley's displeasure.

What was with all that bad lying in glee? I thought you and you're girlfriend were ready to come out, or was that all just talk to you?

The content of the text causes me to freeze all my previous movement. It was from that mystery person, which was weird since they hadn't texted me for weeks now. Every now and then I forget about him or her and I begin to relax into glee club and enjoy my time with Marley. But deep down, I know that I'll never be able to do those things completely because they will always be there, watching me over my shoulder when I'm not looking. I had to find them. And when I do, they're gonna wish they never messed with me.

Yeah, no one calls us bad liars and gets away with it!

Uh, conscience they've done worse things than that...

Ain't nothing worse than hurting our pride!

Actually...It didn't really hurt my pride too much-

Well it hurt mine alright?! Jesus, just let me have this!

"Kitty, are you okay? Who was that?" Marley's worried voice breaks me out of my thoughts and I turn my head to look at her, debating whether to lie or not before deciding against it.

I heave a sigh before showing her the text, watching as her eyebrows furrow and her eyes go from confused to angered in a matter of seconds. "This person is still bothering you? Kitty, that's not okay, we need to do something."

"What do you expect me to do? Look, I'm trying to find this person, I really am, I just...I'm scared." I admit, closing my eyes as Marley brought her hands up to cup my cheeks softly.

"Of what, baby?" She cooed gently and I sigh again before opening my eyes to her shining blue ones.

"I'm scared that...that when I find out who it is, I might lose someone close to me. I mean, I can't stop thinking about the idea of one of my friends betraying me like this," I tell her and she bites her lips before replying.

"Look, I know that whoever this person is, it's gonna hurt either way when you find out but...I mean, at least you'll know, right? Isn't it better to find out now than when you grow even closer to them?"

"Yeah...Yeah, I guess you're right," I reply as Marley sends me a sympathetic smile before pressing her lips to mine lightly.

"Hey, I love you." She states softly after pulling away, the pads of her thumbs gently stroking my cheeks.

"I love you too, Marley." I smile softly at the fact that she had the power to calm me down completely, make me feel safe when I was close to being at my worst.

"So...About that Magic Mike thing..."

"You're crazy, you know that?" I laugh, shaking my head at the dork that was my girlfriend. "Hey uh, so I was thinking..."

"Yeah..." Marley drawls out, waiting for me to continue and I grin slightly.

"About us..." I pause again as Marley blinks a few times before sending me an annoyed glance.

"About us what, Kitty? Come on, tell me!"

"About us...Finally coming out together," I finish and watch as her eyes fill with excitement as she smiles hesitantly.

"R-Really? You still wanna do that?"

"Of course, I want to! Who wouldn't wanna walk around with the most beautiful girl in the world on their arm?" I ask, only half-joking as a blush coats the brunette beauty's cheeks.

"Okay, so...We're coming out?" She asks, as if to make sure I wasn't really joking as a smile fights at her lips.

"Yes, we are coming out," I laugh as she squeals and wraps her arms around my neck in the biggest hug. "But, if it's alright with you, I wanna find him, her, whoever this is before we do...I just don't want them thinking that they're the reason we're coming out now, y'know? None of the credit should go to them, I want this to be our decision and our decision alone and-"

"Whoa, whoa slow down, okay? I want that to, this idiot doesn't deserve to think they played any part in our relationship because they didn't. I love you, Kitty Wilde...and I'm going to help you find this person, and when we do...They're not going to be a part of glee club-"

"Marley-"

"No! Look, people join glee club not just because they love singing, or-or dancing, they join because it's a place to belong and feel safe with friends. This person ruins that place for you and that means it ruins it for me to-"

"Look, I know alright? But there's no way we can convince Mr. Schue to kick this person out just because they messed with me a little bit," I tell her calmly as Marley breathes heavily for a second before moving a determined gaze back on mine.

"Then we'll go," She states and I immediately shake my head.

"No, Marley there's no way-"

"Yes, Kitty-"

"Marley, no! I see you in glee, it's like a second home to you, you love it there and there is no way that I'm going to be the person who takes that away," I tell her surely, shaking my head furiously as she places her hands on the sides of my neck, leaning in close so that her blue eyes pierce mine.

"Yes, I love glee club...But nowhere near as much as I love you," She speaks with such certainty, my breath catches in my throat as she continues, her eyes never moving from where they stare deep into mine. "If glee turns into a place where the person I care most about in the world feels uncomfortable and betrayed then, Kitty I don't want to be a part of a place like that."

