Me: Hey everyone! I'm gonna let you all know that the story is gonna come to an end real soon but I don't know when so you better watch out for it!

Momoko: Its gonna end soon?

Me: Yeah. Right now, my mind is focused on other stuff so my imagination on this story is coming to an end soon so I'll try to find more ideas for it.

Miyako: You can do it, Crown-san!

Me: Thank you!

Kaoru: Thank god there are no truth or dares for us! *sighs in relief*

Me: For now but I'm sure it'll come real soon.

Kaoru: Damn it!

Me: Now, I only own the plot and the characters belong to their respective owners. Enjoy the story!

Ch. 17

Butch's p.o.v.

We started walking on a path that was smooth and solid, which was perfect for us to use so we could get to our destination faster without any bumps on the way. We were already out of the area where we were and had Jack use Hector to sniff out the location in finding the territory where the Voltiacs used to reside in. Hopefully, he'll be able to find something once we get to their territory.

Right now, we were in a deserted area that looked like we were in the middle of nowhere. Yeah, the same middle of nowhere thats in Courage the Cowardly Dog. Thats right, I watch that show and I really love it. Before you ask, lets just say Boomer was the one who introduced me to the show. I can see why some children from back then were terrified of that show. I think it actually rocks. Those are the type of scary monsters I wanna meet in real life.

Back to the topic, we kept on walking until Hector suddenly moved to a different direction. Jack had to follow to where he was going since he was the one holding onto him. We followed behind them and walked on a different path that felt rugged and we could feel some rocks beneath the soles of our feet.

"Did he find the territory?" I heard Kaoru ask Jack.

"Something is causing Hector to sniff to that direction. It must be something big but we have to see if we actually did find the territory or not," Jack explained.

"I really hope its the territory," Momoko sighed.

"Its a bit tough walking on rocks," Miyako said.

"Just pretend they're not there and you'll eventually forget about them," Kaoru replied.

"Do you want us to carry you girls?" Brick asked.

"If you're tired, we'll be happy to carry you," Boomer said.

"He's right," I replied with a small smirk on my face.

"I think I'm good. I'd like to remain free from being touched by a certain pervert," Kaoru nearly glared at me. Hey, I'm not that perverted!

"I'm good, Brick-kun. But thank you for the offering, though," Momoko told Brick.

"I'm good as well, Boomer-kun," Miyako smiled at Boomer.

"Okay but don't hesitate to ask," Brick said.

"Alright but if you do wanna be carried, I'm right here!" Boomer kissed Miyako's head.

I looked at Kaoru and saw that she was pretending to gag at the sight. Kaoru-chan, you shouldn't be shy about this. I know that you enjoy it whenever I kiss you but you're too stubborn to admit it. Too bad I can't read your thoughts now because I'd like to keep my family jewels intact and still have the ability to make babies.

"Bark! Bark! Bark!"

I turned my head to find Hector barking a lot at something and he then got out of Jack's grip and quickly moved forward towards a direction that he wants us to go to.

"Hold on, Hector!" Jack yelled at him.

We quickly ran after him since he isn't stopping. Luckily, we didn't had to run that long because he managed to stop and ran around in circles at something he found on the ground. We got over there and looked at what he found. My eyes widened in shock as I saw what was on the ground.

"No way," I said. "That symbol!"

On the ground was a symbol that was very familiar to me and my brothers: a golden swirling spiral with an upside down L on it that's flipped vertically. They actually lived in this area. It was almost right under our noses the whole time!

"Didn't that figure in black also had that symbol on its cloak?" I heard Momoko say.

"Thats right," Brick frowned. "Looks like those Voltiacs are a lot more clever than we thought. Their territory was here and a bit far from the territory of other clans. I'm surprised that they were hidden so well since its the middle of nowhere."

"But why here, though? And why is their symbol visibly shown on the ground where people would know about them if they crossed here?" Boomer asked.

He's right. Why would they do that? Usually, they kept their secrets to themselves and their symbols are usually hidden from any outsiders. However, they left this symbol uncovered for quite a long time. Did they not have time to cover it before they destroyed or is something else going on?

"Bark! Bark! Bark!"

"What is it, boy?" Jack asked.

We turned our heads to see that Hector was sniffing a huge rock nearby. Is there something behind that huge rock? When he went behind it to take a look, something hit him and caused him to flew back and land on the ground with his back sliding away from the rock.

"Hector!" Jack quickly ran towards him.

I nearly tensed as I felt a powerful vibe coming from behind that rock. The rock suddenly exploded and dust appeared in our vision. However, the dust cleared away and my brothers and I growled as we spotted a figure in a cloak with a familiar symbol on it.

"Voltiac," Brick replied with venom.

"Correct," the figure chuckled. "I've been watching you all from afar."

"What!?" I yelled in shock. If he was spying on us from a distance, how come we've never spotted him or sensed him!?

"But how!? We didn't sense anyone following us!" Boomer exclaimed in shock.

"My clan comes with a lot of surprises," the figure chuckled and looked at us with its face still being covered by the hood. "If none of you want to suffer a terrible fate, give me the golden prophecies and we could all leave in peace."

"You expect us to hand them over to you!?" Jack scoffed at him. "Oh please! We're not that scared of you!"

The figure turned to look at Jack and we realized that it was our cue to attack while Jack is distracting for us. We quickly ran with our super speed and summoned our elements to help us attack. Yeah, we have elements just like the girls: mine is earth, Brick's is fire, and Boomer can control both water and lightning. Yes, Boomer has two elements and he's really lucky while Brick and I only have one.

