Naoto's Secret chapter 7
Yu pov
"Going somewhere today big bro?"Said a cheerful voice.
"Yeah I am. Will you be here okay by yourself Nanako?" I checked with my adorable little cousin.
"Yes I'll be fine. Have fun okay." I smiled at her. I don't know how she does it but if you're feeling a bit down she'll be able to cheer you up no problem.
"Bye Nanako." I said good bye and I was off to Naoto's to find out what the problem was.
Sometime later at the Shirogane residence
This is it. Time to figure out what I did wrong. After going over it in my mind all last night I still didn't know what could be bothering her. I walled up in front of the door and rang the door bell. After a good few moments again I was in face to face with Naoto's grandfather.
"Ah, Narukami kun. I take it you have some business with my dear grandfather?" he guessed correctly.
"Yes. Shirogane san, if it's no trouble I'd like to speak with her. She hasn't gotten back to me so I got a bit worried if something was wrong."
"Of course. Naoto could use a distraction from the murder case. I'm afraid she's been working herself ragged for the past few days. You may be what she needs Narukami kun. Wait in the living room while I go get her." I followed him inside and he looked at me one last time before he headed upstairs for Naoto. I waited until she came down stairs.
"Yu... w-why are you here?" she managed to get out. She looked hurt and tired. Seeing that made my heart clench.
"You haven't answered any of my calls or texts so I got worried I might have done something to upset you Naoto. So I thought I would see what's bothering you personally." the look she was giving me was a look she haven't given me before. So I guess it does have to do with something with me.
"I knew you'd come here." she said so quiet I barley even heard her. She put a hand to her head like she had a headache and sighed.
"What exactly did I do Naoto? Whatever it may be I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. This has been on my mind for a while now, so please tell me what so I can help fix It." it was the truth; I wanted us to golden again. I cared for her and nothing will ever change that fact. I hoped she would tell me what was on her mind and didn't just shut me out.
"Tell me this Yu. Did you use me?" I was shocked to hear this. Use her? I didn't use her. What is she talking about?
"Are you mad about me forcing you to be my boyfriend? Why didn't you say so? I don't care about that anymore; I'm not forcing you to do anything you don't want too. All this is real to me now. I really care for you." this was best guessed at what she was talking about.
"No I wasn't. I'm talking about the murder case. Did you get close to me to find out more about it? Don't deny that you rant even involved in the case!" she thinks I'm using her like that? And she is right about me being involved but that because the gang and I have the power to help where normal people can't.
"Yes I'm involved but I'm not using you. I'm helping save lives." how in the world would I convince her I'm not using her?
"Saving lives? You must be talking about Amagi san, Tatsumi san and Kujijawa san." she concluded. "They all disappeared for a time and reappeared waking up at Junes claiming they had no memory of what happened. But of course that is untrue." they don't call her prince detective for nothing. "Why would they all hide critical information from the police? Because you all ate hiding something. Something they wouldn't believe even if they did. Sweat trailed down my brow. Did she know?
"Naoto?" I held my breath.
"I know you guys can go in TVs, I seen it myself. I just don't know how you guys can." she seen us head into the TV? But we were so careful. "can you care to explain that?" no point to beat around the bush when she already saw us enter the TV. I decided that it's best to tell her the truth and go from there.
"We rescue people who get thrown into the TV. It's not like the police can do that, so we do it instead otherwise there would of been three more dead bodies." it made me shudder at the thought of what would happen to my friends if we hadn't saved them.
"Thrown in?"
"Yeah, someone's been throwing them in and letting that TV world do the killing for them. Perfect crime and perfect alibi. But they didn't account that we would be solving it. there's dangerous creatures in there and we use the power of are persona to defeat them." she seemed confused at my last sentence." persona is the reason we can enter the TV, it's sort of like are inner strength. Shadows they look like they could be in an RPG game, you kind of have to see them yourself.
"If I hadn't seen what I already have I wouldn't believe it at all. This may be difficult to near impossible to solve this case being that it involves another world. Everyone would either think the culprit is messing with them or is insane. The evidence would not be nearly enough to keep them locked up." she stated grimly.
"Your right. But it doesn't mean we can't help stop the culprit or save whoever the next victim may be. I'm sorry that you had to find out this way but like you said you wouldn't believe it. Now that you know would you help me and the investigation teams solve this case? We could use someone smart as you." I grabbed a hold of her hands and looked into her eyes hoping shed say yes.
"I- very well. I do want this case solved and I doubt I would be able to if I don't corporate with you guys." she said while blushing beet red.
"I'm glad you're onboard Naoto. Together we'll solve this case." I bent down a gave her a peck on the lips. How I missed doing that the last couple of days. Right now she looked embarrassed but I think she looks adorable. I don't know what the future will hold but I'm happy that Naoto will be with me.
A/n: well this is end I know some of you are going to be disappointed that it's not any longer but after two years and not having the sources to write. Plus I want to start writing other stuff too. Thanks to everyone who favored, reviewed and followed.
