Chapter Five: First Day Adventures.

The next morning I had a hard time waking up since I had started to get used to not going to school. Hikaru shook me endlessly attempting to get me off my bed. I groaned as I covered my head under my blanket.

"Luna, if we are late for school, it's gonna be your fault!" Hikaru pulled my blanket hard enough to completely take it away from me. "Get up!" He shook me again making me fall off the bed.

". . ." Silence filled the room as my brother realized what he had done. He backed away, throwing my blanket back on my bed. I rose slowly from the floor and walked up to Hikaru. He gulped. "I fell. Off the bed. Because of you."

"I'm… sorry?" I got closer to him and grabbed a chunk of his hair and pulled hard. "Do not do that again." He just nodded and as soon as I let him go, he ran straight to Kaoru. Who was coming out of my restroom, his hair dripping wet and uniform on.

"Luna, Mom brought you your new uniform, it's in your closet." He said trying to hold back a laugh when I glared at him.

"Did you take a shower in my bathroom?" I asked going into my closet to get my uniform. It looked just like the boys' except the jacket was more fitted and instead of pants, I wore a skirt with high knee socks.

"Yeah, Hikaru took really long in our shower. So, I came to yours." Kaoru sat on the couch while he dried his hair with a towel. An aqua towel. My towel. Huh. "Hope you don't mind…" I just rolled my eyes.

"I offered if you wanted to join me, but you said no," Hikaru suddenly said sitting next to Kaoru. Cuddling up to him even.

"Please stop," I said heading to the bathroom to take a quick shower. When I was done, I started to get dressed in my new uniform and noticed my mom forgot to add a tie. I sighed and walked out of the bathroom in just the shirt and underwear.

"Luna… Your skirt?" Hikaru sorta asked covering his eyes and Kaoru quickly looked down.

"It's just like I'm wearing a swimsuit. Stop making a fuzz about it." I walked back into the bathroom and put on my skirt. "Mom forgot to get me a tie!" I yelled from where I was.

"We can lend you one of ours!" I heard Hikaru reply from my room. "Okay! Could you bring it to me while I finish getting ready? Please!" I asked, putting my things on top of my sink. Make-up and whatnot. I heard Hikaru yell a quick 'yeah' and heard the door close behind him.

I started applying my make-up; I had decided I needed to make a good first impression. I was a Hitachiin after all. I heard Hikaru come back in, and he walked into the restroom where I was. "Can you tie mine? You do a better job than me." He asked putting one of his ties around his neck waiting for me to tie it. I looked at him through the mirror and stared. "What?"

"You throw me off my bed and expect me to tie your tie?" I asked never breaking eye contact. Hikaru rolled his eyes and got closer to me.

"I had to wake you up somehow, come on…" He kissed the top of my head and looked at me with puppy eyes. That never worked, but I always gave in pretending it did. I turned to face him and began doing his tie. He put the one he was lending me around my neck and started doing it as well. We both finished and Hikaru pulled on my tie and kissed my forehead. "You are the best sister ever."

"Huh, that sounds weird coming from you," I joked as I continued to apply my make-up. "Who are in our classes? Anyone I know?"

"Hmm, I guess just us, Haruhi, and Renge. I'm sure there's people from elementary school, but I don't think you remember them. They don't remember you at least…"

"How nice…" I sighed walking out of the restroom with Hikaru following behind me. I walked up to my dresser and took out a pair of socks. "White or navy?" I asked showing the two pairs to my brothers.

"White, and hurry Luna. We are gonna be late," Kaoru complained as he got up and walked up to the door.

"I just need to grab my shoes. Since when are you so punctual?" I looked at Hikaru and he just shrugged, as confused as I was.

"I want you to make a good impression on your first day, and you can't be late." He added as he grabbed a pair of shoes of the floor. "Mom brought these. She said they match the uniform. Let's go." I walked up to him and grabbed the shoes. We all walked downstairs and the smell of breakfast came rushing the closer we got to the first floor.

"Kids, are you all going to eat breakfast?" I heard Mom ask from the dining room.

"Sorry, Mom! We are running late. We will eat breakfast with you tomorrow!" Kaoru yelled as we were leaving the house. I heard Mom yell a quick 'okay' before we closed the door behind us. Two maids were already waiting for us outside the car with our backpacks.

"I hope this day goes by fast," I said once we were inside the car, leaning my head in Kaoru's shoulder.

"It's gonna be fine. Everyone will love you. Besides, you are our sister. We got your back!" He reassured me giving me a small hug. I sighed closing my eyes. "Who knows how people will react… I just want it to be over…" I felt Hikaru's hand on my shoulder, as if that would relax me. I sighed again. Ouran… here I come.

"So you're Hikaru's and Kaoru's sister?"

"Why did you live in Paris?"

"Are you okay with them being in the Host Club?"

"Your hair is so pretty, what shampoo do you use?"

