Third Person PoV

Valerie didn't make a sound, nor did she move. There were at least fifty tripwires between her and the Ender Eye ruby, the last piece she needed to finish the Machine, and the last thing she needed to free her adoptive father…

She sat and planned for nearly ten minutes, then finally made a move. She expertly jumped over, rolled under and flew above the tripwires to reach the next obstacle, solid obsidian, hardened glass and reinforced stone protection.

Valerie knew if one block were broken, it would ruin the stealth operation. She would have to break out, destroying most of the Museum, and Herobrine would not be happy. After a while, she had an idea. She flicked back her hair and took out one of her earrings. They were made of small shards of ender pearls, and she hoped they would be enough to act like the real deal. She aimed carefully at a crack she made, and flicked the shard with the end of her finger through it. There was enough force behind it to hit the other side of the opposite wall and smash. With a flash of purple, she was in. Carefully, she picked up the ruby. ''Wow, it's huge!'' she said quietly to herself, and with good reason. It was a little over a foot in diameter, and cut like a normal gemstone would, with a flat facet on top and a point at the bottom, and perfectly reflective facets along the edges. Valerie instantly took a liking to it. She used her other earring to escape the same way as she had entered, and cut open a window using one of the bones on her belt. As she flew out, she landed on a massive high rise and jumped through her dimensional portal back to the End. There, she flew up to one of her obsidian pillars and relaxed in the glow of an Ender Crystal. She noticed a bright flash and saw that Willow had gotten back from the Nether, and by the looks of it, had not been successful.

''Hi sis, how did it go?'' she asked her cheerfully.

''I got closer than you ever did, so shut up.''

''Yeah, but you still failed miserably, unlike me, check it out!''

She triumphantly pulled out the ruby and held it high above her head. Even in the dim, gloomy light of the End, its red glow seemed stoic, unwavering, and majestic. Even Willow was slightly impressed.

''Ok, now we have all the parts, we need to put it all together.'' Willow said, trying not to be struck by the jewels beauty.

''I have no idea how.'' Valerie replied simply.

''You have done well, now relax. The Machine can wait until you are feeling more comfortable.'' said a projection of Herobrine that had suddenly appeared.

''Yes, Father. I have a few unanswered questions that need straightening out, though.'' said Willow, but the projection disappeared just as quickly as it came.

''Questions like what?'' Valerie asked her sister.

''Well, I met this guy in the Nether, and…''

''Say no more, I know exactly what your problem is, and it's all about confidence…''

''No! No, not like that, it's just… he looked at me, and I looked at him, and then he said something.''

''What?''

''Valerie, be honest with me. Do you know anyone called Nova?''

At the word ''Nova'', Valerie froze. She dropped the ruby on her foot, and yelled out in pain. She decided it would make a good excuse to get out of this. She couldn't be remembering, could she? It was permanent, or was it? There was a lot going through Valerie's mind, but then she remembered the pain.

''Yeah, can't talk now, got to go fix this up, might take hours, so don't bother me.''

''Won't it take seconds with one of those crystals?''

''Uhh, I… gotta go!''

As her sister flew to the top of the tallest tower in the End, Willow sat down and thought. ''She knows something, but she won't tell me. What about Father? Does he know too? Who is Nova? Who is that guy? I feel like I've seen him before, and I keep getting these strange dreams, and they all end with an explosion and a girl calling out. What does it all mean?''

She decided to take her mind off it and go take Chaos to execute some prisoners. What she didn't realise was that deep in her mind, Nova was waking up.

And fighting back.
