Naoto's Secret Chapter 6

Naoto's pov
I didn't know how to confront Yu and his gang. After rise's sudden disappearance, she suddenly appeared a few days later at Junes. She claimed that she didn't know what happened but when she came to she was at Junes. Very similar to Amagi-san and Tastsumi-san's stories.
Junes. The name of the department store rang in my head several times. I hardly got any sleep after what I had seen in the electronics section. I thought of scenarios after scenarios of how one self can enter that shouldn't be even possible and Yu and his gang done just that. It completely escapes logic.
My heart felt like there was a hole in it. I have never once had any friends since I started my detective path, then Yu came in. he was my first ever friend/boyfriend. He was so understanding. He even saw threw my image when no one else how could he have used me like that?
I remembered our date. They had eaten at Aiyas. He even gave her a present. Detective Conan it was called. I had read the whole volume. It reminded me of myself. People treat me like a little kid like they do Conan. I hoped someday people will take me seriously.
I didn't think anything of it when Yu asked about the case before. I disclosed it as nothing but with rise it I knew that not to be true. Just thinking about everything together made my mind boggle.
I saw my grandfather walk in. "grandfather. What brings you here?" I asked
"To make sure you eat something Naoto. One of my specialty sandwiches and a glass of water." he set the tray of food on the table. "Naoto. You have me very worried. You barley left are library the last few days!
I sighed "I'm just thinking about the case more than ever grandfather." I took a sip of water out of the glass.
"I can see that. Please promise me you'll rest soon? I don't want my granddaughter collapsing from overwork." he said sternly.
"Alright, grandfather. I promise." Naoto complied.
Yu's pov
I was worried. The last couple of days I called Naoto I haven't heard from her. I must of did something wrong, but what I do not know. Things were just find between us days ago but after rise was rescued he couldn't reach her. Maybe she lost her cell phone? No that can't be otherwise, she would have let me know on the Shirogane main phone. Then I noticed my shoulders were being shaken by someone. "Huh?" I looked up to see Youske and behind him see everyone else looking concerned including are newest member on the team rise.
"Yo, partner! You were just off on la la land." Youske said. "What's on on your mind?" he inquired. How could I forget we were having a meeting about rise's kidnapping like we did for Yukiko and Kanji.
"Yeah. We've been trying to get your attention for like five minutes!" Chie blurted out. Oops... didn't mean to make them worry. I'm their leader for goodness sakes!
"I'm fine guys." I then sighed. "Solving a case isn't easy by far means. It's to complicate." I was secretly referring to Naoto because before I knew exactly what was wrong I would treat it as a case in progress. "Rise if you would continue." I brought us back to the main topic at hand here.
"I had heard commotion outside my grandma's tofu shop..." she stopped for a second as she tried to remember what happened after." I went outside to see what the racket was but then everything went black." she had her head down and seemed to be guilty of not being much of a help.
"It's alright Rise-chan. it's hard to remember stuff like that. Even Kanji-kun and Yukiko couldn't remember hardly anything." I reassured her.
"Man, that perv was the perfect distraction for the killer to sweep in and kidnap Rise-Chan! It makes my blood boil that we intentionally helped that bastard!" Kanji raged out.
"I feel the same way." I agreed with him.
Tomorrow I was going to confront Naoto to find out why she was avoiding him.