"I love your uniform, where can I get one?"

"Do you have a boyfriend?"

"Everyone, please... She just got here. Give us some space." Kaoru pushed through some people getting us through all the commotion and into a classroom.

"I can't believe everybody knows about me…" I walked behind my brothers as they guided me to their desks. Hikaru pointed to a desk for me to sit, and I did.

"I bet you they researched about you once they heard you were coming. Someone must have seen you. And I mean… you are a Hitachiin," Hikaru stated as if me being part of my family gave everyone the right to know what shampoo I used. I turned around and faced him. I raised an eyebrow and realized how far Kaoru was (really just a row away, but that was far for me).

"Why can't I sit in the middle?" I asked pointing at the empty desk in between my brothers.

"Haruhi seats there." They both replied as if that was common sense.

"You can seat there if you want," I heard Haruhi's voice say from behind me.

"Really?" I turned to see her and smiled when she nodded.

"Sure, I don't mind. I can finally get those two from copying me." She took the seat in front of my new seat and I happily skipped over to sit between my brothers.

"Thank you, Haru-chan!" I took out a manga while I waited for the class to start. Fruits Basket. I blame Renge for getting me into shoujo…

"So, you're the new girl…" I looked up and my eyes grew wide. I stared at the boy that was right in front of me and back to what I was reading. The boy looked exactly like Kyo from the manga. My jaw almost dropped to the floor.

"Uh… I guess so? Luna Hitachiin." I offered my hand for a handshake and manga-boy took it.

"Kyo Itami. Pleasure to meet you, Luna." He smiled. I felt arrows go straight through my heart.

"Kyo?" He nodded. The biggest difference was his hair and his eyes. They were both brown. But his face was just like Kyo from the manga. I let out a small laugh and looked back at him.

"Something wrong?" He asked raising a brow.

"No, no… Sorry. It's just…" I took a deep breath. "Has anyone ever told you that you look like someone from a manga?"

"Renge and other girls have mentioned it, yes. He also has my name, right?" He smiled at me, and I couldn't help to smile back.

"Yes, that's right." All my bad thoughts about the school had gone down the gutter. Suddenly, going to school everyday didn't seem like such a horrible thing. I felt angry stares coming from both sides and I just shook my head. "I think it's better if you go to your seat, before these two kill you with their stares."

Kyo looked over at my brothers and let out a laugh. "Sure… See you later."

"Geez, you two have to behave yourselves. It's not like I get jealous when you do your little act in the Host Club..."

"What we do at the Host Club is acting… you and your flirting, however, was not acting," Hikaru argued as he crumpled a piece of paper.

"Who said I was flirting?" I asked crossing my arms.

"No one, it's just obvious…" Kaoru answered. I turned to glare at him and he just smiled nervously.

"Sooo… Are you enjoying Ouran so far?" Haruhi interrupted turning around to face me.

"I guess? I was basically attacked this morning so… Boys aren't so bad, though." I joked flipping my hair back while both my brothers sat up straight in their desks.

"See, you are checking out boys!" They yelled together pointing at me.

"I'm just kidding. I haven't been able to really do anything since you two bodyguards don't let me off your sight." I leaned back on my chair, closing my eyes while my brothers continued to argue. After a few seconds I decided to mute them out.

"Are you even listening to us?"

"Nope…" I replied smiling. I could hear them starting up again, and Haruhi laughed in the background. To my advantage, the day went by pretty fast, and soon we were in lunch. The commotion in the morning was nothing compared to what was waiting for me in lunch.

"So you are the manager of the Host Club?"

"Do you have a boyfriend?"

"Why did you move?"

"Do you like Ouran?"

"Do you even like the Host Club?"

"Are you really triplets with Hikaru and Kaoru?"

"Wanna be best friends?"

"Are you allowed to wear that uniform?"

One after the other, the questions just kept coming. I felt as if I was being bombarded by cannons. I swear I could almost see stars flying around my head. "Uhh… Can you-... Wai-... Um…"

"Hey, too many questions for one little head." Hikaru pulled me away from the circle of people that had formed around me and took me to a table.

"God bless you…" I sighed finally being able to breathe. "Why are people like this? Do you guys never get new people?"

"We do but never in the middle of the year…" Kaoru explained setting a tray of food in front of me.

"And you are our sister! They are curious about you," Hikaru said taking a bite of whatever it was he was eating.

"Boys keep asking me out too. I don't even know their names!"

"You're beautiful, Sis. They can't help it." Kaoru looked at me as if I was supposed to be expecting that.

"You do not ask a girl out the first time you speak to her. Are there no morals anymore? Isn't this school supposed to be teaching you all this?" I complained taking a look at what Kaoru had brought me for lunch. The food looked uneatable. Like art almost. I moved it around with a fork, and decided to give it a try.

"What about that guy in class? You didn't seem bothered by him," Hikaru added with a hint of sarcasm in his voice.

