Because I Was Bored Chapter Two

Kagome's cheeks turned red for the millionth time that week as she thought back to the happenings of the week prior. The four men had come running to what they thought was her aid but what they saw and what three of them smelled had them looking at the poor miko in shock. Hiei she noticed at the time had merely smirked the first to catch that she had been willing.

"I'll hunt down that fucking fox and skin him!" Inuyasha screamed the rage that had been quieted with worry for the miko blared again burning hotter than ever.

"I agree with you there dog breath!" Yusuke cracked his knuckles. "How dare he touch my cousin that fox bastard!" The two growled in unison sounding almost identical.

"Sit boy." Inuyasha slammed into the ground and whimpered Yusuke looked in horror as Kagome began walking his way. With no hesitation she hit the spirit detective on the back of the head as hard as she could. "I may not be able to sit you but you cannot tell me what to do Yusuke and I can defend my own honor thank you very much!" She stomped off mumbling to herself about stupid boys.

"I have no idea what's going on…" Kuwabara spoke, his voice breaking the silence.

"That's because you are an idiot." Hiei scoffed and followed the path the young miko had taken. Kagome glared at the forest daring for a demon to attack her though she did not usually enjoy fighting today she would put her morals aside to sooth her boiling blood. She sensed the small demon before she heard his cape billowing behind him as he jumped from tree to tree.

"I swear to every god out there Hiei if you get into my mind today I will purify you so fast…" She let the empty threat hang in the air silently allowing the hybrid to follow.

"You do know he cares for you, though I cannot tell you why." Hiei jumped from the tree closest to the miko and continued his walk beside her his eyes shifting over the shadows in the forest always on his guard. Kagome sighed running a hand through her raven blue hair, suddenly very tired she still couldn't help the sweet smile that spread across her lips. "Hn." Hiei replied with a nod and in silence they continued their walk back to the village. After she awkwardly introduced her friends to their new companions she rolled out her sleeping bag and ignoring the desperate pleadings of her adopted son to explain the smell of fox on her she slept.

She sighed as her mind was brought back to the present when Inuyasha walked by in a huff. She rolled her eyes wishing for a distraction. 'Please god, a demon, bandits, Naraku, hell I'd even take...' Suddenly the group watched as Kagome dropped her pink bike by her side and ran forward a smile on her face.

"Kagome!" The yell came from what seemed to be a miniature tornado Inuyasha growled the familiar scent filling his nose. Yusuke and Kuwabara looked to the demon hunter, monk, and little kit in question when they sighed their shoulders drooping.

"Koga is coming, I think you guys will like him! He's allot nicer than Inuyasha but they don't get along because Koga keeps insisting that Kagome is his woman and Inuyasha won't just admit he's guilty." The little kit Kagome had fondly referred to as Shippo jumped from the now transformed cat demon Kirara to Yusuke's shoulder. When Inuyasha ran at the kit to hit him in the head as he always did he met with Yusuke's fist and fell to the ground holding his nose in pain.

"Jeeze Shippo how many guys does my cousin have runnin' after her?" Shippo looked to the sky mumbling to himself as he counted on his little clawed hand.

"By my count there are three but mama won't tell me what happened with the fox I smelled on her so maybe four." He giggled his young mind filled with the prospect of having a full family again.

"Here's a little secret for you, the fox's name is Yoko Kurama."

"The legendary bandit!" Shippo whispered his quiet voice squeaking with the strain of keeping quiet.

"The very same!" Yusuke replied a wide grin plastered on his face. As the kit and detective chattered excitedly they didn't notice the small tornado disappearing to reveal a demon with long black hair pulled into a pony tail atop his head. He wore armor of brown fur his sharp blue eyes scanned the group noticing the new faces then his wide eyes landed on Kagome.

"Hide me…" He squeaked grabbing the miko by the shoulders his chest heaving as he tried to replace his lost oxygen.

"Koga what on earth is going on?" Before he could answer a voice called from a short distance down the road.

"Kogaaaaaa!" Kagome's first thought was the wolf princess Ayame but the voice was deeper than the girl she knew with red hair.

"Please, please, Kagome you have to hide me. I'll even wear the damn mutt's clothes to hide my scent." The wolf prince danced on his toes his urgency obvious.

"What's got you so worked up wolf cub?" Inuyasha grumbled his hands hidden in the red sleeves of his hakama, he had no love for the wolf but seeing him so worked up made him nervous.

