"Officers, I'll take him," Kensi calls out as she jogs up to the two Abu Dhabi police officers holding onto their suspect at the opposite side of the foyer. She swerves around anther police officer as she crosses the wide room and holds up her badge in the process. Both officers nod at the sight of her badge and release the still smug suspect. A man a few years younger than her by appearance stands strong and stares at her intently as she finally reaches his side, grabs his handcuffed arms and begins guiding him towards the access hallway where she knows that there'll be a conference room or an office where they can talk privately.
"And who are you, pretty thing?" the suspect sneers. He grunts when Kensi kicks his ankle as they turn into the access hallway. The agent focuses on the last office in the hallway where no one will hear her conversation with the suspect. She's tired and beginning to finally feel herself slipping into the erratic behavior that's been brewing since Deeks had been tortured. If the suspect gives her anything other than a simple answer, she'll probably shoot him in the leg.
Kensi turns the knob of the office and kicks open the door with the heel of her foot. She pushes the suspect through the door and shuts it behind her. "My name is Special Agent Kensi Blye and you have a hit on my partner Marty Deeks and Special Agent Sam Hanna. You are going to tell me why."
"I'm not going to tell you anything," the suspect laughs. His smile immediately disappears when Kensi takes out her pocket knife. She holds the knife tightly and repeats quietly, "You are going to tell me why my partner is on your list and you can start by doing so with your name."
"Crazy-"the suspect gasps when Kensi marches forward and grabs the man by the collar. She inhales deeply and growls, "I am not afraid to do whatever it takes to end this. Too many people have suffered because of your boss so I'm going to ask you one more time before I do something regretful to you. What is your name?"
"Kensi, he's not going to say anything," the brunette agent suddenly hears from the doorway. She turns her head to see Deeks standing and staring blankly at the suspect. She cocks her head in surprise at her partner as she's 100% sure that she hadn't heard him coming. Deeks takes a few steps past Kensi and looks down blankly at the suspect. The lack of apathy in Deeks' eyes is frightening enough to have Kensi take a step closer towards the suspect just in case Deeks does the thing that's been on her mind the last few minutes.
"I mean look at him- he looks like a stubborn son of a bitch that won't change his ways. He'd rather go to jail than give up anything on Nahili," Deeks shrugs, "I say we don't bother. I say that we just let him go- oh, we can let him go in the Al Wahda mall on a busy afternoon when it'll be packed. Nahili will probably realize that you and your friend are once again empty handed and will probably call a friend with a rifle. I wonder how long he'll last in the mall before he hits the floor bleeding from the neck."
The suspect's eyes widen as Deeks talks and he chokes out a cough in a panic. Kensi relaxes and starts following along with her partner's goal of scaring the hell out of the suspect. She crosses her arms and smiles, "You're right, Deeks. I think that he'll make it probably a few hours based on how far his friend got away after attacking Sam. He won't even see it coming. Let's go-"
"Wait!" the suspect sits straight up in the chair and holds out his handcuffed hands. "My-my name is Jasmin. It's Jasmin…..I'll talk, alright? I'll talk."
"That's what I thought," Deeks states, "Where is Nahili?"
"I'll tell you everything you need to know if you can promise me," the suspect pleads, "to get me into some kind of Witness Protection program after this. I don't want Nahili to ever find me and do what he's probably doing to the SEAL's wife to me."
"Wait, so he's where?"
With the suspect now in Abu Dhabi custody; Kensi, Deeks, Sam, Callen and Hetty stand around a map of the UAE that's spread out on the floor of the now empty foyer. Kensi leans forward and points to an empty space between two highways south of the city. "Our suspect Jasmin claims that Nahili has a camp out in the desert at this location. Once we….lied about giving him protection, he told us everything- the camp has about 20-30 men who are all armed and patrol the remains of an old building that Nahili uses to meet."
"Michelle has to be kept in the building," Deeks adds. Keeping his gaze as far as way from Sam as possible, he says, "Unless our suspect who probably would have told us Nahili's hair, eye color and if Nahili had an Instagram account if we hadn't stopped him; is lying, this is our best bet."
"So let's go in and raid the place!" Sam exclaims.
"That isn't an option, Mr. Hanna," Hetty replies. She brushes the faintest sight of dust from the crisp suit she's wearing in the 100 degree plus heat outside. She's already way past her tolerance for the amount of crap she's had to put up with today- a seven hour flight on a cramped Bombardier, the hour long argument with the Director to explain why two of her wounded agents were wandering around the UAE and the bleeding heat.
Oh, the endless heat might be at the top of her list right now.
"Sam won't wait," Deeks suddenly says with a bit of snark. Kensi sighs in response and Sam can feel himself tensing up quicker than he expected.
"I didn't say that we weren't going to go after Mrs. Hanna, Sam, I was saying that a raid in itself could get many people killed," Hetty replies, initially ignoring Deeks' comment. She walks behind Kensi and into the rather large open spot between Deeks and Sam. She looks up between the men and states, "We need to get an aerial view of the location and make a soft breech of the building we are sure Mrs. Hanna is in. My suggestion is that we use a drone to do this."
"I can call around to ask a few friends in the military to get a drone here within an hour," Callen volunteers.
Hetty holds up a finger and then points to Kensi. "I think you should assist Mr. Callen, Miss Blye. I believe that Mr. Hanna and Mr. Deeks have some things to discuss before we move forward."
