Whoo! Chapter 6! longest I've ever gone with a fic! (Well, one that I was planning on actually keeping -sweatdrop-) Thank you to the people who have reviewed this story! Actually tells me I'm better at writing than I think. (Low self-esteem if you can't tell. -)

Last chapter, we had a fight scene, crappy one at that, and some mysterious happenings! Am I actually good at this mystery thing? Love it to death, can't tell if I'm any good since I know what's gonna happen.

Whelp! In this chapter we may find some answers as to how to help Danny! Yays! Don't actually like being mean to him.

Danny: Then why?

Can't have a good story without a little drama right?

Danny: I hate you.

Love you too~! 3

If you recognize it, it doesn't belong to me!

Bummer

(And before you ask, there is no OcxCanonCharacter pairings! Maybe OcxOC but nothing like that!)

She wanted to be with him. She really did, but if that happened than they may never find out the reason for Danny's sudden lack of powers. They wanted answers, sure, but how were you supposed to find the purpose of an illness for a being who logically cannot exist?

Sam sighed, all these thoughts were making her head hurt. All they knew for sure was there was a female involved, if the voices Danny heard were anything to go by. Was this female trying to hurt Danny? If that was the reason, she was doing a damn good job. Sam couldn't help but mutter angry curses for the object of Danny's suffering. Once she got her hands on her she would...

Well, maybe Sam would have time to finish that thought if she didn't crash into someone. Damn, curse her for her lack of attentiveness!

The two collided, in what some might call a 'meeting of fate' or some romantic novel crap like that, well, would have some merit to being romantic if the other person was of the opposite gender. But no.

Sam gently touched her forehead, one massive headache on the way, before actually taking a moment to examine the other.

It was other female, with long greyish hair in an interesting fashion, two balls of hair were tied on each side of her head, each with a long trail of braided hair tied with a black ribbon. She wore a long black dress with a collar, like ones you see on dress shirts, tie included, only hers was white. A single black ribbon encircled her left hand, completed with a bow. The same black ribbon was tied around her legs ending in brown sandals. She was interesting to say the least. Be it her unusual hair color or the fact her eyes were a pure white color. (1)

"Ow ow ow.." She muttered, her voice soft with a certain jingle to it. "That hurt."

"You alright?" Sam asked. She did crash into her, might as well see if she was hurt or not.

The other took one look at her before shooting upward that might otherwise be impossible, muttering apologizes by the mile. "Oh God, I'm so sorry! You're not hurt are you? Wahh! I didn't mean to run into you, you see, I was just thinking about getting some ingredients for dinner and whatnot! I'm so sorry!"

Each word came out faster than the other before she bursted into tears, sobbing more sentences even faster. "Wahh! You hate me don't you, first person I see just as we move in and I knock you into the ground, I don't blame you for hating me, I wasn't paying attention! Ahhh! I'm sorry I ruined your day!"

Sam couldn't help but sweatdrop as the girl went on and on, muttering more apologizes than what was necessary.

'Oh God,' Sam thought, 'I better stop her before she gets hysterical.'

"H-hey" Sam mentally slapped herself for stuttering. "It's perfectly okay. You didn't ruin anything."

The girl stopped sobbing to look her in the face. With her childish face and little orbs of tears in her eyes, she looked very adorable, in an innocent and naïve kiddish way.

"R-really?" Her voice cracked from her earlier sobbing, hopefulness glowing in her eyes.

"Y-yeah." Something about this girl really set her on edge. Maybe is was the fact she looked too innocent.

She sighed and smiled, "well good. I'm really sorry about that. My sister says I get a little bit too emotional over the littlest of things, but I can't help it!"

Sam sighed herself, well better get going, had to start the search somewhere, right?

She didn't see the other blink in confusion and frown, but stopped dead in her tracks when the other spoke.

"You have a friend with an unusual illness, correct?"

The Goth froze in her tracks, turning around to face the girl who had her head tilted slightly to the left.

"H-how did you-"

She smiled, "I can see it in your eyes. Something is wrong with your friend, but you don't know what and you don't know how to help, am I right?" Sam was speechless for a moment, too shocked to think of a comeback.

"Alaula."

"What?"

The grey-haired girl giggled, "That's my name silly!" She grinned, "I could help you know?"

