Lucy stood over Zander's limp body with the Colt Anaconda Revolver tightly gripped in her moist hand. Smoke was drifting from the barrel of the warm gun as rain slammed into the forest depths. Lucy's hair was matted at the tips with dried orange paint and her beautiful face still had flecks of the same paint on it as well. Her face resembled one of remorse as she stared down at the two tangled bodies with a pair of regretful eyes.
"You really did care for her didn't you Zander?" she asked with a saddened whisper. "Wow…guys like you are a rare find. Really rare. I'm sorry I had to do this…but I can't afford to lose, I just can't afford that."
Lucy closed her eyes almost feeling a bit of despair for the boy she just shot down as if she felt sorry for what she had done. Blood rushed from the gaping holes made in Zander's pale head and it coated his locks of curly, ebony black hair. As she felt the raindrops splash against her face, she thought of everyone she had murdered…
Trina…
"Don't worry Lucy. You can trust me. Maybe we can try and be friends."
Why? Why Am I…Why am I doing this?
Molly and Kirby…
"Shut up that's…that's not…that's not true! Why do you always have to be there when I'm most happy and ruin it!" Molly screamed hysterically.
I…I ruin everything. I've…I take? Just like them I…I'm lying and taking just like them…
Stevie…
Lucy slowly reopened her shining eyes and gazed down at Stevie's elegant body that was surrounded by lilies and began to grimace in pain after realizing she was the reason Stevie was lying there.
"Wait! You said that you watched Nelson fight me…why didn't you come to help me Lucy? Let me guess…you wanted him to kill me? Rooting for the old perv eh? Now that I beat him…you probably came down here to finish me off yourself! Talk about Hardcore Stone cold!"
No I…I just didn't want anyone to take from me anymore…I-I…no one has ever cared about me. Nobody cares about me…they only take and take until there's nothing left. I've never really had a true friend or…I've never had some truly care about me.
Jade…
"Do you really think I'm that stupid! I've been hanging around you for years and I've seen you play this whole game before! Just cut the crap already!"
I'm not playing games anymore…I just can't keep being a victim! They all take! Lucy knows! They all take and their all the same…I just wish I could find that one person like my daddy. One person to make me feel safe.
Josh…
"I'm being serious…they're so sad, but so caring at the same time. Like there's a piece of you that no one has seen before…like a lost little girl waiting to be found."
Lost? So sad? I am…I'm always sad, but no one cares…only you did Josh, but now you're dead. They all die or leave me…always.
Lucy felt her heart begin to swell out of pure depression as she began to feel guilt building up within her. However, should she be feeling guilty? After all, people have caused her horrible amounts of pain throughout her entire childhood. No. That doesn't excuse the fact that she's been murdering others for no concrete reason, but to Lucy…she had no other choice. This game was like a haunting test for her. It was a challenge to see if she would let others continue to take from her just like before.
It was all a sick test and Lucy wasn't going to fail it.
She gave Zander and Stevie's bodies one last look before turning on her blood red heel to search for the remaining competitors even though, unbeknownst to Lucy, Lulu was already dead.
Only seven more Lucy…only seven. You can't let them take from you anymore. You have to be the one who takes it all.
With that, Lucy trotted over to her black leather purse and slung her arm through the straps allowing the metallic chain to dangle on the side. She placed her gun inside the purse along with Kirby's (the one Zander had just used on her) and left the scene. The gunshot made in her chest from Zander was completely unharmed due to the Kevlar she stole from Felix's deceased body.
As she looked back one last time with a look of pity on her damp face, she said only one thing, "At least you got to die with your beloved."

Tuesday: June 4th, 2010 – 4:39 A.M. (Farm House – Front Yard; Deserted Island)
The rain flew down the long winding street in front of the abandoned farm house like an angry mist as Kacey sat there on the house's creaky front step. Drake had been using the bird call for an hour and fifty minutes. The serene sound of a bird's melody filled the air and mixed with the sound of rain falling onto the ground.
Drake let out a loud sigh as he brought the wooden tip from his thin lips and began to narrow his brown eyes at the swaying trees across the road that led to the heart of the forest. Still no one.
"How about an encore?" he groaned before bringing the bird call back up to his mouth with an exasperated expression.
"A seventieth encore? Not too annoying," Kacey moaned with her eyes rolling out of grief. "I say we forget it and look for Katniss and them ourselves. I can't take anymore of this waiting. I mean didn't you hear that gunshot? What if that was Lucy or…what if she killed everyone and she's coming right for us?" the former cheerleading captain asked with worry before standing up making the wooden steps of the porch creak horrendously.
"We can't leave Kacey. What if they're headed here right now? We can't afford to lose each other at this point alright," Drake answered with his chocolate brown bangs falling over one of his eyes as he looked back at Kacey.