"Marley, you're just saying that-"

"No, Kitty I'm not. I love you, and you mean more to me than some High School club," She promises and I shake my head further, however touched by her words I was; I knew she wouldn't feel this way later.

"I love you too but that doesn't mean you have to leave glee, you love singing-"

"I can always sing in the shower," She protests but I argue further.

"What about your friends there?"

"I can talk to them outside of glee club, Kit. Just because I'm not in glee doesn't mean they won't still be my friends," She further argues but I won't give up on this.

"Marley, it's not just that...Glee is like a ticket to your future, you're destined to be a famous singer and go to NYADA like you always dreamed. Without the extra credit of glee, it's gonna be kinda hard to get there and I'm not going to let you throw away your future-"

"Are you really gonna make me say it?" Marley sighs and I furrow my eyebrows in return, to which she shakes her head slightly before resting her forehead against mine. "You are my future, Kitty. I know that we're only in High School but...I can picture my future with you and it's amazing; I want to grow old with you and have little versions of us running around our huge mansion that we could afford from my singing career and your dancing one...And I know that it's crazy to be thinking about all of this now, but-"

"Shut up," I mumble before placing my hand on the nervous brunette's neck to pull her into my lips. To be honest, I was hoping this kiss would distract her from my misty eyes. Kissing her with the largest amount of passion and love I had, I pulled away when breathing became a problem. "I want that too, Marls but-"

"No...No more buts, okay? Either this person goes, or I go," She says in final, pecking my lips once more as a smirk begins to grace my lips.

"So, in this future of yours...How many kids do we have?"

"Oh god, Kitty we are not talking about this-"

"Are they boys or girls? Do they have names? Ooh, I gotta know their names!"

"Please stop, this is embarrassing!"

"No, come on, I wanna know! Hey, did you take my last name or did I take yours or did we like, merge theme together?"

"Kitty come on, stop!" She insists and I just laugh at the cute blush that was getting deeper as I went on.

"Okay, okay, I'm done." I promise, pecking her forehead as she snatches my phone out of my hand, much to my surprise. "What are you doing?"

"I'm sending a little warning to the idiot who thinks they can mess with my girlfriend and get away with it," She responds as I try to grab it from her but she fits the front of my shirt before pulling me into a rough kiss that left me breathless as she gently pushed me back against the wall when her lips pulled away from mine.

"H-Hey, no fair," I managed to choke out as she finished typing the message with a satisfied grin before handing my phone back to me as I still stood frozen and shocked against the wall.

"That should tell 'em," She winked and I grinned a little in question before looking down and reading what my usually sweet girlfriend had sent.

Listen here, this is Marley and I am sick of you messing with my girlfriend because you mess with her, you're messing with me. You are a pathetic excuse for a human being, it's sick what you're doing you know that? Kitty is the most amazing and sweetest person in the whole world and for some reason, you feel the need to punish her for that, I just want to know why? I would tell you to leave her alone, but to be honest it's too late for that now, you've done enough damage. You might want to think about revealing yourself because soon we're going to find you and you better be sure that my girlfriend will kick your ass. So yeah, be scared! (Oh and, bad lie? That lie Kitty came up with was golden! You try and do that when everyone is looking at you!)

"Ha! Holy crap, who knew Marley Rose has a bad side?"

"I don't have a bad side so much as a protective side," She corrects me as she replaces her arms around my shoulders as I rest mine around her waist once more.

"That's true...But to be fair, that lie of mine was absolutely terrible! I can't believe they bought that!" I exclaim, laughing a little at remembering the look on everyone's faces.

"Come on, it wasn't that bad!" Marley tried to convince but I just raised an eyebrow, and after a few seconds her smile fell a little bit. "Okay...Maybe it was kinda terrible..." She mumbled, causing me to nod in agreement as I laughed a little at the cuteness that was Marley Rose. "Did you really have to kiss them?"

"Oh, is sweet, innocent Marley Rose jealous?" I tease, not being able to contain my smile at the thought since usually it was the other way around. "Looks like the roles have been reversed in this relationship."

"Oh shut up, can you blame me? How would you feel if I went around kissing everyone's cheek whilst calling them baby?" She argued and I purse my lips, pretending to think about it for a few seconds before shrugging and nodding my head.

"Alright fine, from now on I promise that the only person I will call baby and kiss on the cheek is you," I promise sincerely, although with a smile. Marley looks up to the ceiling and hums as she pretends to think it over before bringing her gaze back to mine with a pair of sparkling eyes and smile.

"Deal," She smiles before pressing those sweet lips onto mine.

After a few minutes of making out in the closet-

Oh my god, trying so hard not to make a sarcastic comment right now...Trying so hard!