There was defiantly something off with this girl, the way she speaks, her overall aura and her seemingly innocent smile, like someone whose never seen the horrors the world has to offer. Someone whose only seem the good in the world.

To Sam that was odd, in a kind of creepy way, but not necessary threatening. Sam narrowed her eyes, "And why do you want to help me, a complete stranger?" she questioned, a slightly threatening tone in her voice. This Alaula could very well be the femalecausing Danny all his problems.

Alaula giggled, stating her answer as if it were obvious, "It's my job! You see," At this she brought up her right hand, pointing with her forefinger upwards towards the sky. In the fashion she was saying something of interest, "My job entails granting people's wishes!"

The pain was increasing to a point where it hurt to breath, smoke and fire encasing his lungs. His skin felt awfully warm, an actual normal, human temperature. Well, to any other person that would be perfectly normal, however to him, a half-ghost with an ice core, he practically felt like someone had dumped a bucket of lava on him. That's how hot it was!

He could see his friend Tucker off farther in his room, scanning through various files or whatever data he keeps on his P.D.A. Tucker would occasionally glance over at him, but with his ragged breath and burly vision, Danny didn't notice.

"Eh? So this is the famous Danny Phantom? Not much too ya kid."

Tucker bolted upright at the arrival of the voice, as did Danny, to the best of his ability. Lounging on his window sill was a girl with long blonde hair capped with a strange pilots hat, the one with goggles.(2) She had on a white shirt where the collar drooped down over her shoulders and you could see the straps off her black undershirt. Her shorts were just shy of being halfway down her thigh with little skin between that and the long striped socks she wore, which then went their way into ankle-high combat boots.

Tucker glared at her, "Who are you?!"

The girl raised her eyebrow in a bored fashion, and responded in an equally bored tone of voice, "Zelda Ichihara, wish granting witch at your service!"

Before either boys could retort to the girl's rather questionable answer, 'Zelda' leaped up from her spot on the window, landing just above Danny's bed, staring at him with her indifferent expression.

"Hmmmm," She said, "I gotta say, worse case of in-heritage I've ever seen."

"What!"

She ignored Tucker, going back through the window, "Gonna need a payment if you want any help, Phantom."

The two looked indifferent, but were mentally in horror. How did she know? Was it that obvious?

She grinned at their reactions, "Not gonna tell you?" She said in a sing-song voice, before jumping out the window and vanishing completely.

Both boys stared. "Uh," Tucker began, "What the hell was that?"

"Don't know."

The girl from before, Zelda, was crackling loudly. Her laughing at a slight wicked tone to it that made everyone stop and stare at her. How could such an evil voice come from such a pretty thing?

She was grinning evilly, thinking over her encounter with the ghost boy. He wasn't what she expected but that was alright, maybe? But damn! He had the worse case of that particular occurrence she had ever seen! They might need some help with this.

Someone knocked into her, not enough to send her flying onto the ground or anything, just a simple bump. It was a girl with long, black hair with dull purple eyes. Zelda frowned, that couldn't be...

Why was she doing this? Leading a stranger who she just met, to see Danny. While she may have been abit creepy in a way, there was just this feeling that perhaps she could help. Ugh, it annoyed the hell out of her that she couldn't figure out why!

Regardless, the two teens bounded up the steps to the Fenton home, only stopping to knock on the door to await entry. Sam glanced back at Alaula, a wish granter? Please, that's just what they need, another Desiree.

Alaula caught Sam's eye, and, seemingly knowing just what she was thinking, answered in a meek voice, "My powers are a matter of balance, meaning I can't grant a wish if the payment is too high or too low. Something awful would happen to either side if I did."

Sam nodded in approval. Hey she didn't go around randomly granting wishes and that was okay in her book. Maddie, Danny's mother, appeared at the door, tired from something.

"Oh hello Sam. Come to see Danny?" She asked, to which said girl nodded. The older woman's gaze turned to Alaula, "Whose this?"

Alaula gave a small bow, "My name is Alaula, Ma'am. It's a pleasure to meet you."

"Polite little thing aren't you?" She smiled.

"Yes, Ma'am."

"Well, don't let me keep you from seeing Danny. Go on you two." Maddie said, moving out of the way and venturing back into the lab in the basement. Alaula frowned, "Is she alright?"