We had them appear in our hands and swiped at the figure but the figure dissolved into smoke and our attacks went through. They can actually do that!?

"Not bad but you're gonna have to do better than that," we heard it whisper in the air.

We heard the girls transform so we quickly kept our distance close to them so the figure wouldn't come near them. If they try to get my Kaoru-koi, I will murder them!

"Don't let your emotions take over."

Suddenly, the wind was literally knocked out of me as I felt something punch my stomach. I fell to my knees and clutched onto my stomach in pain while trying to regain my breath.

"Butch!" my brothers cried out.

"Come on out, you coward!" Buttercup yelled. "Are you too chicken to fight us in person!?"

"You're a feisty one, aren't you?" we heard the figure chuckle. "Lets see if you're strong enough to fight us."

Us!? He brought back up!? A mist suddenly formed around us and we couldn't see what was around us. I can hardly see Spicer and Hector but their silhouettes were there from the distance. I scanned my eyes around and used my ears to listen to anything that could come up. All I hear are the others breathing but I couldn't hear the breathing of the figures. I know they're hiding somewhere or invisible but its quite impossible to even find them since they're a bit tricky.

"Boom."

We quickly jumped away as something exploded in front of us. Another one came and we had to dodge it again. I don't know how many explosions they did but I was trying to make sure I keep my distance away so I won't blow up into smithereens. After the last explosion, I looked around to see if there are any more coming up. I silently cursed as I saw that I wasn't near the others now. Damn it, I should've kept on looking to see if I'm near them while dodging. They must've planned to separate us so they could attack us.

"Now that we're alone, lets begin."

I looked over and the mist formed into a shape that resembled to be a person. I growled and got into position as I prepared myself to attack. The mist vanished and it revealed to be another figure in the same cloak but this one looked taller and bigger. I noticed that it had a thin black beard from its chin so its obvious that the person I'm fighting here is a male.

"Give me your best shot," he smirked.

"Oh, I will!" I smirked back and ran at my super speed to attack him.

I brought my fist out and aimed for his gut but he blocked it with his own fist. I growled and spun around to do a roundhouse kick at him but he managed to block that as well. Even though his face is hidden, I can tell that he has a smug look on his face.

"Is that the best you can do?" he mocked in a deep tone. "I'll show you how to fight for real!"

Suddenly, the ground started to shake and I had to stand my ground to prevent myself from falling down. Something then appeared from the ground and my eyes nearly widened in shock when a bunch of rocks and dirt have risen from beneath the ground and they formed into a giant axe that fit onto his hand. I never knew that this could be one of his powers.

"This is my weapon, Iwa! If you don't want to die now, then I suggest you give up and hand over the golden prophecies," he replied.

"Thats never gonna happen!" I yelled and summoned my earth abilities to help me fight him.

"You are a fool in fighting me."

He lunged at me while swinging his axe and I formed a huge boulder and threw it at him but he managed to easily slice it through. I kept dodging his axe because when I felt it scratch me, it felt like nails slicing through my skin. I used my hand to get some rocks lifted onto them and have them formed into a huge fist made out of rocks. I cocked my fist back and smashed it against his axe that he used to block my attack.

The fight lasted for a while but I can tell that he's trying to win. I was breathing heavily with some cuts on my body and a bunch of bruises on me as well. Blood was trickling down from my mouth since he punched me and knocked out one of my teeth and I had some blood trickling down my left leg. I had to lean on my right leg only since its the only one not injured from the fight.

"Give it up! You can never defeat me!" he chuckled evilly at me.

"Never!" I shouted and launched another attack him.

But then, a huge explosion appeared and I heard a short scream. My eyes were wide as dinner plates and I quickly turned around and tried to run as fast as I could towards the scream.

"Buttercup!"

However, someone chopped the back of my neck and I fell to the ground. I tried to stay awake but the darkness was too much. Before I closed my eyes, I saw the silhouette figures of Buttercup and her friends unconscious and on the shoulders of the other Voltiacs.

Haru's p.o.v.

I gasped as I clutched onto my chest. I felt the air suddenly leaving my lungs and it was a bit hard for me to breathe. Did something happen to the boys and if so, are they still alright?

"Haru-kun, is everything okay?" Kazuo asked me with a hint of worry in his voice.

"He looks really pale. Breathe, Haru! You need to breathe!" Takao exclaimed.

"Something must be wrong. He must've felt something from one of his people," Gorou frowned.

I couldn't answer back to them and I suddenly fell from my chair and landed on the floor while clutching onto my chest and trying to get the air into my lungs. Lord Hashiji and the other clan leaders quickly got up and rushed over to me while calling for a doctor to come here as fast as they can.

"Haru, you must calm down! Everything is gonna be alright," the elder looked at me with a look filled with worry.

Suddenly, my eyes didn't see him anymore and I saw what looked like to be a vision of something. The boys were on the ground unconscious and there was a mist covering the area. The mist went away a bit and I saw some figures who had something over their shoulders. The vision became clearer and it showed some cloaked figures and they had the girls over their shoulders with necklaces around their necks with some familiar charms. It can't be. The girls are the ones!

I suddenly felt something put on my mouth and the vision faded away and I started to blink a few times to see that I was back in the council room with the leaders and a couple of doctors who were helping me breathe by giving me an oxygen mask that can give me oxygen from a tank. The pain in my chest was starting to fade away and my eyes were suddenly sleepy. However, I told some words to them that they should hear before I go unconscious.

"The Voltiacs have the next Goddesses of Light who found the golden prophecies," I whispered and let darkness consume me.
