Ail Ain, United Arab Emirates

For a minute, Sam can only stare at his wife, mouth agape as he tries to process his wife's statement. He takes a second look at her and swallows hard as she winces while sitting down next to him. Somehow, she still shines beautifully to him, but he buries the thought to focus back on the looming situation. "How- how does- how long- are you ok?"

"I thought that we'd establish that," Michelle snaps. She huffs out a breath and glares at her husband. "Start from the beginning."

"Well, Deeks and I make it to Abu Dhabi under what we believe to be under the radar. Nahili's men caught us at the hospital and long story…shorter, we caught one of Nahili's men, made him contact Nahili and then tried to trap another of one of his men in a meeting in the market. That's how I got captured."

Michelle pauses and then softens her expression. She buries her head into Sam's shoulder and sighs, "Ok- I'm sorry I snapped. I know you would never make a risk without thinking it through. I'm just- I heard what one of his men said and I panicked. It makes sense for him- he's getting cornered by the U.S and…. it makes sense."

"The cronie who came in and said that….could he have done it intentionally? How long ago did he stop by?"

"I didn't imagine it, Sam-"

"That's not what I'm saying, babe." Sam lifts up her chin and continues, "It sounds like something they'd say to scare you, especially with Nahili's phone call with Deeks."

"Sam, it's been days since I've last slept. The last time I slept, I dreamed of our little ones finding out about…me dying. That and worrying about you….look, what you're saying sounds right, but I've heard chaos outside these walls for the last few hours. Something is about to go down."

Sam rests his head against the wall and begins calculating what he knows about the distance between Abu Dhabi and Ail Ain- two hours by car and probably down to an hour by helicopter. He knows how his team works and he has the uneasy feeling that Nahili expects the team to come full force. "Look, Nahili wants us both dead and killing me and you without Deeks doesn't allow that. If he waits for the team to come and has the product out of the way, he kills a hell of a lot of birds with one stone."

His wife nods in agreement. "Ok, if I'm Nahili and I have nuclear weapons and two American federal agents, but also have a cop running around the UAE. Am I going to seriously wait for them to come to my front door and then ambush or set off a bomb to kill everyone?"

"Yes, that's exactly what I do." Sam pushes himself onto his knees and begins scanning every inch of the dark room. " Nahili was dumb enough to send men that set off gunfire in public. Waiting for the rest of the team is exactly what I would do and when that happens, we need to be ready."

Less than a quarter of a mile from the perimeter of the camp, a 1994 Toyota Camry crawls to a stop on the lone sandy road that leads to Nahili's camp. A tall man in a white thwab and a red keffiyeh steps out of the car and walks to the center of the road with his hands in the air. He waits a minute in complete silence until at the entrance of the camp, a 10 foot expandable black fence, slides open and two of Nahili's patrol soldiers step out and walk towards him. When the patrol soldiers are within ten feet of him, the man calls out, " I need help," in Arabic.

"Turn around and head back," one of the soldiers yells back and turns with the full belief that the man will listen. It's a foolish move as the man in the keffiyeh suddenly drops to his knees, covers his head and clicks on the small red button in hand, triggering the C-4 taped under the trunk of the Camry to explode. The blast incinerates the soldier closest to the car and leaves the second soldier screaming and covered in flames. The man rips off his keffiyeh, revealing himself to be an Abu Dhabi police officer who had volunteered for the mission. " Agent Callen, two are down," he mics.

"On it," Callen answers from a truck a mile from the western border of the camp. He can see the explosion off in the distance through the front window and it gives a momentary relief- it's been two and a half hours since rendezvousing with Kensi and Deeks and hearing Hetty's plan of rescuing Sam and Michelle.

"I've just sent a Honeywell RQ-16 T-Hawk reconnaissance drone over the area and found the camp is surrounded a barrier and consists of five tents that surround the border and one, assumingly Nahili's to be in the middle. The patrol is estimated to be about 20 men strong."

"Hetty, uhm….That's not…comforting," Deeks mutters, "How are we going to do this without Nahili killing Michelle and Sam when we come through the front door?"

"You don't. You set off multiple explosions that will put everyone in a state of panic. The team, minus Mr. Deeks, will then raid from different points on the barrier and work to the middle."

And so far everything has gone to plan.

Callen grips his Smith & Wesson AR-15 tactical rifle as the truck revs up and begins racing down towards the camp. He hears a second explosion off in the distance and recognizes the second explosion set up on the opposite of the camp. He knows that Kensi is driving towards the camp near the second explosion just as he is with the intention of ramming the barrier and taking out the patrol. "Kens, are you getting clear?"

"We're about to. Callen, I don't like this."

Callen opens his mouth to respond but the truck slams into the barrier. He has to grab onto the seatbelt to keep himself from falling over from his seat. The truck manages to knock down the barrier fence to have it collapse onto the hood of the truck. Callen doesn't wait for the driver to attempt to push anymore past the barrier. He presses a finger to his earpiece and calls out, "Remember we work our way through and meet up at the central camp. Don't engage until I get there- I repeat, do not engage the center tent until I get there."

And if we're lucky, maybe Sam and Michelle can survive this, is the agent's last thought before kicking open the back door, If we're lucky.
