Because I Was Bored Chapter Three Part Two

They talked and laughed for hours about their different adventures her about the shards and him about his greatest thefts. She smiled embarrassed when he told her she was the first to distract him from a mark and that she smelled of lilies. He explained his control of plants even showing her his famous rose whip. Kagome told him of her lacking skill with the bow and how she met Inuyahsa. She laughed pointing out he made the same upset face whenever the half demon was brought up in their conversation.

"Well he's a bastard that's why." He complained. "If you were mine I would…well I would have killed the bitch." Speaking of Kikyo he looked away his eyes filled with rage. He turned back when the girl giggled.

"Well I guess it's easy to say such a thing when you are outside of the situation." He scoffed in reply. "Believe me I've been faced with the chance to kill her but I couldn't because Inuyasha cares so much for her." The sad look in her eyes made his blood boil in anger, the bellow from outside nearly sending him into a rage.

"Kagome!" the miko groaned in that moment wishing he would go visit Kikyo the thought stunned her. Really looking at the fox demon she tried to figure out exactly what drew her to him. He was much taller than she his large ears adding to the height. They were a soft silver color the same as his hair and tail, she squelched the urge to touch them again. His white clothing reached just above his ankles covering most of his flesh. Only his arms remained barren of clothing reveling well-toned muscles. He was beautiful even by demon standards, sure Inuyasha had his boyish charms but Yoko was a god. She shivered with need, making the fox smirk at the cave opening just as the half dog demon entered.

"Hello Inuyasha." Yoko purred locking eyes with Inuyasha who snarled. "What brings you here?" The innocence in his voice served to only anger the half demon more.

"Shut up fox. Come on wench we have to go." Kagome rolled her eyes and crossed her arms her nose stuck in the air. "Shippo has been hurt." The horror and fear in her scent and the speed she ran to the half demon had Yoko following silently. "You can stay here fox." Inuyasha spat over his shoulder pulling Kagome along by the wrist.

"What happened to Shippo?" Quietly he pulled her along his face full of anger. "Inuyasha what happened to Shippo!" She yanked her arm away his claws scraping her wrist, Yoko was next to her in an instant her wrist held tenderly in his hands. Her anger was so great she hardly noticed when his tongue made contact with the fresh wounds.

"He was attacked at the wolf den by one of those alligator creatures." He spoke quietly shame in his voice.

"How did it happen?" Her body shaking she took a step forward purple aura spilled from her causing both demons to take a step back. "Why wasn't he in the den with the other children?" She asked her voice low, dark eyes watched Inuyasha as he took another step back. Following an instinct deep within her she took a step forward, he shuttered at the predatory gleam in her eye.

"Kagome, calm down." He begged his hands in front of his chest showing the girl he had no weapons.

"Do not tell me to calm down Inuyasha. How. Did. It. Happen?" She enunciated each word with a step forward.

"H-he was trying to protect a wolf with an injured back, the wolf survived but in the attack Shippo was caught in the attacker's jaws."

"Why was he not with the pups?" She knew the answer already but she needed to hear it from him.

"He…he heard you scream and came running. Stupid Kit should have stayed where he was." Kagome's hair began to float her eyes were bright purple.

"You are the reason my son was left alone and vulnerable!" Kagome shot forward the aura around her body moving to surround her hand. She was stopped inches from the half demon's face, a yell of pain brought her back to her senses.

"Be calm darling, I would really rather not turn to dust today." Yoko whispered in the miko's ear then moved to rub his nose against the back of her neck. The scent of lavender filled washed over her and her body slumped against him. "Come Inuyasha, lead me to the kit and do not argue. I do not believe the miko is in the mood." Inuyasha watched slack jawed as the fox walked away Kagome held tightly against his chest. Silently he led the demon through the forest to the wolves den.

"He's inside with everyone else." Inuyasha motioned halfheartedly at the mouth of the den sending Yoko away without a second glance.

"Yoko you old fox!" The voice sounded familiar making his ears twitch. "Down the hall and bring the girl. I can smell your flowers ya pansy!" With a chuckle he continued into the den.

"It's been many years, Jeido. You look like hell." He laughed at the glare he got from the wolf as he entered the room. He saw her with a young kit lying in her lap as she rested against the chest of an orange haired man. "What happened here?"

"It smells girly, I don't like it…" The man behind Jeido complained in his sleep making the wolf giggle.

"You're fine dear it's just Yoko." She reached an arm behind herself to pat him on the cheek, again his snores filled the room.

"May I look at the kits injuries?" He stepped forward placing the girl on some hey between the female demon slayer and the hybrid. "Look after her." Hiei nodded leaning the girl against the wall, her chin hit her chest as her head nodded forward. Yoko chuckled at the uncomfortable look the hybrid thought no one could see as he pushed her head back up a few times before giving up with a huff.

