A/N: I know that one was pretty short sorry but I'm excited to get to the climax of the story and I love ending things on slight cliff hangers I'm sure you've noticed. Watching Yu Yu Hakusho again Kuwabara is again cemented as my favorite character…maybe that's why I love my husband so much lol just slap a big beard on Kuwabara and that's him lol. It seems this fiction may be coming to an end soon but worry not I will be back with more! In my new fictions I think I might try to use the Japanese words for everything…hmmm…Well I hope you enjoy this new chapter! Alright looks like I'm gonna be writing one more chapter an epilogue of sorts so get ready for the end of Because I Was Bored.

Because I Was Bored Chapter Five Part Two

"Papa?" Kagome echoed the kit her eyes wide. "What do you mean Shippo?"

"Hello little miko." Gold eyes looked down at her from the top of the well, she cried in joy but something seemed odd about him. Kagome gasped when he jumped down next to her, his eyes, she would never forget his eyes but his body was different. He was much shorter than the Yoko she knew his eyes were a brilliant green and he had red hair.

"Shuichi?" She asked confused. "Yoko?" Her hand gasping at the blooming headache in her temple.

"Come," Kurama commanded simply pulling the small girl into his arms and jumping out of the well. Next the miko knew she was being gently placed on her pink bed.

"Explain." She glared pushing herself up to sit across from the man.

"I am Yoko but I am also Shuichi. The day I died I had to find a way to be with you again so I entered the body of an unborn child my plan was to leave this body after ten years but…my mother I came to care for her." His green eyes were gold and claws replaced his human finger nails.

"Why didn't you find me earlier?" She yelled crying in a mix of happiness and frustration.

"I could not, time would have fractured and I couldn't stand the thought of losing you again." Grabbing her by the wrist he pulled her close his nose burring deeply into her hair. "God I've missed you my little miko." He mumbled squeezing her tighter, a small yip had him releasing her with a chuckle. Shippo looked up at him with a toothy grin.

"Wait a minute…Yusuke knew about this didn't he?" Kurama gulped nodding his head he knew he'd just sent the spirit detective to his grave but he couldn't lie to his mate. "Yusuke!" She screamed making the pair of foxes throwing their hands over sensitive ears.

"Oh shit!" She heard her cousin yell and then the slamming of a door.

"I'll get you, you little rat." Kagome grumbled.

"KAZUMA!" A shout from outside the shrine had the little family running down the stairs. They walked out the front door to a sight that had them all laughing. Kuwabara was on the ground under the giggling form of Jeido who was rolling around on the man making barks. "It's been so long!" She yelled nipping at his neck making the man shiver in pleasure. "Oh! You've got some pup to meet! Daichi, Akako come meet your father!"

"What?" Kuwabara asked dumbfounded as the two children ran up the steps using both hands and feet to gain momentum.

"Daddy!" They yelled in unison tackling the orange haired man knocking him to the ground again.

"We've waited five-hundred years to finally meet you!" Akako squealed snuggling into her father small wolf ears sitting atop her mop of orange hair twitched at every sound.

"But…wha?" He asked looking between the pups and their mother.

"Our last night together five-hundred years ago, do you not remember the night we had. Well turns out I was in heat." She giggled at his blush as he looked wide eyed at the pups hoping they didn't understand what she was talking about. The female pup giggled at the look on his face.

"This is Daichi my brother!" She pointed to the other pup who looked at the man with fangs popping over his bottom lip in a grin.

"You look like me." Kuwabara mumbled at Daichi.

"Well I am your son." He scoffed crossing his arms.

"This one spent a bit too much time with uncle Koga some of his traits may have brushed off on him." Jeido giggled watching her pups with such love in her eyes it made Kuwabara smile. Suddenly he pulled the pups into a tight embrace laughing and shoving his face against theirs.

"So they are half demons. How did you keep them so young five-hundred years isn't short even for a demon. They should be full grown at least." Kurama questioned eyeing the pups who had started chasing their father around the large grounds nipping at his ankles. Kuwabara laughed and twisted quickly to chase after the pups tickling them mercilessly when he caught up.

"You see the beads they have?" Jeido asked the fox pointing to her own neck to show where they wore them Kurama nodded allowing her to continue. "They are along the same lines as the beads Inuyasha wore, they suppress their power and aging. Though now I guess I can take them off. Allow them to really grow." She smiled at the trio now playing in the trees, the pups jumped from tree to tree attempting to stay out of the reach of the tall man. The blue haired reaper was upon them franticly calling their names.

"He's almost through the barrier!" She yelled clutching her chest trying to catch her breath. "Naraku is coming."

"Shippo stay here with the pups. We are going to finish this." Kagome growled.