He watched her sigh with a look of hesitation before falling back down on the blank white porch steps. The rain drizzled off the porch roof making streams of water fall all around them as Drake turned his head back over to the trees in hopes that Beck and the gang would come back soon.
"I hope they're all okay…" Kacey whispered while holding her knees close to her chest and burying her tan face into her bare arms.
"Me too," Drake responded with his voice breaking a bit out of faint hopelessness. He obviously didn't know if they were okay or not, but what else could they do? They didn't have anything else to do but resort to the basic rule of the game which was simply 'Kill'. He had to believe that they would get out of here…he had to.
It was just then did they hear a faint rustling noise coming from within the swaying trees along with the rapid rainfall. Kacey and Drake nearly jumped just from hearing it and immediately widened their eyes out of curiosity. They stared at the rustling leaves with their hearts beating against their tired chests.
After a couple agonizing seconds, Drake felt his chest tighten as someone barreled out from the drenched leaves with a few frantic breaths expelling from their lips. He was expecting it to be Lucy, but he was thankfully wrong.
"Beck!" he cried with a huge smile on his face as he sped over letting the rain spray against his face. Kacey quickly followed behind letting her plaid skirt flutter from the violent winds blowing all around and threw her arms around Tori as she emerged from the dense thicket.
"Thank God you guys are okay!" Kacey squealed in great relief making Tori begin to laugh even though she felt as though her throat was being crushed.
"Ugh! K-Kacey…w-we're…gah! G-Good to see you too!" the choked Latina coughed horribly as Kacey let go of her and jumped giddily with excitement. Camille unveiled herself from the security of the bushes with a calm look on her porcelain face as Katniss became the last one to come out.
"You guys come across Lucy yet?' Katniss bellowed with her silver eyes fixing onto Drake's body expecting a quick answer.
"Yeah actually," he answered back with a shallow breath as he looked over at Kacey with a look of pain. Beck quickly gave them both a look of confusion until he realized one crucial detail; Zander was missing.
"Wait! Where's Zander! Drake where- guys where is he?" Beck asked hysterically with an arched brow as he looked all around the vast open area only to let his eyes fall upon the same sights (The rickety old barn, the modern farm house, the endless winding black tar road, and the corn field lying right behind the nice looking home). "Drake! Kace! Where is he?" he asked with his voice rising to a louder volume while grasping Drake by the shoulders.
"We…he hasn't come back yet," the brunette replied with a broken voice causing Beck to look at him in a dumbfounded manner as his long swaying hair gently blew from the breeze.
"What do you mean he hasn't come back yet?" Katniss asked with a low tone causing everyone's spines to shiver horribly, or maybe it was just the arctic rain spray. Drake began to fiddle with his numbing fingers as he let Katniss' question sink in a bit before answering.
"He uh…he was fighting with Lucy and um…he really wanted us to go. He demanded it and- we didn't want to but he really wanted us to find you guys so that-"
"You mean you left him!" Beck burst out with disbelief causing Tori's eyes to gradually grow wide.
"She might have killed him," Tori whispered as she began to feel her wavy locks of hair stick to her caramel skinned neck. "Maybe she already did."
"Whatever! We just have to forget all that and-" just as Beck almost finished his frantic sentence, an ear shattering gunshot rang throughout the hazy air making everyone jump in the air out of shock. Everyone heard a loud blood curdling scream erupt throughout the air followed by pained whimpers making them all whip their faces around in search for who it was.
"K-Kacey!" Tori screamed in panic as she saw her cheerleading friend fall to the ground with an arching stream of bright red liquid spurting from her chest. Kacey fell to the damp ground making a heaving gasp expel from her shining lips. She was clutching her chest with an agonizing expression on her face making everyone stoop down to give her aid while Katniss threw her sight in every direction to catch a glimpse of the shooter.
Dark red blood was oozing from the bullet wound causing her dress shirt to stick to her chest making a hideous scarlet red patch in the fabric. Her uniform tie was a little torn from the hot speeding bullet and her charm bracelet from her dear friend Zander was dipping in the blood bubbling from her chest as she held it. "Wh-Wh-What…I-I..shot but I…I was sh-shot?" Kacey uncontrollably began to wheeze out in panic as if she were about to have an asthma attack.
"Kacey! It's okay…just keep holding onto my hand okay? You're going to be fine," Tori began to smile with a few tears coming to her eyes as she looked straight into Kacey's. How could she be okay? Her chest felt as if it were being scorched with a fiery lantern. Her lungs felt like they were being mercilessly stabbed…she felt as if she were about to die.
Katniss got her gun (Kendall's Browning pistol) ready and began to open her mouth to roar in anger for whoever the gunman was to come out and fight. Just as she did so, she spotted a girl fly out from behind a thick oak tree with her arm raised as if she were about to fire another deadly bullet. Her locks of gorgeous red and black hair flying all around her head as she crooked her elbow in order to keep her purse in tact
"Gotcha! Gotcha good!" the girl chuckled as she brought her lustful eyes from Kacey's writhing body and up to Katniss' form before pulling the trigger allowing a bullet to strike the single braided girl right in the arm.