"Shut up dog breath I can't be caught and I'm running out of time!" Footsteps could be heard from the hill just beyond their position. "Oh god no she's gonna catch me!" Scanning the group Koga picked out the biggest of them and quickly moved to hide. "Don't say a word human." The large man nodded his orange hair bouncing with the movement. Inuyasha moved to the front of the group drawing his sword with a golden light the sword transformed to be almost the size of its half demon owner. In the suspense Kagome wondered if her cousin would be able to wield tetsusaiga his mother nor father were demon but she heard from his friends that spectacularly he had transformed into a demon version of himself with long black hair and black markings on his chest. He wasn't exactly half demon but he wasn't exactly human either. Kagome's musings came to an end when another wolf demon came over the ridge her long auburn hair blowing behind her. She wore the same armor Koga had though the fur was a dark brownish red. To Inuyasha it looked almost like it was stained with blood. She walked closer to the group and as she came closer to view the sun shone off her pale skin, even Yusuke and Shippo had ceased talking. She was covered in scars from her face to her legs there was hardly a spot untouched by damage.

"Stop right there wolf, what do you want?" In answer she darted forward and growled in Inuyasha's face her snarl making him step back unintentionally.

"No wolf, no dog, no man tells me what to do." She growled again her muscles tightening at the sight of his sword. "I suggest you put that away before you chop off a piece you might be needing later." Her eyes moved to a specific appendage she knew hung between his legs under the red apparel. At the wolf's reply to the half demon Yusuke couldn't contain his laughter drawing the dark eyes of the new wolf. She walked to him sniffing the air a few inches from his grinning face. "It was pretty funny huh?" She whispered winking at the small kit on the man's shoulder making him grin his little fangs poking over his bottom lip.

"I'll ask one more time wolf, what do you want?" Inuyasha asked placing himself between the new wolf and the spirit detective. The group blinked in shared confusion when she laughed in reply.

"Alright KoKo I think it's time to end out little game. Inuyasha here is getting a bit twitchy and I don't want to have to hurt him." For a second time she made the white haired half demon take a step back when she bit the air in front of his face. "Plus I know you're hiding behind the cute one." She winked at Kuwabara who looked behind him for the so called cute one. When he looked back she was in front of him, she looked up into his eyes her nose came only to the middle of his chest. Her eyes seemed to sparkle when Kuwabara caught her large eyes with his small ones making the man blush.

"Come on Jeido that's no fun!" Koga whined walking from behind the man his shoulders slumped.

"You know you can't beat my sniffer KoKo, you were doomed from the fuckin' start!" She laughed tapping her small nose with her clawed finger.

"Come on stop calling me that you know I hate it. Makes my fur crawl." He shivered his tail bristling.

"And that little brother, is why I do it." She laughed jumping on the wolf prince burring her knuckles in his head.

"Wait…little brother. What the fuck is going on here?" The siblings paused looking at the half demon, Jeido had her legs wrapped around Koga's waist one of her arms wrapped around his throat the other pulling on his jet black hair.

"The fuck does it look like mutt I'm kicking KoKo's ass!" Inuyasha sheathed his sword as he put it away it returned to the battered appearance it had before.

"Ohhh I think you're pissing the mutt off JeiJei!" Koga laughed his arms moving under his sister's knees to support her weight on his back.

"He can piss all he wants won't bother me one fuckin' bit I suggest you do it in the trees though away from us ladies, otherwise that'd be rude. No one needs to see that." She gestured again to his crotch making the half demon shuffle his feet uncomfortable Jeido laughed climbing from her brothers back to stand next to him. "Well that's enough rough housing for the next few hours, why don't you and your friends follow me back to my pack Koga. We'll feed em and let em bathe if they want. We've got a wonderful natural hot spring in the middle of the den. Seems like you've been traveling a while and could use some good food at least!" At the mention of a bath Kagome sprang back to life the shock of the situation moving as far to the back of her mind as it could.

"That sounds like the most amazing thing in the world." Jeido was next to Kagome before she could blink her blue eyes.

"You must be Kagome, you and yours sister are welcome at my den anytime. Because without you I never would have seen KoKo again, for that I must give you my most sincere thanks." With that Jeido bowed at her waist her dark eyes closed tears threatening to fall.
