Hello there!

Here's chapter 17 for Troublemaker!

I'm sorry if it took too long to be updated. It's the end of period on my College so I'm extremely busy right now! I hope I can get time to write Chapter 18 still on this month. Seriously, I'm practically drowning in projects and exams.

I'm kinda sad right now. An authoress that I really love her stories suddenly said she's not going to to write them anymore. To tell the truth, there's a lot of good authors that are simply vanishing from our fandom :C

Disclaimer: I don't own Vocaloid.

Hope you enjoy this chapter!

Chapter 17 – Miki knows the truth.

With her daughter coming back, Lola tells the cops that the search could be concluded. The Saint Cecilia School calls Lola and they make a deal: Lola wouldn't sue them for not taking care of her daughter security (she ran away because they didn't guarded the place well enough) and they wouldn't sue Rin for "tainting" the school's name.

About Aoki's case, it was still too soon to tell, but Rin definitely wouldn't come out of this unharmed and would probably have indemnify the girl.

Lola was furious with Rin for what she had done, but at the same time she was relieved that her daughter was back safe and sound at home. They had a conversation in which Rin said that if Lola tried to send her to another school like that, she would ran away again and Lola agreed to let Rin stay in her old school, because she didn't want to relive the last week's horror again.

Lola noticed that, this time, she had lost the battle, but the war was still far from ending. She was willing to change Rin to a better person and, when she realized that both Rin and Len had caught a cold and that only after Len stayed an entire day out in the rain looking for the girl (she had gotten that conclusion by herself), she realized that the best way to change Rin was through Len.

Only a blind person wouldn't notice the feelings that Rin and Len harbored for each other. Many would say Lola was wrong for encouraging them to be together, since they are step-siblings, but she would say the opposite, because they only met each other already at their adolescence and it would be hard to control any feelings that was born in that time. She was willing to support any relationship that had a good influence on her child and took Rin from the streets. And, of course, she would love to have blonde, blue eyed grandchildren that looked like Len.

Smiling while thinking about her grandchildren, Lola went to prepare a soup for Len and Rin and get them some medicines. The two hasn't gone to school, because they were still sick for being in the rain like that.

While Lola was preparing the soup, Rin was laying on her bed in her room, her mother had taken away from her her computer and television, but had forgotten to take her handphone. At the exactly moment, Rin was changing messages with her new friend, V-flower.

"How are you?" Rin typed and clicked send.

"I'm fine, I think. I'm at some friend's home, but my parents already know where I am. I've been pretty much disowned," V-flower replied some seconds later.

"Sorry, V., I shouldn't have dragged into this…"

"Don't worry, I ran away with you because I wanted."

Yes, V-flower had run away with Rin that Day. She chose to stay at some friend's house. She is having some issues with her parents, who were too strict and paid little attention to their daughter, always locked on their jobs. They had sent V-flower to that boarding school so they wouldn't need to worry about her wellbeing.

The girl's salvation was her uncles, since she had "disappointed" her parents, they didn't want her in their houses anymore. Her uncles, however, had a very different thought of what had happened and thought the way the girl was treated by her parents were awful, so they gave her all their support. They didn't support her escape, but they supported her trying to "get her freedom". Rin believed that when V-flower moment of rebelliousness came to an end, she would end up moving to her uncles' house and her parents didn't seem to mind it.

Rin stopped talking with V-flower when she noticed the doorknob turning. She hid her handphone underneath her pillow, so Lola wouldn't remember about it, and pretended she wasn't doing anything suspicious.

"I've made soup for you, sweetie. And I brought your medicines too," said Lola when she entered the room, not noticing what Rin had done with her handphone.

"Tch!"

"Don't be like that, Rin, you need these medicines to get better!"

"I know, I know. Give me them!"

Rin took the glass with water and the medicines and swallowed them with only one gulp, giving the glass back to Lola, who smiled pleased to the girl. When Lola left the room, Rin took her phone again and sent a message to V-flower. When the girl didn't reply, Rin deduced she was busy.

Rin decided to go downstairs, because, without V-flower to talk with her, staying in her room would be really boring. When she arrived at the kitchen, the front doorbell hung and she went to answer it. It was Miki.

"Hi Rin!"

"Miki! I'm glad you're here! I'm dying of boredom! My mother grounded me, I have nothing to do!" whined Rin, pulling her friend inside.

"Haha! I kinda understand her... So, I came here to know how are you. Gumi told me you had a movie-like scene with Len in the rain and now you're sick… Rin, I never thought you and Len had something going on between the two of you! I mean, you came back home just because of him, you stayed in the rain, caught a cold just to get a kiss that, unfortunately, was interrupted by Yuuma! Tell me more about it!" Miki seemed overjoyed.

"I-It's nothing like that, Miki! You're just siblings, Gumi was kidding with you!" said Rin embarrassed, she was ashamed to admit to Miki she was in love with someone that didn't love her back.

"But..."

"Oh, Miki, I'm sorry, but Rin is grounded and she can't even meet her friend too, so, I'll have to ask you to leave..." said Lola, gently guiding the girl to the front door.

"Tch," made Rin.

"Ok, Lola. Bye bye Rin, later you will tell me the whole truth behind this!"

When Miki left, Lola went back to the kitchen and Rin sighed, turning around to sit on the couch.

"What should I do...?" Rin asked herself.

"Bored?"

Rin was startled by the voice, she looked to the side and found Len laying on the couch staring at the ceiling. He turned his face to her and smiled.

"F-for how long have you been here?" she asked.

"Hmm… One hour, maybe?"

"S-so… Did you hear everything?"

"Yes, everything…"

"Haha… Miki is kinda crazy, huh? Haha, sayind bullshits like that... haha…"

"Hm… Yes…"

Rin sat at the other side of the couch, not knowing how to initiate a conversation. Len went back to stare at the ceiling and they stayed like that for many minutes, only listening to the sounds Lola was doing at the kitchen while she prepared the dinner.

"Are you feeling better already?" the girl asked.

"Yes, a little and you?"

"Me too…"

Then they went back to the awkward silence. Why was the air between them so heavy like that? Was it because of what Miki had said? What should she have done, confirm Miki's suspicions and wait to see Len's reaction? Maybe.

Rin was saved from the awkward silence when Lola called them to eat. They stood up from the couch surrounded by the same silence and sat at the table still surrounded by it. During the dinner, only Lola was talking lively, while the two teenagers only ate, with Rin glancing at Len some times.

While they're eating. The doorbell hung and Lola stood up from the table to answer it. When she opened the door, who she saw outside surprised her.

"R-Robert?"

When she heard her mother's voice saying that name, Rin got curious, her heart started racing and she stood up from the table and went to the living room, leaving behind a confused Len. When the girl arrived at the living room, she saw her mother figure, which had a defensive stance and was clearly trembling. Rin then looked at the door.

The one who was standing in the front door was… Her father?

Filler chapter guys, Filler chapter /headshot

God, I feel like I've made every parent of this story seem to be a horrible parent!

Curious fact: I wasn't going to make V-flower run away with Rin. She was supposed to stay behind because she was too afraid of her parents. But, I got a lot of people asking to make V-flower run away too, so, here it is.

You guys are probably thinking: Why aren't Rin and Len together already?

My answer: Because I'm evil :D

But really, I have everything planned already. So, I guess this story will have 6 or 7 seven more chapters…

Sorry if there're too many mistakes or weird sentences!
