Welcome Back
Past midnight, Phil sleeping in his bed, the door to his room is being opened. He wakes up immediately, sitting up, looking at the door, room still dark.
"No, no. Go back to sleep."
"Dan? Why didn't you call? I told you I'd pick you up."
Dan's bag on the floor, his coat off, followed by remaining clothes.
"Come on, the plane was six hours late, no way were I going to wake you up at 2am. Move, I'm cold." Phil slides to the side, Dan under the covers of Phil's bed. Their arms around each other in a tight embrace, eyes closed, reveling in the moment. Cars outside the window.
"Daniel, your hands are ice cold!" Whispers.
"They are, Phillip, just warm them up already." Tired smiles in the air. Dan's hands in Phil's, warm from covers and pajamas, moving toward his chest. Heartbeats.
"What happened?"
"Something important went missing, the pilot, I think. Also, it's raining outside." Blood pumping in Dan's hands and feet again, he becomes more comfortable in Phil's arms.
"I missed you."
"I missed you, too."
