Philippines+Hetalia: Gakuen Days Ch. 11

Concert

"Going to the meeting?" Vietnam asks Philippines. The two Asians are walking in the hallway of the school. It's been a week since America's little planned adventure for Philippines.

"Of course. Why else am I following you?" Philippines replies.

"I thought since New Year…"

Philippines chuckles. "Nah, I'm over that!"

"Really?" Vietnam is not convinced. "Just the other I say you throwing darts at America's picture, not to mention you throwing darts at the real America."

"That's not me mad." Philippines says. "I throw darts at America everyday!"

(You are now imagining Hetalia's opening theme song)

"Is everyone here?" Taiwan asks.

"Yeah." The countries respond.

"Then let's get started with thi-" A loud bang of the door opening interrupts Taiwan.

"Stop your lame meeting. We are in a crisis!' The entire club turn to see who bursted in. At the doorway is Prussia along with Austria.

"What do guys want?" Taiwan asks.

"Sorry for the interruption," Austria starts off, "but the Music club has a dilemma and we were hoping the Asian club will aid us."

"Why are you coming to us?" Korea asks the next question.

This time Prussia answers. "All the other stupid clubs rejected to help us."

"What's the problem then?" another Asian questions.

Austria come from behind Prussia. He is hiding one of his hands behind his back. He reveals his hand to show a cast on it. "I broke my hand and it won't heal for a couple of weeks. The music club concert two week and with my cast I won't be able to play. I'm the only that performs at the it. That's why we came you guys. We hope you can perform the recital."

"Perform the concert!" they exclaim.

"We can't do anything musical." Macau (who is also in the club for those of you who forgot) says.

"You guy's sing, don't you?" Prussia argues. "You are always doing that karaoke."

"That's not singing." Korea says. "That's just us embarrassing ourselves in front of family and friends."

"Come on." Austria looks around at the countries. "At least one of you must have musical talents."

Taiwan answers him. "Korea plays the ahjeng and Philippines is the only good singer. That's about it."

"Two people." the Austrian mutters. "That's still not enough."

"You play the it all by yourself." Philippines tells him. "Why can't two people perform at it."

He grins at her. "That's me playing many pieces of ingenious music beautifully. Compare that to two people just randomly playing."

"And here I thought Prussia was the only one with a god complex." Taiwan mumbles.

"If we can't invite clubs to perform then we can ask individual people?" Vietnam suggests.

"That's a good idea." Austria says. "Anymore ideas?" the countries start spouting out ideas for the concert. He has to write it all down for there are so many suggestions. They stay all evening at the school to finish.

"I think this good enough." Austria straightens up his papers. "I'm glad that we asked you guys to help. For that, I am forever grateful." He reaches his hand to them for a handshake. The Asians just look at him with confused faces.

"What's that for?" they ask.

"Okay…" Austria puts down his hand and he and Prussia take their leave.

=Austria "Hetalia"=

"Hey China." Philippines runs up to her kuya. "Do have any musical talents?"

"I can squeak out a couple notes on a suona but that's about it." China replies. "Why do you ask, aru?"

"The music club is having a concert and Austria can't perform. So he asked the Asian club to help find people perform at it." Philippines answers.

"Just asks around the Asians. At least one of them plays the violin or piano. You know how Asians are."

"Yeah." Philippines and China hear the tardy bell ring so the rush into the classroom. The class goes by as usual, everyone is rapidly taking note as Philippines takes a nap in the back. After the class is over, Philippines asks around to see if anyone can participate in the recital but is at no avail.

"Any luck?" China approaches the filipina.

"No." she pouts. "I've asked everyone but no one has any musical ability. And all those who did were busy that day."

"What are you kids still doing in my classroom." Mr. Hankel yells. "Bad enough I have to see you forty-five minutes a day."

"Mr. Hankel, are you musical in any way?" Philippines asks the grouchy teacher. "If you do, maybe you could consider is performing in a concert."

"Unless you want to watch me burp out my ABC's then I don't think you want me in it." He then grabs his meter stick. "Now, get out!"

=China "Hetalia"=

Philippines searches through the library (she didn't know that the academy had a library until a few weeks ago.) She looks amongst the books until she ran into very large eyebrows.

"I never knew you went to libraries." England whispers to her in a mocking tone. "I would have never guessed you were as a bookworm."

"I am as much of a bookworm as you are as a cook." she retaliates.

England chuckles and admits defeat. "Touche. So, what are you doing here?"

"Just doing a book report." Philippines says as she flips through a book.

"When is it due?" England reaches for a book right next to her.

"The 23rd."

"I'm free the 22nd if you want help on starting your report."

"Thanks, but I'll be finished before then."

"Sure...see you on the 22nd."

