Because I Was Bored Chapter 1 Part 5
Kagome watched with curiosity the faces of her new companions as the familiar blue light engulfed her body. Yusuke had his usual cocky smile plastered across his face the promise of a new adventure making him giddy inside. Hiei's face was stoic as always, Kuwabara to Kagome's delight was screaming she laughed her worried spirit gaining a boost of hope. 'Maybe we will be ok.' She thought as they landed softly on the other side, her other home.
"Wait, this doesn't look any different. Are you sure we made it?" Kuwabara was looking at the walls of the well his orange eyebrows knitted in confusion. Hiei scoffed at the large man and in a flash had jumped out of the well.
"Look up stupid," Yusuke pointed to the blue sky above them rolling his chocolate brown eyes his arm wrapped around his cousin and with her in tow followed Hiei out of the well. Kagome and Yusuke laughed when they heard Kuwabara yelling at them to not leave him behind. Almost as soon as her feet touched the ground gold eyes were watching the miko his curiosity piqued even more by the new people. The smallest demon of the group swiveled on his heels to look at the tree the fox hid in his red eyes narrowing not looking away from the fox though he felt the mask of his presence. Yoko watched with equally narrowed eyes wondering how the hybrid could keep eyes on him.
'Curious I've never known of an ice maiden to mate with a man,' Yoko could smell the scent of fire and ice on the small demon. Carefully the fox sized up the miko's new companions, feeling no ill intent he made his way slowly behind the raven haired beauty he had found himself fixated on. Noticing the one with spikey black hair did nothing to stop him Yoko smirked. Kagome squeaked as the strong arms wrapped around her slender waist, she was pulled against a strong chest and the smell of roses filled her nose making her body relax against the warning bells ringing in her mind.
"Hey you fuck let go of my-" Yusuke was yelling then suddenly he stopped recognition in his eyes.
"My what?" Yoko purred his warm breath against her ear made Kagome shiver with pleasure she had not felt yet in her teenage life.
"I don't care who you'll be get your hands off my cousin!" Yusuke growled his voice low enough Kagome could make out no words, the fox however felt his curiosity deepen yet again at his choice of words.
"Dear miko will you ever cease to keep my interest?" She moaned in response when his mouth closed around her earlobe fangs teasing the tender flesh. Yusuke stepped forward rolling his sleeves to his elbows ready to fight when a shout came from behind them.
"What the fuck is going on Kagome?" Inuyasha came barreling through the clearing his clawed hand resting on his seeming tattered sword. "Goddamn fox get out of here and leave her alone she wants nothing to do with you! And who the hell are these people?" The half demon stopped taking in the scene playing out in the clearing. Other than the fox he could smell three new scents though he saw only two new people, a yell from the bottom of the bone eaters well filled in his last blank.
"Inuyasha this is my cousin Yusuke," Kagome tried to step from the arms of the fox to introduce her new companions but toned muscles tightened around her thin frame. She sighed pulling again but when the fox refused to loosen his grip she gave in an exasperated sigh escaping her throat. She couldn't deny the way her body was so aware of his, where the skin of her arms met his felt like an electric shock were running through her. She'd admit she felt these same things with Inuyasha but her broken heart made the memories bitter. "The short quiet one over there is Hiei and the human who is shouting from the bottom of the well is called Kuwabara. You really should help him out Yusuke." Her cousin laughed and walked to the well, the commotion continued behind her as Kuwabara hollered back to his friend teasing him about having chicken legs.
"I do not!" Looking around the bicep of the fox she saw the top poof of the man's orange hair as he dragged himself over the lip of the old wood.
"Well he's got a never die spirit that'll come in handy." Yoko's ears twitched at the sound of Kagome's voice though he felt a growl rise in his chest when he figured out her statement was about another male. Turning to look at the man she mentioned he couldn't stop himself from laughing, the man was for lack of a better term a brute. 'Well I've got nothing to worry about there, obviously she's attracted to beauty. The mutt isn't exactly the most amazing specimen but he is attractive in his own way. The dark haired boy is her cousin and from her smell the most she feels towards him at the moment is annoyance. Now the little one,' Yoko's eyes widened when his gold irises met red.
"Why you little, you can read minds can't you?" Removing his arms from the miko he addressed the hybrid his fangs bared. "I would advise you never do that again."
"Be calm Kurama, I have no argument with you or what you do with the human female." He nodded his head gesturing to Kagome his nose wrinkled slightly in an emotion close to disgust.
"Have we met?" Leaning down he locked eyes with the little demon trying very hard to put any of the puzzle pieces together.
"For the first time for you just now, yes." With that the hybrid walked away leaving the fox even more confused.
"Will you and your companions never give my mind a moments rest miko?" Seeing he would get no more out of the angry one Yoko moved back to the object of his desire resting his arms on her shoulders and bending his head to lay next to her ear. "You are so very intriguing little miko," He whispered as they watched the half demon grapple with the young spirit detective.
"My goodness it's like having two of him," Kagome grumbled watching Yusuke flick Inuyasha in the ear a familiar dog related insult leaving her cousin's mouth.
"Two of whom?"
"Koga." Kagome replied to the fox automatically his silver brows rose in response.
"Exactly how many males attention have you captured little vixen?" She surprised him yet again when she raised a hand counting the names she mumbled to herself.
"Well let's see counting you…Yoko, Inuyasha…sort of, Koga, Hojo, would Shuichi count something about him is familiar and the way he wrapped his arm around my shoulders that was more than leading me somewhere." She held up a hand to his face all five fingers displayed. "About five though some of them I'm not too sure about." Yoko growled in his throat nipping at her index finger drawing a small bead of blood which he greedily licked away nearly moaning at the sweet taste.
"You are too attractive for your own good little miko." She could hear the annoyance in his voice as he grumbled against her neck. He calmed after a deep breath of her scent she shivered as he pressed his broad chest against her back a content sigh sounding in her ear. A rumble in his chest reminded Kagome of the calico cat she had at home and the purr he gave in times of happiness. With Yoko's purr blocking out all other noise she watched the fight play out like a silent film. After a missed punch on Inuyasha's part Kuwabara joined the fight between the half demon and spirit detective even the little hybrid seemed to be distracted realizing there had never been a third member to the brawls between the two friends. Yoko smirked taking the chance Inuyasha hadn't known he'd given and threw Kagome over his shoulder taking off into the forest.