Sam sighed, "Not since Danny got sick, but she's doing everything she can to help."

The rest of the way was silent, wanting to hurry up and get the problem dealt with. Entering the room, the two find Tucker leaning out the window, Danny probably would be too if he wasn't ill.

"Tuck. What are you doing?"

Tucker jumped, stumbling some excuse about some random girl or some crap like that.

"So you're Danny?"

Danny stared briefly at the grey-haired girl.

"Whose she?" Came Tucker's question.

"Someone who can help."

Said girl had placed her hand over Danny's forehead, frowning and muttering inconsistent ramblings. Sam and Tucker watched her work, observing everything she did just in case of some hidden motive. When she ceased examine the problem, Alaula turned to the halfa's friends.

"Well?" Came Sam and Tucker's demanding voices.

'Such nice friends.' Alaula thought with a smile, "Yes, I know, however..."

She trailed off, not sure how to explain to them without any anger on there part. However, she didn't need too, after all, Sam was the smartest out the three, and having just discussed the very subject on the way, she knew exactly why the other girl trailed off.

"You'll need payment for the information right?"

Tucker's response was just as predicted, in fury that someone would demand payment while he's friend was in a great deal of pain.

"Why the hell-"

"Eek!" Alaula squeaked.

'Oh God here we go again.' Sam thought.

"I'm terribly sorry, it's not that I don't want to help your friend it's just I can't tell or give any kind of service for free, it'll just end badly for the both of us and I really don't want to hurt anyone so please don't be angry at me!" She wailed, crying with her head in her hands. Despite having already experiencing it, it still amazed Sam how fast the girl could talk, while it spooked Tucker, having just made a pretty girl cry and in shock at her speed of speech.

Sam sighed, "Yes yes we understand." She said, interrupting Tucker's ravage rants for which he glared at her for giving in, "What's the price?"

Alaula turned thoughtful for a moment, thinking over her price, "Ummm, do you have anything he's made with his ghost powers? Any ice sculptures or anything like that? If you want information about this condition, than something he's created using his original power should suffice."

Sam's eye twitched, of all the things she could have asked for! But...It did make sense...Damnit...

"Can I give it to you later?" What? It's not like she packed that thing around everywhere with her? And now that she had a chance to learn about Danny's problem, a single ice crystal was the least she could give up for it.

Alaula nodded, "Yes that is alright. Now, your friend Danny has what me and my sister call Reverse Syndrome."

"Reverse Syndrome?"

The witch sighed, "Yep, however knowing what it is, is the least of our problems now."

Oh boy, the two shared a nervous glance, wasn't knowing the first step to cure it?

"Reverse Syndrome...Is when a mage, or in this case a ghost, has a "Ghostly Core" completely opposite, or close to it, injected into the body. The original core has no idea what to do and begins attacking the invading core, leading to some shortage in power. You can cure this by finding the original ghost the core belongs to and transferring it into them..."

That was it? Didn't sound all that bad... However, things just got worse, as the young witch turned in silent pity. What she said next froze the blood in their veins and gap in absolute horror.

"If," She began, "If you don't hurry and transfer the core soon, the two cores will wage war on each other until the other is destroyed, but now that both have connected to Danny, the destruction of either will cause an imbalance in his soul, which will inevitably destroy him."

Dull, purple eyes watching in mid interest as the scientist circled around her, in childish glee.

He smiled, a once rare feature to see on his face, a real smile and said," It's time to begin, Eh?"

...Wow, longest chapter ever! (At least I think it is -sweatdrop-) Sorry if this seems a bit rushed, almost midnight and I wanna get this done and uploaded! So we inserted some new characters, (They seem to be all female I notice.-sweatdrop- Didn't mean to make it like that. oh well) Alaula was fun to write, though I'm starting to think Sam and Tucker are getting out of character... Geese how long has it been since I've seen a Danny Phantom episode? A year? I really have no experience to write this...

How did it turn out? Finally figured out what's wrong with him, oh noes! And some scientist is in the position to begin something. IS it good? Or Bad? Well, you're gonna have to wait for it. XD

Please leave a review on your thoughts on the story and any of the Ocs in here! Thanks a bunch!