"Oh, hey England." Philippines slams her book close thus making everyone shush her. "Sorry." She says quieter. "So England, can you like doing anything worthy for a concert?"

"is this about the music club's recital?" he asks.

"Yeah." she answers. "Can you participate at it?"

"What makes you think I can?"

"Well a those famous band come from your country; like Duran Duran, the Beatles, and One Direction!" Philippines looks at England with pleading eyes. "Please, can you be in it? For me?"

With one look at Philippines, the Brit blushes. "I'll think about it."

Philippines face lights up with joy. "Thank you!" She squeals as she gives him a big hug.

England's face turns into a brighter shade of red. "I just said I'll think about it!"

=England "Hetalia"=

"Yo Philippines." America yells in the stairwell. Apparently America saw Philippines scurrying towards the stairs (mostly because she was trying to escape him) but, he managed to catch up with her.

"I heard you were setting up people with gigs for Austria's rockfest." America says when he finally makes Philippines come to a complete stop. "You think I could be in it? I'm pretty good at rocking out." America pretends to shred on a guitar.

"First of all it's the music club's formal concert and second of all you are not in it." Philippines says coldly.

"Awww! Why?!" he whines.

"Because I heard you when you try to sing or play an instrument. Let's just say you need new hobbies." she tells him.

America shrugs off the rejection. "Oh well. At least I got one of the things I came here for."

"What?"

"I finally got you to talk me after New Year's."

"Wow, it is. I guess I'm not as mad as I was before."

"I knew could stay mad at me, baby." America jumps on the step below Philippines. "What was it that broke you? Was it my charming good looks?"

Philippines laughs. "Keep dreaming."

Day of Concert...

Austria paces across on the stage. The Asian club is back there with him along with the musicians.

"It's a big crowd, as usual." Prussia comes back on the stage. He notices Austria sweating up a storm. "Don't worry Austria, my awesomeness will make this concert work out."

"Hey Austria." Philippines calls to him. "Everyone is here!"

"Really! Let's see what we got." he goes to the group and sees a bunch of people lined up. Some of them don't even look like there even here to play music. There are people on unicycles and there are people juggling and one of them is on a elephant.

"They aren't musicians. What do you think this is, a circus!" Austria starts shooing everyone away. "All those who aren't here for the concert, get out." Two thirds of the crowd leave. "Those who can actually play good music and not just sing in the shower, stay." After everyone leaves, all there is left are about half a dozen people.

"There are a few people here." Taiwan says. "We work with these few people."

"Yeah, yeah. the Austrian takes a deep breath in. "You guys rehearse what you are going to play?" The countries nod. Then England comes rushing in.

"Sorry I was late." England grabs Austria's shoulder to keep himself up. "I was drinking tea and I got distracted by this fairy and-"

"No matter." Austria removes England from himself. "You'll be the first one to perform."

"What?!"

"You have no time to waste." he hands the nervous Brit a guitar. "You have music to play and people to please. Don't disappoint." He shoves him out there and the curtains open.

Prussia is out there making his usual pompous speeches. England looks out into the crowd but couldn't see them because the bright light is shining in his face. Nervous sweat runs down his face. He looks over to the side and the first person he sees is Philippines. Their eyes lock. Philippines notices England's nervousness and she tries to comfort by giving him a thumbs up. It isn't much but that is enough support for him.

"Our first performance will be England!" The crowd cheers and the band starts the introduction. England steps up to the microphone and sings(Let's Enjoy Today).

An afternoon tea break

is common practice for the noble.

Looks like flowers are

blooming at the banks of Thames,

aren't they?

"Wow, he can sing. I never knew England could do things other than burn food and drink tea." Korea comments.

"He does have all those famous singers from his country." Taiwan says. "Like Justin Bieber."

"Isn't he from Canada?" Vietnam corrects.

Taiwan tilts her head in confused. "What's a Canada?"

I won't be beat by France

in fashion and tradition!

Although I am jealous

of his silky hair…

"Maybe this concert will be a success." Philippines whispers to Austria, who is trying his best to hide his anxiety.

"It's just starting." he replies. "Let's just hope things will continue like this."

Ladies and gentlemen let's enjoy

the limited time we have today!

England finishes his guitar solo thus ending the song. Everyone sits there in silence for a moment. Then they go in a clapping rage.

"You did it!" Philippines is the first one to congratulate England. "I'm so proud of you."

"Remind me never to do that again." he gasps.

"Who's next?" Austria sees two girls standing behind him. One of them has a very scary look to her (it might be even scarier than Russia's) and another has a pair of overly large-

"Boobies!" Korea drools as he spot the poor girl's big bosoms. he leaps towards them but gets knocked down by Philippines.

"Maybe if I neuter him…" she mutters.

