Last Wish

"Dino!" Tsuna exclaimed. There was a bright smile on his face as he pushed to his feet. "I wasn't expecting you!"

"I did set up a meeting," Dino pointed out.

Tsuna gave a soft laugh, "All the more reason not to think it was you. You usually just show up without any warning."

"Ah..." Dino tensed. He reached up, combing his fingers through his hair. "That's because I have something serious to discuss this time."

"Oh." Tsuna straightened up. He gestured to the chair across from his desk. "Sit down then and we can talk about it."

When they were settled, silence stretched between them. Tsuna could see Dino trying to get the words he wanted, so he didn't try to initiate the conversation.

"I," Dino said at last, "don't want the Cavallone to end with me. But, I don't have an heir yet. I can't have any children and I can't adopt because I wouldn't want to put a kid in the middle of my fucked up relationship with Squalo. And I trust my family with all of my heart, but I can't pass this on to any of them."

"Okay..." Tsuna drew out. "I don't know how I'm supposed to help you with this, Dino."

Dino's hands gripped the arms of the chair he was sitting in. He took a deep breath before saying, "I want to make Leo Cavallone Undecimo."

Tsuna stared at him. After a moment, he let out a soft, "What?"

"I don't want to take him from you," Dino said. "It's just that I trust you and Kyoya absolutely and I know he'll grow into the type of man I could trust with my family."

Tsuna stayed still for a long time. He chewed on his lip before looking up at Dino, "You're absolutely sure this is what you want to do?" Dino gave a short nod. "I'll think about it then. How long are you in town?"

"A week or two, but you don't have to rush to give me an answer," he answered. "He's only eight and I'm planning on being alive for a long time yet."

E/n: So relevant to this drabble: some of you may know this from previous stories, but in my verse Kyoya and Tsuna have two children. Carina and Leo with Carina being the oldest and the one who becomes Vongola Undecimo. Hence why Dino asks for Leo - since his future is thusfar undecided.

Other things: This drabble feels a bit off to me? Something in the way I wrote it but I couldn't figure it out...

This also had the HUGE potential to be angst-y, but I think we have all realized that I am not an angst writer. I am fluff and laughter with OCCASIONAL canon family pain and never death bc character death is the thing of nightmares.