"Well, Hikaru, he didn't ask me out. He just introduced himself." I informed him pointing at him with my fork. "That is something you do when you are meeting someone for the first time."

"Yeah, yeah…"

"You're so annoying. Now I remember why I moved…" I teased feeling Hikaru's stare turn to me.

"Hey!" Hikaru pushed me making me spill some of my water on myself.

"Hikaru! Look what you did! Gosh!" I tried to dry myself with a napkin (which wasn't much help as it was a cloth napkin). I dipped the tip of my fingers in my cup and sprinkled Hikaru with water. Hikaru then did the same, and the splashing war began.

"You two stop right now! That is not proper behavior of a member of the Host Club!" Tamaki exclaimed from out of nowhere and slapped both of us in the head. I dipped my hand in my cup again and sprinkled Tamaki in the face. "Luna! That is not proper behavior of a lady!"

"Who said I was a lady…" I teased sticking my tongue out. I heard Tamaki grunt as he got a napkin to dry his face.

"Hey Luna," I heard a voice behind me and I knew it was Kyo.

"Hi, Kyo!" I quickly answered giving him a big smile.

"So, how you like school so far?" he asked taking a seat besides me.

"Well, everybody has been interrogating me like I'm some sort criminal," I answered resting my head in my hands.

"They are just curious that's all. They all go wild when someone new comes to the school, and especially since you are a Hitachiin."

"I guess so… but besides that, it's been going by pretty quickly. So, I guess it's not that bad." I could feel my brothers watching us while Kyo and I talked, but I didn't let that bother me.

"Are you taking any electives?" Kyo continued ignoring my brothers' glares.

"Yes, I am! I chose art and French. I'm excited for art, and well… French just seemed like an easy subject."

"Are you good in art?" I nodded at his question.

"Not to sound cocky or anything, but I'm pretty decent." I admitted taking a bite of whatever I was eating.

"I'm in art, too." He looked at my brothers, waiting for a reaction as he said that. They both stayed focused on their food, trying to ignore our conversation now.

"You are?" I asked, Kyo nodded.

"I think I'm pretty decent as well… My mom is an artist, so you can say it's in my blood."

"When do you have it? Maybe we have it together!" I took out my schedule from my backpack, and looked through it to find the art class.

"I have it fourth period, which is right after lunch. That's actually the only art class first years can take," he said looking at my schedule from besides me.

"Oh, I did not know that…" My gaze stopped when I read 'French - Fifth Period'. I looked at Kyo and said, "I wonder how the French teacher is…"

"She's alright… A little full of herself, but bearable. Besides, you should ace that class. You lived in France, right? At least that's what the rumors are saying," He joked standing up, grabbing his backpack from the floor. I rolled my eyes at his comment.

"You are leaving?" I asked, and he nodded.

"I don't want those two killing me…" He said looking at my brothers who were glaring at their food. "See you in art." He winked and waved goodbye. I looked at my brothers who were sitting in front of me with innocent looks on their faces.

"What? We didn't do anything. He left on his own…" Hikaru quickly said standing up, leaving his food tray behind.

"Um, aren't you forgetting something?" I asked pointing at his tray.

"Sis, that's what they are here for," he pointed at a few janitors and started walking away. I grabbed his tray, and walked over to him, hitting him in the back of the head.

"God gave you feet and hands, don't be spoiled. Our parents raised us better." I handed him the tray and he took it, rolling his eyes. "Don't you roll your pretty eyes at me…"

"Fine, fine… Just because you are right, and Mom and Dad raised us better." He walked up to the trash and set the tray on top of it with other trays.

"It is time to go already?" I asked taking my schedule out again and checked for my classes. We all walked towards the exit, both brothers by my sides.

"Yeah," Kaoru answered pulling me slightly towards him so I wouldn't bump into people.

"So, I have art next…" I felt Kaoru's hand go stiff as he held on to my arm.

"With that Kyo guy?" Hikaru grumbled taking a left turn, and we followed after him.

"You were listening to our conversation!" I gasped. "How rude of you!"

"It's not like you weren't sitting in front of us or anything," Kaoru said rolling his eyes.

"And he is not just some guy… He is a friend I made all by myself."

"Well, make girl friends, not boy friends…" they both almost demanded as we walked up some stairs.

"You both are just jealous," I giggled.

"No, we are not!" They both yelled crossing their arms. I shook my head and gave them both a kiss on the cheek.

"It's okay to be jealous. I actually think it's kinda cute," I added taking a look at my schedule again, checking for the classroom. "Gotta go. See you guys in French!"

"Behave yourself!" Hikaru warned me as I headed to the opposite direction. I gave him an okay sign with my hands and walked off. The day had been going faster than expected, but the random interrogations were making it a little harder than I liked. However, I knew I would be able to manage. Besides, a class with my new friend didn't sound bad at all.