"Shit!" Katniss hissed while dropping her lethal gun in response to grasp her upper arm which was burning from the bullet surging through it like a scorched ember.
"Katniss!" everyone cried out in worry as their eyes grew frantic. Beck rushed over to her leaving Drake and Tori to console Kacey and placed his hand on the tender wound that was beginning to get soaked with blood. Camille leapt up with a stern expression before grabbing their one duffle bag of weaponry on her shoulder.
The pale girl brought her soft hand up to the bag to zip it open but before she could, another shot filled her delicate ears making her leap to the side as her bag ripped open. She must have evaded the shot just in time so that it hit the bag instead. Camille watched the bag's contents fly through the air and spill all over the grass covered ground with helpless eyes.
Their remaining guns flew throughout the misty air and into the isolated road behind them. "Damn!" Beck seethed as he looked from the road back over to his front only to Lucy bringing the barrel of her gleaming revolver back up to Beck and Katniss' stiff bodies. Lucy's entrancing eyes were sparkling with beauty yet they seemed to be deep with hate and spite.
"Lucy? What the hell happened to you?"
Beck shut his eyes as tight as he possibly could before rushing over to the Browning to quickly fire it at the girl, but to no avail she had it pointed straight at them. There was no way he would be able to get to it in time. Instead he stepped right in front of Katniss with his eyes narrowed in anger making Katniss arch her brow in confusion.
"What the hell do you think you're-"
"Stop yelling Katniss…I'm just doing what a good friend would do."
Katniss felt her silver eyes shake as she heard Beck speak this and almost felt like punching him so hard that his eyes would pop out. No one has ever shown her this much devotion since she left her hometown a year ago. No one…
However, instead of hearing a dry shot coming from a gun they heard a piercing scream erupting from someone's throat. They both looked over at Lucy with frantic eyes only to see her fall to one knee; dropping her revolver in the process. Her black, leather pants made a loud stretching sound as she fell and blood was drizzling from her eye.
"Oh God," Beck whispered with a horrified expression.
Lucy had a knife deeply embedded in one of her eye sockets making her scream out in horrendous pain as she brought her hands up to it as if she had no clue of what just happened. It actually seemed to be one of the throwing knives belonging to Molly. Beck snatched them up when they were sitting on his bedside table in the lighthouse when he woke up. Who threw it though? "My eye! My fucking eye you cunt licking slutty ass bitch! You…Gah! My eye!" she screeched in hysteria while grasping the small blade's solid black handle.
Beck turned his head around only to see Tori standing there with her legs and knees wobbling terribly as if she were suffering from the cold. Her hand and fingers were stretched out along with her arm as she stood there with a look of amazement as if she couldn't believe what she had just done. She stared at her hand before falling to the ground with tears flying from her eyes.
"Oh God…Beck I'm sorry. I'm sorry but…I-I had to or else she…I had to!" Tori cried as she began to cover her sobbing mouth after coming to terms with her first real attempt to kill. That was the first time she had ever hurt someone like that…it felt awful.
"Tori?! You? You did that?" Beck gasped in shock yet he was completely astounded by how much Tori has grown since they first teamed up after leaving the school building the first night when the game began.
Katniss only began to chuckle in amazement before grinning maniacally. "Damn Tori. Way to go. Who knew you'd strike up the guts to do something so…extreme. Usually that's my calling."
Katniss used this single opportunity to make a dash for the gun she had dropped after being landed by Lucy Stone. She grasped the lonely metal pistol with her strong hand and brought the dark barrel straight up to Lucy's form as the girl with red streaks finished pulling the shining knife from her eye. A loud piercing scream filled the air as she did so and a gush of blood burst from her eye.
Lucy looked down at her dropped revolver and took a step forward to retrieve it making her heels press into the damp patches of dirt and grass. However, she heard a gun being cocked just as she made a movement and looked up see a gun being aimed straight at her. "Oh…" she whispered in horror before hearing it being shot off.
The bullet landed her right in the shoulder that had already suffered from Drake's gunshot and felt her body being thrown backwards. Blood spurted from her shoulder like a paint bottle bursting with sticky paint. Her purse flew from her arm and her mouth opened wide in shock as if everything were being played out in slow motion like in a movie. A huge bed of magnificently white roses were behind her as she fell and her dark red blood splashed onto their innocent and purely white petals.
Everyone watched intently as Lucy fell onto the bed of white roses and the bullet casing from Katniss' pistol bounced onto the ground. Lucy felt her shoulder burning from the pain of the bullet as she stared up at the sky with a pair of frantic eyes. Her hair was all over the place yet it still looked breath taking as pure tears began to form in her wide eyes.
