Cupa's PoV

As soon as we came out the other side of the portal, I pulled out some blocks of TNT and threw them at it. The portal cut out for the final time ever as we quickly got out our tools and tore it apart. We had enough Nether resources to see us through, so there was really no objections. After the last obsidian block was broken, we all relaxed.

''That was a good call, blowing up the portal.'' Steve said to me, a twinkle in his eyes. I blushed and turned away.

''Thanks, I guess it's a creepers instinct to blow up anything that threatens their safety.'' I replied. Everyone who had stayed behind ran over to us, and asked us about our new guests. We looked over at Paula and Fiona, who were over by a tree. Paula was touching the bark of the tree, and Fiona was curled up in a fetal position shivering.

''You told me this was paradise!'' she whined to her friend.

''What, don't you like it?'' Paula asked her.

''WELL, YOU DIDN'T TELL ME IT WOULD SO FUCKING COLD!'' Fiona yelled.

''Oh, get over it, you'll survive.''

''What's going on, everything okay?'' I asked them.

''It's fine, it's just that Nether mobs have spent millions of years in a constantly hot climate, so she's just out of her element. Seeing that I'm okay, I'm pretty sure she will too. I hope…''

''Well, just to be safe, I'll go get a couple of lava buckets. That should be enough for her to survive, if not feel comfortable.'' Steve said, before puling a couple of buckets out from a chest by an old park gate. We were still in the ruins of Arachnoss City, so we had a very short time to get to the Ender Kingdom to stop the boss mob girls from whatever they were planning. It didn't help that Herobrine was involved, Steve told us of what he could do, and if such powerful mobs were helping him, He could unleash hell on us. Steve also told us that if we were going to beat Valerie and Willow, we had to be as stronger than them. They rely on brute force, so we had to be tougher. I didn't really want to watch Steve pour lava all over Fiona in a bid to try and wake her up, so I want over and talked to Stephanie.

''So, you feeling better?''

''Huh? What do you mean?''

''You got attacked in the Nether, remember?''

''Yeah, apparently Rat's gone all crazy from that encounter. He keeps going on about Nova, whatever that is. Come to think of it, Cindy hasn't been herself either, whatever's gotten into Rat has obviously gotten into her as well.''

''Anyway, I hope you're feeling better now. Y'know, you should build us something we can use to fight Herobrine and his girls.''

''It's not that easy.'' Stephanie's tone changed to a more sombre one.

''C'mon, you're a genius!'' I said to try and cheer her up. She just got up and walked away angrily.

''What? What did I say?'' I called to her.

''I. Am. Not. A. Genius." she said to me through her teeth. It was obvious I had pissed her off.

''But what abut all that stuff you did? Remember when you captured Valerie in that forcefield? You just messed around with wires and shit, and boom, instant pet dragon.''

''That doesn't make me a genius, I was simply following the instructions to build an MFFS forcefield system, which I learned how to make when I was by myself.''

''The spiders are all so incredibly smart, why won't you accept that you're just like them?''

''I am just like every other spider, and the spiders are not geniuses. Spiders are tough and aggressive.''

''But you're so advanced!'' I objected.

''Advanced doesn't necessarily mean intelligent. Let me tell you a story, maybe this will clear things up. Along time ago, when the world became a modpack, the spiders chose Industrialcraft and Gregtech not because it was smart, but because it was hard. They chose it to look tough. Ever wondered why the spiders were so small and weak against the other mobs up until the time of Ari Spyderr? Because it took so long for them to try and master their mod than the others, they fell behind. I don't want to be someone who just sits around making gadgets and shit for the others who go out and fight. I'll take fighting over sitting around making machines any day. I only make machines unless I have to so I can get something really cool, like my laser or UU matter or something. Before I met you, my original plan was to make everything in IC2 and Gregtech, and put it to use, and then… well I didn't know what to do. If I hadn't fallen on top of Yaebi that day, I really wouldn't have had any good reason to live.''

''Fate is real, Steph. Fate is real, and it wanted you to keep going.'' I said to her.

''Everything is dictated by fate, and it looks like it's on our side. Now if you excuse me, I have to talk with your sister…'' I got up and walked off. On the way I saw that Steve had fixed Fiona's cold problem, she and Paula were just sitting in a pool of lava the size of a small swimming pool. Typical Steve, he loves helping people. Maybe soon I should tell him how I feel…