"He's out cold so just be careful, he finally got to sleep after all night in pain. He was calling for his mommy in his sleep, he finally stopped when I pulled him into my lap." The wolf princess smiled petting the kits head lovingly.

"The bandits miss you by the way." He mentioned in passing as he knelt by her examining the kits wounds. His arm had two large tooth marks surrounded by green goo. "Poison." He stated simply and reached into his silver hair pulling out a seed. Yoko popped it in his mouth and after a moment of chewing bent over and licked the wounds clean as he coated them in a white paste. When he could no longer smell the taint of the poison he nodded and placed himself between the hybrid and miko leaning his head on the girls shoulder. He noticed the odd looks he got from the hybrid and the mikos cousin, making a mental note to ask them about it later he drifted off into a light slumber.

Yoko woke when his head was brutally jerked forward cracking his neck. He smiled when he saw the reason why, Kagome had jumped forward to embrace the kit who was running around the room with seemingly boundless energy.

"Mama!" Shippo yelled hugging around her neck.

"I missed you baby!" She shouted, seeing her with Shippo in her arms had Yoko's mind racing with thoughts of silver haired blue eyed kits. Shippo gasped when his green eyes found Yoko's.

"Mama do you know who that is?" He whispered in awe pointing to the silver fox.

"That's Yoko," She smiled thinking she was answering his question.

"No, no mama who he is." Kagome shook her head waiting for his answer. "He is the Yoko Kurama, the legendary bandit!" As he spoke each word he got louder calling the attention of the room. Yoko smirked waggling his fingers at the wide eyed miko, Shippo jumped from Kagome's arms to the fox's lap.

"Hello," Yoko patted the kits head his heart clenching, it'd been so long since he saw a demon of his own kind. No he wasn't silver but that didn't matter. "It's a pleasure to meet you Shippo." He bowed his head in greeting.

"Oh wow! No, the pleasure is all mine!" He jumped up and down on the older demons leg.

"I see you are feeling better." Shippo smiled nodding his head excitedly.

"Yoko is the one who helped you Shippo, make sure to tell him thank you." Kagome smiled pointing at the pair of foxes a stern look in her eye.

"Thank you very much Yoko." He droned in a voice obviously practiced many times.

'She isn't his real mother I'd be able to smell it…Plus she's a virgin. But why on earth would she adopt a kit?' Yoko thought watching as she chased Shippo around the room in attempt to stop him from showing how much he had healed.

"You'll open your wounds Shippo!" She cried arms stretching towards her son she was worried but the smile on her face was blinding. The room watched them until Kagome lay on the ground out of breath her kit on her stomach laughing. When the kit yawned Kagome scooped him up and left the room, Yoko felt the need to be next to her the moment she was gone and followed. Keeping to the shadows and masking his aura he watched the miko.

"I love you too mama. Thank you for coming back for me."

"I'll always come back for you Shippo. You're never going to be alone again, now close your eyes and get some sleep." The kit nodded at her words and she placed a kiss on his forehead. "Have sweet dreams honey." She exited the room walking past the silver demon not even glancing back she motioned for him to follow with a crook of her finger. He followed eagerly. She led him out of the den to a small grassy hill to the side. Brushing her skirt under her legs she sat patting the ground beside her.

"Is everything alright?" He asked sitting next to her, the end of his tail twitched nervously.

"I just wanted to tell you how grateful I am Yoko. Is there anything I can do to repay you?"

"There's a few things I can think of," He purred leaning closer.

"Pervert." She laughed smacking him softly on the shoulder.

"Yes I am and I am a thief, but I still have my honor." Reaching into his top he held a small bottle in his hand. When she reached for it he grabbed her arm pulling her forward. "Though honor can be set aside when there is fun to be had." One arm held the shards away from her above his head the other held her atop him. Yoko's laugh rumbled through his chest, the sound made her blush as she reached both hands to grab at the bottle. Yoko knew with their height difference she would never reach, but he would never tell. With her arms not holding her up the full weight of her was against him, he moved his hand below her blouse dragging sharp claws softly against her tender skin. He felt her nipples harden against his chest and he grew hard in response. Her hips shifted against him sending electric shocks through his body. 'Maybe it's her miko powers that tantalize me so…Will I be satisfied just having her once?' He tightened his arm around her when she tried to slide off of him, with a second thought he let her wiggle her way down slightly before grabbing hold again. She gasped feeling his erection press against her.

"You know I can see you right?" The familiar angry voice of the half demon had Kagome jumping away from the fox with inhuman strength.
