Hello! Thanks for those who read this and commented as well. Reading back the first two chapters, I noticed mistakes on my part and for that I am thoroughly sorry. Anyway, here's the next chapter, sorry for the long wait as well.

Sirius' POV

It's one of those days that I find myself restless and seeking for a new adventure yet there's really nothing I can think of. After dinner, James decided to follow Lily to the library and pester her to his heart's content and although I enjoy that scene in some days, I'm just not feeling it today. "Hey Remmy, what are you guys planning to do?" I asked Remus and Peter who both had their books opened as they sat near the fire place in the Gryffindor's common room. He looked up and shrugged. "I'm helping out Peter with this essay for McGonagall's class. Are you done with yours?" He asked while both of them looked at me expectantly.

"It can wait. I think I'm just gonna go for a stroll first." I said getting up from the couch I was perched on. A few third year girls try to smile at me as I turned my back from my closest friends and headed for the door but all I did was winked at their direction and I was out of the tower in a few seconds. As I exit, I came face to face with a fuming Lily Evans, obviously irritated over at James who appeared right after her. I made way for the red-head to mutter the password for the Fat Lady to give her access and looked at James who just smiled meaningfully at me. He obviously succeeded in irritating her again. It was amusing how he gets off in that kind activity and not just admit it to the girl that he likes her to death.

I just shook my head at him. "Hey where are you going?" James called out as I walked past him. I turned and answered. "Just going to take a walk." He nodded and smiled once again. "Take care and watch out for the prefects, it's almost bed time!" I gave a salute and was off. The staircases moved accordingly to my preference and soon I was in the ground floor thinking where's the best place to go to. Maybe a snack first will do so I headed to the kitchens and greeted a house elf or two while I took some muffin and some fruits before heading out once again. It's approaching midnight and I'm sure the prefects will be patrolling for wayward students such as myself.

But just like any other night, that knowledge didn't deter me from wanting to continue my evening stroll. I made my way towards the ground careful to not make a sound as I finished off my muffin and bit into an apple. Just as I was about to round up the corner, I saw a silhouette of a girl moved carefully in the shadows in front of me. Wondering who it was, I followed her. By the looks of it, she was just like me trying her best to avoid being caught by the authorities at this time of the night sneaking around the castle. She was dark-haired but due to the darkness and being behind her makes it impossible for me to immediately determine who she was. Finally, there's something exciting that I might witness by this.

I followed silently and as soon as I saw her rush into the night with that careful grace, I was surprised to finally know who the girl is. The moon gave a soft glow illuminating the grounds towards the lake that it made it easier for me to see that it was no other than Mary Macdonald who was breaking the rules like me tonight. I was about to take another step towards her direction when I heard someone who effectively prompted me not to. "And where do you think you're going, Black?" I looked at the source of the firm yet feminine voice and met the icy blue gaze of Marlene McKinnon.