She looked over at one of the white roses that was gently swaying in the wind. Its petal was dripping with her red blood and she couldn't help but slip into a state of delusions as she looked at it. It resembled her. A pure innocent white rose simply tainted in the midst of blooming.
"H-H-H-H-H-H…I-I…I-I…I'm only seventeen I…I can't…Lucy was supposed…s-supposed to take it all," the bleeding girl gasped hysterically as saw the blood dripping into the soil like water…nourishing the very same flower.
A scene played before the poor girl as she witnessed this. An event that changed her forever…
It was a brisk evening in December when Lucy was only eight. She was sitting at the dinner table with her new teddy bear (the one her step-father provided her) dressed in a golden ballgown in her hand as she began to laugh and joyously smile. She was pretending that her bear was dancing at the ball with Prince Charming and the song Beauty and the Beast was softly playing from the TV set in the small living room.
"I would love to dance," Lucy spoke with an elegant tone as she began to have her bear dance in an elegant fashion with giggles leaving her mouth. Just then, she heard the front door slam open making her gasp and look over with a pair of wide innocent eyes. It was her new father with a beer in one hand and a cigar in the other. He must've been out late with some friends after work. This happened quite frequently since September, but Lucy thought nothing of it.
The stumbling drunk staggered into the small kitchen after looking over at the TV with a look of weirdness on his face as he saw Belle and the Beast dancing in the ballroom. "The hell er you watchin'?"
"Beauty and the Beast," Lucy squeaked out in fear as she watched him stumble into the kitchen with a dirty grin on his face.
"Is that so?" he grinned once again before taking a long gulp of his nasty smelling beer making Lucy cringe in disgust. Her black hair was nicely done and fell at her small shoulders as she watched him begin to come towards her. "Beauty and the Beast is one of my favorite movies ya know. I really enjoy the whole thing about two different people falling in love…heartwarming and stuff. Real touching…real romantic."
"Romantic? You like the movie too?" Lucy felt her small lips curve into a bright smile as she began to pull on her bright blue sun dress. Her stepdad nodded with a cunning smirk before grabbing her stuffed bear with a lustful look. Its black button eyes gleamed from the dimmed kitchen lighting as he brought it to his face.
"I sure do, watch," he slurred before kissing the bear roughly while emitting a series of sexual groans making Lucy arch her brows in confusion and only pursed her lips from the disturbing scene. He pulled away after licking the bears face and threw it back on the table making her look over at it with trembling eyes. "I just wish I could have a real beauty to share the romance with."
"What about my mommy? She's at the grocery store right now, but you can be all romantic with her when she gets home."
"No…no, no…Lucy I need a girl. I need a real beauty…don't pretend you don't want to be the Beauty from Beauty and the Beast. I've seen you," the man growled his slurred speech continued to spill from his mouth along with his crude breath that was tainted with alcohol. "I've seen you prance around with those little dresses you've got on. You love to tease me don't you?" he groaned while grabbing her dress making her begin to whimper in utter fear.
"What…what are you doing?" she asked with a frightened tone to her small innocent voice making him grin in satisfaction.
"I'm getting what I've been wanting ever since I met you…I'm taking it all!"
Lucy almost screamed in horror as he grabbed her by wrapping his arms around her and carrying her into the master bedroom thrashing and screaming. It didn't work…he threw her onto the bed before slamming the door shut; locking it just in case while unbuckling his belt frantically in excitement.
Lucy leapt from the bed and tried to escape, but she received a harsh slap on the cheek in response and felt her body being pressed against the bed as he loomed over her while trying to get his pants off. "Stop it! Please don't! I-I'm scared pl-"
"Shut up!" he screamed in anger while covering her mouth; tearing off the dress she was wearing as he did so.
Just outside the room, the dog he gave Lucy (his name was Max) was howling outside the door as the song softly playing from the TV continued to go on as if nothing was occurring. The muffled sounds of groaning and crying were coming from the room as the hour went by along with slapping and harsh name calling.
That was the night Lucy lost her innocence. It was the night Lucy changed for the worse. However, a week later the same incident happened. It was when she was going to talk to her third grade teacher's seventeen year old aid named Steven Carson. Right after she was finished she went to the girls' bathroom in her elementary school's hallway to finish wiping her face free of tears, but that aid followed her in and assaulted her in one of the stalls.
First the trust…then they take everything that follows. Lucy didn't know who to trust…she thought everyone would be her friend but boy was she wrong. Boys were all the same. At first they seem nice but then they reveal their true selves. They all made her an empty shell.
Trust First…Always lie so that they give you their trust…Then you take control… You take it all…poor little fools just don't get how the system works.
