Disclaimer: I do not own Johnny Test

Ok, here's part two of my update this week. FYI, there will be one more double update in the next two weeks on the 28th, and since this is chapter 41 and I only planned out 46 chapters, that means only 4 more updates. I will do all my thanking to everyone on the last chapter, promise.

Done with the ramblings, on with the story!

Enjoy!

The next day

Sissy awoke that morning to the familiar sound of hungry babies. If she didn't know any better she'd think it was just another typical day, but today was different and Sissy knew it. She looked over and saw that Johnny was already out of bed, and heard she shower running. Sissy got up and tended to her babies, both of them suckled greedily before she dressed them and got them in their carriers. She took them to the room with her and got dressed before she went downstairs to eat, Johnny joining them.

"So you two are going out and looking for an apartment?" Hugh asked.

"Yeah." Johnny replied with a yawn.

"Good luck and I sincerely mean that." Hugh said kindly.

"Thanks dad." Johnny said with a smile before he and Sissy stood, taking a child each and going to the car.

"I have the paper with the want ads." Sissy said as she began to scan the paper once they got situated in the car. She circled five apartment ads.

"Ok, so I have the address to the first one we should check out today." Sissy said as Johnny started the car.

5 hours later

They were eating lunch downtown after their tiring search; the twins were resting in the carriers beside them at their booth.

"Nothing today, all were too small. One bedroom, not going to work with two kids." Johnny sighed.

"We'll look again tomorrow. Maybe while we still have time today we can go furniture shopping." Sissy said.

"Yeah, we'll need some for the new place, but we'll have to have them put it on hold for us." Johnny replied.

"And deliver it." Sissy added. As they finished their lunch Jacob and Jennifer began to cry for their lunch. Sissy grabbed a blanket to cover herself before picking up her son and placing him under the blanket that was across her chest and quickly pulled her shirt down and guided him to her nipple for him to suckle. Johnny held Jennifer in attempts to calm her crying, calming her down to just whimpers instead of wales. Once Jacob was done, Johnny took him and handed her Jennifer whom Sissy guided to the opposite nipple and Johnny burped his son.

"That is probably the most well cooperative couple with two infants I have witnessed in all my days." An elderly woman spoke quietly.

"And how the young mother covers herself fully is such a relief, and the blanket is thick by the looks of it, she planned well." Another woman commented quietly. Once Jennifer finished up Sissy carefully and quickly pulled up her shirt and bra straps and began to burp her daughter. After Jennifer let out a small burp with minimal spit up they two hooked the babies back into the carriers and then got them buckled into the car before going to the furniture store.

"We got lucky; they're having a clearance sale." Sissy said excited. Johnny rolled his eyes with a small smirk on his face as they got out of the car and grabbed the kids before walking into the store.

2 hours later

"Thank you for placing those on hold for us for the next week." Sissy said with a smile before they walked out of the store.

"How you managed that I will never figure out." Johnny chuckled.

"Honey, it's called bartering. It's a specialty of mine." Sissy said sweetly as they buckled their kids up.

"You have quite a few specialties dear." Johnny chuckled with a hint of seduction.

"Not yet honey." Sissy giggled before they got into the car themselves.

"I know." Johnny sighed.

"Don't worry, we'll have our wedding and honeymoon in November." Sissy said with an eager smile.

"I'm looking forward to it." Johnny said sincerely.

"So am I." Sissy said with a smile.

"So tomorrow, if our search is fruitless yet again, how about we go utensil shopping." Johnny suggested.

"Good idea." Sissy said with a smile.

The next day

Sure enough, their searching brought them nothing, but not for lack of trying, but for lack of money. They weren't willing to cough up half of their savings for a six month lease. The managers also seemed like real jerks, so they found themselves shopping for cups, glasses, bowls, plates, and silverware, along with Tupperware and anything else that they knew they would need. All of it would go in boxes once they got home, but at least they would have it.

"Third times the charm." Sissy said as Johnny paid for the items.

"Let's hope that holds true tomorrow." Johnny chuckled as they walked out of the store and to the car.