"Up next is Ukraine and Belarus…" Prussia begins to say.

"Good luck!" Philippines says to the two girls as she pins Korea down.

"Today they'll be performing their song 'Carrots and Sticks'!" The two grab their mikes and the music starts.

Я тебя люблю

Ukraine: I love you, love you, love you, I love you so much!

Я тебя люблю x3

Belarus: Marriage, marriage, let us be married!

Love is so sweet that it hurts. If either of them is missing, it's just not enough!

In the crowd, you can notice Russia trying to sneak out from the back but Belarus notices him in the darks. While she sings, she points her fingers at him, thus making the light's people shine a spotlight on him. Russia's plan for escape fails.

"Dears brother…" Belarus starts to say. "Why will you not give your signature to our (marriage) papers? Have you already chosen another one to give your signature to?..."

Then she stares at random girl in the front row."...YOU! IT'S YOU! THIS WAS YOUR DOINGGGG! UNFORGIVABLE! IRREDEEMABLE!INEXCUSABLE!

"I'm sorry for being such a bewitching older sister~!" Ukraine giggles.

Belarus: You should boil in that pechka

A befitting, blazing sanction that fit your inexcusable actions!

Ukraine: Let's bake bread in that pechka over there!

Such a simple and happy thing to make to warm your stomach!

Now, let us finally become one together. One together... One together…

"Just when I thought it was going well." Austria pouts.

"It's okay." the Asians comfort him. "There's a fire escape out back if want to make a run for it"

Ukraine: (At same time) I'll teach that very principle on your body.

Belarus: (At same time) I shall carve that onto that body of yours

You see, it's a fate you can't break from an-y-more.

"Thanks girls for...that." Prussia says using as much euphemism as he can. The crowd slowly applaud the act. In the corner is Russia, who is trying to find his happy place.

"Next are the instrumental acts." the musicians of varied instruments come out to present. There's Koera weird string thing. People didn't realize he was playing it until he ended his performance. After him were the Baltics states with their zither ensemble.

"This recital is back on track!" Prussia pats Austria on the back. "My awesomeness prevails!"

"Who the hells is that!" Austria points at the stage. Coming down to the stage from above is a man in a short toga (I feel sorry for those people who accidently looked up). He has curly brown hair topped with brown eyes.

"Grandpa Rome!" Italy yell.

"Grandpa Rome!?" everyone says after them.

"Here's a song, for everybody here." ancient Rome clears his throat and begins to sing- ahem I mean tries to sing.

On Earth Heaven can be like this-

The cooks are French

The police are British

The mechanics are German

The bankers are Swiss

And the lovers are Italian~

Yahoooo~

Everyone sighs with relief when he finishes. But he is not done yet. The light happy tone changes to something dark and scary.

On Earth Hell can be like this-

The cooks are British

The police are German

The mechanics are French

The lovers are Swiss

And the bankers are Italian

"Thank you everybody." Ancient Rome gets pulled back up in the rafters.

"Bye bye, Grandpa!" Italy waves. The crowd sit there in silence. They have the what-the-f*** looks plastered onto their faces.

"Philippines." Austria whispers in her ear. "You have to go out there and finish the concert."

"Why me!?" she exclaims.

"Because…" he responds. "We have to get someone to go there and perform before they realizes what happened and leave. The music club reputation will not end like this."

"But…" she argues but she already finds herself in front of the crowd. There's no turning back now. The music plays over head as Philippines prepares herself. "Here goes nothing." Breaking on the ground

Silence all around

Thinking to myself

Never ever wanna be found

Not now

The countries snap out of their confusion and notices the petite country singing her heart out.

Baby I'm afraid to make the same mistakes

Maybe I'm just tired of all the promises

That love makes

That love breaks

Every time I try to let myself believe

I end up with another reason I should leave

I do you know if something is worth saving

"Look at the crowd." The Asians points at the people. "This is going to be a su-"

"Don't' says anything until the recital is actually done." Austria interrupts them

You said Baby I wish you could see

What I see

Coz lately I felt like your all I'd ever need

And baby there's nowhere else I'd rather be

So maybe you could take a chance on me

Philippines voice reverberates through the room. The countries stand up and cheer for Philippines phenomenal performance. She sighs with relief as she bows before them.

"Now we can say the concert was a success…"

(You are now imagining Hetalia's ending theme song)

=So here are the list of songs features in this chapter:

Let's Enjoy Today

Carrots and Sticks

=I thought it would be cute to add songs sang by the actual countries so I puts these in there (with a surprise performance by Ancient Rome!) The last song was just me choosing a random song sung by a filipina (Marion Aunor) so I hope you enjoyed that. Once again I made this ch long. I'll try to make it shorter with the next one :D=