Lucy continued to stare at the dripping rose with an agonizing look on her face as she began to gasp from the emotional stress that began to toll on her. She hated thinking about that first incident and the one in her school. They always made the pain hit home worse than the others because they were the root cause of her pain. They were the core of what she had become.
"B-But…I…Lucy learned," Lucy gasped with tears streaming from her uninjured eye while the other had a trail of crimson red liquid running from it.
She saw him lie, take and hurt! Oh…yes she did. He just kept on taking like a greedy pig! Took and took! Lied and Lied! But guess what Daddy's little Ladybug learned? She learned how to take…oh yes. Just like this pervert called my 'stepdad' took everything from me…Payback's a bitch!
"No…never tell or else they…they try and take it all back. They- they all…all lie."
Lucy saw red and blue police lights flashing in front of her terrified eyes as she saw them from outside her home after Wayne Wayne had murdered her parents as she laid there in the roses. She smelled the stench of iron drifting throughout her nose as she saw the two body bags being carried out. She saw her younger self leaning against a wall with her pear phone out with the bold numbers '911' flashing on the red phone's lucid screen.
"Yeah…b-bad enough…they all are. So bad…bad boys. They all lie…they promise they'll stay…they say they love you but it's all just a bunch of filthy sick lies!" Lucy screamed with a few choked sobs coming from her mouth as she looked up at the treetops towering over her.
Lies…Lies…All Lies…
"Such an adventure. Orphaned and only twelve? My, my…what will ever happen to little Lucille Stone?"
Lucy heard her twelve year old self giggle within her head making her cringe in horror. "P-Poor little Lucy Stone," she whispered with great sadness before trying her best to get up from the bed of white blood splotched roses. Lucy's fingers twitched as she looked up at Katniss and the others with her lips curving into a twisted smile.
Beck? Oh Katniss? Lucy knows you both…oh yes she does. You all hurt Lucy don't you? Hm? You all like it when she cries…all the boys do.
Lucy brought her spastic fingers up to the hem of her satin red one shoulder shirt with a sadistic grin on her face before pulling it off to reveal the bullet proof vest she had hiding underneath it. Everyone's eyes went wide from the sight as she began to remove the vest as well.
"What the hell is she up to?" Drake whispered with a whimpering Kacey still in his trembling arms.
"You all look. Don't you? You all want at least a little peek right? A flash of the tits or a peek of pink between the legs? You choose," the seductive yet troubled young girl cooed while removing the vest torturously slow letting her blood red colored bra with lace come into view. It was covering her cream colored breasts as she dropped the Kevlar material to the ground letting everyone take her top half into their eyes. The girls cringed and even Drake and Beck felt sickened by the sight. Lucy didn't even notice it. "You all like this don't you? Me undressing right before your eyes. You all could have killed me…but you didn't. Why? Do you like it when the girls bleed? Oh yes…you do. Bleeding and hurting and taking it all…Lucy knows."
Beck almost felt like puking as he watched her bend over and pluck a single rose from the ground. Its petals were tainted with dark red liquid as it dripped from one of them and drizzled down her toned stomach when she held it against her chest. "What would you like me to do hm? Taste you? I've never been with girls before…well, I guess I could swing wither way."
Her eyes were flooded with pained tears yet her face still had a sex hungry grin on it as she stared at the gang; a blood trail streaming from her wounded eye that resembled that of a snow white mouse. "Have any of you ever fucked a willing girl before? If not then I can try and resist as you take me against my will…see look. No! Please stop! Don't it...it hurts! Hee-hee…see? I can play the part. I've had years of practice."
She began to unzip her leather jeans and wiggled out of them to reveal her matching pair of red panties with a delicate lace pattern (A rose pattern to be exact). She kicked the leather pants to the side letting her half naked form bask in glory. "That's it huh? Pain, blood, crying and taking it all? Oh yes it is. Lucy knows because she learned. So guess what?" she moaned with a tone of ecstasy in her seductive voice as she began to lick her lips longingly. "Take me…take me and let me do whatever your hearts desire. Boy or girl…I can make you feel things you've never felt before. I can make you feel it all…I can make you feel the love!"
Right as Lucy finished speaking, she heard another ear splitting shot roar throughout the air making her eyes go wide in shock. A bullet surged through her lower arm on the same side as the shoulder wound making her fly back again with a feeling of panic rising from within her. Tori stood right by Katniss holding the pistol with a look of absolute anger on her face causing Katniss to stare at her in disbelief. Tori? What are you-"
"You said kill her on sight," Tori responded curtly with an annoyed breath leaving her mouth as she gave Katniss a furious look. "I won't let her get away with what she did."
Lucy fell to the ground with her eyes wide in confusion as she felt as if she were about to cry in just a split second. "No…I grew breasts. I grew everything so I didn't have to hurt anymore. Breasts see! No more little Lucy! All grown up see!"