Uh, shut up...Alright, so after making out for a few more minutes, we decide it's time to leave now since school finished over an hour ago now and we didn't really feel like spending the night here. However, when we stepped out we ran straight into a frantic looking Uinque.

"Unique, what-what are you still doing here? What's wrong?" A worried Marley asked when we see the girls cheeks which were moist with tears.

"Did someone hurt you? I swear if they did, I'll kick their ass-"

"No, Wilde-cat it's fine, I'm fine, I just...I need to talk to Marley for a second," Unique interrupts me, wiping at her eyes and I give her a concerned look before nodding and turning to Marley to give her a peck on the cheek.

"I'll see you later, baby." I tell her, staying true to my promise from earlier before turning to Unique as I place my hand on her shoulder gently. "You know I got your back, right?" I tell her more than ask her, but she nods anyway as another tear streams down her face. I wipe it away gently and smile reassuringly. "I would kiss you but Marley would go into a jealous rage."

That causes a choked up laugh from Unique and a slap on the shoulder from Marley. I give her another smile before turning away and giving Marley one final look, as if to ask if she was alright to which she only smiled at before mouthing 'I got this'. I smile a little before fully turning around and walking down the hallway.

If anyone could cheer Unique up, it would be Marley. I just hope a person hadn't caused her to cry cause if they had, they would be getting a huge ass kicking from me.

"Hey," A gentle voice snapped me back into the conscious world as I looked around to see that I had fallen asleep in the chair next to my mom's still sleeping form. A also notice that the voice had come from Toby, who stood at the bottom of my mom's bed with a sad smile on his face. "Look, Kitty before you say anything-"

"Get out."

"...I expected you'd say that, but please just hear me out!" He begged and I clenched my jaw before nodding slightly. "Now, I'm not even gonna apologize for saying the night me and your mother had was a mistake because you know that I didn't mean it how it sounded. What I meant was that her and I should have never acted on our feelings and done that to David, but you already knew that didn't you? I know before you were just looking for a reason to be mad at me," He states and I go to protest but he beats me to the punch with a smile, "Don't even try to deny it, it's what all Wilde's do; we feel, we get scared because of it, and so we try to find any possible way to avoid it. I even bet that's what happened with you and Marley, at first." He guesses and I look away in slight shame, knowing he was right from remembering the times I used to bully her.

"Don't worry, chief...We all do it," He promises with a gentle smile before continuing, "The thing is, kid...I know you feel like all our problems will just disappear if your mom and I get together but trust me when I say that they won't-"

"And why not?" I cut in, standing up from my chair and walking up he few steps to be directly in front of him, making sure to keep my voice at a slightly lower volume so that I didn't wake my mom up but make no mistake in thinking that it was at all a soft tone. "You were the one that said you loved her-"

"Yeah Kitty, loved, as in used to, as in the past, as in that was then and this is now."

"Yeah, I know what the past is-"

"Do you? Because it seems like you think we can take the past and bring it to the present as if it was nothing," He interrupts once more in a slightly more desperate and harsh voice before sighing and speaking more softly. "Kitty, what I felt for your mother, I can never feel for her again-"

"But, why?" I ask again, desperately trying to get a genuine answer from this guy but it was pretty damn hard, but lets face it he was a Wilde...We could be pretty stubborn when we wanted to be.

"Kitty-"

"No, don't you want to be a family? A real family?"

"...I can't." His jaw clenches, but I only push further knowing that he was slowly breaking.

"Why?!"

"Because I already have one!" He finally yells and I stare at him in shock, gaping in confusion as he sighs and shakes his head before looking at me with sincere and regretful eyes.

"Kitty...You're not the only kid that I have...I'm married...I can't be a family with you because I already have one."

A/N:...Hi...Soo it's been a while, huh? I can't apologize enough for that, it's insane that this is my first update of 2015! I only just realized and that makes me feel even worse. Unfortunately I have my GCSE's in like, less than a month so revision has taken over my life...Literally, I feel like I don't do anything else anymore...Because of that, I seriously doubt this story will be updated again until the summer once they're over and I have time and mind to write it, which is why I've made this chapter extra long for you until then. Please don't think I am giving up on this story because I am definitely not, I'm just struggling with time at the moment.

I just want to thank everyone who has reviewed, favourited/followed and shown continuous support for me and this story, I can't explain how much it means to me to know you guys are still reading and enjoying this. I would still like to hear your thoughts on who the mystery person is since it won't be long now until they are revealed...;)

Please, please R&R and I'll see you when I've finished my hell...I can't wait for that! Bye for now :)
