Natasha walked up the stairs to the school. She opened her locker and put her stuff in. She turned around, and four people were walking down the halls like they had never been into a school before. One waved to her with a ridiculous smile and kept walking. She watched them. They looked familiar. Why? Suddenly the bell went off, and the one who had waved screamed and collapsed on the ground, holding his ears, like the noise was too loud. Okay then. As Natasha walked to class, a jock started to follow her. After about five minutes she got sick of him and spun around. "Are you following me?"
"Yeah."
"Why?"
"I wanted to see if you were cool. You're not. Later loser." And with that he walked away. Well, not the best start. For first term she had a math class. Not her best class. This was one of those schools where two students share a desk. Her desk partner person was a popular girl called Danielle. She looked at Natasha as if she was a bug she found on her desk. "Um, hi."
"Stay on your side of the desk. Please."
And for the rest of the class Danielle ignored Natasha. After that she had a history class, and a geography class. Then lunch. Natasha was nervous. Lunch was the time when she basically found out if she'd be accepted. As she walked in there were no empty seats, except a whole table in the corner, by the door. She noticed that behind her came the four she had seen at the beginning of the day. One girl, three boys. The girl was the second tallest and had brown hair and a pretty face. The tallest boy had brown hair as well, and looked none too smart. The shortest boy was African American, and was really skinny. The boy who appears to have hearing problems was second shortest and also had brown hair, and was well built, but small. The four of them stood talking by the door until the tallest walked right up to the popular table and sat down. After a few minutes the hearing problem boy went and sat down too. They were crazy. The girl and shortest boy apparently agreed with Natasha. Then the jocks came in. "Hey, that's my seat."
And they began to pick on Mr hearing problems. Suddenly something changed in his demeanor. It's like his personality changed. And with that he flipped the ringleader down and held him down with surprising strength. "I'm gonna rip out your kneecaps and use them as hockey pucks!" That was odd. His voiced changed. He let the jock go. "You have no idea who you messing with! Pudding cups!" Two people put pudding cups in his outstretched hands. "Oh, I'll take those!" And with that he took them and shot them all over the football team. "You're dead!" That was the ringleader again. And hearing problem boy roared. Like a animal. "You're lucky we have to go to the reading center, right now!" And the whole football team ran from someone shorter than all of them. So tough, and impressive. Whatever. But during that lunch she sat by herself.