It was only then did the small eight year old Lucy appear. All beat up and abused from that night in December as she tried her best to get up from the forest floors. Her dress coated with blood all thanks to the horrendous rape she had endured and her childish eyes were stinging with tears. The small representation of Lucy looked over at the gang of six with a look of sadness before whimpering just like she did with her shoulder length hair tossed all around. "I-I…why are hurting me? Is it…is it because you want me to take it all off? Y-You…you want it? You…" Lucy began to lift her tattered sundress slowly with her eyebrows arched in sadness. "Okay…you can hurt me. As long as you promise…Promise you'll stay with me. Promise me for…for real."
Tori narrowed her eyes as she watched Lucy begin to wrap her fingers around the waistband of her panties as if she were about pull them off and in response, the Hispanic girl pulled the trigger once again landing Lucy right in the stomach causing her to fly back yet again with a painful scream ringing from her throat.
She collapsed onto the ground once more with a few stifled sobs leaving her lipstick tainted lips as she tried to hoist herself up despite all the grueling pain running through her. Her heels were still on her feet as she got up, but now she was beginning to lose it. She had now changed into the teddy bear she received from her step dad…the lavender fur with cute little bow…all dressed up in a gorgeous golden ball gown.
The bear began to rip and tear letting stuffing fall out like white puffing clouds. Its button eyes were nearly hanging from its face as it tried to stand on its own two feet with a happy smile on its face. This bear represented Lucy's entire childhood…a childhood that began to fall apart no matter how precious or how adorable it seemed to others.
"Why? It hurts…they promised. He promised! Promised he'd stay…he promised his little Lucy he'd stay," Lucy's voice sobbed horribly from the bear's plush body as it continued to stumble forth.
"No Lucy…they all lie. They all lie…remember? First the trust."
"But why? It always hurts and…and no one ever tells little Lucy why! Why does the love always hurt me? Tell me please! Tell me why!" Lucy's cried as everyone stared at her with strange looks; her half naked form coming towards them. "Please tell me you'll stay! Make it all stop! Make the pain go away please!"
Katniss gritted her teeth as she watched Lucy with a pair of squinted silver eyes before hearing Tori pop off another bullet making a gaping hole form in Lucy's thigh causing her to let out a howling scream. "What are you trying to do Tori? Torture her?" Beck frantically asked while running over to her.
"I'm just letting her feel what all of our friends felt when she hurt them. I'm making her feel what my sister felt when she murdered her," Tori whispered with a tone of pain as she looked over Lucy's body that was now huddled on the ground in a puddle of rain water. She was hugging knees as if she were about to have a mental breakdown and her lips opened and closed letting the water rush into her mouth.
"I'm only s-seventeen…only seventeen and…and I-I…always pain. It always h-hurts. Everyone leaves me…everyone dies. Max my puppy he…the mean daddy choked him after he raped me…he choked him and made me watch! Everyone I love always leaves or dies just like Max and daddy and Josh, but all the mean boys who take and take always stay and hurt me. N-No more love for Lucy…No more love…Everyone leaves…no more love…hurts and…and no more lo-"
"How's my little girl? How's my little ladybug? Always my little baby girl…" she heard a soft nurturing man speak in her mind making her brown eyes shoot open wide as she felt a wave of overwhelming emotions.
"No…d-daddy? Is that you d-daddy?" Lucy began to smile like her child self as saw her birth father's calm and caring face fill her eyes. Lucy's birth father was actually Japanese and met Ms. Stone when she was traveling to Japan for a business meeting which made him all the more unique. "No!" Lucy screamed in anguish while summoning all of her remaining strength to try and crawl over to her purse.
"You're not alone ladybug…never alone," she heard his kind and joyful voice fill her ears making her smile innocently.
"Daddy…never alone? You promise?"
"Promise little princess."
Lucy crawled over to her glistening black purse with her nails digging deep into the fresh soil as if she were a beast coming up from the Earth. Her red and black curls were falling in front of her tear and blood stained face as she began to grasp her purse by the strap and dug through it.
Meanwhile Tori began to walk after her after she got her hands on Katniss' finely carved bow with an arrow. It happened to be lying in all the mess made after Lucy shot the bag Camille had been carrying. Tori actually shot an arrow once or twice with her dad when they would go camping sometimes as a family so this should be a walk in the park.
Tori stopped right behind the deranged temptress with the bow drawn back with a sharply carved arrow pinched in her fingers; trying to aim for a perfect kill shot. That is until she heard Lucy begin to giggle like an innocent little girl with her stained face turning to face Tori and the others. "T-Tori? Lucy knows you. She knows all of you…She can feel all of you."
