I got an idea for Version 2, where Shizuru found the letter and piece it together. Enjoy!

Shizuru was sweeping the house after Masashi had left with their daughter. She caught sight of something in the ashtray next to the entrance that she was about to empty and picked it up. Ara, a piece of paper shouldn't belong in the ashtray. She looked into it and found more pieces of paper. She took all of them out and went back to her room, where she placed the pieces on the table. Words? She read through all the words and caught sight of some familiar words. Me? Could this be a letter? She began to piece it together. Masashi was at work and won't be back before night, fetching their daughter along the way home, so she didn't have any interruptions. By the time she was done, it was already evening. She cooked dinner, greeted Masashi and their daughter. They finished dinner, she did housework again and it was late in the night by the time she took a shower. Coming out of the shower with a towel draped over her head and in her pyjamas, she suddenly remembered the letter. She picked it up from the table and read it. Natsuki? Isn't her mother dead? What does she mean by joini-?! Natsuki! She threw the towel on her bed and quickly changed into some outside clothes. There was a storm outside and it was raining hard. She quickly wore her raincoat and grabbed an umbrella. She then ran in the storm towards the cliffs where Natsuki said the accident took place.

Guess she really isn't coming. She glanced at her watch. Three… Two… One… Just as the hand reached twelve, she jumped. Goodbye, everyone. I'm sorry. A hand reached out and grabbed her hand. Natsuki opened her tightly closed eyes and looked up to see… Shizuru? Why is she crying?

"Natsuki… Why didn't you tell me? Ikezu!" Natsuki could feel tears form in her eyes and she looked down.

"I did, I sent you a letter." Her voice was a little louder than a whisper.

"It was ripped into pieces!" Her head snapped up.

"What?" Shizuru wiped her tears away with her hand. Her other hand was the only thing keeping Natsuki from falling into the raging sea below.

"You didn't rip it?" Natsuki shook her head. Realisation dawned on her.

"Masashi. He'll pay for this." She muttered under her breath.

"Shizuru? Did you say something?" Shizuru shook her head. She used both hands and began to pull Natsuki up.

"Stop it, Shizuru! I don't want to live! Not anymore!" Natsuki shouted but Shizuru ignored her.

"Shizuru! Sto-!"

"No!" Tears fell on her face along with the rain.

"Shi…zuru?"

"Natsuki, ikezu! Did you ever think about me?" At that moment, the rain stopped, just like how the black in my sky faded.

"You were always like this! Thinking only about yourself!"

"Shizuru?"

"You might want to die, but did you think about us, about me?! Did you think that I want you to live?!" My sky was grey.

"What about Mai-san and the others? Did you ever think about their feelings? Did you ever think about mine?" My sky had always been grey.

"I don't want this! I want you to live!" The grey clouds parted, and the sun shone through. It had been grey since I was 7.

"There are people who care about you! People like me and your friends!" The grey was starting to fade in my sky. Shizuru pulled Natsuki up.

"You're not alone, Natsuki." The sky was blue, just like how my sky used to be.

"Natsuki!" Mai.

"Natsuki!" Mikoto.

"Kuga!" Nao.

"Natsuki-san!" Takumi.

"Natsuki-san!" Akira.

"Kuga-san!" Yukino.

"Kuga!" Haruka.

"Kuga-san!" Kazuya.

"Natsuki-san!" Akane.

"Nat-chan!" Midori.

"Natsuki-san!" Yohko.

"Kuga-san!" Shiho.

"Kuga!" Tate.

"Kuga-san!" Fumi.

"Kuga-san!" Yukariko.

"Kuga-san!" Ishigami.

"Hime!" Sakomizu.

"Natsuki-san!" Yamada.

"Kuga-san!" Chie.

"Kuga-san!" Aoi. Natsuki looked at the approaching group of people. The grey in my sky was fading.

"We all got a call from Kaichou-san about the letter." Mai panted.

"That was damn reckless of you!" Akira said.

"One second later and you could've lost your life! The hell you're thinking, mutt?" Nao yelled, gasping for air.

"Yeah! Damn it, Kuga, you disappeared without a trance and just when we heard from you, you wanted to end your life?"

"It's 'trace', Haruka-chan, and yes, Kuga-san, I agree with Haruka-chan. You shouldn't end your life."

"You helped all of us at least once in the past." Akane said.

"Now, it's our turn to help you." Kazuya said.

"You taught us about life." Takumi smiled.

"Don't do something like that again!" Yohko scolded.

"You scared me out of my wits!" Midori whined.

"It won't make a good scoop, you know!" Chie said.

"Neither will it be a good headline." Aoi added.

"We all love Natsuki, mm!" Mikoto exclaimed.

"What will Doctor Kuga think if she knew?" Sakomizu said.

"I have no better customer than you, you know!" Yamada complained.

"God will forgive you!" Yukariko said.

"You're crazy if you want to end your life!" Ishgami said.

"Life is all about living!" Fumi said.

"We are your friends. You once said that, remember?" Shiho said.

"And friends help and care for one another. You said that before too, didn't you?" Tate said. I could see blue in my sky. My sky had returned to blue, the blue that it was when I was 7. It wasn't the grey that it turned to after Mom, Duran and Dad died, and clouded my mind since. It was a clear sky blue. Natsuki looked at her friends and realised something. My sky was blue back then because I was happy. My sky turned grey because I turned miserable. I became full of sorrow and hatred. And now, I probably caused all their skies to turn grey too. I was the cause of the sorrow my friends were feeling now. Shizuru was right. I am the bad one. I never thought of them and how they might feel. I never thought of the consequences. I only thought about myself. She wiped her tears away. But, it's never too late. I can still change that. I still have the chance to change everything. And I will. She stood up and apologised to the others, confessing to Shizuru as she went. Looking at the rising sun with her friends and girlfriend, Natsuki smiled. From now on, I'll live, for myself, and, for the ones I love.

Me: Done!

Shizuru: Ara, Author-san. I thought you said you were satisfied with the first version and decided not to continue it. So why the second version now?

Me: You see… I was bored so one day I just re-read all my stories and my favourite stories.

Shizuru: So?

Me: So I just decided to update this. Nothing wrong, right? And it gives you more time with Natsuki.

Shizuru:*After thinking for a while* You're right. Thanks, Author-san.

Me: No problem. *Turns to see Natsuki*

Me: Yes?

Natsuki: So what happened to that bastard?

Me: Which one?

Natsuki: Masashi.

Me: Oh, him. Well, he was ignored, brought to the Fujino Family's Private Prison and will spend his life there.

Natsuki: Thanks.

Me: Again, no problem. Now why don't you and Shizuru go for a little honeymoon. I got two extra tickets. *Shizuru and Natsuki left immediately* *Turns to readers* K, bye!