"No, Kagome you can't…" Kurama stepped closer to her his arms wrapped protectively around her middle. The fire in her eyes died her mind racing with thoughts of her unborn kit. A small smile crept over her lips as she tried to picture what her little half demon would look like. The promise of little fox ears and black hair with gold eyes steeled her resolve and she looked to her mate with determined eyes making him sigh.

"This little one is the reason I have to fight Kurama…" Kagome told the fox her blue eyes pleading with his. "I will stay as far back as I can and still hit him with arrows." Kurama nodded with a grumble he couldn't tell those eyes no.

'We will protect our mate Shuichi.' He sighed at the voice in his head if they weren't careful he would get them killed again.

"Kazuma! Bring the pups into the shrine we've got work to do!" Kuwabara whined along with the pups as they walked slowly back to the group. "Quit your wining!" She barked with a laugh. "Now get your cute little butts in the house, mom and dad have to go beat a bad guy." The pups nodded wishing them well and running into the shrine. Shippo followed the pups slowly his head bowed ashamed he didn't have the power to help his friends. With tear filled green eyes he watched the backs of his new parents sending a silent prayer to any god who would listen that they would come back to him safe. After a quick stop into Koenma's office they were teleported to the realm of demons only a few yards away from the evil half demon.

"Hello again Kagome." He greeted the miko his smile sending shivers down her spine and though he stood next to her the scene of her mate's death played fresh in her mind. She growled at the half demon part of her thinking perhaps she was spending a bit too much time with demons. Then she felt her senses strengthen, she could hear Kurama's heart beat and smell the unique scent of the group.

"What is going on?" She asked quietly to the air, hands wrapping over her pulsating stomach she began to sweat her eyes wide. "Kurama…" She breathed looking at the fox with scared eyes. He smiled at her putting his arms around her.

"Don't worry Kagome, it's the kit. He knows you are in danger so he is lending you his power. It is a version of what happens to a human woman if she is injured. Take a moment to get used to it, I will protect you." She nodded in wonder looking down at her hands her nails beginning to grow claws. She yipped when fangs bit her tongue.

"Kurama…how long will I be like this?"

"From my understanding it's permanent." He chuckled at her grin. "You are happy?"

"Of course!" She laughed then in a flurry brought her hands to her head and the grin was gone. "Aww no ears?" She whined with a pout making the fox laugh again.

"Spirit gun!" Yusuke's yell brought the couple crashing back to reality and they watched the half demon dodge the blue light easily.

"You are pretty famous around here spirit detective." The half demon laughed. "You won't surprise me that easily." Yusuke swore jumping back to join his friends.

"This won't be as easy as it was last time. No chance you can hit him again with that arrow?" He looked to his cousin who shook her head.

"He's ready this time and…he knows this time its real." With her nod the team jumped into battle.

Hiei jumped at the half demon his white headband forgotten on the wind, he watched Naraku closely with his third eye and though he longed to bury his sword to the hilt in the demons chest he became tasked with cutting down the tentacles that shot at the group. With his speed it was an easy task but left him no chance to attack the body. The group collectively groaned when the hoard of demons making their way over the horizon.

"Yusuke you take care of those!" Kurama yelled his red hair flashing silver as he dodged the slash of the half demons sword. Yusuke nodded running to meet the horde. Kurama growled when the half demon tried to make his way around the fox to the small miko. "You will not touch her!" He growled his form changing completely Kagome watched the silver fox she'd come to love as he fought Naraku. The half demon dashed forward attempting to make his way to Kagome again only to be stopped by the pain of the rose whip around his arm. "You will not touch her." Yoko yelled pulling harshly on the thorny whip ripping the arm off the half demon. Blood poured at Naraku's feet who screamed as the whip dug into his back cleaving masses of flesh. Before he could react the whip encircled his other arm ripping it away with a satisfying crunch of the bone. Yoko smirked at the howl of pain that tore from Naraku's body. The half demon laughed his flesh already beginning to regenerate. "You can regenerate all you like Naraku but you are not leaving this battle alive!" Yoko shouted the thorns of his whip digging into Naraku's neck, blood trickled down to his chest and he growled. With a snap of the whip the half demon lost his head and with that the battle was finished. Kagome walked to her mate his silver hair stained with the same red that splashed his clothes. Every step she took glowed a soft purple as she stepped over the half demon's remains.

"It's over." She whispered picking up the nearly completed jewel and placing the last shard snuggly into place.

'What is your wish?' The soothing voice asked and Kagome thought hard about it then smiled.

"I wish Kikyo could live again and be happy with Inuyasha."

'It is done…' The voice faded and with a small pop the jewel was gone.