Lucy brought her hand over to Tori with a glittering object shining on her pale finger. It was the ladybug ring her father gave her when she was just a young girl. The one thing Lucy cherished more than anything in this world. She revealed the golden ring to Tori, Beck, Katniss and the others with a giggly smile on her face. "See! Lucy knows…her daddy said so. He said I was always his little ladybug…closest to his heart. Never hurt Little Lucy…always loved her forever and ever see. He…He didn't leave see. I can still feel him."
Lucy remembered it perfectly as if it happened only yesterday. It was after fifth birthday party and all her friends had gone…Party streamers were strewn all over the backyard and glitter was covering the grass along with a few plastic cups. It was the best thing Lucy had ever experienced and it was the worst thing her parents ever had to endure.
"I got everything I wanted," Lucy giggled with joy while clutching her new gifts close to her as her hair bounced about due to it being in two childish ponytails.
"No you didn't," her father beamed while coming out onto the back porch with something behind his back.
"What do you mean daddy?" Lucy asked in confusion.
"I still have one more present for you princess," he chuckled with great happiness as he watched his beautiful daughter jump with excitement.
"Really!? For real!? What is it? What is it?" she bounced with energy as her mouth gave off a delightful smile that made her father's heart melt from how adorable she was.
"Okay baby…here it is," he slowly brought the lavender ring box from behind his back making Lucy's eyes grow wide in an intrigued manner. "But this is our little secret okay? Your mother would kill me if she found out how much I spent on this, but it was worth it to see you happy."
"Our secret. Got it!" Lucy whispered with a few giggles before taking the box from her caring father's pale white hands. She opened the ring box with her eyes gleaming with excitement as she saw a golden ring sparkle from within it. "Daddy? For real? All for me?"
"Mm-hm…all for you little ladybug. All for you. You'll always be daddy's little princess okay? Always…and with this. You can always remember that. This will help you remember that you're closest to my heart," the young beaming man spoke gently while slipping the ring onto Lucy's small finger.
"Daddy…do you promise?"
"I promise honey…You'll always be closest to my heart. As long as you have this present with you…I'll always be with you no matter what. I'll never leave you baby."
"Never leave me…" Lucy whispered as she showed the golden ring off to Tori who merely stared at it in great confusion. "Closest to his heart…I'm…I'm his little princess. He promised."
Lucy then remembered what happened only days later. It was when her dad finally was able to take her out to learn how to ride the new hot pink bike she got for her birthday. She'd been bugging him for days about it so he finally caved in.
As early evening came into view, Lucy had been wobbling on her bike down the sidewalk of Central Park near the NY streets with her kind father riding at her pace on his own bike on the road.
Then a car came speeding down the street like a rampant bullet and slammed into Mr. Stone's bike making him fly over the car like a ragged doll, but after he fell onto the street all sprawled out, the car that hit him frantically sped off. Leaving Lucy there in absolute shock and confusion as she stared at her father's bloody body.
"D-Daddy? Are you okay?" Lucy spoke up with whimper as she got off of her gleaming bike. "Daddy…don't go…daddy? Daddy?" she began to cry while running over to his corpse while his eyes still looked as kind as ever and gazed into hers.
"No! He can't he…he promised me," Lucy snapped from her painful flashback before letting out a great scream of denial making everyone leap back in fear. "No! He never left! Never! I-I can still feel him! Daddy didn't go…he didn't die! He's still here with his little Lucy! His ladybug she…she can feel him! Everyone hurts me…they all hurt me but daddy never did! He never hurt me…he loved me. His love never hurt."
Lucy gave them all a sad smile as she let the ring gleam brilliantly from her finger; the glittering ladybug proudly shining in front of their eyes. "You can't…you can't hurt me. Tori you…you have to feel it too. You have your daddy. You're lucky…you can feel it can't you? Your daddy's love? Can't you feel it?" the poor girl whispered desperately with a few tears rolling down her flushed cheeks as the wind blew her curly locks of red hair all around her head.
Tori stared at the ring as if she were having second thoughts. She felt her eyes brim with tears as she took in the sight of the brilliantly glowing golden ring with a feeling of sadness gripping her chest. Her finger ached while holding back the deadly arrow as she looked at the ladybug accessory with trembling eyes.
"Tori you can…you can feel it too? You can huh?" Lucy beamed with her eyes shining just like they did when she was a five year old girl. Before she experienced any pain whatsoever. "Daddy's love…you can feel it and so can I. You see? He never left his little ladybug. Daddy's little princess forev-"
Lucy felt something sharp pierce the center of her face immediately after she spoke the word 'princess' causing her eyes to go wide from the sensation. Her body flew back one last time with her eyebrows arched in great sadness.
A wooden arrow was deeply stuck in the center of her once flawless face. Her nose was caved in thanks to the arrows sharp tip and dark red blood bubbled from the center of her face like a volcano getting ready to erupt. It bubbled and streamed into her gaping mouth as she lay on her bloody back in the bed of white roses with a look of disbelief. Her hand was still being held high above her as if she wanted someone to grab her and hold her and her ring glistened as she did so.