The next day

Sissy and Johnny had started their venture early that morning and with it now being ten, things weren't looking so great.

"According to the newspaper, there are about six more places we need to investigate." Sissy said before looking back and seeing the twins were sleeping.

"How are they?" Johnny asked.

"Sleeping, I don't blame them." Sissy said with a small yawn. They pulled into the parking lot of their fourth place that day, unbuckled the sleeping babies and started the walk to the manager's office. The apartment complexes looked nice and clean, the reviews online also were promising. Johnny knocked on the door and they waited for a few moments.

"Good thing we did our own credit score check before we started looking." Sissy said.

"Yeah, they can't ding us on that." Johnny chuckled quietly as the door opened. The man at the door was a burly looking man.

"Can I help you two?" the man asked before noting the two infants asleep in their carriers.

"We are interested in leasing an apartment, preferably two, maybe three, bedroom." Johnny said in a professional tone.

"Alright, I can show you a variety of the apartments available." The man said kindly as they started walking about.

1 ½ hours later

They came to the last apartment, one of the four three bedrooms they had in this building, since there were three building, and walked in. Sissy did a walk through, noticing the new washer, dryer, dishwasher, stove, and fridge.

"All the appliances look new Mister Gavston." Sissy said.

"That's because I have recently upgraded. No, the price is not added to the bill. I like to upgrade the appliances every five years, for safety reasons and appearance. We also do thorough pest control because for some odd reason this section of town is more prone to mice, spiders, and other pests than the rest. We do that every two years, even if it's ok, the risk is too great with children about. Maintenance is pivotal for me and this business." Mister Gavston said.

"What would the price of this apartment be and what is this one's pest record?" Sissy asked.

"This apartment has only had one mouse problem, but other than that it has remained clean, and with the maintenance we've never received any other reports. It would be the four of you correct, and with you both working at the video game shop downtown and your positions as cashier and assistant manager, this apartment would not be out of your price range. Any pets?" Mister Gavston asked.

"Debatable at the moment." Johnny and Sissy much as they loved their dogs, they didn't know if they would be able to afford them along with the rent and the babies. Johnny was sure Dukey would understand the situation.

"Well, the rent is, for two people with children, seven nineteen a month." Mister Gavston said. Johnny and Sissy did the math quickly and came to the conclusion that they would about five hundred left over each month on both of their salaries.

"Can we start on the papers?" Sissy asked earning a lighthearted laugh from Mister Gavston.

"Of course you can. Now, I'll just need a few things before hand and we can get started on this." Mister Gavston said as they walked back to his office.

1 hour later

"I'll give you the keys tomorrow once everything is put in and you can start moving right after." Mister Gavston said with a smile. Johnny then noticed that they weren't all that far away from Porkbelly Tech.

"How far away are you from Porkbelly Tech?" Johnny asked.

"About five blocks give or take." Mister Gavston said.

"That works out perfectly, I'll be going there this fall." Johnny said.

"Are you going to be able to afford the rent?" Mister Gavston asked seriously.

"Yeah, see when I was eleven my dad went on a major scholarship hunt with me, and well, I earned a full curling scholarship there that would be held for me when I started, plus I've earned one other scholarship recently." Johnny said before Mister Gavston slung his arm around the young man's shoulders.

"It does me good to hear that there are still some youths out there who are doing well in school." Mister Gavston said with a bright smile.

"Thanks. My fiancée would be going too, but she wants to take a year off to tend to the kids and work, she'll start next fall with the scholarships she's earned that have no limit on them." Johnny said. After they shook hands, Johnny and Sissy drove back to his parents place to tell them of the good news.

"So you found a three bedroom apartment so that each twin can have their own room and wake up on their own and not in unison." Lila said.

"Yeah, the rooms are next to each other and connected by a door. I mean, they have their own crib across the room so a separate room shouldn't be too different." Johnny replied.

"Maybe, but maybe they like the comfort factor; I still think we should reserve separating them until they are at least eighteen months old." Sissy said.

"You know that's what I was talking about right. I know I've discussed separating them early, but we agreed on eighteen months and I'm sticking to it hun, I swear." Johnny replied.

"Alright." Sissy said as she held Jacob while Johnny held Jennifer.

"So when should I call the movers to let them know?" Johnny asked.

"Tonight would be great. We can pay them from our savings if we split it." Sissy said.

"I know. I'll call now." Johnny said with a smile as he pulled out his phone, his daughter staring at the object and then reaching for it.

"No Jennifer." Johnny chuckled, putting it to the far ear away from his daughter. After making the arrangements for them to be at the apartment complex tomorrow at eleven Johnny hung up and continued to help Sissy pack up the last few things, having the twins sleep with them on a respective couch since they packed up everything.

"So you're not mad at me?" Johnny whispered to Dukey, making sure not to wake up his fiancée and kids.

"No, and even though I will miss you, I see it as you were being responsible. Plus, I know you guys want to eventually move into a house. Just save up and keep working your way up the latter at work and you'll have enough and a good enough credit score to get one in the next few years." Dukey said.

"I know, and with Sissy wanting to go and be a realtor agent, we should be good to eventually move into a home." Johnny said.

"Yes, but those degrees can take time and money." Dukey pointed out.

"We should get some sort of aid other than scholarships. Sissy did great in all her subject and earned quite a decent amount of money in scholarships, plus there's always help for those with kids at a minimum wage job, though I am getting more being an assistant manager and all. I might get another promotion soon actually, Larry has been hinting at it for a little while." Johnny chuckled with a smile.

"Good to hear, and maybe when you do get into a house you can take me then." Dukey chuckled.

"Maybe, anyway, busy day tomorrow and I need sleep. I'm glad Larry is letting me take a few days off to move." Johnny said with a yawn before letting sleep take him.

The next day

Johnny and Sissy, along with the help of their parents and Johnny's sisters and their husbands, all rushed over with the boxes, arriving just before the movers did with the furniture recently purchased, and because Tony had a truck, they managed to get the bed and cribs over as well. Johnny went into the manager's office, got the keys after thank the manager again, and once the door was opened the furniture and boxes began to pile in. Lila ran Sissy to the bank to get into her savings for half of the total amount for the movers; Johnny would go over once all the boxes were in the apartment.

2 hours later

Once all the furniture was arranged and boxes put in the rooms they belonged in, Johnny went to the back to draw out the remaining amount for the movers while Sissy stayed with the babies.

"Thank you again." Sissy said to the movers as she handed them her half.

"Your fiancée will have the other half correct?" one of the men asked.

"Yes." Sissy replied kindly. Johnny returned and gave the men the rest of the money and dismissed them kindly. They set up the cribs in one room and then began to unpack for the baby's room first before moving onto their own after the placed the twins in their cribs. They left the baby room door open as to hear if they started to cry. After they finished with their room they moved onto the living room, grateful that the movers had gotten the furniture in correctly, all that was left there were a few pictures on the wall and the DVDs and video games, which took about an hour to do before they moved onto the kitchen, since it was almost dinner time. Just as they finished up the kitchen the twins began to cry, calling Sissy.

"I'll be back in a moment; please could you run to the store and get the things on this list?" Sissy asked as she handed him a short list.

"Sure." Johnny said as he grabbed the keys, locked the door as he left and walked down the flight of stairs to his car. It still felt weird to him knowing he now lived out of his parents place. Upon returning he saw that Sissy was already getting the pans out for dinner as he brought in the seven bags of groceries.

"Good thing we have until the first of the month to pay our rent." Sissy said.

"No kidding." Johnny chuckled as he set the grocery bags down. He was sure they would get this all figured out by the time school started so that they could learn all the new obstacles that would come up in stride. Johnny smiled, knowing that the road ahead wouldn't be easy, but as long as they could take in stride and equally, it would work out.

Ok, I know it generally takes longer than 3 days to find a place to live, one of my friends had been looking for a month or so before she found a place, but for the sake of time and creativity I made it only 3 days. Hope you liked it. It was family fluff. Ok, chapter 42 will be posted on 9/21/13. R&R please and thank you, see you all next week.