Lucy's POV
Daddy? It still hurts…all of it h-hurts and I…I don't know how to make it stop. My face hurts and all the blood it…it all hurts. No love…no love for little Lucy. No more love for little Lucy. Always pain…I feel a burning sensation course through my head and build behind my eyes. The fanning tail of the arrow is shining from the emerging sunlight coming through the dusky gray clouds. I can't…daddy I…I can't feel it.
Where are you? Y-You promised me…you promised…your little Lucy you'd stay with her. I can't feel you. I keep holding my arm up so that my ring can continue to shine in hopes that my daddy will come and save me. He has to because he…he promised! Our secret daddy…everyone always hurts me. Everyone hurts me but you always gave me my happiness. No more happiness though. I guess I'll never get my happy ending…
Please don't go…don't leave me daddy. Not like before…don't leave me so that I can keep hurting. Please help me. Don't go…
Soon, I find myself on a lonely road bathed in glowing orange sunlight. Where am I? Did I black out? Where the hell am I? I look all around me only to see that I'm wearing a pure white dress…like a sundress. I haven't worn these since I was…Oh my God. Since I was eight. Why now? I look all around me only to see rolling hills bathed in a golden light along with pink clouds peacefully rolling in the tangerine colored skies.
The road seems to stretch out for miles into the horizon and at the end I see the sun glowing and brilliantly shining with joy. What is this place? It's beautiful…It's so beautiful-
"Hello there," I hear a man's voice speak from behind me causing me to twirl around in shock. I can't make him out thanks to him being outlined by the sun's brilliant rays making him look like a blurred shadow. Who…Who the hell is that?
"Stay away!" I scream backing away from him with a look of anger written all over my face. Men…I hate them! Takers. All sour rutting takers! All of them the same. I see him taking a few steps closer to me. "I said stay back!"
"No…it's okay baby. No one can hurt you now. No one can hurt you now…" the voice calmly spoke with his arm reaching out to me. I feel my collar from the BR game squeeze against my neck like fucking claws making me seethe in anger. I bring my fingers up to it in hopes to get it off considering how much it hurts, but I still back away from him with a scared look. Who is he? No…he'll hurt me. They all do! No more! No more pain!
"No! Go away now! No more tricks you hear!? No more taking! No more taking the trust! Stop…just stop taking it!" I cry out as tears begin to emerge in my eyes. That is until I hear him speak once more with a tone of kindness and care that makes me feel somewhat at ease.
"Okay…one more trick though okay little ladybug. I have one more surprise for you okay?"
"Huh?" I speak softly as I see him bring his hand up to me as if he making a wave motion my way. I then feel the metal collar around neck break off like it's nothing and watch it fall to the tar covered ground with a pair of amazed eyes. He got it off? How? It feels so good to have that thing off, but…but how did he do it?
"You okay now…ladybug? Are you okay now?" I hear the man speak as he steps closer to me letting the golden light from above bathe him gloriously. Daddy? Oh…Daddy? Is that really you? His loving face that makes me smile whenever I look at it…his soft sweater that he'd always wear; the one I loved burying my face in whenever I felt sad…his bright caring smile. It really is him.
"I…I thought you left."
"Never little princess…I promised remember. You'll always be daddy's girl okay? You'll always be close to my heart…all you had to do was want it bad enough and look where we are?" he chuckled softly while opening his arms in a welcoming manner. He wants me to hug him? He loves me? He…I'm his ladybug…no more pain. It all stops and…and it's over. It's all over because d-daddy came back for me. He kept his promise. He came back…it's all over.
Really over…I finally have my happy ending. Little Lucy finally found her happy ending. I feel a bright genuine smile come onto my face as I run into his arms and feel his sweater brush against my face and tears begin spilling from my eyes. Tears of joy…my happy ending.
"For real daddy? You'll stay with me now? F-For real?" I whisper with a few joyful sobs emitting from my mouth.
I feel him hold my head against his chest protectively while soothingly whispering into my ear. "For real honey."
It really is all over. Finally it all ends…no more pain and no more hurting.
At last, I found my happy ending.
I found the love…at last.
Normal POV
Everyone stared as Lucy's arm slowly fell to the ground at her side with a thud. Her golden ladybug ring still glistening on her motionless finger and the white roses were now splotched with red underneath and around her stiff, half-naked body. Her face looked deformed due to the arrow protruding from her face as if it were a wooden, thin nose; she almost resembled Pinocchio and scarlet red blood was pooling around her head. The lethal arrow's tip was sticking out from the back of Lucy's head and the center of her face still had warm blood bubbling up from it. Tears were rolling down her cream colored cheeks as she stared up at the clearing skies with a look of contentment in them.
She finally found him…Lucy had finally found her happy ending.
